This paper proposes an alternative approach for constructing a knowledge graph (KG) from a PDF document with a focus on simplicity and cost-effectiveness. The process involves splitting the document into chunks, extracting concepts within each chunk using a large language model (LLM), and building relationships based on the proximity of concepts in the same chunk. Unlike traditional named entity recognition (NER), which identifies entities like “Shanghai”, the proposed method identifies concepts, such as “Convenient transportation in Shanghai” which is found to be more meaningful for KG construction. Each edge in the KG represents a relationship between concepts occurring in the same text chunk. The process is computationally inexpensive, leveraging locally set up tools like Mistral 7B openorca instruct and Ollama for model inference, ensuring the entire graph generation process is cost-free. A method of assigning weights to relationships, grouping similar pairs, and summarizing multiple relationships into a single edge with associated weight and relation details is introduced. Additionally, node degrees and communities are calculated for node sizing and coloring. This approach offers a scalable, cost-effective solution for generating meaningful knowledge graphs from large documents, achieving results comparable to GraphRAG while maintaining accessibility for personal machines.展开更多

Traditionally, bariatric surgeries have been categorized into hypoabsorptive, restrictive, or hybrid approaches. However, these classifications inadequately reflect the complex anatomical and physiological alterations associated with modern surgical methodologies. This paper explores the evolution of metabolic surgeries, emphasizing the integration of physiological concepts into classic procedures to provide more tailored and effective treatment options for obesity and its comorbidities. Finally, the proposal for a new classification based on current metabolic concepts will facilitate communication among patients, doctors, and healthcare professionals. Additionally, it will enable a more didactic and standardized approach to data collection for conducting studies and publications.展开更多

Additionally, it will enable a more didactic and standardized approach to data collection for conducting studies and publications.
文摘Objectives:This study aimed to establish the concept of overcoming exhaustion, providing a reference basis for nursing management and conducting related nursing research. Methods:Liehr and Smith’s three-phase,nine-step concept-building process was used to create the concept of overcoming exhaustion. The nine steps were as follows:1)write a practice story;2)name the emerging concept;3)select a theoretical lens;4)link concept to literature;5)gather a concept story;6)identify final core qualities;7)formulate concept definition;8)create a concept model;and 9)specify the concept building synthesis. Results:The concept of overcoming exhaustion was identified based on the elements of a practice story, the life experiences of nurses who struggle with the demands of caring for their patients, their families, and themselves. The theory of self-transcendence was then recognized as the theoretical lens from which to ground the concept. The core qualities, despair and moments of calmness, were derived from the literature and confirmed through a concept story.A definition of the concept integrating the core qualities was formed:overcoming exhaustion involves realizing moments of calmness amidst despair.A model was created to demonstrate the relationship between core qualities, despair, and moments of calmness. Conclusions:The concept of overcoming exhaustion was developed and, through the concept-building process, was defined as realizing moments of calmness amidst despair.By identifying the complexities of overcoming exhaustion, this work lays the foundation for a future research program to develop understanding and interventions that support nurse well-being in the context of ongoing personal and professional demands.

文摘By analyzing the structure and academic characteristics of early Western Han medical texts such as Prescriptions for Fifty-Two Diseases(Wu Shi Er Bing Fang)and Prescriptions for Health Preservation(Yang Sheng Fang),and considering the development of philosophical thinking during the pre-Qin and Han periods, this study summarizes how Zhongjing Zhang’s Treatise on Cold Damage and Miscellaneous Diseases(Shang Han Za Bing Lun)inherited pre-Qin and Han philosophical thought while further integrating Daoist“natural law”cosmology,Confucian“benevolence”social ethics, and the“isomorphic unity of heaven and humanity”medical theory in Yellow Emperor’s Inner Classic(Huang Di Nei Jing). It proposes health preservation concepts encompassing heaven-human,body-spirit,and benevolence perspectives, along with dietary hygiene, representing the medical embodiment of pre-Han“virtue cultivation”and“body nurturing”life philosophies that profoundly influenced subsequent traditional Chinese medicine health preservation theory and practice.

文摘Conventional open-loop deep brain stimulation(DBS)systems with fixed parameters fail to accommodate interindividual pathological differences in Parkinson's disease(PD)management while potentially inducing adverse effects and causing excessive energy consumption. In this paper,we present an adaptive closed-loop framework integrating a Yogi-optimized proportional–integral–derivative neural network(Yogi-PIDNN)controller.The Yogi-augmented gradient adaptation mechanism accelerates the convergence of general PIDNN controllers in high-dimensional nonlinear control systems while reducing control energy usage. In addition,a system identification method establishes input–output dynamics for pre-training stimulation waveforms, bypassing real-time parameter-tuning constraints and thereby enhancing closed-loop adaptability. Finally,a theoretical analysis based on Lyapunov stability criteria establishes a sufficient condition for closed-loop stability within the identified model.Computational validations demonstrate that our approach restores thalamic relay reliability while reducing energy consumption by(81.0±0.7)%across multi-frequency tests. This study advances adaptive neuromodulation by synergizing data-driven pre-training with stability-guaranteed real-time control, offering a novel framework for energy-efficient and personalized Parkinson's therapy.

文摘This paper proposes a separated trajectory tracking controller for fishing ships at sea state level 6 to solve the trajectory tracking problem of a fishing ship in a 6-level sea state, and to adapt to different working environments and safety requirements. The nonlinear feedback method is used to improve the closed-loop gain shaping algorithm.By introducing the sine function, the problem of excessive control energy of the system can be effectively solved. Moreover,an integral separation design is used to solve the influence of the integral term in conventional PID controllers on the transient performance of the system. In this paper,a common 32.98 m large fiberglass reinforced plastic(FRP)trawler is adopted for simulation research at the winds scale of Beaufort No.7.The results show that the track error is smaller than 3.5 m.The method is safe, feasible, concise and effective and has popularization value in the direction of fishing ship trajectory tracking control. This method can be used to improve the level of informatization and intelligence of fishing ships.
