However, accurately distinguishing the MA contributions of different scale factors and tuning the optimal combined effects remains a formidable challenge. This study employs a synergistic approach combining template protection etching and vacuum annealing to construct a controlled system of micrometer-sized cavities and amorphous carbon matrices in metal-organic framework (MOF) derivatives. The results demonstrate that the spatial effects introduced by the hollow structure enhance dielectric loss but significantly weaken impedance matching. By increasing the proportion of amorphous carbon, the balance between electromagnetic loss and impedance matching can be effectively maintained. Importantly, in a suitable graphitization environment, the presence of oxygen vacancies in amorphous carbon can induce significant polarization to compensate for the reduced conductivity loss due to the absence of sp2 carbon. Through the synergistic effects of morphology and composition, the samples exhibit a broader absorption bandwidth (6.28 GHz) and stronger reflection loss (−61.64 dB) compared to the original MOF. In conclusion, this study aims to elucidate the multiscale impacts of macroscopic micro-nano structure and microscopic defect engineering, providing valuable insights for future research in this field.展开更多

In the composite frame structure, the fiber winding angle at the micro-material scale and the geometrical parameter of components of the frame in the macro-structural scale are introduced as the independent variables on the two geometrical scales. Considering manufacturing requirements, discrete fiber winding angles are specified for the micro design variable. The improved Heaviside penalization discrete material optimization interpolation scheme has been applied to achieve the discrete optimization design of the fiber winding angle. An optimization model based on the minimum structural compliance and the specified fiber material volume constraint has been established. The sensitivity information about the two geometrical scales design variables are also deduced considering the characteristics of discrete fiber winding angles. The optimization results of the fiber winding angle or the macro structural topology on the two single geometrical scales, together with the concurrent two-scale optimization, is separately studied and compared in the paper. Numerical examples in the paper show that the concurrent multi-scale optimization can further explore the coupling effect between the macro-structure and micro-material of the composite to achieve an ultralight design of the composite frame structure. The novel two geometrical scales optimization model provides a new opportunity for the design of composite structure in aerospace and other industries.展开更多

In order to improve the efficiency of feature extraction of wind turbine rolling bearings and to strengthen the feature information, a new structural element and an adaptive algorithm based on the peak energy are proposed, which are combined with spectral correlation analysis to form a fault diagnosis algorithm for wind turbine rolling bearings. The proposed method firstly addresses the problem of impulsive signal omissions that are prone to occur in the process of fault feature extraction of traditional structural elements and proposes a "W" structural element to capture more characteristic information. Then, the proposed method selects the scale of multi-scale mathematical morphology, aiming at the problem of multi-scale mathematical morphology scale selection and structural element expansion law. An adaptive algorithm based on peak energy is proposed to carry out morphological scale selection and structural element expansion by improving the computing efficiency and enhancing the feature extraction effect. Finally, the proposed method performs spectral correlation analysis in the frequency domain for an unknown signal of the extracted feature and identifies the fault based on the correlation coefficient. The method is verified by numerical examples using experimental rig bearing data and actual wind field acquisition data and compared with traditional triangular and flat structural elements. The experimental results show that the new structural elements can more effectively extract the pulses in the signal and reduce noise interference, and the fault-diagnosis algorithm can accurately identify the fault category and improve the reliability of the results.展开更多

Numerous geological and geophysical studies have been carried out on the mechanics of the Tibetan Plateau deformation and uplift; however, the detailed structure and deformation style of the Qilian Orogen Zone have remained uncertain due to poor geophysical data coverage and limited resolution power of inversion algorithms. In this study, we analyze the P-wave velocity structure beneath the Qilian Orogen Zone, obtained by applying multi-scale seismic tomography technique to P-wave arrival time data recorded by regional seismic networks. The seismic tomography algorithm used in this study employs sparsity constraints on the wavelet representation of the velocity model via L1-norm regularization. This algorithm can deal efficiently with uneven-sampled volumes, and can obtain multi-scale images of the velocity model. Our results can be summarized as follows:(1) The crustal velocity structure is strongly inhomogeneous and consistent with the surface geological setting. Significant low-velocity anomalies exist in the crust of northeastern Tibet, and slight high-velocity anomalies exist beneath the Qaidam Basin and Alxa terrane.(2)The Qilian Orogen Zone can be divided into two main parts by the Laji Shan Faults: the northwestern part with a low-velocity feature, and the southeastern part with a high-velocity feature at the upper and middle crust.(3) Our tomographic images suggest that northwestern and southeastern Qilian Orogen Zones have undergone different tectonic processes. In the northwest Qilian Orogen Zone, the deformation and growth of the Northern Tibetan Plateau has extended to the Heli Shan and Beida Shan region by northward overthrusting at the upper crust and thickening in the lower crust. We speculate that in the southeast Qilian Orogen Zone the deformation and growth of the Northern Tibet Plateau were of strike-slip style at the upper crust; in the lower crust, the evidence suggests ductile shear extrusion style and active frontage extension to the Alxa terrane.(4) The multi-scale seismic tomography technique provides multiscale analysis and sparse constraints, which has allowed to us obtain stable, high-resolution results.展开更多

The energy-minimization multi-scale (EMMS) model is modified to simulate the variation of structure parameters with solids concentration, showing the tendency for particles to aggregate to form clusters and for fluid to pass around clusters. The global drag coefficient is resolved into that for the dense phase, for the dilute phase and for the so-called inter-phase, all of which can be obtained from their respective phase-specific structure parameters. The computational results show that the drag coefficients of the different phases are quite different, and the global drag coefficient calculated from the EMMS approach is much lower than that from the correlation of Wen and Yu. The simulation results demonstrate that the EMMS approach can well describe the heterogeneous flow structure, and is very promising for incorporation into the two-fluid model or the discrete particle model as the closure law for drag coefficient.展开更多

Beneath the fully developed TBL, the wall pressure fluctuations are attained by a microphone mechanism with high spatial resolution. Analysis on the statistic and spectrum properties of velocity and wall pressure reveals the relationship between the wall pressure fluctuation and the energy-containing structure in the buffer layer of the TBL. Wavelet transform shows the multi-scale natures of coherent structures contained in both signals of velocity and pressure. The most intermittent wall pressure scale is associated with the coherent structure in the buffer layer. Meanwhile the most energetic scale of velocity fluctuation at y+ = 14 provides a specific frequency f9 ≈ 147 Hz for wall actuating control with Ret = 996.展开更多

However, apple leaf diseases do not differ significantly from image texture and structural information. The difficulties in disease feature extraction in complex backgrounds slow the related research progress. To address the problems, this paper proposes an improved multi-scale inverse bottleneck residual network model based on a triplet parallel attention mechanism, which is built upon ResNet-50, while improving and combining the inception module and ResNext inverse bottleneck blocks, to recognize seven types of apple leaf(including six diseases of alternaria leaf spot, brown spot, grey spot, mosaic, rust, scab, and one healthy). First, the 3×3 convolutions in some of the residual modules are replaced by multi-scale residual convolutions, the convolution kernels of different sizes contained in each branch of the multi-scale convolution are applied to extract feature maps of different sizes, and the outputs of these branches are multi-scale fused by summing to enrich the output features of the images. Second, the global layer-wise dynamic coordinated inverse bottleneck structure is used to reduce the network feature loss. The inverse bottleneck structure makes the image information less lossy when transforming from different dimensional feature spaces. The fusion of multi-scale and layer-wise dynamic coordinated inverse bottlenecks makes the model effectively balances computational efficiency and feature representation capability, and more robust with a combination of horizontal and vertical features in the fine identification of apple leaf diseases. Finally, after each improved module, a triplet parallel attention module is integrated with cross-dimensional interactions among channels through rotations and residual transformations, which improves the parallel search efficiency of important features and the recognition rate of the network with relatively small computational costs while the dimensional dependencies are improved. To verify the validity of the model in this paper, we uniformly enhance apple leaf disease images screened from the public data sets of Plant Village, Baidu Flying Paddle, and the Internet. The final processed image count is 14,000. The ablation study, pre-processing comparison, and method comparison are conducted on the processed datasets. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method reaches 98.73% accuracy on the adopted datasets, which is 1.82% higher than the classical ResNet-50 model, and 0.29% better than the apple leaf disease datasets before preprocessing. It also achieves competitive results in apple leaf disease identification compared to some state-ofthe-art methods.展开更多

The validity of the developed multi-scale damage model is verified by comparing the predicted damage evolution curve with the experimental data. It shows that the developed model is effectiveness. Finally, the fatigue analysis on steel crane runway girders (CRGs) of industrial steel melt shop is performed based on the developed model.

文摘In this paper,to present a lightweight-developed front underrun protection device(FUPD)for heavy-duty trucks, plain weave carbon fiber reinforced plastic(CFRP)is used instead of the original high-strength steel.First, the mechanical and structural properties of plain carbon fiber composite anti-collision beams are comparatively analyzed from a multi-scale perspective. For studying the design capability of carbon fiber composite materials,we investigate the effects of TC-33 carbon fiber diameter(D),fiber yarn width(W)and height(H),and fiber yarn density(N)on the front underrun protective beam of carbon fiber compositematerials.Based on the investigation,a material-structure matching strategy suitable for the front underrun protective beam of heavy-duty trucks is proposed.Next, the composite material structure is optimized by applying size optimization and stack sequence optimization methods to obtain the higher performance carbon fiber composite front underrun protection beam of commercial vehicles. The results show that the fiber yarn height(H)has the greatest influence on the protective beam, and theH1matching scheme for the front underrun protective beamwith a carbon fiber composite structure exhibits superior performance. The proposed method achieves a weight reduction of 55.21% while still meeting regulatory requirements, which demonstrates its remarkable weight reduction effect.

文摘Nb3Sn and other A15 members have been widely applied in nuclear power, nuclear magnetic resonance, and high-energy particle accelerators for their high critical current density (Jc) and upper critical field (Bc2). There have been comprehensive and intensive studies on the applications, the fundamental lattice dynamic and electronic properties, etc., of A15 superconductors. Various reviews on the preparations, structures, and properties have already been written in the last few years. Nevertheless, on account of the large amount of existing facts and views, a coherent view on the relations between the structures and properties has not appeared to unify the facts. This article sketches a multi-scale point of view on the relations between the multi- scale structures and the corresponding properties.

文摘Due to the uneven distribution of pore size in coal and its wide distribution range,it is difficult to effectively characterize the multi-scale pore structure of coal by a single method. In this paper, the multi-scale pore structure characteristics of coal were analyzed comprehensively by using scanning electron microscope,low-temperature liquid nitrogen adsorption,high-pressure mercury intrusion and constant-rate mercury intrusion. In addition, the effects of metamorphism on the volume and specific surface area of pores in coal were revealed, and the relationships between coal rock permeability and pore structure characteristic parameters were described. And the following research results were obtained.First, with the increase of coal metamorphism, the volume and specific surface area of nanopores in coal decrease first and then increase, and they reach the minimum value when Ro,max is about 1.8%.Second,the pore and throat radii of coal samples are overall in the form of normal distribution. And with the increase of coal metamorphism, the pore radius corresponding to the maximum distribution frequency increases.Third, the samples of low-rank bituminous coal are the highest in throat radius distribution range, connected throat radius and average throat radius.Fourth, the samples of anthracite coal are the lowest in throat radius distribution range and connected throat radius.Fifth, there is a single main peak in the distribution of pore-throat ratios of low-and medium-rank bituminous coal samples, and the pore-throat ratios corresponding to the main peak is relatively low.Sixth, the permeability of coal is in a positive correlation with porosity and an average throat radius, and in a negative correlation with an average pore-throat ratio, but in no obvious correlation with an average pore radius.

文摘An accurate and comprehensive understanding of shale pore structure is fundamental and critical for accurate reserves evaluation and efficient hydrocarbon development. Thus,by taking the shale of Paleogene Eocene Shahejie Formation in the Jiyang Depression,Bohai Bay Basin,as an example, the 2D and 3D multi-resolution images of the shale microstructure are obtained by multiple imaging technologies, including X-ray computed tomography,large-field scanning electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and focused ion beam scanning electron microscopy.By integrating image processing and machine learning algorithms, the shale pore structure is characterized at a single scale and multi scales. The results are obtained as follows.First, the shale pore space in the study area is mainly composed of microfractures, inorganic pores, organic matters and organic pores, and exclusively shows multi-scale characteristics.Second, there are various types of inorganic pores, and abundant dissolution pores;organic matters are distributed as strips and patches, and no organic pores are found in some organic matters.Third, pores with radius less than 20 nm account for 25%,those with radius between 20 and 50 nm account for 19%,those with radius between 50 and 100 nm account for 29%,those with radius between 100 and 500 nm account for 14%,those with radius between 500 nm and 20 mm account for 11%,and those with radius between 20 and 50 mm account for 2%.Fourth,the organic pores are less connected than the inorganic pores. The connectivity between organic pores and inorganic pores plays a crucial role in hydrocarbon migration, and microfractures control fluid flow channels.Fifth, pores with radius less than 50 nm are dominantly organic pores, those with radius between 50 and 500 nm are mainly organic and inorganic pores, and microfractures mainly contribute to the pores with radius more than 500 nm.It is concluded that a single imaging experiment cannot accurately and comprehensively reveal the multi-scale micro pore structure of a shale reservoir.Through integration of multiple imaging technologies and machine learning algorithms, the shale pore structure can be recognized and characterized at both single scale and multi scales. The proposed new method provides accurate and comprehensive information of multi-scale pore structures.

文摘Coral reef limestone(CRL)constitutes a distinctive marine carbonate formation with complex mechanical properties. This study investigates the multiscale damage and fracture mechanisms of CRL through integrated experimental testing, digital core technology, and theoretical modelling. Two CRL types with contrasting mesostructures were characterized across three scales.Macroscopically,CRL-I and CRL-II exhibited mean compressive strengths of 8.46 and 5.17 MPa,respectively.Mesoscopically,CRL-I featured small-scale highly interconnected pores, whilst CRL-II developed larger stratified pores with diminished connectivity.Microscopically, both CRL matrices demonstrated remarkable similarity in mineral composition and mechanical properties.A novel voxel average-based digital core scaling methodology was developed to facilitate numerical simulation of cross-scale damage processes, revealing network-progressive failure in CRL-I versus directional-brittle failure in CRL-II.Furthermore,a damage statistical constitutive model based on digital core technology and mesoscopic homogenisation theory established quantitative relationships between microelement strength distribution and macroscopic mechanical behavior. These findings illuminate the fundamental mechanisms through which mesoscopic structure governs the macroscopic mechanical properties of CRL.

文摘Working conditions of rolling bearings of wind turbine generators are complicated, and their vibration signals often show non-linear and non-stationary characteristics. The experimental results show that the new structural elements can more effectively extract the pulses in the signal and reduce noise interference, and the fault-diagnosis algorithm can accurately identify the fault category and improve the reliability of the results.

文摘This paper aims to develop a nonrigid registration method of preoperative and intraoperative thoracoabdominal CT images in computer-assisted interventional surgeries for accurate tumor localization and tissue visualization enhancement. However, fine structure registration of complex thoracoabdominal organs and large deformation registration caused by respiratory motion is challenging. To deal with this problem,we propose a 3D multi-scale attention VoxelMorph(MAVoxelMorph)registration network. To alleviate the large deformation problem,a multi-scale axial attention mechanism is utilized by using a residual dilated pyramid pooling for multi-scale feature extraction, and position-aware axial attention for long-distance dependencies between pixels capture. To further improve the large deformation and fine structure registration results,a multi-scale context channel attention mechanism is employed utilizing content information via adjacent encoding layers. Our method was evaluated on four public lung datasets(DIR-Lab dataset,Creatis dataset,Learn2Reg dataset,OASIS dataset)and a local dataset. Results proved that the proposed method achieved better registration performance than current state-of-the-art methods, especially in handling the registration of large deformations and fine structures. It also proved to be fast in 3D image registration, using about 1.5 s,and faster than most methods.Qualitative and quantitative assessments proved that the proposed MA-VoxelMorph has the potential to realize precise and fast tumor localization in clinical interventional surgeries.

文摘In composites with specific structures, rational regulation of the structure and distribution of reinforcing phases is shown to enhance both strength and ductility.Typical structures such as network, layered, and columnar structures have proven to be effective in improving the strength and ductility of the composites. However, issues such as narrow size ranges, uneven distribution, and weak interfacial bonding of the reinforcements have resulted in the performance of the composite not being fully exploited. Here,we present a bioinspired multi-scale heterogeneous layered composite(MHLC)that achieves an optimal balance between strength and ductility. This heterogeneous layered structure is composed of alternately stacking Cu-Ti layers and GNPs/Cu layers, where the Cu-Ti layer contains uniformly distributed plate-like β-Cu_(4)Ti intermetallic compounds, and the GNPs/Cu layer contains layered graphene nanoplatelets(GNPs).Additionally, the size, distribution, and shape of the reinforcements can be adjusted through heat treatment and cold rolling, thereby achieving a balance between strength and ductility.Molecular dynamics simulation and finite element simulation were conducted to investigate the structural evolution ofβ-Cu4Ti and the influence of the reinforcements on tensile properties, respectively. Our results provide important references for exploring the potential of multi-scale heterogeneous layered structures in enhancing the strength and ductility of the composites.

文摘Text,as a fundamental carrier of human language and culture, exhibits high structural and semantic complexity. Its systematic analysis is essential for understanding linguistic patterns and cultural transmission.A Dream of Red Mansions and All Men Are Brothers, two masterpieces of Chinese classical literature, have long been central to debates regarding the authorship of their later chapters.Previous studies, often based on word-frequency statistics, function word distributions, entropy measures, and complex network analyses, have provided valuable insights into stylistic differences;however, they remain limited in capturing cross-scale structural features. To address this gap,we apply a multi-scale structural complexity approach based on character-frequency time series to analyze the structural evolution of both novels under various segmentation strategies. Our results reveal significant differences in peak complexity positions, overall complexity levels, and intra-textual variations between the two works, which are closely linked to changes in authorship and stylistic patterns. This study not only provides new quantitative evidence for resolving authorship disputes in classical literature but also demonstrates, from the perspective of structural complexity, the profound depth and unique charm of Chinese literary expression, highlighting the richness of Chinese language and culture. Moreover,it emphasizes the potential of structural complexity analysis as a versatile tool for textual analysis and style attribution.

文摘The Qilian Orogen Zone(QOZ), located in the north margin of the Tibetan Plateau, is the key area for understanding the deformation and dynamics process of Tibet. We speculate that in the southeast Qilian Orogen Zone the deformation and growth of the Northern Tibet Plateau were of strike-slip style at the upper crust; in the lower crust, the evidence suggests ductile shear extrusion style and active frontage extension to the Alxa terrane.(4) The multi-scale seismic tomography technique provides multiscale analysis and sparse constraints, which has allowed to us obtain stable, high-resolution results.

文摘Well-developed pores and cracks in coal reservoirs are the main venues for gas storage and migration. To investigate the multi-scale pore fractal characteristics, six coal samples of different rankings were studied using high-pressure mercury injection(HPMI),low-pressure nitrogen adsorption(LPGA-N2),and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)test methods.Based on the Frankel,Halsey and Hill(FHH)fractal theory, the Menger sponge model,Pores and Cracks Analysis System(PCAS),pore volume complexity(D_(v)),coal surface irregularity(Ds)and pore distribution heterogeneity(D_(p))were studied and evaluated, respectively. The effect of three fractal dimensions on the gas adsorption ability was also analyzed with high-pressure isothermal gas adsorption experiments. Results show that pore structures within these coal samples have obvious fractal characteristics.A noticeable segmentation effect appears in the Dv1and Dv2fitting process, with the boundary size ranging from 36.00 to 182.95 nm,which helps differentiate diffusion pores and seepage fractures. The D values show an asymmetric U-shaped trend as the coal metamorphism increases, demonstrating that coalification greatly affects the pore fractal dimensions. The three fractal dimensions can characterize the difference in coal microstructure and reflect their influence on gas adsorption ability.Langmuir volume(V_(L))has an evident and positive correlation with Dsvalues, whereas Langmuir pressure(P_(L))is mainly affected by the combined action of Dvand Dp.This study will provide valuable knowledge for the appraisal of coal seam gas reservoirs of differently ranked coals.

文摘This study investigates the heterogeneous structure and its influence on drag coefficient for concurrent-up gas-solid flow. The simulation results demonstrate that the EMMS approach can well describe the heterogeneous flow structure, and is very promising for incorporation into the two-fluid model or the discrete particle model as the closure law for drag coefficient.

文摘Most reported electromagnetic wave absorption(EWA)materials show significant effective absorption in a certain frequency range, but their performances deteriorate dramatically as the frequency changes. As the range of working frequencies for electronic devices is gradually widening,it is of great interest to explore frequency-insensitive EWA materials that can achieve efficient absorption in every waveband by simply changing the absorption thickness. To this end,a multi-scale absorber(Fe/Fe_(3) C@NC)is rationally synthesized by chemical foaming and in-situ growth strategy.By controlling the growth of carbon nan-otubes,the Fe/Fe_(3) C@NC-2 exhibits a well-constructed 3D multi-scale architecture. Thanks to dipole po-larization,interface polarization and magnetic-dielectric energy conversion, the Fe/Fe_(3) C@NC-2 overcomes the frequency dispersion behavior and keeps a stable dielectric attenuation capability across the entire frequency range.Consequently,it delivers a superb full-band absorption of-50.1,-59.83,-55.87 and-51.91 dB in the S,C,X and Ku bands, respectively. The maximum radar cross-sectional reduction reaches 35.44 dB m^(-2) when the incidentθis 20°,testifying its impressive performance.Surprisingly, this EWA material also shows a remarkable resistance to oxidation and corrosion derived from the tightly coated carbon layers. This work provides new insight into the design of multi-band and stable EWA materials for practical application.

文摘When using a miniature single sensor boundary layer probe, the time sequences of the stream-wise velocity in the turbulent boundary layer (TBL) are measured by using a hot wire anemometer. Meanwhile the most energetic scale of velocity fluctuation at y+ = 14 provides a specific frequency f9 ≈ 147 Hz for wall actuating control with Ret = 996.

文摘Accurate diagnosis of apple leaf diseases is crucial for improving the quality of apple production and promoting the development of the apple industry. It also achieves competitive results in apple leaf disease identification compared to some state-ofthe-art methods.
