This paper proposes a position and attitude calibration method with error correction based on the combination of the feature point and feature surface. First, the initial value of the spatial position relation-ship between each sensor of MMS is obtained by close-range photogrammetry. Second, the optimal solution for error correction is calculated by feature points in global coordinates jointly measured with International GNSS Service (IGS) stations. Then, the final transformation para-meters are solved by combining the initial values obtained originally, thereby realizing the rapid calibration of the MMS. Finally, it analyzed the RMSE of MMS point cloud after calibration, and the results demonstrate the feasibility of the calibration approach proposed by this method. Under the condition of a single measurement sensor accuracy is low, the plane and elevation absolute accuracy of the point cloud after calibration can reach 0.043 m and 0.072 m, respectively, and the relative accuracy is smaller than 0.02 m. It meets the precision require-ments of data acquisition for MMS. In present experiments, multilayered plates are in-contact four-layered thin steel plates and two types of deformation/failure modes were observed for them. Comparisons concerning deformation/failure modes, strain distributions and energy absorptions between the multilayered plate and its monolithic counterpart were conducted. It is found that the multilayered plate is much superior to its monolithic counterpart in the ability to deform against blast loading. Furthermore, under intense airblast loading, the multilayered plate can not only absorb much more energy but also effectively reduce the secondary destruction ability of structural fragments in comparison with its monolithic counterpart.展开更多

The datum processing method and surveying precision of digital close-range photogrammetric were analyzed. And the function relationship between overburden subsidence factor qr and the ratio z/H of stratum horizon z and mining depth H was researched. The results show that surveying points position mean error along horizontal direction is ±0.131 mm and vertical direction is ±0.192 mm. Therefore, multi-taking station cross direction digital close-range photogrammetric can completely satisfy the precision need of physical simulation experiment. The transparent soil was made of fused quartz and its refractive index matched blended oil, adding reflective particles(glass beads). Closerange photogrammetry was employed to record the images of the process of casing jacking and extraction in transparent soil, allowing the use of Matlab-based Geo-PIV to figure out the displacement field converted from image space to object space. Analysis of test results indicates that the maximum displacement caused by casing jacking for expandedconical-base pile is decreased by 29% compared with that for expanded-flat-base pile. The main movement happens at the early stage of casing extraction. The maximum displacement caused by casing extraction for the conical base is about 43% of that for the flatbase, while the affected zone caused by casing extraction for the conical base accounts for about 1/3 of that for the flat base. The contraction for horizontal displacements tends to decrease with the depth increasing. By contrast, the contraction under pile base decreases with the increasing of displacement. The displacements generated by jacking a conventional pile having a diameter equal to the casing diameter of the expanded-base pile were comparable to the net displacement taking place due to expanded-base pile installation for the conical base pile.展开更多

The principal point is assumed to locate at the image center with zero skew and the same aspect ratio, and the interior parameters are fixed, so the self-calibration becomes focal-length cali- bration. Existing focal length calibration methods are direct solutions of a quadric composed of fundamental matrix, which are sensitive to noise. A quaternion-based linear iterative Least-Square Method is proposed in this paper, and one-dimensional searching for optimal focal length in a constrained region instead of solving optimization problems with inequality constraints is applied to simplify the computation complexity, then unique rotational matrix and translate vector are recovered. Experiments with simulation data and real images are given to verify the algorithm.展开更多

Therefore, at first, any translation and rotation of the photogrammetric model of the object caused by whole geodesic, photographic and photogrammetric procedures in close-range photogrammetry could not be considered. However, it is necessary to analyze all the reasons which cause the deformations of the shape and size and to present their corresponding theories and equations. This situation, of course, is very different from the conventional topophotogrammetry. In this paper some specific characters of limit errors in close-range photogrammetry are presented in detail, including limit errors for calibration of interior elements for close-range cameras, the limit errors of relative and absolute orientations in close-range cameras, the limit errors of relative and absolute orientations in close-range photogrammetric procedures, and the limit errors of control works in close-range photogrammetry. A theoretical equation of calibration accuracy for close-range camerais given. Relating to the three examples in this paper, their theoretical accuracy requirement of interior elements of camera change in the scope of ±(0.005–0.350) mm. This discussion permits us to reduce accuracy requirement in calibration for an object with small relief, but the camera platform is located in violent vibration environment. Another theoretical equation of relative RMS of base lines (m S/S) and the equation RMS of start direction are also presented. It is proved that them S/S could be equal to the relative RMS ofm ΔX/ΔX. It is also proved that the permitting RMS of start direction is much bigger than the traditionally used one. Some useful equations of limit errors in close-range photogrammetry are presented as well. Suggestions mentioned above are perhaps beneficial for increasing efficiency, for reducing production cost.展开更多

Therefore, geological logging of exploratory tunnels has always been taking the method of manual sketch work which has low efficiency and poor informatization degree of products, and it is a technical issue requiring urgent settlement for geological logging of small tunnels. This paper proposes and studies novel methods of photographic geological logging suitable for small tunnels, including image acquisition, image orientation control, image geometric correction, unfolded image map generation and geological attitude measurement, etc. Experiments show that the method can meet the precision requirement of geological logging. The novel method helps to realize the fast acquisition and processing of image-based geological logging data for small tunnels, and the forms of logging result are more abundant and more applicable to informatized management and application of geological logging data.展开更多

The application of code marker helps to improve the level of automatic matching and the matching accuracy. This paper inyestigates the application of inertia ellipse algorithm to code marker matching. We can calculate the inertia ellipse of a target with a certain boundary. First, the method is applied to a single code marker; the angle and scaling are valid. Then, the paper introduces the multi code markers matching method by the inertia ellipse. Rotation and scaling changes of homonymy images can be calculated by inertia ellipse algorithm. These parameters can be used for code marker matching in arbitrary attitude close-range photogrammetry.展开更多

Furthermore, under intense airblast loading, the multilayered plate can not only absorb much more energy but also effectively reduce the secondary destruction ability of structural fragments in comparison with its monolithic counterpart.

文摘In order to research the possibility of digital close-range photogrammetric surveying in small scale physical simulation experiment, physical model coinciding with engineering practice was constructed based on similar theory. And the empirical formula can be utilized to represent evolution law of stratum subsidence factor.
文摘The wearing course conditions strongly affect road pavements quality in terms of traffic safety and overall functionality.Surface texture can be considered a very strategic aspect to assess road pavement status,in order to predict its degradation and to define an effective maintenance program.Nowadays, common texture assessment approaches are mainly empirical and based on in-situ and/or laboratory direct measurements, thus the quantity and quality of the obtainable information are limited. On the other hand, advanced contactless techniques require expensive and often complicated equipment that can be hardly used in common applications. In this regard,a low budget close-range photogrammetry technique for road pavements 3D surface texture analysis is here proposed.14 areal texture parameters including depth, volume, distribution and feature indicators have been determined by analysing the 3D models. The outcomes have been compared with those found with the traditional volumetric patch and pendulum tests, and a complete pairwise correlation matrix has been obtained.Volume patch test exhibits a high relationship with different volume and height surface texture parameters, while lowcorrelations have been found comparing pendulum test with the intrinsic and statistical indicators. The results and their relationships have been commented in-depth along with proposed further research activities.

文摘Close-range sensing has yet to attain the status of being a dependable source for in situ forest information as the conventional field inventory. Each solution has its advantages and disadvantages in terms of accuracy, completeness, and efficiency. For a forest area,Terrestrial Laser Scanning(TLS)has the highest data quality, but is limited to static perspectives and lack the efficiency.Mobile Mapping Systems(MMS)systems gain on the efficiency but compromise the data quality.More recently,under-canopy UAV caught attentions for its potential to leverage the advantages of both TLS and MMS systems. This study demonstrates the feasibility of autonomous forest in situ investigation using an autonomous under-canopy UAV Laser Scanning(ULS)system, and evaluates the performance of such system in deriving key forest and tree attributes through a comparison with other close-range sensing systems such as the TLS and the Personal Laser Scanning(PLS).The under-canopy ULS system uses an onboard LiDAR sensor to aid its self-traverse in an unknown forest environment and to collect point cloud data during its movement inside the forest.Key factors influencing the systems’overall performance were investigated via various experiments. The point cloud data collected by the under canopy autonomous ULS system deliver similar stem capturing capacity as TLS in single layer forest stands with less undergrowth. The RMSEs of the DBH estimates were 0.81 cm(3.80%),4.12cm(19.92%),and 5.13cm(22.01%),respectively.The RMSEs of the stem curve estimates were 1.27 cm(5.48%),3.97 cm(17.63%),and 5.18 cm(22.49%),respectively.The geometric accuracy and the completeness of the point cloud significantly improved when the trajectory was densified.More studies on autonomous route planning in complex unknown forest is required to improve the system mobility, data quality, and the applicability of such systems in future practical forest in situ observations.

文摘This study analyzes the function of different muscles during arm wrestling and proposes a method to analyze the optimal forearm angle for professional arm wrestlers. We built a professional arm-wrestling platform to measure the shape and deformation of the skin at the biceps brachii of a volunteer in vivo during arm wrestling. We observed the banding phenomenon of arm skin strain during muscle contraction and developed a model to evaluate the moment provided by the biceps brachii.According to this model, the strain field of the area of interest on the skin was measured, and the forearm angles most favorable and unfavorable to the work of the biceps brachii were analyzed. This study demonstrates the considerable potential of applying DIC and its extension method to the in vivo measurement of human skin and facilitates the use of the in vivo measurement of skin deformation in various sports in the future.

文摘A new small-scale geotechnical physical model in 1-g and unconfined condition, combining the transparent soil, close-range photogrammetry and particle image velocimetry(PIV), was employed, which provides a non-intrusively internal deformation measurement approach to monitor the internal deformation of soil caused by expanded-base pile jacking with casing. The displacements generated by jacking a conventional pile having a diameter equal to the casing diameter of the expanded-base pile were comparable to the net displacement taking place due to expanded-base pile installation for the conical base pile.

文摘Forest is one of the most challenging environments to be recorded in a three-dimensional(3D)digitized geometrical representation, because of the size and the complexity of the environment and the data-acquisition constraints brought by on-site conditions.Previous studies have indicated that the data-acquisition pattern can have more influence on the registration results than other factors. In practice, the ideal short-baseline observations,i.e.,the dense collection mode,is rarely feasible, considering the low accessibility in forest environments and the commonly limited labor and time resources. The wide-baseline observations that cover a forest site using a few folds less observations than short-baseline observations, are therefore more preferable and commonly applied.Nevertheless, the wide-baseline approach is more challenging for data registration since it typically lacks the required sufficient overlaps between datasets.Until now,a robust automated registration solution that is independent of special hardware requirements has still been missing. That is,the registration accuracy is still far from the required level, and the information extractable from the merged point cloud using automated registration could not match that from the merged point cloud using manual registration. This paper proposes a discrete overlap search(DOS)method to find correspondences in the point clouds to solve the low-overlap problem in the wide-baseline point clouds. The proposed automatic method uses potential correspondences from both original data and selected feature points to reconstruct rough observation geometries without external knowledge and to retrieve precise registration parameters at data-level.An extensive experiment was carried out with 24 forest datasets of different conditions categorized in three difficulty levels. The performance of the proposed method was evaluated using various accuracy criteria,as well as based on data acquired from different hardware, platforms, viewing perspectives, and at different points of time. The proposed method achieved a 3D registration accuracy at a 0.50-cm level in all difficulty categories using static terrestrial acquisitions. In the terrestrial-aerial registration, data sets were collected from different sensors and at different points of time with scene changes, and a registration accuracy at the raw data geometric accuracy level was achieved. These results represent the highest automated registration accuracy and the strictest evaluation so far.The proposed method is applicable in multiple scenarios, such as 1)the global positioning of individual under-canopy observations, which is one of the main challenges in applying terrestrial observations lacking a global context,2)the fusion of point clouds acquired from terrestrial and aerial perspectives, which is required in order to achieve a complete forest observation,3)mobile mapping using a new stop-and-go approach, which solves the problems of lacking mobility and slow data collection in static terrestrial measurements as well as the data-quality issue in the continuous mobile approach.Furthermore, this work proposes a new error estimate that units all parameter-level errors into a single quantity and compensates for the downsides of the widely used parameter-and object-level error estimates;it also proposes a new deterministic point sets registration method as an alternative to the popular sampling methods.
文摘This paper presents a practical iterative algorithm for two-view metric reconstruction without any prior knowledge about the scene and motion in a nonsingular geometry configuration. Experiments with simulation data and real images are given to verify the algorithm.

文摘A web camera based multi-camera convergent close-range photogrammetric system is developed to obtain the neonates' head and facial morphology. The data will then be used to develop a secure and good-fitting eye-patch protector for neonates, particularly whoa they are exposed to bright lights such as phototherapy light. Measurements obtained by the system are evaluated and validated against data obtained from optical scanning. Results show that the photogrammetric system meets the requirements of measuring accuracy and safety for neonate in the neonatal units.
文摘Close-range photogrammetry is to determine the shape and size of the object, instead of it's absolute position. Suggestions mentioned above are perhaps beneficial for increasing efficiency, for reducing production cost.

文摘Small tunnels such as engineering geological exploratory tunnels and mine roadways are generally narrow, which make the existing photographic geological logging technique inapplicable. The novel method helps to realize the fast acquisition and processing of image-based geological logging data for small tunnels, and the forms of logging result are more abundant and more applicable to informatized management and application of geological logging data.

文摘In close-range photogrammetry, 3D information acquisition is based on image matching. These parameters can be used for code marker matching in arbitrary attitude close-range photogrammetry.

文摘In the new tunnel under close distance through the existing tunnel risk source, the grouting scheme developed to compensate for stratum losses is still based on empirical methods, relying on the overburden thickness of existing tunnels. This can potentially lead to an excessively high or low probability of uplift of existing tunnels.Proposing a coupled deformation analysis method between the grouting construction and adjacent existing tunnels is of great theoretical significance for developing grouting schemes. In order to reasonably limit the design parameters of grouting construction, based on the theory of fluid–solid coupling elastic pore-column expansion and the theory of random media, the calculation method of stratum displacement which simultaneously considers the coexistence of grout compaction expansion and permeability diffusion mode is derived, and the accuracy of the calculation method is verified by engineering examples. The accuracy of this calculation method was verified through engineering examples.Combined with the deformation coordination condition, the existing tunnel is regarded as an elastic Euler-Bernoulli continuous beam, and the finite element coupling balance equation of the interaction between the existing tunnel and the surrounding soil is obtained.Based on this,a coupling calculation model of the grouting construction and the deformation response of the adjacent existing tunnel is established.Combined with three times of grouting construction examples in the shield tunneling project of Beijing Metro Line 12 under the existing airport line, the reliability of the coupling calculation model to determine the grouting construction parameters is verified. The calculation parameters in the coupling calculation model have clear physical meanings, which can provide a theoretical basis for the grouting design of similar risk source projects.
