Performance of STBC-MC-CDMA system based on complex wavelet packet and turbo coding

On the basis of analyzing the principle of the space-time coding technique and the multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) technique, adopting the turbo codes as channel coding and the optimized complex wavelet packet as multi-carrier modulation, a novel space-time block coded the MC-CDMA system based on complex wavelet packet and turbo coding is proposed, and the system bit error rate (BER) performance in the Rayleigh fading channel is investigated. The system can make full use of space-time block codes' transmit diversity and turbo codes' good ability against fading channel to improve the BER performance significantly, and it can also avoid the decrease of spectrum efficiency of conventional MC-CDMA due to inserting cyclic prefix (CP) by utilizing superior characteristics of the optimized complex wavelet packet. Simulation results show that the proposed space-time block coded MC-CDMA system based on the complex wavelet packet performs better than the conventional space-time block coded MC-CDMA (STBC-MC-CDMA) system, and slightly outperforms the STBC-MC-CDMA with CP. Moreover, the application of the space-time block coding technique concatenated with turbo codes strengthens the system ability to combat various interferences in fading channel further. 展开更多

The complex wavelet packet transform (CWPT) combine the merits of real wavelet packet transform with that of complex continuous wavelet transform (CCWT). It can not only pick up the phase information of signal, but also produce better ″focal- izing″ function if it matches the phase spectrum of signals analyzed. We here described the dual-tree CWPT algo- rithm, and gave the examples of simulation and actual seismic signals analysis. As shown by our results, the dual-tree CWPT is a very effective method in analyzing seismic signals with non-linear phase. 展开更多

Textile-reinforced composites,due to their excellent highstrength-to-low-mass ratio, provide promising alternatives to conventional structural materials in many high-tech sectors. 3D braided composites are a kind of advanced composites reinforced with 3D braided fabrics; the complex nature of 3D braided composites makes the evaluation of the quality of the product very difficult. In this investigation,a defect recognition platform for 3D braided composites evaluation was constructed based on dual-tree complex wavelet packet transform( DT-CWPT) and backpropagation( BP) neural networks. The defects in 3D braided composite materials were probed and detected by an ultrasonic sensing system. DT-CWPT method was used to analyze the ultrasonic scanning pulse signals,and the feature vectors of these signals were extracted into the BP neural networks as samples. The type of defects was identified and recognized with the characteristic ultrasonic wave spectra. The position of defects for the test samples can be determined at the same time. This method would have great potential to evaluate the quality of 3D braided composites. 展开更多

It is based on using the Complex Wavelet Transform (CWT) together with the Wavelet Packet Modulation (WPM). The proposed system has been tested for communication over flat and frequency selective Rayleigh fading channels and its performance has been compared with some other multicarrier systems. The simulation results show that the performance of the proposed CWPM system has the best performance in all types of channel considered as compared with OFDM, Slantlet based OFDM, FRAT based OFDM and WPM systems. A satellite image adaptive restoration method was developed that avoids ringing artifacts at the image boundary and retains oriented features. The method combines periodic plus smooth image decom- position with complex wavelet packet transforms. The framework first decomposes a degraded satellite im- age into the sum of a "periodic component" and a "smooth component". The Bayesian method is then used to estimate the modulation transfer function degradation parameters and the noise. The periodic component is deconvoluted using complex wavelet packet transforms with the deconvolution result of the periodic component then combined with the smooth component to get the final recovered result. Tests show that this strategy effectively avoids ringing artifacts while preserving local image details (especially directional tex- tures) without amplifying the noise. Quantitative comparisons illustrate that the results are comparable with previous methods. Another benefit is that this approach can process large satellite images with parallel processing, which is important for practical use. 展开更多

W Lawton' s method for complex valued wavelets construction is extended to generate the complex valued compactly supported wavelet packets that are symmetrical and unitary orthogonal; then well-defined wavelet packets are chosen by the analysis remarks on their time-frequency characteristics. Since the traditional wavelel packets transform coefficients do not exactly represent the strength of signal components, a modified adaptive wavelets transform, group-normalized wavelet packet transform (GNWPT), is presented and utilized for target extraction from formidable clutter or noises with the time-frequency masking technique. The extended definition of lp-norm entropy improves the performance cf GNWPT. Owing to the intrinsic nonlinearities of the system,a contracting mechanism,such as myogenic response,may induce different oscillatory patterns.Many specialists discussed the relations of oscillatory patterns with intrinsic control system or some pathological condition,but there is no single,well-defined criterion to achieve the identification of regular,stochastic,and chaotic activities.In this paper,we focus on the Mallat algorithm of wavelet packet and use it in the identification of the regular periodic,stochastic,and chaotic fluctuations.According to the specific frequency configuration of the chaos activity,we select proper layers of decomposition of wavelet packet and did fine segments to the frequency of signals.The frequency band of energy convergence could be recognized.The signal of periodic,stochastic,and chaotic could be distinguished depending on it.Numerical experiment is given to show its efficiency.Experiments on 12 babies' lung data have been done.This identification by means of wavelet packet could support the cardiologist or cerebral specialist to do more observation and deeper analysis to physic signals. 展开更多

A group activity recognition algorithm is proposed to improve the recognition accuracy in video surveillance by using complex wavelet domain based Cayley-Klein metric learning.Non-sampled dual-tree complex wavelet packet transform(NS-DTCWPT)is used to decompose the human images in videos into multi-scale and multi-resolution.An improved local binary pattern(ILBP)and an inner-distance shape context(IDSC)combined with bag-of-words model is adopted to extract the decomposed high and low frequency coefficient features.The extracted coefficient features of the training samples are used to optimize Cayley-Klein metric matrix by solving a nonlinear optimization problem.The group activities in videos are recognized by using the method of feature extraction and Cayley-Klein metric learning.Experimental results on behave video set,group activity video set,and self-built video set show that the proposed algorithm has higher recognition accuracy than the existing algorithms. 展开更多

The vibration signal of the generator set in different states is analyzed by using the signal re construction technique of the wavelet packet theory. The time domain method is given for the generator set fault diagnosis. 机械零件的损伤检测对于保障机械设备的安全稳定运行至关重要。针对因多种因素影响导致机械零件激光超声损伤信号特征模糊的问题,提出基于双树复小波包变换的机械零件激光超声损伤信号增强方法。采集机械零件激光超声信号,采用自适应策... 机械零件的损伤检测对于保障机械设备的安全稳定运行至关重要。针对因多种因素影响导致机械零件激光超声损伤信号特征模糊的问题,提出基于双树复小波包变换的机械零件激光超声损伤信号增强方法。采集机械零件激光超声信号,采用自适应策略择取恰当的频带和频谱推算激光超声信号能量,通过双树复小波包变换提取激光超声损伤信号特征。根据提取到的信号特征运用可变模态分解得到信号低频段模态函数,利用剩余分量重构方法实现机械零件激光超声损伤信号增强。实验结果表明,所提方法处理后的信号波形不仅很好地抑制了噪声干扰,且最大程度保留了信号中的有用信息,对数谱距离在1.2~1.7之间变化,信源失真率在2.1%~3.1%之间变化,增强后信号峰值信噪比最大值为41.35 dB,波形保真度均值为0.86,信号增强效果好。 展开更多

基于当前火电厂中汽动给水泵普遍采用单预警模型,存在误报、漏报的风险,导致给水泵发生故障,进而严重影响汽水系统安全运行的问题,提出了一种双重故障预警的健康度评价模型。首先,利用斯皮尔曼(Spearman)相关性分析筛选相关的特征参数... 基于当前火电厂中汽动给水泵普遍采用单预警模型,存在误报、漏报的风险,导致给水泵发生故障,进而严重影响汽水系统安全运行的问题,提出了一种双重故障预警的健康度评价模型。首先,利用斯皮尔曼(Spearman)相关性分析筛选相关的特征参数作为输入,并通过双树复小波包变换(DTCWPT)对给水泵振动数据进行降噪处理,以提高输入数据的质量。其次,改进iTransformer模型,构建iTransformer-KAN故障预警模型,对给水泵驱动端轴承温度进行预测。最后,基于朗肯循环确定给水泵的核心故障监测参数,并利用时间动态规整(DTW)映射出期望给水流量与实际出口流量的偏离度。在计算预测残差值和实时偏离度值的基础上,采用核密度估计法(KDE)设定阈值,实现故障预警功能;同时,为便于运行人员做出决策,构建健康指数指标,可直观地展现给水泵的运行状态和机组状态等级的变化。实验结果表明:所提方法在实际数据中表现优异,预测模型的均方根误差为0.13,决定系数为0.997,预警效果优于其他对比模型;DTW监测模型可提前4.58 h提供维护建议,能够有效评估给水泵的运行状态,保障机组安全运行。 展开更多

基于小波包分解法研究充液复杂管道结构损伤程度与损伤指数之间的关系,提出一种针对于充液复杂管道结构的损伤程度识别方法。分别建立相同损伤深度、不同损伤圆心角和不同损伤深度、不同损伤圆心角的充液复杂管道结构模型,研究损伤程度... 基于小波包分解法研究充液复杂管道结构损伤程度与损伤指数之间的关系,提出一种针对于充液复杂管道结构的损伤程度识别方法。分别建立相同损伤深度、不同损伤圆心角和不同损伤深度、不同损伤圆心角的充液复杂管道结构模型,研究损伤程度与损伤指数之间的规律。研究发现,当损伤深度为定量时,以损伤面积为变量的损伤程度与损伤指数间呈非线性相关关系,损伤指数随损伤面积的增加而呈先增后减的趋势;当损伤圆心角为定量时,以损伤深度为变量的损伤程度的增加会使得损伤指数值呈先减后增的趋势。结果表明,基于充液复杂管道结构损伤程度与损伤指数之间的关系,可快速实现损伤程度的识别并对损伤程度的发展趋势进行预判。 展开更多

DTCWPT与TSMAE融合的刀具磨损状态辨识方法

获取高质量的刀具磨损特征信息是识别刀具磨损状态的前提。为克服现有刀具磨损状态辨识方法中特征信息提取不足的问题,提出了一种基于双树复小波包变换(dual-tree complex wavelet packet transform,DTCWPT)、时移多尺度注意熵(time-shi... 获取高质量的刀具磨损特征信息是识别刀具磨损状态的前提。为克服现有刀具磨损状态辨识方法中特征信息提取不足的问题,提出了一种基于双树复小波包变换(dual-tree complex wavelet packet transform,DTCWPT)、时移多尺度注意熵(time-shifted multiscale attention entropy,TSMAE)和随机森林(random forest,RF)的刀具磨损状态辨识方法。利用实测刀具磨损数据集对所提方法的有效性进行了验证,并从信号分解和特征提取两方面与其他磨损辨识技术进行了对比。结果表明,在特征提取阶段,所提方法展现出极高的效率,分别仅需9.41 s和14.91 s即可完成特征提取。在磨损辨识阶段,多次实验的平均辨识精度分别达到了99.33%和100%,充分证明了该方法不仅能够迅速响应,还能准确地辨识刀具的磨损状态。相较其他方法,所提方法在效率和精度上都有明显的优势,在刀具磨损状态辨识领域具有较高的应用潜力。 展开更多

为有效利用双树复小波包变换提取齿轮故障特征信息,提出基于双树复小波包能量泄漏特性分析的故障诊断方法。首先根据高斯白噪声频率充满整个频带的特性,通过双树复小波包变换对高斯白噪声进行分解,利用频带能量泄漏的定量分析方法,验证... 为有效利用双树复小波包变换提取齿轮故障特征信息,提出基于双树复小波包能量泄漏特性分析的故障诊断方法。首先根据高斯白噪声频率充满整个频带的特性,通过双树复小波包变换对高斯白噪声进行分解,利用频带能量泄漏的定量分析方法,验证了双树复小波包变换具有较低的频带能量泄漏特性;其次利用双树复小波包变换逐层分解信号,对每层分解所得分量求其FFT谱的峭度,得到基于双树复小波包变换的谱峭度图,根据图中峭度最大的原则,可以自动准确的选择信号分解最佳层数和最佳分量;最后将基于双树复小波包变换的谱峭度图的故障诊断方法应用于实际工程中,对齿轮故障振动信号进行分析,选择最佳分解层数和分量后利用希尔伯特包络解调,有效准确地提取了故障特征信息,验证了方法的可行性和有效性。该研究可为旋转机械设备中齿轮箱故障诊断的故障特征提取提供参考。 展开更多
