The Influence of LOS Components on the Statistical Properties of the Capacity of Amplify-and-Forward Channels

Amplify-and-forward channels in cooperative networks provide a promising improvement in the network coverage and system throughput. Under line-of-sight (LOS) propagation conditions in such cooperative networks, the overall fading channel can be modeled by a double Rice process. In this article, we have stud-ied the statistical properties of the capacity of double Rice fading channels. We have derived the analytical expressions for the probability density function (PDF), cumulative distribution function (CDF), level- crossing rate (LCR), and average duration of fades (ADF) of the channel capacity. The obtained results are studied for different values of the amplitudes of the LOS components in the two links of double Rice fading channels. It has been observed that the statistics of the capacity of double Rice fading channels are quite dif-ferent from those of double Rayleigh and classical Rice fading channels. Moreover, the presence of an LOS component in any of the two links increases the mean channel capacity and the LCR of the channel capacity. The validity of the theoretical results is confirmed by simulations. The results presented in this article can be very useful for communication system designers to optimize the performance of cooperative networks in wireless communication systems. 展开更多

Differences in Chlorophyll Fluorescence Parameters, Yield and Its Components Between Different Genotypes of Wheat Under Waterlogging Conditions at Anthesis 被引量:4

Waterlogging is one of the most factors limiting wheat production in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River Plain of China,especially in the middle and late stages of wheat.Wheat varieties‘Jingmai102’(JM102)and‘Yangmai158’(YM158)were planted to study the dynamic changes of photosynthetic characteristics in flag leaf and the influence of waterlogging at anthesis on the yield and components and dry matter accumulation and remobilization of winter wheat in above ground.The results showed that the SPAD values slightly increased at 1 day after anthesis(d),and then kept decreasing with the increase of waterlogging time.The decrease in SPAD value was more remarkably in YM158 than that in JM102.As for the chlorophyll fluorescence parameters,the photochemical efficiency(Fv/Fm),potential activity(Fv/Fo)of photosystem II,and electronic transmission(Fm/Fo)on photosystem II increased first and then decreased with the increase of waterlogging days after anthesis.The quantum ratio of heat dissipation(Fo/Fm)had a tendency opposite to that of Fv/Fm,and the change range of JM102 was lower than that of YM158.For the grain yield and components,waterlogging at anthesis decreased the dry weight of single stem,grain yield,1 000-kernel weight,spikelet per panicle,and harvest index,and the reduction of JM102 was smaller than that of YM158.As for the accumulation and remobilization of dry matter,the accumulation of dry matter after anthesis decreased significantly under waterlogging condition(WL),and the reduction of JM102 was smaller than that of YM158.In conclusion,waterlogging at anthesis significantly affected the photosynthetic characteristics,yield and components in both varieties,but different varieties exhibited different tolerances to waterlogging stress and YM158 was more sensitive to water stress than JM102. 展开更多

The present study was designed to investigate whether a combination of four effective components derived from Sheng-mai san(SMXZF; ginsenoside Rb1: ginsenoside Rg1: DT^(–1)3: Schizandrol A as 6 : 9 : 4 : 5) could attenuate hydrogen peroxide(H_2O_2)-induced injury in PC12 cells, focusing on the Akt and MAPK pathways. The PC12 cells were exposed to H_2O_2(400 mmol·L^(–1)) for 1 h in the presence or absence of SMXZF pre-treatment for 24 h. Cell viability was measured by MTT assay. The efflux of lactate dehydrogenase(LDH), the intracellular content of malondialdehyde(MDA), the activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD), and caspase-3 were also determined. Cell apoptosis was measured by Hoechst 33342 staining and Annexin V-FITC/PI staining method. The expression of Bcl-2, Bax, cleaved caspase-3, Akt, and MAPKs were detected by Western blotting analyses. SMXZF pretreatment significantly increased the cell viability and SOD activity and improved the cell morphological changes, while reduced the levels of LDH and MDA at the concentrations of 0.1, 1 and 10 μg·m L^(–1). SMXZF also inhibited H_2O_2-induced apoptosis in PC12 cells. Moreover, SMXZF reduced the activity of caspase-3, up-regulated the protein ratio of Bcl-2 and Bax and inhibited the expression of cleaved caspase-3, p-Akt, p-p38, p-JNK and p-ERK1/2 in H_2O_2-induced PC12 cells. Co-incubation of Akt inhibitor or p38 inhibitor partly attenuated the protection of SMXZF against H_2O_2-injured PC12 cells. In conclusion, our findings suggested that SMXZF attenuated H_2O_2-induced injury in PC12 cells by inhibiting Akt and MAPKs signaling pathways, which might shed insights on its neuroprotective mechanism. 展开更多

AIM: To investigate the metabolic profiles of xenograft pancreatic cancer before and after radiotherapy by high-resolution magic angle spinning proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (HRMAS 1H NMR) combined with principal components analysis (PCA) and evaluate the radiotherapeutic effect. METHODS: The nude mouse xenograft model of human pancreatic cancer was established by injecting human pancreatic cancer cell SW1990 subcutaneously into the nude mice. When the tumors volume reached 800 mm3 , the mice received various radiation doses. Two weeks later, tumor tissue sections were prepared for running the NMR measurements. 1H NMR and PCA were used to determine the changes in the metabolic profiles of tumor tissues after radiotherapy. Metabolic profiles of normal pancreas, pancreatic tumor tissues, and radiationtreated pancreatic tumor tissues were compared. RESULTS: Compared with 1H NMR spectra of the normal nude mouse pancreas, the levels of choline, taurine, alanine, isoleucine, leucine, valine, lactate, and glutamic acid of the pancreatic cancer group were increased, whereas an opposite trend for phosphocholine, glycerophosphocholine, and betaine was observed. The ratio of phosphocholine to creatine, and glycerophosphocholine to creatine showed noticeable decrease in the pancreatic cancer group. After further evaluation of the tissue metabolic profile after treatment with three different radiation doses, no significant change in metabolites was observed in the 1H NMR spectra, while the inhibition of tumor growth was in proportion to the radiation doses. However, PCA results showed that the levels of choline and betaine were decreased with the increased radiation dose, and conversely, the level of acetic acid was dramatically increased. CONCLUSION: The combined methods were demonstrated to have the potential for allowing early diagnosis and assessment of pancreatic cancer response to radiotherapy. 展开更多

[Objectives]To establish an HPLC method for the quantitative determination of multiple phenolic acid components in Tetracera asiatica medicinal material,providing a basis for establishing its quality standards.[Methods]An Inertsil ODS-C 18 column(250 mm×4.6 mm,5μm)was used.The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-0.2% phosphoric acid solution(10:90).The flow rate was 1.0 mL/min.The detection wavelength was 274 nm.The column temperature was 25℃.The injection volume was 10μL.The content of three components,gallic acid,protocatechuic acid,and protocatechualdehyde,was determined in 13 batches of T.asiatica.[Results]Gallic acid showed good linearity within the range of 0.020-6.400μg/mL,protocatechuic acid within 0.201-6.432μg/mL,and protocatechualdehyde within 0.202-6.464μg/mL(r>0.9990).The average recovery rates ranged from 98.61%to 101.17%,with RSD s between 1.21%and 2.69%.[Conclusions]The quantitative determination method established in this study is simple and feasible,and can provide a basis for the quality evaluation of T.asiatica. 展开更多

In this study, volatile compounds present in Toona sinensis (A. Juss.) Roem (TS) were investigated and their characteristic aromatic components were identified using Headspace Solid-phase Microextraction (HS-SPME) followed by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and Gas Chromatography-Olfactometry (GC-O). The optimum conditions for extracting the volatiles from TS were achieved with the experimental parameters including the use of a 65 μm polydimethylsiloxane/divinyl benzene (PDMS/DVB) fibre, an extraction temperature of 40℃ and an extraction time of 30 min. Under these conditions, 56 volatile compounds were separated and 53 were identified by GC-MS. Among them, 21 sulfide compounds (42.146%) and 27 terpenes(55.984%) were found to be the major components. The sample was analyzed by GC-O and 26 elutes were sniffed and their sensory descriptions evaluated by an odor panelists. Analysis of the data indicated, two compounds cis and trans isomers of 2-Mercapto-3,4-dimethyl-2,3-dihydrothiophene were major contributors to the characteristic aroma of TS. 展开更多

Nuclear bodies have long been noted in interphase nuclei of plant cells, but their structural component, origin and function are still unclear by now. The present work showed in onion cells the nuclear bodies appeared as a spherical structure about 0.3 to 0.8 microm in diameter. They possibly were formed in nucleolus and subsequently released, and entered into nucleoplasm. Observation through cytochemical staining method at the ultrastructural level confirmed that nuclear bodies consisted of ribonucleoproteins (RNPs) and silver-stainable proteins. Immunocytochemical results revealed that nuclear bodies contained no DNA and ribosomal gene transcription factor (UBF). Based on these data, we suggested that nuclear bodies are not related to the ribosome or other gene transcription activities, instead they may act as subnuclear structures for RNPs transport from nucleolus to cytoplasm, and may also be involved in splicing of pre-mRNAs. 展开更多

Carrot juice was fermented by probiotic Lactobacillus casei( CTCF-LC1) and Lactobacillus reuteri( CTCF-LT1) with sensory score as the main evaluation index,and the fermentation process was optimized by single factor and response surface experiments.The optimum ratio of fermentative strains CTCF-LC1∶ CTCF-LT1 was 1∶ 1,fermentation time was 8 h,inoculum size was 3.1% and fermentation temperature was26.6℃.Under the optimum conditions,the sensory score of fermented carrot juice was 91.3,pH was 4.50,total acid content was 3.73 g/L,total sugar content was 54.25 g/L,and reducing sugar content was 28.41 g/L.The carrot juice has bright orange color and stable state.It not only has the fresh flavor of fruit and vegetable juice,but also has the unique aroma from lactic acid bacteria fermentation,as well as soft and even taste,moderate acidity and sweetness.The changes of aroma components of carrot juice before and after fermentation were analyzed by headspace solid phase microextraction( HSPME) coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry( GC-MS).After fermentation,substances with medicinal flavor components were reduced,and a lot of floral and fruit-scented substances were produced,such as methyl myristate,β-pinene,phenylethanol,and geraniol.Therefore,the results of this study can provide a theoretical basis for the development of fermented fruit and vegetable juice products with unique flavor substances. 展开更多

In order to better blend green plum wine and study aromatic components of green plum wine,a qualitative analysis on aromatic components of soaked base liquor,green plum soaked wine,green plum juice,and fermented wine of green plum juice by Head Space Solid-phase Microextraction( HS-SPME) and Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer( GC-MS) was studied in this paper. Experiment results indicated that14,32,17,and 46 kinds of aromatic components were identified respectively from four samples. Different aromatic components determined the special flavor and taste of green plum wine. Unique aromatic components generated in soaking process include benzaldehyde,1-butanol,2-methyl-,S-(-),benzoic acid ethyl ester,and 5-( hydroxymethyl). Special aromatic components in green plum juice were furfural,phenylethyl alcohol,and benzyl alcohol. The aromatic components in fermented wine of green plum juice mainly included phenylethyl alcohol( 6. 941%,relative content of peak area,same below),1-butanol,3-methyl-( 6. 940%),octanoic acid,ethyl ester( 3. 734%),decanoic acid,ethyl ester( 2. 590%),hexanoic acid,ethyl ester( 2. 479%),ethyl 9-decenoate( 2. 080%),and 5-hydroxymethyl( 1. 756%). Background Recovery colleges (RCs) support personal recovery through education, skill development and social support for people with mental health problems, carers and staff. Guided by co-production and adult learning principles, RCs represent a recent mental health innovation. Since the first RC opened in England in 2009, RCs have expanded to 28 countries and territories. However, most RC research has been conducted in Western countries with similar cultural characteristics, limiting understanding of how RCs can be culturally adapted. The 12-item Recovery Colleges Characterisation and Testing (RECOLLECT) Fidelity Measure (RFM) evaluates the operational fidelity of RCs based on 12 components, but cultural influences on these components remain underexplored.Aims To assess associations between Hofstede’s cultural dimensions and RFM items to identify cultural influences on fidelity components.Methods A cross-sectional survey of RC managers was conducted across all 221 RCs. Mixed-effects regression models examined associations between Hofstede’s country-level cultural dimensions and item-level RFM scores, adjusted for healthcare expenditure and income inequality. Four cultural dimensions, obtained from Hofstede, were analysed: individualism (prioritising personal needs), indulgence (enjoyment-oriented), uncertainty avoidance (preference for predictability) and long-term orientation (future-focused).Results The RFM was completed by 169 (76%) RC managers. Seven RFM items showed associations with cultural dimensions. Equality was linked to short-term orientation, while learning was associated with individualism and uncertainty avoidance. Both individualism and indulgence influenced co-production and community focus. Commitment to recovery was shaped by all four cultural dimensions, with the strongest associations seen for individualism and indulgence. Individualism enhanced explicit focus on strengths-based practice, while uncertainty avoidance influenced course distinctiveness.Conclusions This study demonstrates how culture shapes RC fidelity components, providing actionable insights for cultural adaptation. Incorporating under-represented dimensions, such as collectivism and restraint, could improve the RFM’s global applicability, facilitating implementation. Future research should explore cultural nuances, engage diverse stakeholders and refine fidelity measures to enhance RC inclusivity and effectiveness worldwide. 展开更多

In this work, we present a new method of directly determining Fourier components of the spatial correlation function of the dielectric susceptibility of random medium. The method is based on the analysis of the ratio of the spectrum of the light scattered by the spatial correlation components of the dielectric susceptibility of tissue to the spectrum of light scattered by the randomly distributed scatterers which are independent on the value of the spectrum of the incident light and the direction of the observation. [Objectives]To explore the effects of different sterilization conditions on nutrition and flavor of apple vinegar.[Methods]Five kinds of high temperature short time(HTST)sterilization conditions were selected to treat apple vinegar,and the volatile aroma components and the content of active components in apple vinegar before and after sterilization were analyzed.[Results]Compared with the control,the contents of total acid and malic acid in the samples after sterilization changed little,but the contents of citric acid increased significantly(P<0.01),and the contents of total phenols,ascorbic acid and total flavonoids decreased.Ethyl acetate,isopentyl acetate,ethyl caprylate,phenethyl acetate,1-pentanol,phenylethyl alcohol,acetic acid,and sec-butyl ether were the characteristic aroma components which contributed to the flavor of apple vinegar.As sterilization temperature increased,the content of esters decreased,while the content of acids,alcohols and aldehydes increased.The contents of nutrition,active components and volatile aroma components in apple vinegar under 100℃and 30 s sterilization conditions had little change compared with other sterilization conditions,so 100℃and 30 s were the optimal sterilization conditions.[Conclusions]Under different sterilization conditions,the content of flavor components in apple vinegar will change greatly,which will affect the quality of apple vinegar. 展开更多

Contribution of soil fauna to the degradation of recalcitrant components in Cinnamomum camphora foliar litter in different-sized gaps in Pinus massoniana plantations

Forest gaps are important in forest dynamics and management, but little is known about how soil fauna influence the degradation of recalcitrant litter components in different-sized forest gaps. This investigation uses litterbags with two different mesh sizes (0.04 and 3 mm) to control the meso- and microfauna entering the bags to quantify the contribution of soil fauna to the degradation of recalcitrant components (including condensed tannins, total phenol, lignin and cellulose) during litter decomposition. The experiment was conducted in seven different forest gap sizes in Pinus massoniana plantations over 1 year. One closed-canopy site (CC) and forest gap sizes of 100, 225, 400, 625, 900, 1225 and 1600 m^2 were created in a P. massoniana plantation in the Sichuan basin of China;the CC was treated as the control. Cinnamomum camphora foliage from local native trees was used in all forest gap experiments. We found the following:(1) Gap size had significant effects on the degradation rates (E) of condensed tannins and lignin and on the contributions of soil fauna;medium-sized gaps also presented high degradation rates. Soil fauna obviously contributed to the degradation of recalcitrant foliar litter components in medium-sized gaps.(2) The highest contribution to degradation (40.98%) was recorded for lignin, and the lowest contribution (0.29%) was recorded for condensed tannins. The results indicate that medium-sized gaps (900 m^2) were conducive to the degradation of recalcitrant litter components by soil fauna. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Acute myocardial infarction(AMI)is a leading cause of mortality.Early reperfusion to restore blood flow is crucial to successful treatment.In the current reperfusion regimen,an increasing number of patients have benefited from direct percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).In order to understand whether there is a correlation between the components of coronary thrombosis and the absence of reflow or slow blood flow after coronary stent implantation in direct PCI,we collected data on direct PCI cases in our hospital between January 2016 and November 2018.AIM To investigate the correlation between intracoronary thrombus components and coronary blood flow after stent implantation in direct PCI in AMI.METHODS We enrolled 154 patients(85 male and 69 female,aged 36–81 years)with direct PCI who underwent thrombus catheter aspiration within<3,3–6 or 6–12 h of onset of AMI between January 2016 and November 2018.The thrombus was removed for pathological examination under a microscope.The patients of the three groups according to the onset time of AMI were further divided into those with a white or red thrombus.The thrombolysis in myocardial infarction(TIMI)blood flow after stent implantation was recorded based on digital subtraction angiography during PCI.The number of patients with no-reflow and slow blood flow in each group was counted.Statistical analysis was performed based on data such as onset time,TIMI blood flow.RESULTS There were significant differences in thrombus components between the patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction and non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(P<0.01).In the group with PCI<3 h after onset of AMI,there was no significant difference in the incidence of no-reflow and slow-flow between the white and red thrombus groups.In the groups with PCI 3-6 and 6-12 h after onset of AMI,there was a significant difference in the incidence of no-reflow and slow-flow between the white and red thrombus groups(P<0.01).There was a significant correlation between the onset time of AMI and the occurrences of no-reflow and slow blood flow during PCI(P<0.01).CONCLUSION In direct PCI,the onset time of AMI and color of coronary thrombus are often used to predict whether there will be no reflow or slow blood flow after stent implantation. 展开更多

目的比较不同干燥方式对瓜蒌皮药材品质的影响,优选出适宜的瓜蒌皮药材产地现代干燥加工方法。方法收集安徽产新鲜瓜蒌皮,分别采用传统与现代产地加工干燥方法[40、50、60、70℃控温热风干燥,40、50、60、70℃微波真空干燥(真空度-0.08 ... 目的比较不同干燥方式对瓜蒌皮药材品质的影响,优选出适宜的瓜蒌皮药材产地现代干燥加工方法。方法收集安徽产新鲜瓜蒌皮,分别采用传统与现代产地加工干燥方法[40、50、60、70℃控温热风干燥,40、50、60、70℃微波真空干燥(真空度-0.08 MPa),50、60、70℃中短波红外干燥,-80℃真空冻干干燥,晒干,阴干]加工处理,结合干燥样品外观性状,以药效成分(5种黄酮类芦丁、木犀草苷、芹菜素-7-O-葡萄糖醛酸苷、芹菜素、橘红素,3种三萜类葫芦素D、葫芦素B、葫芦素E)、营养滋补类成分(2种糖类葡萄糖、果糖,18种氨基酸类苯丙氨酸、L-亮氨酸、异亮氨酸、L-色氨酸、γ-氨基丁酸、L-蛋氨酸、L-缬氨酸、脯氨酸、L-酪氨酸、反式-4-羟基-L-脯氨酸、L-苏氨酸、L-谷氨酸、L-谷氨酰胺、L-丝氨酸、L-天门冬酰胺、L-瓜氨酸、L-精氨酸、L-赖氨酸,12种核苷类胸腺嘧啶核苷、2′-脱氧尿苷、腺嘌呤、尿苷、腺苷、2′-脱氧肌苷、肌苷、胞嘧啶、鸟嘌呤、2′-脱氧鸟苷、胞苷、鸟苷)共40种资源性化学成分的组成及含量为评价指标,对不同干燥加工方法所得瓜蒌皮药材样品的品质进行综合评价。利用主成分分析(PCA)法,优选瓜蒌皮最佳现代干燥加工方法。结果不同干燥品中,药效成分及营养滋补类成分含量差异较大,其中果糖及葡萄糖质量分数分别为9.78%~21.32%、4.46%~15.63%;70℃微波真空干燥处理获得的瓜蒌皮所含黄酮类和四环三萜类成分总量最高,40℃控温热风干燥处理的总量最低。通过对14种不同干燥方式获得的瓜蒌皮样品进行综合评价分析,发现70℃控温热风干燥、70℃中短波红外干燥、-80℃真空冻干干燥、50℃微波真空干燥和60℃控温热风干燥方式获得的样品有效成分含量均优于传统晒干。结论结合药材的外观性状、色泽、质地、干燥时间及功效成分含量等因素,基于目前企业设备现状,建议70℃控温热风干燥为瓜蒌皮产地加工条件;基于未来新型设备的发展,70℃中短波红外干燥可作为瓜蒌皮产地加工的发展方向。研究结果将为瓜蒌皮药材产地加工的规范化和品质特征的形成提供借鉴。 展开更多
