Accurate time delay estimation of target echo signals is a critical component of underwater target localization.In active sonar systems,echo signal processing is vulnerable to the effects of reverberation and noise in...Accurate time delay estimation of target echo signals is a critical component of underwater target localization.In active sonar systems,echo signal processing is vulnerable to the effects of reverberation and noise in the maritime environment.This paper proposes a novel method for estimating target time delay using multi-bright spot echoes,assuming the target’s size and depth are known.Aiming to effectively enhance the extraction of geometric features from the target echoes and mitigate the impact of reverberation and noise,the proposed approach employs the fractional order Fourier transform-frequency sliced wavelet transform to extract multi-bright spot echoes.Using the highlighting model theory and the target size information,an observation matrix is constructed to represent multi-angle incident signals and obtain the theoretical scattered echo signals from different angles.Aiming to accurately estimate the target’s time delay,waveform similarity coefficients and mean square error values between the theoretical return signals and received signals are computed across various incident angles and time delays.Simulation results show that,compared to the conventional matched filter,the proposed algorithm reduces the relative error by 65.9%-91.5%at a signal-to noise ratio of-25 dB,and by 66.7%-88.9%at a signal-to-reverberation ratio of−10 dB.This algorithm provides a new approach for the precise localization of submerged targets in shallow water environments.展开更多

However, in many actual circumstances, this assumption seems unreasonable. On the basis of analyzing the practical signal form, this paper derives the estimation error of the existing parameter estimation method and then proposes a novel and universal parameter estimation algorithm. But in noisy environments, it is hard to estimate t...A classical time-varying signal, the multi-component Chirp signal has been widely used and the ability to estimate its instantaneous frequency (IF) is very useful. But in noisy environments, it is hard to estimate the 1F of a multi-component Chirp signal accurately. Wigner distribution maxima (WDM) are usually utilized for this estimation. But in practice, estimation bias increases when some points deviate from the true IF in high noise environments. This paper presents a new method of multi-component Chirp signal 1F estimation named Wigner Viterbi fit (WVF), based on Wigner-Ville distribution (WVD) and the Viterbi algorithm. First, we transform the WVD of the Chirp signal into digital image, and apply the Viterbi algorithm to separate the components and estimate their IF. At last, we establish a linear model to fit the estimation results. Theoretical analysis and simulation results prove that this new method has high precision and better performance than WDM in high noise environments, and better suppression of interference and the edge effect. Compared with WDM, WVF can reduce the mean square error (MSE) by 50% when the signal to noise ration (SNR) is in the range of-15dB to -11dB. WVF is an effective and promising 1F estimation method.展开更多

A linearly chirped fiber Bragg gratin...We propose a novel lumped time-delay compensation scheme for all-optical analog-to-digital conversion based on soliton self-frequency shift and optical interconnection techniques. A linearly chirped fiber Bragg grating is optimally designed and used to compensate for the entire time-delays of the quantized pulses precisely. Simulation results show that the compensated coding pulses are well synchronized with a time difference less than 3.3 ps, which can support a maximum sampling rate of 151.52 GSa/s. The proposed scheme can efficiently reduce the structure complexity and cost of all-optical analog-to-digital conversion compared to the previous schemes with multiple optical time-delay lines.展开更多

This research, therefore, set</span><span style="font-family:;" "="">s</span><span style="font-family:;" "=""> out to evaluate the use of </span><span style="font-family:;" "="">the </span><span style="font-family:;" "="">CHIRPS satellite gridded dataset as an alternative rainfall estimate for local modelling of rainfall in Uganda. Complete, continuous and reliable <i>in</i></span><i><span style="font-family:;" "=""> </span></i><i><span style="font-family:;" "="">situ</span></i><span style="font-family:;" "=""> station observations for the period between 2012 and 2020 were used for the comparison with CHIRPS satellite data models in the same epoch. Rainfall values within the minimum 5 km and maximum 20 km radii</span><span style="font-family:;" "=""> </span><span style="font-family:;" "="">from the <i>in</i></span><i><span style="font-family:;" "=""> </span></i><i><span style="font-family:;" "="">situ</span></i><span style="font-family:;" "=""> stations were extracted at a 5 km interval from the interpolated <i>in</i></span><i><span style="font-family:;" "=""> </span></i><i><span style="font-family:;" "="">situ</span></i><span style="font-family:;" "=""> station surface and the CHIRPS satellite data model for comparison. Results of the 5 km radius were adopted for the evaluation as it</span><span style="font-family:;" "="">’</span><span style="font-family:;" "="">s closer to the optimal rain gauge coverage of 25 km<sup>2</sup>. They show the R<sup>2</sup> = 0.91, NSE = 0.88, PBias = <span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;">-</span></span>0.24 and RSR = 0.35. This attests that the CHIRPS satellite gridded datasets provide a good approximation and simulation of <i>in</i></span><i><span style="font-family:;" "=""> </span></i><i><span style="font-family:;" "="">situ</span></i><span style="font-family:;" "=""> station data with high collinearity and minimum deviation. This tallies with related studies in other regions that have found CHIRPS datasets superior to interpolation surfaces and sparse rain gauge data in the comprehensive estimation of rainfall. With a 0.05<span style="white-space:nowrap;">°</span> * 0.05<span style="white-space:nowrap;">°</span> (Latitude, longitude) spatial resolution, CHIRPS satellite gridded rainfall estimates are therefore able to provide a comprehensive rainfall estimation at a local scale. Essentially these results reward research science in regions like Uganda that have sparse rain gauges networks characterized by incomplete, inconsistent and unreliable data with an empirically researched alternative source of rainfall estimation data. From the theoretic analysis and simulation verification, it can be drawn that, for the estimation of chirp-rate and initial frequency, Pei's method [10] is more suitable if the absolute value of chirp-rate is small relatively; Ozaktas' method [9] is more suitable if the absolute value of chirp-rate is large relatively; and the two methods are both workable if the absolute value of chirp-rate is moderate. The scope of moderate chirp-rate can be approximately determined as [40 Hz/s, 110 Hz/s].

文摘The current parameter estimation algorithms of chirp rate have high complexity and long calculation time,meantime they are difficult to achieve high estimation rate. Therefore,in order to overcome these problems,in this paper,a new parameter estimation algorithm based on Holder coefficient is presented. Firstly,this algorithm calculates the correlation curve of the Holder coefficient value under different chirp rate. Secondly,this algorithm calculates the correlation curve under different SNR. Finally,the fitting curve expression can be got by the correlation curve,and then the estimation value of chirp rate can also be got. The theory analysis and simulation results show that this algorithm is simple and easy to realize,and has much better application value for real-time estimation.
文摘This paper addresses the problem of channel estimation for broadband MIMO-OFDM systems. An improved channel estimator with multipath time delay detection and channel gain estimation is proposed. In the algorithm, we used the correlation of the channel taps and a well-designed adjustment scheme to increase the accuracy of the time delay detection. The most attractive advantage is that the complicated matrix calculation is replaced by search steps which can acquire the channel order and estimate the channel parameters without significantly increasing the complexity of the system. Computer simulation showed that the proposed algorithm can track the time delays adaptively and, consequently, improve the channel estimation performance.

文摘We propose a novel lumped time-delay compensation scheme for all-optical analog-to-digital conversion based on soliton self-frequency shift and optical interconnection techniques. A linearly chirped fiber Bragg grating is optimally designed and used to compensate for the entire time-delays of the quantized pulses precisely. Simulation results show that the compensated coding pulses are well synchronized with a time difference less than 3.3 ps, which can support a maximum sampling rate of 151.52 GSa/s. The proposed scheme can efficiently reduce the structure complexity and cost of all-optical analog-to-digital conversion compared to the previous schemes with multiple optical time-delay lines.

文摘White noise deconvolution or input white noise estimation problem has important appli-cation backgrounds in oil seismic exploration,communication and signal processing.By the modern time series analysis method,based on the Auto-Regressive Moving Average(ARMA) innovation model,under the linear minimum variance optimal fusion rules,three optimal weighted fusion white noise deconvolution estimators are presented for the multisensor systems with time-delayed measurements and colored measurement noises.They can handle the input white noise fused filtering,prediction and smoothing problems.The accuracy of the fusers is higher than that of each local white noise estimator.In order to compute the optimal weights,the formula of computing the local estimation error cross-covariances is given.A Monte Carlo simulation example for the system with 3 sensors and the Bernoulli-Gaussian input white noise shows their effectiveness and performances.

This creates a critical need to understand the rainfall dynamics at the local scale. However, the country has a sternly sparse and unreliable rain gauge network. This research, therefore, set</span><span style="font-family:;" "="">s</span><span style="font-family:;" "=""> out to evaluate the use of </span><span style="font-family:;" "="">the </span><span style="font-family:;" "="">CHIRPS satellite gridded dataset as an alternative rainfall estimate for local modelling of rainfall in Uganda. Complete, continuous and reliable <i>in</i></span><i><span style="font-family:;" "=""> </span></i><i><span style="font-family:;" "="">situ</span></i><span style="font-family:;" "=""> station observations for the period between 2012 and 2020 were used for the comparison with CHIRPS satellite data models in the same epoch. Rainfall values within the minimum 5 km and maximum 20 km radii</span><span style="font-family:;" "=""> </span><span style="font-family:;" "="">from the <i>in</i></span><i><span style="font-family:;" "=""> </span></i><i><span style="font-family:;" "="">situ</span></i><span style="font-family:;" "=""> stations were extracted at a 5 km interval from the interpolated <i>in</i></span><i><span style="font-family:;" "=""> </span></i><i><span style="font-family:;" "="">situ</span></i><span style="font-family:;" "=""> station surface and the CHIRPS satellite data model for comparison. Results of the 5 km radius were adopted for the evaluation as it</span><span style="font-family:;" "="">’</span><span style="font-family:;" "="">s closer to the optimal rain gauge coverage of 25 km<sup>2</sup>. They show the R<sup>2</sup> = 0.91, NSE = 0.88, PBias = <span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;">-</span></span>0.24 and RSR = 0.35. This attests that the CHIRPS satellite gridded datasets provide a good approximation and simulation of <i>in</i></span><i><span style="font-family:;" "=""> </span></i><i><span style="font-family:;" "="">situ</span></i><span style="font-family:;" "=""> station data with high collinearity and minimum deviation. This tallies with related studies in other regions that have found CHIRPS datasets superior to interpolation surfaces and sparse rain gauge data in the comprehensive estimation of rainfall. With a 0.05<span style="white-space:nowrap;">°</span> * 0.05<span style="white-space:nowrap;">°</span> (Latitude, longitude) spatial resolution, CHIRPS satellite gridded rainfall estimates are therefore able to provide a comprehensive rainfall estimation at a local scale. Essentially these results reward research science in regions like Uganda that have sparse rain gauges networks characterized by incomplete, inconsistent and unreliable data with an empirically researched alternative source of rainfall estimation data. It further provides a platform to scientifically interrogate the rainfall dynamics at a local scale in order to infuse local policy with evidence-based formulation and application.</span><span></span> </p>

文摘Focusing on the rehabilitation training of hemiplegia patients,this paper proposes a gait-planning strategy based on a central pattern generator and an adaptive time-delay control scheme that utilizes recursive terminal sliding mode for lower limb rehabilitation exoskeleton robots.The central pattern generator network plans a reference gait trajectory for the affected leg,synchronized with the movement of the healthy leg.The proposed adaptive time-delay control scheme possesses a model-independent property due to the mechanism of time-delay estimation,with adaptive control gains that enhance the resilience against system perturbations and a recursive terminal sliding mode control component to achieve a fast convergence rate.According to the Lyapunov stability criterion,it is proved that the gait trajectory-tracking error is uniformly ultimately bounded.Experiments are conducted on a lower limb exoskeleton experimental platform,and the experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed strategies.
