Ge_(2)Sb_(2)Se_(4)Te_(1),a newly developed phase change material derived from Ge_(2)Sb_(2)Te_(5),has garnered significant interest among researchers due to its numerous advantages.Here,its phase change characteristics...Ge_(2)Sb_(2)Se_(4)Te_(1),a newly developed phase change material derived from Ge_(2)Sb_(2)Te_(5),has garnered significant interest among researchers due to its numerous advantages.Here,its phase change characteristics under the electron beam evaporation method are thoroughly investigated,and a layered tunable color structure is proposed.Based on the low intrinsic absorption of Ge_(2)Sb_(2)Se_(4)Te_(1) material,it exhibits excellent dynamic tunability along with vivid color appearance including high brightness and high purity.In experiments,five representative colors—red,green,blue,yellow,and purple—were successfully prepared.The peak reflection of these samples averaged 92%,and when heated to 320°C,the temperature at which the phase transition of Ge_(2)Sb_(2)Se_(4)Te_(1) occurred,reflection loss was barely observed.In addition,after phase transition,the sideband reflection at non-target wavelengths decreased by 30%,bringing high-purity crystalline-state colors and noticeable color changes.Therefore,it is believed that the structural color scheme proposed here will contribute to the development of many fields including smart glasses,artificial retinal devices,high-resolution displays,and beyond.展开更多
A series of chalcogenide compounds with various compositions,i.e.,octanuclear or tetranuclear Zn-S clusters,have been synthesised in a straighforward manner.Different fused-ring aromatic ligands were used as capping l...A series of chalcogenide compounds with various compositions,i.e.,octanuclear or tetranuclear Zn-S clusters,have been synthesised in a straighforward manner.Different fused-ring aromatic ligands were used as capping ligands and the corresponding zero-dimensional(0D)products were obtained.On the other hand,use of bridging ligands led to a family of one-dimensional(1D)coordination polymers,and an in situ ligand reaction has been observed in[Zn_(8)S(SC_(6)H_(5))_(13)L_(1)(H_(2)O)]·2H_(2)O(L=3-carboxypryidyl)due to the hydrolysis of the cyano group of 3-pyridinecarbonitrile.A very rare 1D helical-chain structure was observed in[Zn_(4)(SC_(6)H_(5))_(8)L_(1)](L=4,4’-bipyridyl),providing evidence of the character of bridging organic ligands in the corresponding crystalline materials.First-principles calculations on[Zn_(4)(SC_(6)H_(5))_(8)L_(1)](L=4,4’-bipyridyl)further revealed that the two cluster units could rotate freely about the C-C single bond over a broad range,eventually leading to the formation of a one-dimensional helical structure.展开更多
