Globally,approximately 10 million new tuberculosis(TB)cases are reported annually.Delayed diagnosis due to low detection rates is the primary cause of mortality.Although pathological examination is commonly used for d...Globally,approximately 10 million new tuberculosis(TB)cases are reported annually.Delayed diagnosis due to low detection rates is the primary cause of mortality.Although pathological examination is commonly used for diagnosing TB,5%-30%of cases remain undiagnosed,emphasizing the urgent need to establish quality control(QC)standards to reduce rates of misdiagnosis and missed diagnoses.To address this,we introduced a novel QC chip for detecting Mycobacterium tuberculosis(MTB).A quantitative pathological QC model was constructed by precisely and uniformly integrating MTB and HeLa cells into a photocurable hydrogel.This model was then sliced into uniform sections to create QC chips.It demonstrated that the QC chips exhibited no significant differences in intra-batch or inter-batch variation(coefficient of variation<5%),and remained stable at−80°C for one year.Furthermore,these chips were found to be 100%effective when tested with 240 clinical samples(200 with special staining and 40 with polymerase chain reaction).In addition to enhancing TB detection rates,this approach offers visualization,quantification,and sustainable production.Overall,this work provides a novel framework for developing QC chips for pathological testing,offering a reliable solution to enhance clinical diagnostic workflows.展开更多

Methods: The HR was recorded in six conscious Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats. An implanted chip system was designed to regulate the HR by stimulating the right cervical vagus nerve according to the feedback of real time HR. Each rat was subjected to 30-min regulation and 30-min recovery. The change of HR during the regulation period was compared with the control. The ECG was recorded during the experiment for 24 h. Results: The ECG signals were successfully recorded during the experiment. The HR was significantly decreased during the period of regulation compared with control (-79.3 ± 34.5, P 〈 0.01, n = 6) and then recovered to normal after regulation. Conclusion: The described implanted chip system can regulate the HR to a designated set point.展开更多

Vibrational strong coupling(VSC)provides a promising way towards not only enhanced control of infrared light but also reshaping of molecular properties,which opens up unprecedented opportunities in ultrasensitive infr...Vibrational strong coupling(VSC)provides a promising way towards not only enhanced control of infrared light but also reshaping of molecular properties,which opens up unprecedented opportunities in ultrasensitive infrared spectroscopy,modification of chemical reactions,and exploration of nonlinear quantum effects.Surface plasmon resonance,excited on simple plasmonic resonators in the infrared,has been demonstrated as a means to realize VSC,but suffers from either limited quality factor for realizing large Rabi splitting or poor reconfigurability for precise detuning control.Here we propose and experimentally demonstrate,for the first time,an on-chip plasmonic resonator based on degeneracy breaking of Wood’s anomaly for VSC.Leveraging the low damping rate of the surface state induced by this degeneracy breaking,we achieve a plasmonic resonance with a high-Q factor exceeding~110,resulting in a Rabi splitting up to~112 cm^(-1) with a subwavelength molecular layer.Additionally,the dispersion of the surface state allows for precise control over VSC detuning by simply adjusting the incident angle of excitation light,even in the absence of photons,enabling a broad detuning range up to 300 cm^(-1).These experimental results align well with our analytical model and numerical simulation.This work provides a promising integrated platform for VSC,with various potential applications in on-chip spectroscopy,polariton chemistry,and polariton devices.展开更多

In the process of ceramic chip CNC grinding, the dimension of the chips tends to get larger and the dimensional error to exceed the tolerance as the number of the chips increases which are machined on the same part program. There are many factors leading to the occurrence of the error and the law of error variation is very complicated. With the introduced intelligent self learning error compensation technique, the CNC system can improve the control strategy to compensate the error automatically. The high-speed computational performance is gained at the cost of huge hardware resource,which restricts the application of high-accuracy algorithms because of the limited hardware cost in practical use.To solve the p...The high-speed computational performance is gained at the cost of huge hardware resource,which restricts the application of high-accuracy algorithms because of the limited hardware cost in practical use.To solve the problem,a novel method for designing the field programmable gate array(FPGA)-based non-uniform rational B-spline(NURBS) interpolator and motion controller,which adopts the embedded multiprocessor technique,is proposed in this study.The hardware and software design for the multiprocessor,one of which is for NURBS interpolation and the other for position servo control,is presented.Performance analysis and experiments on an X-Y table are carried out,hardware cost as well as consuming time for interpolation and motion control is compared with the existing methods.The experimental and comparing results indicate that,compared with the existing methods,the proposed method can reduce the hardware cost by 97.5% using higher-accuracy interpolation algorithm within the period of 0.5 ms.A method which ensures the real-time performance and interpolation accuracy,and reduces the hardware cost significantly is proposed,and it’s practical in the use of industrial application.展开更多

A Scilab/Scicos based embedded controller is developed on which various control software can be easily modeled, simulated, implemented, and evaluated to meet the ever-expanding requirements of industrial control applications. Built on the Cirrus Logic EP9315 ARM systems-on-chip board, this embedded controller is possible to develop complex embedded control systems that employ advanced control strategies in a rapid and cost-efficient fashion. Due to the free and open source nature of the software packages used, the cost of the embedded controller is minimized.展开更多
