This study focuses on the complex cubic NLSE with δ-potential,explored through the Brownian process. The investigation begins with the derivation of stochastic solitary wave solutions using the modified exp(-Ψ(ξ)) expansion method. To illustrate the noise effects, 3D and 2D visualizations are displayed for different non-negative values of noise parameter under suitable parameter values. Additionally, qualitative analysis of both perturbed and unperturbed dynamical systems is conducted using bifurcation and chaos theory. In bifurcation analysis, we analyze the detailed parameter analysis near fixed points of the unperturbed system. An external periodic force is applied to perturb the system, leading to an investigation of its chaotic behavior. Chaos detection tools are employed to predict the behavior of the perturbed dynamical system, with results validated through visual representations.Multistability analysis is conducted under varying initial conditions to identify multiple stable states in the perturbed dynamical system, contributing to chaotic behavior. Also, sensitivity analysis of the Hamiltonian system is performed for different initial conditions. The novelty of this work lies in the significance of the obtained results, which have not been previously explored for the considered equation. These findings offer noteworthy insights into the behavior of the complex cubic NLSE with δ-potential and its applications in fields such as nonlinear optics, quantum mechanics and Bose–Einstein condensates.展开更多

Based on static anti-sliding stability analysis of the dam foundation undertaken by decreasing the shear strength parameters of the rock mass in equal proportion, the seismic time history analysis was carried out. The proposed instability criterion for the dynamic strength reduction method was that the peak values of dynamic displacements and plastic strain energy change suddenly with the increase of the strength reduction factor. The elasto-plastic behavior of the dam foundation was idealized using the Drucker-Prager yield criterion based on the associated flow rule assumption. The result of elasto-plastic time history analysis of an overflow dam monolith based on the dynamic strength reduction method was compared with that of the dynamic linear elastic analysis, and the reliability of elasto-plastic time history analysis was confirmed. The results also show that the safety factors of the dam-foundation system in the static and dynamic cases are 3.25 and 3.0, respectively, and that the F2 fault has a significant influence on the anti-sliding stability of the high gravity dam. It is also concluded that the proposed instability criterion for the dynamic strength reduction method is feasible.展开更多

In the present study, a single-point mooring buoy system which contains surface buoy, cable segments with components, anchor and so on is modeled by applying multi-body dynamics method. The motion equations are developed in discrete node description and fully Cartesian coordinates. Then numerical method is used to solve the ordinary differential equations and dynamics simulations are achieved while anchor is casting from board. The trajectories and velocities of different nodes without current and with current in buoy system are obtained. The transient tension force of each part of the cable is analyzed in the process of deployment. Numerical results indicate that the transient payload increases to a peak value when the anchor is touching the seabed and the maximum tension force will vary with different floating configuration. This work is helpful for design and deployment planning of buoy system.展开更多

On the basis of the appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, introducing some free weighting matrices, new synchronization criteria are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Then, an integral sliding surface is designed to guarantee synchronization of master-slave Markovian switching complex dynamical networks, and the suitable controller is synthesized to ensure that the trajectory of the closed-loop error system can be driven onto the prescribed sliding mode surface. By using Dynkin's formula, we established the stochastic stablity of master-slave system. The new type of autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) equipped with rudders and vectored thrusters which are combined to control the course is studied. Firstly, Euler angles representation and quaternion method are applied to establish six-DOF kinematic model respectively, then Newton second law and Lagrangian approach are used to deduce the vectored thruster AUV’s nonlinear dynamic equations with six degrees of freedom (DOF) respectively in complex sea conditions based on the random wave theory according to the structural and kinetic characteristics of the vectored thruster AUV in this paper. The kinematic models and dynamic models based on different theories have the same expression and conclusion, which shows that the kinematic models and dynamic models of the vectored thruster AUV are accurate. The Runge-Kutta arithmetic is used to solve the dynamic equations, which not only can simulate the motions such as cruise and hover but also can describe the vehicle’s low-frequency and high-frequency motion. The results of computation show that the mobility of the vectored thruster AUV in interference-free environment and the integrated signals including low-frequency motion signal and high-frequency motion signal in environmental disturbance accord with practical situation, which not only solve the problem of especial singularities when the pitch angle θ = ±90° but also clears up the difficulties of computation and display of the coupled nonlinear motion equations in complex sea conditions. Moreover, the high maneuverability of the vectored thruster AUV equipped with rudders and vectored thrusters is validated, which lays a foundation for the control system design.展开更多

While traditional tools and linear models offer insights, they fall short in presenting a holistic view of complex urban challenges. System dynamics (SD) models that are often utilized to provide holistic, systematic understanding of a research subject, like the urban system, emerge as valuable tools, but data scarcity and theoretical inadequacy pose challenges. The research reviews relevant papers on recent SD model applications in urban sustainability since 2018, categorizing them based on nine key indicators. Among the reviewed papers, data limitations and model assumptions were identified as ma jor challenges in applying SD models to urban sustainability. This led to exploring the transformative potential of big data analytics, a rare approach in this field as identified by this study, to enhance SD models’ empirical foundation. Integrating big data could provide data-driven calibration, potentially improving predictive accuracy and reducing reliance on simplified assumptions. The paper concludes by advocating for new approaches that reduce assumptions and promote real-time applicable models, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of urban sustainability through the synergy of big data and SD models.展开更多

First, by a common unitary matrix, the problem of synchronization is transformed into the stability analysis of some linear switched delay systems. Then, when all subnetworks are synchronizable, a delay-dependent sufficient condition is given in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which guarantees the solvability of the synchronization problem under an average dwell time scheme. We extend this result to the case that not all subnetworks are synchronizable. It is shown that in addition to average dwell time, if the ratio of the total activation time of synchronizable and non-synchronizable subnetworks satisfy an extra condition, then the problem is also solvable. Two numerical examples of delayed dynamical networks with switching topology are given, which demonstrate the effectiveness of obtained results.展开更多

A dynamical network is said to be robust to disturbance, if the H∞ norm of its transfer function matrix from the disturbance to the performance variable is satisfactorily small. It is shown that the disturbance rejection problem of a dynamical network can be solved by analysing the H∞ control problem of a set of independent systems whose dimensions are equal to that of a single node. A counter-intuitive result is that the disturbance rejection level of the whole network with a diffusive coupling will never be better than that of an isolated node. To improve this, local feedback injections are applied to a small fraction of the nodes in the network. Some criteria for possible performance improvement are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. It is further demonstrated via a simulation example that one can indeed improve the disturbance rejection level of the network by pinning the nodes with higher degrees than pinning those with lower degrees.展开更多

Unlike the other methods, assuming that the dynamics of the network can be described by a linear stochastic model, or using the state variables of nodes in the network to design an adaptive observer, it only uses the output variable of the nodes to design an observer and an adaptive law of topology matrix in the observer of a complex network, leading to simple design of the observer and easy realisation of topology monitoring for the complex networks in real engineering. The proposed scheme can monitor any changes of the topology structure of a time-delay complex network. The effectiveness of this method is successfully demonstrated by virtue of a complex networks with Lorenz model.展开更多

On that account, a dynamic evolving model of complex network with fusion nodes and overlap edges(CNFNOEs) is proposed. Firstly, we define some related concepts of CNFNOEs, and analyze the conversion process of fusion relationship and hierarchy relationship. According to the property difference of various nodes and edges, fusion nodes and overlap edges are subsequently split, and then the CNFNOEs is transformed to interlacing layered complex networks(ILCN). Secondly, the node degree saturation and attraction factors are defined. On that basis, the evolution algorithm and the local world evolution model for ILCN are put forward. Moreover, four typical situations of nodes evolution are discussed, and the degree distribution law during evolution is analyzed by means of the mean field method.Numerical simulation results show that nodes unreached degree saturation follow the exponential distribution with an error of no more than 6%; nodes reached degree saturation follow the distribution of their connection capacities with an error of no more than 3%; network weaving coefficients have a positive correlation with the highest probability of new node and initial number of connected edges. The results have verified the feasibility and effectiveness of the model, which provides a new idea and method for exploring CNFNOE's evolving process and law. Also, the model has good application prospects in structure and dynamics research of transportation network, communication network, social contact network, etc.展开更多

Moreover, the high maneuverability of the vectored thruster AUV equipped with rudders and vectored thrusters is validated, which lays a foundation for the control system design.

文摘This paper addresses urban sustainability challenges amid global urbanization, emphasizing the need for innova tive approaches aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. The paper concludes by advocating for new approaches that reduce assumptions and promote real-time applicable models, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of urban sustainability through the synergy of big data and SD models.

文摘This paper studies local exponential synchronization of complex delayed networks with switching topology via switched system stability theory. Two numerical examples of delayed dynamical networks with switching topology are given, which demonstrate the effectiveness of obtained results.

文摘This paper concerns the disturbance rejection problem of a linear complex dynamical network subject to external disturbances. It is further demonstrated via a simulation example that one can indeed improve the disturbance rejection level of the network by pinning the nodes with higher degrees than pinning those with lower degrees.

文摘This paper proposes a novel approach for fault diagnosis of a time-delay complex dynamical network. The effectiveness of this method is successfully demonstrated by virtue of a complex networks with Lorenz model.

文摘Multiple complex networks, each with different properties and mutually fused, have the problems that the evolving process is time varying and non-equilibrium, network structures are layered and interlacing, and evolving characteristics are difficult to be measured. Also, the model has good application prospects in structure and dynamics research of transportation network, communication network, social contact network, etc.
