Worldwide research on intercultural communication is the rise of a new field of study in recent 30 years. With the deepening of reform and opening up, China' s exchanges with the world are more and more frequent, China approaches to the world, and the world is also approaching the China. China should learn from the advanced experience of foreign countries, to learn all the outstanding achievements of human civilization all over the world, while the splendid Chinese culture will also be introduced to the world. In this way, it relates to the problem of cross-cultural communication.展开更多

Methods: a total of 88 patients with psychosis admitted to our hospital from February 2020 to February 2021 were randomly divided into a control group (44 cases) and an observation group (44 cases). The control group was given routine nursing care, while the observation group was given language communication and psychological nursing care. The nursing effects of the two groups were compared. Results: the scores of anxiety self-rating scale and depression self-rating scale in the observation group were significantly superior to those in the control group (P < 0.05). The degree of nursing satisfaction in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: language communication and psychological nursing can effectively improve the psychological state of patients and improve the quality of nursing care, which is worthy of promotion.展开更多

The participants involved in this study were 7 beginners learning Mandarin in a Chinese university whose native languages were totally different. Multiple sources of data were collected, including classroom observations, semistructured interviews and stimulated recalls. The results indicate that the students with higher level of WTC were more fluent in L2 Chinese communication, and the student whose native language or second language is Russian performed better in Chinese communication.展开更多

It is manifested in poor understanding of language information, speech barrier, single expression of non-verbal communication, and many bad behaviors during communication, which affect the development of their language ability and communication ability, hinder their effective communication with others, and thus seriously affect their physical and mental health and the development of social adaptability. It is suggested that after a comprehensive assessment of children with intellectual disabilities, they should be trained in language and communication skills using natural situations.展开更多

The problems include overuse and overgeneralization of certain words and expressions, and lack of use of some others. These problems are caused by the deficient exposure to authentic (non-)linguistic setting. The study may provide a further understanding of the communicative method of teaching and learning a different language.展开更多

Introduction In educational theory, as with most things, there exist fashions and trends. Within the field of foreign language teaching the communicative approach is with good reason very fasharable in the west. The name certainly makes it difficult to argue with, who would want to use the ’non-communicative’ approach to teaching a foreign language? The need to communicate in a language is what makes language teaching different from teaching many other subjects. If you study geography, you learn about places, but if you only learn about a language it is not enough.展开更多

Education could be either in English or in regional languages, but children should learn English, because it is seen as the key to the world of opportunities in higher education and employment. The governments need to politically respond to the aspirations of the common masses keeping aside both politicised language policies and theoretical linguistic inputs that encourage one's mother tongue as the ideal medium of instruction. Onerous responsibility lays on men, methods, and materials over which government have the least say, but the practising teachers of English and academics who help bureaucrats in framing language policies in India are solely responsible for non-realization of dreams of the masses. There is something terribly rotten in the state of English-teaching enterprise in India. This paper proposes to examine the present state of affairs in the teaching of English to rural students and to offer constructive alternatives to the existing package of men, materials, and methods.展开更多
