This article explores the potential ways to enhance effective EFL teaching in EFL classroom. The author considered that elements such as teacher's understandings of classroom structures, the differences in classroom norms and creation of positive climate could contribute to the overall EFL classroom effectiveness. By referencing contemporary EFL teaching theories, the author attempted to touch on the implications to the contemporary Chinese EFL education. With the continuous improvement of living standards, peoples attention has shifted from material life to spiritual life, and more attention has been paid to childrens education. As the most basic subject in linguistics, Chinese runs through the students listening, speaking, reading and writing in life. Good Chinese literacy ability can reflect the students own learning ability. Of course, this also puts pressure on teachers teaching. Therefore, teachers should improve the quality of teaching and strive to improve the effectiveness of Chinese teaching.
