ECAPs are the summary of multiple neurons’ spikes which could be recorded by a bidirectional stimulation-recording system via the cochlear implant,with the artifact elimination paradigms of forward-masking subtraction paradigm or alternating polarity paradigm.Three kinds of FDA approved cochlear implants support ECAP testing.This article is to summarize the clinical application of ECAP lest.ECAP test after insertion of electrode during implant operation has been widely used during cochlear implant surgery.In recent years.ECAP thresholds are also used to estimate the T levels and C levels helping programming.However,correlation between ECAP thresholds and psychophysical thresholds is affected by many factors.So far,ECAPs cannot yet be a good indicator of post-operative hearing and speech performance. 展开更多

Suprathreshold compound action potential amplitude as a measure of auditory function in cochlear implant users 被引量:1

Electrically evoked compound action potential(e CAP) amplitudes elicited at suprathreshold levels were assessed as a measure of the effectiveness of cochlear implant(CI) stimulation. Twenty-one individuals participated; one was excluded due to facial stimulation during e CAP testing. For each participant, e CAPs were elicited with stimulation from seven electrodes near the upper limit of the individual's electrical dynamic range. A reduced-channel CI program was created using those same seven electrodes, and participants performed a vowel discrimination task. Consistent with previous reports, e CAP amplitudes varied across tested electrodes; the profiles were unique to each individual. In 6subjects(30%), e CAP amplitude variability was partially explained by the impedance of the recording electrode. The remaining amplitude variability within subjects, and the variability observed across subjects could not be explained by recording electrode impedance. This implies that other underlying factors, such as variations in neural status across the array, are responsible. Across-site mean e CAP amplitude was significantly correlated with vowel discrimination scores(r^2= 0.56). A single e CAP amplitude measured from the middle of the array was also significantly correlated with vowel discrimination, but the correlation was weaker(r^2= 0.37), though not statistically different from the acrosssite mean. Normalizing each e CAP amplitude by its associated recording electrode impedance did not improve the correlation with vowel discrimination(r^2= 0.52). Further work is needed to assess whether combining e CAP amplitude with other measures of the electrode-neural interface and/or with more central measures of auditory function provides a more complete picture of auditory function in CI recipients. 展开更多

Previous studies have shown that ulnar nerve compound muscle action potential recorded by the conventional“belly-tendon”montage does not accurately and completely reflect the action potential of the ulnar nerve dominating the abductor digiti minimi muscle due to the effects of far-field potentials of intrinsic hand muscles.A new method of ulnar nerve compound muscle action potential measurement was developed in 2020,which adjusts the E2 electrode from the distal tendon of the abductor digitorum to the middle of the back of the proximal wrist.This new method may reduce the influence of the reference electrode and better reflect the actual ulnar nerve compound muscle action potential.In this prospective cross-sectional study,we included 64 patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and 64 age-and sex-matched controls who underwent conventional and novel ulnar nerve compound muscle action potential measurement between April 2020 and May 2021 in Peking University Third Hospital.The compound muscle action potential waveforms recorded by the new montage were unimodal and more uniform than those recorded by traditional montage.In the controls,no significant difference in the compound muscle action potential waveforms was found between the traditional montage and new montage recordings.In amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients presenting with abductor digiti minimi spontaneous activity and muscular atrophy,the amplitude of compound muscle action potential-pE2 was significantly lower than that of compound muscle action potential-dE2(P<0.01).Using the new method,damaged axons were more likely to exhibit more severe amplitude decreases than those measured with the traditional method,in particular for patients in early stage amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.In addition,the decline in compound muscle action potential amplitude measured by the new method was correlated with a decrease in Revised Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Functional Rating Scale scores.These findings suggest that the new ulnar nerve compound muscle action potential measurement montage reduces the effects of the reference electrode through altering the E2 electrode position,and that this method is more suitable for monitoring disease progression than the traditional montage.This method may be useful as a biomarker for longitudinal follow-up and clinical trials in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. 展开更多

The optimal distance between two electrode tips during recording of compound nerve action potentials in the rat median nerve

The distance between the two electrode tips can greatly influence the parameters used for record- ing compound nerve action potentials. To investigate the optimal parameters for these recordings in the rat median nerve, we dissociated the nerve using different methods and compound nerve action potentials were orthodromically or antidromically recorded with different electrode spac- ings. Compound nerve action potentials could be consistently recorded using a method in which the middle part of the median nerve was intact, with both ends dissociated from the surrounding fascia and a ground wire inserted into the muscle close to the intact part. When the distance be- tween two stimulating electrode tips was increased, the threshold and supramaximal stimulating intensity of compound nerve action potentials were gradually decreased, but the amplitude was not changed significantly. When the distance between two recording electrode tips was increased, the amplitude was gradually increased, but the threshold and supramaximal stimulating intensity exhibited no significant change. Different distances between recording and stimulating sites did not produce significant effects on the aforementioned parameters. A distance of 5 mm between recording and stimulating electrodes and a distance of 10 mm between recording and stimulating sites were found to be optimal for compound nerve action potential recording in the rat median nerve. In addition, the orthodromic compound action potential, with a biphasic waveform that was more stable and displayed less interference (however also required a higher threshold and higher supramaximal stimulus), was found to be superior to the antidromic compound action potential. 展开更多

Theory of pleiotropic action of biologically active compounds and medicines—Basic principles and practical application

This article represents the main positions of the theory of pleiotropic action of biologically active compounds (BACs) and medicines, which has been designed by the author based on her own experimental researches. The term “pleiotropy” means the ability of the BACs and medicines to implement more than one mechanism of action resulting in the specific biological (pharmacological) effect. The interaction of these mechanisms forms a distinct pattern of biological response (pleiotropic pattern), which reflects the change in his character with the increased dose (concentration)-dependent efficacy of BACs and medicines. The article consists of description of different pleiotropic patterns established in experiments on the model of reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation by macrophages dependent on activity of specialized enzyme called Nox2-NAD(P)H oxidase (Nox2, EC 1.6.3.1). Moreover, it consists of explanation of pharmacodynamic nature of pleiotropic patterns by means of application Chou-Talalay median effect equalization and combination index (CI) theory. The novel theory explains unsolved until now universal aspects of activity BACs and medicines, such as slope angles of “dose-effect” dependences in the conditions relevant in vivo, and it is of fundamental interest. However, it has applications in experimental pharmacology, as it allows defining the choice of the individual compounds and combinations, modulating the trust effect selectively and efficiently. This knowledge opens up new approaches to medicines discovery and evaluation, their rational dosing and combining. 展开更多

花生油体对冰淇淋质构特性的影响及作用机制

为了改善花生油体冰淇淋的品质,通过将花生油体制备成油体凝胶,花生油体与少量氢化棕榈仁油、椰子油复配2种形式作为脂肪来源添加到冰淇淋中,与乳脂冰淇淋对比,探究其对冰淇淋质构特性的影响及品质作用机制。结果表明,不同浓度的油凝胶... 为了改善花生油体冰淇淋的品质,通过将花生油体制备成油体凝胶,花生油体与少量氢化棕榈仁油、椰子油复配2种形式作为脂肪来源添加到冰淇淋中,与乳脂冰淇淋对比,探究其对冰淇淋质构特性的影响及品质作用机制。结果表明,不同浓度的油凝胶均能使花生油体冰淇淋的抗融性提高,硬度增强,但膨胀率没有明显提高,与乳脂冰淇淋相差20%左右。为了提高花生油体冰淇淋的膨胀率,还需要进一步研究花生油体与少量植物油复配的方法。随着花生油体比例降低,冰淇淋的膨胀率和抗融性提高,硬度降低。最后研究冰淇淋乳液对冰淇淋品质的作用机制,发现花生油体复配的冰淇淋乳液黏度和稳定性最高,界面蛋白含量最接近乳脂冰淇淋。当花生油体∶氢化棕榈仁油∶椰子油复配质量比为6∶3∶1时,冰淇淋膨胀率为49.57%,融化率为20.97%,硬度为6.61 N,乳液及冰淇淋的性质与对照组较为平衡,可以获得品质较优的花生油体冰淇淋。 展开更多

原卟啉化合物JE02对水稻生长的作用及生理机制

[目的]明确原卟啉化合物JE02对水稻生长的影响,探索其促进生长的作用机制,为合理使用原卟啉结构类植物生长调节剂提供理论依据。[方法]采用整株生物测定法探究JE02茎叶处理对水稻生长的影响,并从光合参数、根系活力及抗氧化能力方面研究相关生理机制。[结果]用JE02有效成分剂量3.75~30.00 mg·hm^(-2)对3叶期水稻‘南粳46’喷雾处理,其鲜重与空白对照存在显著差异,较空白对照增加4.28%~12.46%,且最佳促进剂量为有效成分剂量15 mg·hm^(-2);分蘖期、拔节期、孕穗期连续3次喷施有效成分剂量15 mg·hm^(-2)的JE02对水稻的促进效果最为明显,鲜重、茎粗、根重、根数分别提高9.32%、12.92%、16.50%和8.95%。苗期喷施JE02使水稻根系活力与对照呈现显著差异,药后5 d达最大值(498.93 mg·g^(-1)·h^(-1)),较对照组提高30.77%。JE02可增强灌浆期水稻抗氧化酶(SOD、POD、CAT)活性及非酶促抗氧化剂(AsA)含量,差异最大时可分别较对照提高11.98%、41.90%、16.92%和73.70%;丙二醛(MDA)含量较对照降低33.11%,对超氧阴离子(O_(2)^(·-))产生速率、过氧化氢(H_(2)O_(2))含量无显著影响;还可通过提高水稻旗叶叶片叶绿素含量、净光合速率(P_(n))、气孔导度(G_(s))、蒸腾速率(T_(r))和光合系统Ⅱ实际光化学效率(∅PSⅡ)促进光合作用,但对胞间CO_(2)浓度(C_(i))和光合系统Ⅱ最大光化学效率(F_(v)/F_(m))无显著影响。[结论]JE02对水稻生长有促进作用,主要通过提升水稻根系活力、增强光合作用以及提高抗氧化酶活性等途径促进其生长。 展开更多

类风湿关节炎(RA)是一种常见的以滑膜炎为主要表现的慢性全身性自身免疫性疾病,常引起关节肿痛甚至畸形,被认为是一种无法治愈的终身疾病。当前西医治疗虽然可以缓解病情的进展,但存在肝损伤、心血管并发症等不良反应和易于复发的临床... 类风湿关节炎(RA)是一种常见的以滑膜炎为主要表现的慢性全身性自身免疫性疾病,常引起关节肿痛甚至畸形,被认为是一种无法治愈的终身疾病。当前西医治疗虽然可以缓解病情的进展,但存在肝损伤、心血管并发症等不良反应和易于复发的临床局限性。中医药历史悠久,具有个体化治疗、不良反应少等优点,可有效缓解RA患者关节肿痛的症状、减缓骨破坏的进程,受到了医学界的广泛关注。Janus激酶(JAK)/信号传导及转录激活因子(STAT)信号通路是细胞内参与细胞增殖、分化、凋亡和免疫调节等生物学行为的重要通路,在RA病理生理过程发挥重要作用。近年来,众多研究证实中药单体及复方可以通过调控JAK/STAT信号通路抑制炎症反应和血管生成,诱导成纤维细胞样滑膜细胞(FLS)凋亡并抑制其增殖,调节免疫反应,从而在RA的治疗中发挥作用。但目前尚缺少全面而系统的归纳与概述。因此,该文通过检索中国知网(CNKI)、Pubmed数据库2009—2024年的相关文献,阐述JAK/STAT信号通路在RA发生发展过程中的作用机制,并系统总结中药单体及复方调控JAK/STAT信号通路干预RA的研究进展,以期为临床上中药治疗RA和新药物研发提供新思路、新策略。 展开更多

人工耳蜗植入者位置特异性相间间隙效应与竞争语境言语识别的相关性研究初探

目的探讨人工耳蜗植入(CI)者外周听神经功能通过相间间隙(interphase gap effect,IPG)效应评估与竞争语境言语识别表现的相关性,分析不同耳蜗区域的神经功能贡献差异。方法纳入13例单侧Nurotron CS-20A(TM)CI者,年龄9~68岁,植入时间0.25... 目的探讨人工耳蜗植入(CI)者外周听神经功能通过相间间隙(interphase gap effect,IPG)效应评估与竞争语境言语识别表现的相关性,分析不同耳蜗区域的神经功能贡献差异。方法纳入13例单侧Nurotron CS-20A(TM)CI者,年龄9~68岁,植入时间0.25~14年,植入电极长度均为22 mm。测量蜗顶至蜗底4个电极(E1:213 Hz,E7:945 Hz,E13:1920 Hz,E19:3992 Hz)在IPG为5μs与30μs的电诱发复合动作电位(electrically evoked compound action potential,ECAP),通过计算振幅增长函数(amplitude growth function,AGF)斜率,获得IPG效应。言语测试包括:(1)安静与稳态噪声(+5 dB SNR)下双音节词/短句识别正确率;(2)同性(男声)与异性(女声)竞争掩蔽下的闭集短句识别阈(threshold of masked speech recognition,TMR dB)。结果IPG效应存在个体间及电极间差异(E1:18%,E7:51%,E13:56%,E19:28%;引出率61.5%~84.6%)。E1(低频区)IPG效应与安静/噪声下双音节词识别率(r=0.555-0.723,P<0.05)、噪声下句子识别率(r=0.589,P=0.034)呈正相关,与女声掩蔽识别阈呈负相关(r=-0.637,P=0.019)。结论IPG效应与言语识别表现存在明确的位置特异性关联,蜗顶区编码低频声信号的神经功能(E1)是噪声与竞争语境下言语感知的关键生物标志物。IPG效应可作为评估外周听神经健康的特异性指标。 展开更多

According to the Cd-Sb alloy phase diagram, resistivity, heat capacity, partial molar entropy and viscosity,the structural units of this alloy melt have been determined as Cd and Sb atoms as well as Cd3Sb2, Cd4Sb3 and CdSb compounds.Based on these structural units and the coexistence theory of metallic melt structure involing compound formation,a calculating model of mass action concentrations has been deduced.The calculated mass action concentrations Ncd are in good agreement with measured activities acd. The Gibbs standard free energy of formatioin for above three compunds have been obtained too. 展开更多

阿尔茨海默病(AD)是一种常见的痴呆类型,主要表现为认知行为障碍和学习记忆缺陷。AD的发展已给社会和家庭带来巨大的经济负担,但其确切发病原因尚未完全阐明。目前可用的治疗药物有限,通常还会伴随着严重的不良反应。中药及提取物多为... 阿尔茨海默病(AD)是一种常见的痴呆类型,主要表现为认知行为障碍和学习记忆缺陷。AD的发展已给社会和家庭带来巨大的经济负担,但其确切发病原因尚未完全阐明。目前可用的治疗药物有限,通常还会伴随着严重的不良反应。中药及提取物多为天然产物,有着多途径,不良反应小等优势。一些实验已经表明中药在AD治疗和预防方面显示出巨大潜力,如黄连解毒汤、当归芍药散、开心散、六味地黄丸、补阳还五汤、人参、黄芪、钩藤、黄连、栀子、银杏、丹参、姜黄等,能减少β-淀粉样蛋白沉积、抑制Tau蛋白过度磷酸化、修复线粒体功能、改善氧化应激、抑制神经炎症及细胞凋亡、修复突触功能及改善肠道菌群。该文主要总结了一些中药及其中药复方对AD的影响作用,为后续中药治疗AD提供参考。 展开更多
