In this study we review the occurrence of different types (A, B, C, M, and X classes) of solar flares during different solar cycle phases from 1996 to 2019 covering the solar cycles 23 and 24. During this period, a to...In this study we review the occurrence of different types (A, B, C, M, and X classes) of solar flares during different solar cycle phases from 1996 to 2019 covering the solar cycles 23 and 24. During this period, a total of 19,126 solar flares were observed regardless the class: 3548 flares in solar cycle 23 (SC23) and 15,668 flares in solar cycle 24 (SC24). Our findings show that the cycle 23 has observed the highest occurrences of M-class and X-class flares, whereas cycle 24 has pointed out a predominance of B-class and C-class flares throughout its different phases. The results indicate that the cycle 23 was magnetically more intense than cycle 24, leading to more powerful solar flares and more frequent geomagnetic storms, capable of generating significant electromagnetic emissions that can affect satellites and GPS signals. The decrease in intense solar flares during cycle 24 compared to cycle 23 reflects an evolution in solar activity patterns over time.展开更多

They are generally related to the specification of aggregates for alkali reactivity and the choice of exposure classes specified in NF EN 206-1. The purpose of this article is to study the incidence of non-compliance with exposure classes in reinforced concrete structures. To carry out this study, surveys were carried out at several sites (districts) in Dakar (Cité Avion, Touba Ouakam, Cité Asecna, Cité Batrain, Cité Comico, Cité Assemblée and Terme Sud) in order to collect information on the formulation and implementation methods used. However, previous foxtail millet hybrid cultivars have been largely developed from crosses between sterile lines and conventional varieties or between sterile lines and varieties that are geographically distent from the sterile lines. The research on classification of heterotic classes and determinetaion of heterotic patterns has not been reported, which results in uncertainty in selection of parents for crosses and delays progress in utilization of high yielding hybrids in large-scale commercial production. In this study, a core collection of 128 accessions from China was grouped into six classes using combined analyses of population structure, pedigree, and clustering. The classification was conducted based mainly on molecular clustering of genotypic data, also considered the population structure and mathematical clustering using phenotypic data, and was finally validated through pedigree analysis. According to the transgressive and superstandard heterosis for grain yield, plant height, panicle length, panicle diameter, single panicle weight, grain weight per panicle, and 1000-grain weight collected from an incomplete-diallel-cross experiment, we identified six superior heterosis patterns (C2/C1, C2/C4, C2/C5, C2/C6, C1/C5 and C4/C5) and four inferior heterosis patterns (C1/C3, C1/C4, C1/C6 and C4/C6), and explored their potential applications in millet hybrid breeding. This study laid a foundation for effective use of foxtail millet heterosis in improving millet hybrid yield.展开更多

As forests in neotropical regions,particularly in developing countries,are devastated,interventions to restore biodiversity and its ecological functions are needed.Rural producers have thus been encouraged to grow tre...As forests in neotropical regions,particularly in developing countries,are devastated,interventions to restore biodiversity and its ecological functions are needed.Rural producers have thus been encouraged to grow trees for wood production as an economic activity.The objective of this study was to quantify the increment of wood density of four forest species from different successional classes of a mixed system of restoration in a neotropical forest in Brazil.Tree discs were sampled at breast height and analyzed radially by X-ray densitometry to obtain apparent density and basic density.Three trees each of a species from the pioneer,early and late secondary successional stages and of the dominant species in the climax community.The radial profiles indicated increasing density from the pith to bark of trunks,except for some variations due to wood defects and growth.Average density was 0.576 g cm^(-3),0.655 g cm^(-3),0.706 g cm^(-3)and 0.775 g cm^(-3),respectively,for Peltophorum dubium,Schinus terebinthifolius,Cariniana estrellensis and Hymenaea courbaril.Radial profiles indicated higher amplitudes in the apparent densities for slow-growing species.X-ray densitometry generated parameters such as minimum,average and maximum densities,and radial density variations.These parameters are important for understanding the ecological functional role of successional classes of the Atlantic Forest from the Neotropical region.展开更多

Jackknife test shows that total prediction accuracy is 96.6% and higher than that given by other approaches. Besides, the specificity （Sp） and the Matthew＇s correlation coefficient （MCC） are also calculated for each protein structural class, the Sp is more than 88%, the MCC is higher than 92%, and the higher MCC and Sp imply that it is credible to use ID-SVM model predicting protein structural class. The results indicate that： 1 the choice of the source of diversity is reasonable, 2 the predictive performance of IDSVM is excellent, and3 the amino acid sequences of proteins contain information of protein structural classes.展开更多

All the systems under consideration are characterized by the dependence ofnonconservative fqrces on the first integrals of the corresponding conservative systems and arc catted generalized-energy-dependent f G.E.D.) systems. It is shown taht for each of the four classes of G.E.D. nonlinear stochastic systems there is a family of non-G.E.D. systems which are equivalent to the G.E.D. system in the sense of having identical stationary solution. The way to find the equivalent stochastic systems for a given G.E.D. system is indicated and. as an example, the equivalent stochastic systems for the second order G.E. D. nonlinear stochastic system are given. 文摘As forests in neotropical regions,particularly in developing countries,are devastated,interventions to restore biodiversity and its ecological functions are needed.Rural producers have thus been encouraged to grow trees for wood production as an economic activity.The objective of this study was to quantify the increment of wood density of four forest species from different successional classes of a mixed system of restoration in a neotropical forest in Brazil.Tree discs were sampled at breast height and analyzed radially by X-ray densitometry to obtain apparent density and basic density.Three trees each of a species from the pioneer,early and late secondary successional stages and of the dominant species in the climax community.The radial profiles indicated increasing density from the pith to bark of trunks,except for some variations due to wood defects and growth.Average density was 0.576 g cm^(-3),0.655 g cm^(-3),0.706 g cm^(-3)and 0.775 g cm^(-3),respectively,for Peltophorum dubium,Schinus terebinthifolius,Cariniana estrellensis and Hymenaea courbaril.Radial profiles indicated higher amplitudes in the apparent densities for slow-growing species.X-ray densitometry generated parameters such as minimum,average and maximum densities,and radial density variations.These parameters are important for understanding the ecological functional role of successional classes of the Atlantic Forest from the Neotropical region.

文摘Based on the concept of the pseudo amino acid composition （PseAAC）, protein structural classes are predicted by using an approach of increment of diversity combined with support vector machine （ID-SVM）, in which the dipeptide amino acid composition of proteins is used as the source of diversity. Jackknife test shows that total prediction accuracy is 96.6% and higher than that given by other approaches. Besides, the specificity （Sp） and the Matthew＇s correlation coefficient （MCC） are also calculated for each protein structural class, the Sp is more than 88%, the MCC is higher than 92%, and the higher MCC and Sp imply that it is credible to use ID-SVM model predicting protein structural class. The results indicate that： 1 the choice of the source of diversity is reasonable, 2 the predictive performance of IDSVM is excellent, and3 the amino acid sequences of proteins contain information of protein structural classes.

文摘The exact solutions for stationary responses of one class of the second order and three classes of higher order nonlinear systems to parametric and/or external while noise excitations are constructed by using Fokkcr-Planck-Kolmogorov et/ualion approach. The conditions for the existence and uniqueness and the behavior of the solutions are discussed. All the systems under consideration are characterized by the dependence ofnonconservative fqrces on the first integrals of the corresponding conservative systems and arc catted generalized-energy-dependent f G.E.D.) systems. It is shown taht for each of the four classes of G.E.D. nonlinear stochastic systems there is a family of non-G.E.D. systems which are equivalent to the G.E.D. system in the sense of having identical stationary solution. The way to find the equivalent stochastic systems for a given G.E.D. system is indicated and. as an example, the equivalent stochastic systems for the second order G.E. D. nonlinear stochastic system are given. It is pointed out and illustrated with example that the exact stationary solutions for many non-G.E.D. nonlinear stochastic systems may he found by searching the equivalent G.E.D. systems.
