Conventional process flow and main work mechanism of alkaline cleaning process of Continual Annealing Line are generally reviewed in the paper,and the work flow of design is analysed including the lye,rinse water circuit,conductivity detection circuit,utility media supply circuit and other main working circuits.Meanwhile,the heat demand of the alkaline cleaning system,rinse water system and dryer device are also analysed.Lumped parameter method in the heat-transfer theory is adopted to calculate the heating time of unsteady heat transfer for strips in the on-line tank.And the reasons why brush roller is of inverse brush and rinsing nozzles are equipped at the inlet side are found.Types and working principles of iron removal and degreasing devices for alkaline cleaning system,which adopt new magnetic filtration and ultra filtration processes,are described.Besides,the bypass filtering method is used to calculate the processing capacity of magnetic filtration and ultra filtration devices.Finally,the related features of 3-Dimension software "PlantSpace" for designing a CAL in Baosteel are totally introduced,such as specification for piping,co-designing,pipe code and 3-Dimension design process. 展开更多

This cleaning system with double channel compared with the traditional air-sieve cleaning system of combines may omit one two sieves and simplify the transmission mechanism. It is also compared with the present cleaning system with double channel applied to some combines, such as the Commandor 112CS/ 228CS combines of Claas Corporation in Germany and the MAXIMIZERTMombincs of John Deerc company in U.S.A. It may omit one sieve and the preclcaner and simlify the transmission mechanism. The measuring results indicated that the cleaning ratio of wheat grain is 99.1% and the cleaning loss ratio of wheat is 0.17% when the feed rate is 4.01 kg/ s. 展开更多

Low-Cost Automated PV Panel Dust Cleaning System for Rural Communities

Dust accumulation on photovoltaic (PV) panels degrades PV panels’ performance;leading to decreased power output and consequently high cost per generated kilowatt. Research addressing the severity of dust accumulation on PV panels has been ongoing since the 1940s, but proposed solutions have tended to increase the cost of PV systems either from oversizing or from cleaning the system. The objective of this work, therefore, is to design and implement a low-cost affordable automated PV panel dust cleaning system for use in rural communities of Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA);where financial resources are limited and significantly strained in meeting livelihood activities. Complete design and implementation details of a prototype system are provided for easy replication and capitalization on PV systems for sustainable energy needs. The system detects dust based on the innovative use of light-dependent resistors. Testing and observation of the system in operational mode reveal satisfactory performance;measured parameters quantify a power output increase of 33.76% as a result of cleaning dust off the PV panel used in the study. 展开更多

Existing rape combine harvester with a cyclone separation cleaning device has the challenge that the loss rate and the cleaning rate increase and decrease simultaneously.A cleaning process route was proposed,which involves the cyclone separation cleaning device removing light and tiny impurities,and the cylinder sieve device removing coarse and long impurities such as pod shells and short stems.A novel cleaning system combining the cyclone separation cleaning device and cylinder sieve cleaning devices was designed.The ranges of the structure and operation parameters for each component were analyzed based on kinematics and dynamic analysis.A four-factor five-level quadratic orthogonal test was carried out,in which the loss rate and cleaning rate were taken as the evaluation indexes.The velocity at the suction port,the rotation speed of the cylinder sieve,the screw pitch of the spiral blade and the diameter of the sieve hole were taken as the influencing factors.The orthogonal test results showed that the cleaning system performed best at a rotation speed of the winnower is 600 r/min,an airflow velocity at the suction port is 18.25 m/s,a rotation speed of the cylinder sieve is 87 r/min,a screw pitch of the spiral blade is 440 mm and a diameter of the sieve hole is 4.48 mm.At this time,the loss rate of the cleaning system is 3.22%,and the cleaning rate is 95.67%.Compared to the conventional cyclone separation cleaning device,the loss rate is reduced by 2.17%and the cleaning rate is increased by 1.05%.This study can provide a reference for the optimal cleaning system design for rape combine harvesters. 展开更多

Web information system(WIS)is frequently-used and indispensable in daily social life.WIS provides information services in many scenarios,such as electronic commerce,communities,and edutainment.Data cleaning plays an essential role in various WIS scenarios to improve the quality of data service.In this paper,we present a review of the state-of-the-art methods for data cleaning in WIS.According to the characteristics of data cleaning,we extract the critical elements of WIS,such as interactive objects,application scenarios,and core technology,to classify the existing works.Then,after elaborating and analyzing each category,we summarize the descriptions and challenges of data cleaning methods with sub-elements such as data&user interaction,data quality rule,model,crowdsourcing,and privacy preservation.Finally,we analyze various types of problems and provide suggestions for future research on data cleaning in WIS from the technology and interactive perspective. 展开更多

To discuss and analyze the root and the essence of the above contradiction and find a way to bring about harmony between them is an important program faced by our national heritage management practice and academic re- search. Based on the case of cleaning the Temple and Cemetery of Confucius and the Kong Family Mansion in Qufu, this paper ana- lyzes the reasons why our national world cultural heritage sites bring about the above contradiction in the process of tourism development and points out that the improper system and stake- holders’ benefit imbroglio are respectively the root and the es- sence of the contraction. The important advantag... In this paper, we propose a rule management system for data cleaning that is based on knowledge. This system combines features of both rule based systems and rule based data cleaning frameworks. The important advantages of our system are threefold. First, it aims at proposing a strong and unified rule form based on first order structure that permits the representation and management of all the types of rules and their quality via some characteristics. Second, it leads to increase the quality of rules which conditions the quality of data cleaning. Third, it uses an appropriate knowledge acquisition process, which is the weakest task in the current rule and knowledge based systems. As several research works have shown that data cleaning is rather driven by domain knowledge than by data, we have identified and analyzed the properties that distinguish knowledge and rules from data for better determining the most components of the proposed system. In order to illustrate our system, we also present a first experiment with a case study at health sector where we demonstrate how the system is useful for the improvement of data quality. The autonomy, extensibility and platform-independency of the proposed rule management system facilitate its incorporation in any system that is interested in data quality management. 展开更多

At present,the aeration-assisted cutting-carrying technology is faced with complexities in the drilling of CBM multi-branch horizontal wells.For example,the aerating pressure is hardly maintained,and the borehole instability may happen.In view of these prominent problems,the technology of double casing tubes&a binary cycle system suitable for CBM multi-branch horizontal wells was developed according to the Venturi principle by means of parasitic tube insufflation which is used for well control simulation system.Then,a multiphase flow finite element model was established for the fluid-cutting particle system in this drilling condition.This technology was tested in field.Double-casing tubes cementing is adopted in this technology and a jet generator is installed at the bottom of the inner casing.In the process of drilling,the drilling fluid injected through double intermediate casing annulus is converted by the jet generator into a high-efficiency steering water jet,which,together with the water jet generated by the bit nozzle,increases the fluid returning rate in the inner annulus space.It is indicated from simulation results that the cutting-carrying effect is the best when the included angle between the nozzle of the jet generator and the vertical direction is 30°.Besides,the influential laws of cutting size,primary cycle volume,accessory cycle volume and drilling velocity on hole cleaning are figured out.It is concluded that this technology increases the flow rate of drilling fluid in annulus space,the returning rate of drilling fluid significantly and the cutting-carrying capacity.It is currently one of the effective hole cleaning technologies for CBM multi-branch horizontal wells where fresh water is taken as the drilling fluid. 展开更多

As the problem of surface garbage pollution becomes more serious,it is necessary to improve the efficiency of garbage inspection and picking rather than traditional manual methods.Due to lightness,Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)can traverse the entire water surface in a short time through their flight field of view.In addition,Unmanned Surface Vessels(USVs)can provide battery replacement and pick up garbage.In this paper,we innovatively establish a system framework for the collaboration between UAV and USVs,and develop an automatic water cleaning strategy.First,on the basis of the partition principle,we propose a collaborative coverage path algorithm based on UAV off-site takeoff and landing to achieve global inspection.Second,we design a task scheduling and assignment algorithm for USVs to balance the garbage loads based on the particle swarm optimization algorithm.Finally,based on the swarm intelligence algorithm,we also design an autonomous obstacle avoidance path planning algorithm for USVs to realize autonomous navigation and collaborative cleaning.The system can simultaneously perform inspection and clearance tasks under certain constraints.The simulation results show that the proposed algorithms have higher generality and flexibility while effectively improving computational efficiency and reducing actual cleaning costs compared with other schemes. 展开更多

This study investigates the optimization of Jameson Cell performance at the Kamoa-Kakula concentrator through dilution cleaning tests.The experiments aimed to evaluate the effects of frothers(Hydrofroth 5008 and Flotanol)and a collector-frother combination(Sodium Isobutyl Xanthate with Senfroth 522)on flotation efficiency.Bench-scale flotation tests were carried out on feed samples from Jameson Cells N˚1 and N˚2 under controlled laboratory conditions,with systematic dilution cleaning across three stages.Results showed that Hydrofroth 5008 moderately increased copper recovery but at the expense of concentrate grade due to enhanced gangue entrainment.Conversely,Flotanol significantly improved both grade and recovery at optimized dosages,although excessive addition decreased selectivity.The combined use of Sodium Isobutyl Xanthate and Senfroth 522 yielded the most notable improvements,achieving copper recoveries above 95%with concentrate grades up to 65%Cu,while reducing copper losses in tailings.These findings highlight the importance of reagent selection and dosage control in balancing recovery and concentrate quality,ultimately providing insights for optimizing Jameson Cell operations in large-scale copper concentrators. 展开更多

Scrap metals are typically covered with surface contaminants,such as paint,dust,and rust,which can significantly affect the emission spectrum during laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS)based sorting.In this study,the effects of paint layers on metal surfaces during LIBS classification were investigated.LIBS spectra were collected from metal surfaces painted with black and white paints by ablation with a nanosecond pulsed laser(wavelength=1064 nm,pulse width=7 ns).For the black-painted samples,the LIBS spectra showed a broad background emission,emission lines unrelated to the target metals,large shot-to-shot variation,and a relatively low signal intensity of the target metal,causing poor classification accuracy even at high shot numbers.Cleaning the black paint layer by ablating over a wide area prior to LIBS analysis resulted in high classification accuracy with fewer shot numbers.A method to determine the number of cleaning shots necessary to obtain high classification accuracy and high throughput is proposed on the basis of the change in LIBS signal intensity during cleaning shots.For the white-painted samples,the paint peeled off the metal surface after the first shot,and strong LIBS signals were measured after the following shot,which were attributed to the nanoparticles generated by the ablation of the paint,allowing an accurate classification after only two shots.The results demonstrate that different approaches must be employed depending on the paint color to achieve high classification accuracy with fewer shot numbers. 展开更多

Filler cleaning is a challenge that affects the efficient separation of FCCS particles by electrostatic methods and limits the utilization of the oil slurry.Two filler cleaning methods are proposed in this paper,the flushing desorption method and the electrostatic desorption method,where desorption is achieved by respectively applying a flow field or an electric field to the fillers immersed in a cleaning solution(ethyl acetate).Also,the“rough particle-smooth plane”contact model between particles and filler was established,and the particle force model was established by analyzing the movement of particles in the process of cleaning.Furthermore,combining the established contact model and force model,the detachment model of particles was proposed.In this model,the dimensionless numberλis used to discriminate the attachment state of particles whose validity was verified by experiments.The experimental results showed that the cleaning efficiency of flushing desorption method and electrostatic desorption method increase with the increase of flow rate and voltage,which reached 50.5%and 61.4%at 0.1 m/s and 14 kV. 展开更多

Integrated-energy systems(IESs)are key to advancing renewable-energy utilization and addressing environmental challenges.Key components of IESs include low-carbon,economic dispatch and demand response,for maximizing renewable-energy consumption and supporting sustainable-energy systems.User participation is central to demand response;however,many users are not inclined to engage actively;therefore,the full potential of demand response remains unrealized.User satisfaction must be prioritized in demand-response assessments.This study proposed a two-stage,capacity-optimization configuration method for user-level energy systems con-sidering thermal inertia and user satisfaction.This method addresses load coordination and complementary issues within the IES and seeks to minimize the annual,total cost for determining equipment capacity configurations while introducing models for system thermal inertia and user satisfaction.Indoor heating is adjusted,for optimizing device output and load profiles,with a focus on typical,daily,economic,and environmental objectives.The studyfindings indicate that the system thermal inertia optimizes energy-system scheduling considering user satisfaction.This optimization mitigates environmental concerns and enhances clean-energy integration. 展开更多

Photocatalytic water splitting is a promising way to produce H_(2),a green and clean energy source.However,efficient H_(2) production typically relies on the addition of electron donors,such as alcohols and acids,which are neither environmentally friendly nor cost-effective.Recently,we have witnessed a surge of studies in coupling photocatalytic H_(2) evolution with organic pollutant oxidation,which significantly promotes charge separation and improves the overall photocatalytic efficiency.It is thus an opportune time to critically assess the recent literature concerning dual-functional photocatalytic systems and provide perspectives for its future development.In this minireview,we begin with the working principles and requirements for synergistic photocatalytic systems.We then summarize and critically discuss the recent advances in photocatalytic H_(2) production and the degradation of various organic pollutants,including antibiotics,dyes,and phenols.Finally,we discuss the current challenges and suggest future directions for this field. 展开更多

Peroxodiphosphate anion (a powerful oxidant) can be formed in a special water-based cleaning agent through an electrochemical reaction on boron-doped diamond electrodes. This electrochemical reaction was applied during the oxidation,decomposition, and removal of organic contaminations on a silicon wafer surface, and it was used as the first step in the diamond electrochemical cleaning technique (DECT). The cleaning effects of DECT were compared with the RCA cleaning technique, including the silicon surface chemical composition that was observed with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and the morphology observed with atomic force microscopy. The measurement results show that the silicon surface cleaned by DECT has slightly less organic residue and lower micro-roughness,so the new technique is more effective than the RCA cleaning technique. 展开更多
