[Objectives]This study was conducted to better understand the occurrence status of thrips in Central Hunan,clarify thrips species,and provide a basis for scientific control.[Methods]The occurrence of thrips in the Cen...[Objectives]This study was conducted to better understand the occurrence status of thrips in Central Hunan,clarify thrips species,and provide a basis for scientific control.[Methods]The occurrence of thrips in the Central Hunan Region were investigated and analyzed.Through field collection,molecular biological identification and sequencing,thrips populations in the region were identified.[Results]Six species of thrips infesting vegetable crops were identified in the Central Hunan Region,with Megalurothrips usitatus,Thrips palmi,and Frankliniella intonsa being the dominant species.These pests were particularly severe on leguminous and cucurbit crops.[Conclusions]Combined with integrated control strategies,this study provides theoretical and technical support for the scientific management of thrips in the Central Hunan Region,ensuring the sustainable development of the local vegetable industry.展开更多
[Objective] The aim is to expound the abrupt rainstorm in the central Hunan Province on May 6 in 2010.[Method] By dint of NCEP 1°×1° reanalysis data,routine observation data,auto-station precipitation a...[Objective] The aim is to expound the abrupt rainstorm in the central Hunan Province on May 6 in 2010.[Method] By dint of NCEP 1°×1° reanalysis data,routine observation data,auto-station precipitation and FY-2C satellite data,the large-scale circulation background and physical condition during the large rainstorm period from the night on May 5 to 6 in 2010 were analyzed.The large scale environment,meso-scale characteristics and potential causes for the formation of large precipitation were revealed.By dint of FY-2D satellite and water-vapor cloud image,infrared cloud image,4 black light temperature,the variation characteristics of heavy rainstorm convection system were analyzed.[Result] Under the favorable environment background,the rainstorm was induced by the meso-scale convection system,and it had close relation with the upper-air trough,shear line in the middle and low layer,ground weak and cold air and the torrent in the upper and low latitude.The result of all kinds of physical quantities suggested that the meso-scale rainstorm above the air had distinct characteristics and the heavy precipitation was in the middle Hunan Province.It was caused by meso-system.The dynamic dry belt above the satellite,TBB=-60℃ center and the large value area of the gradient could provide references for the forecast and pre-warning of large rainstorm.[Conclusion] The study accumulated experiences for the forecast and report of rainstorm in Hunan Province.展开更多
The coal metamorphism in Central Hunan pro-vides valuable information about hydrothermal activity and water/rock reactions.Learning how to collect age data on hydrothermal fluid systems is necessary for understanding ...The coal metamorphism in Central Hunan pro-vides valuable information about hydrothermal activity and water/rock reactions.Learning how to collect age data on hydrothermal fluid systems is necessary for understanding the history and genetic mechanisms of large-scale coal-generated graphite deposits.The Shihangli graphite deposit,formed by significant siliceous hydrothermal alteration,is the most distinctive in Central Hunan.Re–Os dating of pyrite from the Shihangli graphite deposit demonstrates that the coal-generated graphite mineraliza-tion age is-127.6±3.8 Ma.Based on in-situ mineral analysis,the hydrothermal pyrite in the Shihangli graphite deposit is mostly enriched in Sb,As,Au,W,Ag,Cu,Pb,and Zn.Based on the pyrite Re–Os isochron,the initial(^(187)Os/^(188)Os)values of pyrite were 1.03±0.24 and the Os(t)values varied from 571.8 to 755.1.Pyrite from the Shihangli graphite deposit comprises a Pb isotope composition similar to that of the Madiyi Formation bulk rock and stibnite from the Xikuangshan Sb deposit.Based on the Re–Os,Sr,S,and Pb isotopic compositions of sul-fides in the graphite and Sb deposits in Central Hunan,the Madiyi Formation was likely the primary source of ore-forming elements(Sb,Au,and As).The Re–Os and Pb isotope compositions of pyrite most likely reflect when large-scale fluid migration and coal-generated graphite mineralization occurred in Central Hunan.展开更多

[Objectives]This study was conducted to clarify the occurrence of weeds,and give relevant comprehensive control suggestions accordingly.[Methods]The species and community characteristics of weeds in abandoned rice fie...[Objectives]This study was conducted to clarify the occurrence of weeds,and give relevant comprehensive control suggestions accordingly.[Methods]The species and community characteristics of weeds in abandoned rice fields in central Hunan were investigated and analyzed.[Results]There were 75 species of weeds in the abandoned farmland in central Hunan,belonging to 66 genera,27 families.Among them,22 species had a relative abundance of more than 5%.According to the different water environments of abandoned fields,there were differences in the types and structures of weeds.They succeeded to wetland vegetation types and dryland vegetation types respectively.Species grown in the original farmland still exist in abandoned fields,but they were mainly invaded by field weeds,such as Digitaria sanguinalis,Eleusine indica,Panicum acroanthum,Bidens pilosa,and Xanthium sibiricum.[Conclusions]This study lays a foundation for fully guaranteeing the actual results of re-cultivation of abandoned land in rural areas.展开更多

The ore bodies are strictly confined to the footwalls of mafor high-angle normal faults which transect the inclined folds in the flank;away from the fault planes,both the homogenization temperatures of inclusions in gangue minerals and the intensity of antimony mineralization decrease.These characteristics strongly demonstrate that the faults are used as the conduit for the metal-bearing fluid in mineralization.The normal faults,striking the NE to NNE,are interpreted to be generated by the postmgenic extension in the time from Cretaceous to Paleogene.Crustal or lithospheric thinning, directly resulting from regional extension inevitably increase the geothermal gradient, Which is likely to cause large-scale convection of underground water that may leach out and transport valuablemetals such as Sb from source rocks.Focussed discharge along the fault zones contributes to the formation of the supergiant antimony deposit in Xikuangshan under the appropriate sedimentary barrier.展开更多
