A Hybrid Genetic Algorithm is proposed to solve a Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) with complex side constraints. A novel coding method is designed especially for side constraints. A greedy algorithm combined with a random algorithm is introduced to enable the diversity of the initial population, as well as a local optimization algorithm employed to improve the searching efficiency. In order to evaluate the performance, this mechanism has been implemented in an oil distribution center, the experimental and executing results show that the near global optimal solution can be easily and quickly obtained by this method, and the solution is definitely satisfactory in the VRP application.展开更多

In recent years,scholars around the world have shown increasing interest in elastic support structures,leading to significant progress in dynamic modeling techniques for pipeline systems.Although multiple analytical a...In recent years,scholars around the world have shown increasing interest in elastic support structures,leading to significant progress in dynamic modeling techniques for pipeline systems.Although multiple analytical approaches exist,engineers increasingly prioritize computationally efficient,precise low-order models for practical implementation.In order to address this need,this study develops an innovative nonlinear dynamic formulation for pipelines accounting for both foundation and boundary nonlinearities.The proposed solution methodology initiates with global mode extraction using the global mode technique,followed by a detailed implementation procedure.Model validation is conducted through a cantilever pipeline case study featuring nonlinear support conditions,where strong agreement between the proposed model's predictions and finiteelement benchmark solutions demonstrates its reliability.Subsequently,a comprehensive parametric study investigates the combined effects of foundation stiffness,boundary constraints,excitation intensity,and nonlinear interaction terms on the vibrational response of the cantilever pipe.This systematic approach yields critical insights for practical engineering designs and applications.展开更多

The degrees-o...By considering the characteristics of deformation of rotationally periodic structures under rotationally periodic loads, the periodic structure is divided into some identical substructures in this study. The degrees-of-freedom (DOFs) of joint nodes between the neighboring substructures are classified as master and slave ones. The stress and strain conditions of the whole structure are obtained by solving the elastic static equations for only one substructure by introducing the displacement constraints between master and slave DOFs. The complex constraint method is used to get the bifurcation buckling load and mode for the whole rotationally periodic structure by solving the eigenvalue problem for only one substructure without introducing any additional approximation. The finite element (FE) formulation of shell element of relative degrees of freedom (SERDF) in the buckling analysis is derived. Different measures of tackling internal degrees of freedom for different kinds of buckling problems and different stages of numerical analysis are presented. Some numerical examples are given to illustrate the high efficiency and validity of this method.展开更多
