Retinal ganglion cell complex changes using spectral domain optical coherence tomography in diabetic patients without retinopathy 被引量:6

All subjects underwent full me... AIM:To assess the ganglion cell complex(GCC)thickness in diabetic eyes without retinopathy. METHODS:Two groups included 45 diabetic eyes without retinopathy and 21 non diabetic eyes. All subjects underwent full medical and ophthalmological history,full ophthalmological examination,measuring GCC thickness and central foveal thickness(CFT)using the RTVue~? spectral domainoptical coherence tomography(SD-OCT),and HbA1C level.RESULTS:GCC focal loss volume(FLV%)was significantly more in diabetic eyes(22.2% below normal)than normal eyes(P=0.024). No statistically significant difference was found between the diabetic group and the control group regarding GCC global loss volume(GLV%)(P=0.160). CFT was positively correlated to the average,superior and inferior GCC(P=0.001,0.000 and 0.001 respectively)and negatively correlated to GLV% and FLV%(P=0.002 and0.031 respectively)in diabetic eyes. C/D ratio in diabetic eyes was negatively correlated to average,superior and inferior GCC(P=0.015,0.007 and 0.017 respectively). The FLV% was negatively correlated to the refraction and level of Hb A1c(P=0.019 and 0.013 respectively)and positively correlated to the best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)in log MAR in diabetic group(P=0.004).CONCLUSION:Significant GCC thinning in diabetes predates retinal vasculopathy,which is mainly focal rather than diffuse. It has no preference to either the superior or inferior halves of the macula. Increase of myopic error is significantly accompanied with increased focal GCC loss. GCC loss is accompanied with increased C/D ratio in diabetic eyes. 展开更多

Spin photonics revolutionizes photonic technology by enabling precise manipulation of photon spin states,with spindecoupled metasurfaces emerging as pivotal in complex optical field manipulation.Here,we propose a folded-path metasurface concept that enables independent dispersion and phase control of two opposite spin states,effectively overcoming the limitations of spin photonics in achieving broadband decoupling and higher integration levels.This advanced dispersion engineering is achieved by modifying the equivalent length of a folded path,generated by a virtual reflective surface,in contrast to previous methods that depended on effective refractive index control by altering structural geometries.Our approach unlocks previously unattainable capabilities,such as achieving achromatic focusing and achromatic spin Hall effect using the rotational degree of freedom,and generating spatiotemporal vector optical fields with only a single metasurface.This advancement substantially broadens the potential of metasurface-based spin photonics,extending its applications from the spatial domain to the spatiotemporal domain. 展开更多

This article puts forward a novel routing architecture for complex optical network,which core component is path calculation element (PCE).As is well known,the PCE-based distributed path computation structure is making the routing control and computation loosely coupled from traditional control plane.In the study,the resource allocation and routing algorithm are the critical part of PCE hierarchy.To compare the performance of new architecture and the traditional one,the user uses the flooding suppression,routing delay,resource utilization and traffic blocking probability as performance simulation parameters and taking the verification simulation on objective modular network testbed (OMNeT) platform against to source-node routing architecture.The numerical analysis,computer simulation and experiment work indicate that the operation of PCE-based routing architecture can reduce the flooding information of path calculation request as well as the routing hops significantly and improve the quality of service (QoS) by decreasing the blocking probability when failure happened. 展开更多

Four novel mononuclear ruthenium(II) complexes [Ru-(dmb) 2L] 2+ [dmb=4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine, L=imid-azo-[4,5-f]phenanthroline (IP), 2-phenylimidazo-phenanthroline (PIP), 2-(4′-hydroxyphenyl)imidazo-phenanthroline (HOP), 2-(4′-dimethylami- nophenyl)imidazo-phenanthroline (DMNP)] were synthesized and characterized by ES-MS, 1H NMR, UV-vis and electrochemistry. The nonlinear optical properties of the ruthenium(II) complexes were investigated by Z-scan techniques with 12 ns laser pulse at 540 nm, and all of them exhibit both nonlinear optical (NLO) absorption and self-defocusing effect. The corresponding effective NLO susceptibility |χ 3| of the complexes is in the range of 2.68×10 -12-4.57×10 -12 esu. 展开更多
