After modification, a re-melted layer without obvious pores and oxide stringers is formed, the gain size of re-melted layer is approximately 80–120 nm. It is shown, from cyclic oxidation at 1100℃,that a thin oxide scale mainly composed of α-Al;O;has been formed on the modified bond-coat and the oxidation resistance of the modified bond-coat has been significantly improved. Such beneficial result can be attributed to following effects: during CPE process, the plasma discharges with high temperature take place on the bond-coat surface. With plasma discharge treatment, the surface is melted and quickly re-solidified, the grain size decreases, and the pores and oxide stringers disappear. During cyclic oxidation, owing to the above modification of surface properties, the critical content of Al for selective oxidation is significantly decreased. Therefore, a continuous Al;O;scale is formed.展开更多

High resolution transmission electron microscopy images reveal that the multilayered structure is derived from different grain sizes in the nanocomposite. Due to the existence of h-BN phase, the friction coefficient of the coating is about 0.25.展开更多

The plasma density in DC-driven or pulsed HCD is on the order of 1012 cm-3, which can block the X-band MW effectively. In the case of pulsed HCD, the MW transmittance shows the same waveform as the pulsed current during the rising edge if the driving frequency is low, but with a longer delay during the falling edge. The MW transmittance reaches a constant low level when the driving frequency is high enough. The plasma decay time in the HCD system is measured to be about 100 μs around a pressure of 120 Pa. The ambipolar diffusion is considered to be the major mechanism in the decay process.展开更多

It is indicated that the parameters for a stable discharge are voltage of 400 V, frequency of 100 Hz, duty cycle of 30% based on a large amount of experiment data. The morphology, structure and composition of the coated samples are studied by SEM, FTIR, XRD, XPS. The results demonstrate that the composite coatings are uniform, and some solid particles of inorganic salt containing calcium and phosphorus dispersed on the coatings. CA tests show that the samples treated by the liquid plasma became less hydrophilic. The variation of hydrophilicity on the CLPT treated titanium is attributed to the change of the function groups on the sample surface. Although tungsten has numerous advantages compared with other materials, issues including dust are rather difficult to deal with. Dust is produced in fusion devices by energetic plasma-surface interaction. The re-deposition of dust particles could cause the retention of fuel atoms. In this work, tungsten is deposited with deuterium plasma by hollow cathode discharge to simulate the dust production in a tokamak. The morphology of the deposited tungsten can be described as a film with spherical particles on it. Thermal desorption spectra of the deposited tungsten show extremely high desorption of the peak positions. It is also found that there is a maximum retention of deuterium in the deposited tungsten samples due to the dynamic equilibrium of the deposition and sputtering process on the substrates.展开更多

The formation of a c...To reduce Ni ion release and improve biocompatibility of NiTi alloy, the cathodic plasma electrolytic deposition (CPED) technique was used to fabricate ceramic coating onto a NiTi alloy surface. The formation of a coating with a rough and micro-textured surface was confirmed by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, re- spectively. An inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry test showed that the formed coating significantly reduced the release of Ni ions from the NiTi alloy in simulated body fluid. The in- fluence of CPED treated NiTi substrates on the biological behaviors of osteoblasts, including cell adhesion, cell viability, and osteogenic differentiation function (alkaline phosphatase), was inves- tigated in vitro. Immunofluorescence staining of nuclei revealed that the CPED treated NiTi alloy was favorable for cell growth. Osteoblasts on CPED modified NiTi alloy showed greater cell viability than those for the native NiTi substrate after 4 and 7 days cultures. More importantly, osteoblasts cultured onto a modified NiTi sample displayed significantly higher differentiation lev-els of alkaline phosphatase. The results suggested that surface functionalization of NiTi alloy with ceramic coating via the CPED technique was beneficial for cell proliferation and differentiation. The approach presented here is useful for NiTi implants to enhance bone osseointegration and reduce Ni ion release in vitro.展开更多

After modification, a re-melted layer without obvious pores and oxide stringers is formed, the gain size of re-melted layer is approximately 80–120 nm. Such beneficial result can be attributed to following effects: during CPE process, the plasma discharges with high temperature take place on the bond-coat surface. During cyclic oxidation, owing to the above modification of surface properties, the critical content of Al for selective oxidation is significantly decreased. 文摘Multilayered TiAlN/CrN coatings have been synthesized on stainless steel substrates by cathodic arc plasma deposition using TiAl and Cr targets.Influences of the bias voltage, cathode current ratio ITiAl/ICr,and deposition pressure on the hardness and friction coefficient of the coatings were investigated. The measurement revealed existence of two cubic phases,face-centercubic (Cr,Al)N and(Ti,Al)N,in the coatings deposited under various bias voltages except for the coating deposited at -400 V,which is amorphous. The hardness of the coatings was strongly dependent on the Itial/Icr ratio and deposition pressure, and reached a maximum of 33 GPa at an ITiAI/ICr ratio of 1.0 and a pressure of 1.0 Pa.The incorporation of the element chromium can reduce the density of pinholes in the coatings and assist the optimization of deposition conditions for high quality TiAlN/CrN coatings.

文摘A two-dimensional PIC/MCC model is developed to simulate the nitrogen radio frequency hollow cathode discharge(rf-HCD).It is found that both the sheath oscillation heating and the secondary electron heating together play a role to maintain the rf-HCD under the simulated conditions. The mean energy of ions(N+_2,N+)in the negative glow region is greater than the thermal kinetic energy of the molecular gas(N2),which is an important characteristic of rf-HCD.During the negative portion of the hollow electrode voltage cycle, electrons mainly follow pendulum movement and produce a large number of ionization collisions in the plasma region.During the positive voltage of the rf cycle, the axial electric field becomes stronger and its direction is pointing to the anode(substrate),therefore the ions move toward the anode(substrate)via the axial electric field acceleration.Compared with dc-HCD,rf-HCD is more suitable for serving as a plasma jet nozzle at low pressure.

文摘To reduce Ni ion release and improve biocompatibility of NiTi alloy, the cathodic plasma electrolytic deposition (CPED) technique was used to fabricate ceramic coating onto a NiTi alloy surface. The approach presented here is useful for NiTi implants to enhance bone osseointegration and reduce Ni ion release in vitro.
