The present compensation str...The development of venture capital has drawn much attention, and many qualitative analysis and discussions have been proposed. A quantitative model is proposed based upon Reputation Model. The present compensation structure of U. S. venture capital limited partnerships is analyzed and a kind of new compensation structure is proposed. The relations between the venture capitalist’ s effort level and the two compensation structures are given . The comparison of analytical results proves that the present compensation structure in U.S. may not be the best choice, and that the proposed one can give a better motivation for venture capitalist’s management action.展开更多

By constructing a new incentive model, this paper provides the reference for investors to establish a reasonable payment contract. The designed incentive contract is a kind of dominant consecutive payment mode, which plays a strong incentive role to the VCs, in addition, it also requires the VCs to invest certain capital to the project, which can effectively prevent the slapdash action of VCs, and reduce the agent cost of investors.展开更多

The model may be considered as a control system with taxation as the control. But it differs from conventional model of control systems. It has some significant characters of complex systems. The system is described and studied by combining the mathematical formulas with computer simulations. Several related concepts as ″output″ and ″control″ etc. are reconsidered from new view-points. Via this problem we explore some phenomenon in controlled complex systems.展开更多

The African continent habituated with volatile conflicts and protracted violence,be it intra-state or inter-state is also acquainted with multi-ethnic tensions breeding different militias.The trend,although not new,is...The African continent habituated with volatile conflicts and protracted violence,be it intra-state or inter-state is also acquainted with multi-ethnic tensions breeding different militias.The trend,although not new,is the expanding phenomenon of Jihadism and general terrorism.Some of these and other forms of conflicts summarize the geopolitics of Africa’s Great Lakes Region(AGLR).The bloodbath wherein the subregion engrosses itself is not solely guided by political considerations.Both endogenous and exogenous capitalist economic profit have stirred the system while ethnic politics and politics on ethnic leanings have amplified the scenario.The endeavors of both the international community and regional blocs appear deficient-a consequence of the frailty of the UN system and general multilateralism.Peace is possible for AGLR when humanity is placed over the tidal wave of capitalist profit,patriotism over toxic ethnicity and respect is accorded to international jurisprudence emblemed by the bona fide principle of pacta sunt Servanda,without neglecting the capacity of the youth and peace education.展开更多
