Architectural Benevolent Builders (ABB): A global system automating integration of structured and semistructured sources

We investigate highly sophisticated mechanisms that merge and automate interoperability of heterogeneous traditional information systems together with the World Wide Web as one world. In particular, we introduce the ABB system that employs most of the Benevolent Builders (BB) which are assertions, integration rules, ABB network graph and agents to activate the components’ versatility to reconcile the semantics involved in data sharing in order to withstand the terrific dynamic computer technology in the present and future information age. The ABB is a global application system with its operation covering local databases to the Internet. The first three BB are passive objects, whereas, the agent has a strong versatility to perceive events, perform actions, communicate, make commitments, and satisfy claims. Due to the BB’s power of intelligence, ABB also has the capability to filter out and process only the relevant operational sources like preferences (i.e. customer’s interest) from the sites. The ABB’s richness in knowledge and flexibility to accommodate various data models, manages to link: system to system or firm to firm regardless of the field such as: engineering, insurance, medical, space science, and education, to mention a few. 展开更多

The development of various surfactants (e.g., anionic, nonionic, cationic, zwitterionic, and silicone surfactants) and builders (inorganic, organic and polymeric builders)used in the detergent compositions are reviewed and their detergency performance and biodegradability are discussed. In the future, the development of the surfactants and builders used in detergent compositions should be based on economic and environmental considerations. The use of the eco-friendly surfactants and builders derived from inexpensive renewable resources (e.g., alkyl polyglucosides and bio-based polyesters) in detergent compositions is the developing trends in detergent industry. 展开更多

基于高品质住宅目标下寒冷地区不同阳台形式设计应用研究

长期以来,在寒冷地区,阳台设计的实用性与美观性都十分割裂,为了保证室内热环境的舒适,阳台型式往往被忽略。但随着国家提出发展高品质住宅的要求,阳台作为住宅不可或缺的一部分也重新得到重视。在确保住宅热环境舒适的前提下,通过研究... 长期以来,在寒冷地区,阳台设计的实用性与美观性都十分割裂,为了保证室内热环境的舒适,阳台型式往往被忽略。但随着国家提出发展高品质住宅的要求,阳台作为住宅不可或缺的一部分也重新得到重视。在确保住宅热环境舒适的前提下,通过研究确定寒冷地区住宅相匹配的阳台形式,提升住宅品质与价值十分关键。通过案例分析以及运用建筑能耗动态模拟软件Designbuilder对不同住宅阳台类型与户型搭配进行模拟。结果表明;阳台在住宅中所占的面积比随着住宅面积的增加而降低且对于所有阳台类型,随着住宅面积的增加,稳态热损失和设计容量均呈现出增加趋势。综上所述,住宅本身及其周围环境品质越高,阳台设计越适合选择高开放性的形式。当住宅密度较高,价格较低时,阳台设计更适宜私密度好的高封闭性形式。 展开更多

DLG全要素更新中等高线数据以矢量线格式存储,在成果质量检查中会存在线悬挂、线相交、自重叠、自相交、伪节点等拓扑错误和高程值不等于最小等高距整倍数以及高程趋势性不合理等属性错误。现有的一些软件在等高线质量检查中会存在较多误报,尤其在等高线高程趋势性检查中误报率较高,导致人工复查工作量大、作业效率低。因此,本文提出了一种在GIS环境下的等高线数据质量检查算法,并基于ArcGIS的Model Builder模型构建器,对算法进行了实现,开发了可视化检查工具,选取实验区对算法进行了验证。结果表明,该方法能够准确查找出等高线数据质量问题区域,有效提高作业效率。 展开更多

为研究不同建筑围护结构保温性能及其对建筑节能效果的影响,利用Design Builder软件建立物理模型,分析了不同非透明结构保温层厚度与其传热系数间关系、传热系数与建筑各项节能率间关系,结果表明:外墙传热系数随保温层厚度的增加而下降... 为研究不同建筑围护结构保温性能及其对建筑节能效果的影响,利用Design Builder软件建立物理模型,分析了不同非透明结构保温层厚度与其传热系数间关系、传热系数与建筑各项节能率间关系,结果表明:外墙传热系数随保温层厚度的增加而下降,下降速度逐渐减缓,为提高保温性能,其保护层厚度应≮0.4 m;屋面传热系数随保温层厚度的增加呈下降趋势,当保温层厚度<0.1 m时,对屋面保温性能影响最大;当楼板传热系数>0.9 W·m^(-2)·K^(-1)时,各项节能率基本相同,节能率与传热系数几乎呈线型下降关系;内墙传热系数随保温材料厚度的增加呈线性下降趋势,保温层厚度增加0.0035 m,传热系数将下降0.1 W·m^(-2)·K^(-1)。 展开更多

Impact of Building Materials for the Facade on Energy Consumption and Carbon Emissions (Case Study of Residential Buildings in Tehran)

Although currently,a large part of the existing buildings is considered inefficient in terms of energy,the ability to save energy consumption up to 80%has been proven in residential and commercial buildings.Also,carbon dioxide is one of the most important greenhouse gases contributing to climate change and is responsible for 60%of global warming.The facade of the building,as the main intermediary between the interior and exterior spaces,plays a significant role in adjusting the weather conditions and providing thermal comfort to the residents.In this research,715 different scenarios were defined with the combination of various types of construction materials,and the effect of each of these scenarios on the process of energy loss from the surface of the external walls of the building during the operation period was determined.In the end,these scenarios were compared during a one-year operation period,and the amount of energy consumption in each of these scenarios was calculated.Also,bymeasuring the amount of carbon emissions in buildings during the operation period and before that,let’s look at practical methods to reduce the effects of the construction industry on the environment.By comparing the research findings,it can be seen that the ranking of each scenario in terms of total energy consumption is not necessarily the same as the ranking of energy consumption for gas consumption or electricity consumption for the same scenario.That is,choosing the optimal scenario depends on the type of energy consumed in the building.Finally,we determined the scenarios with the lowest and highest amounts of embodied and operational carbon.In the end,we obtained the latent carbon compensation period for each scenario.This article can help designers and construction engineers optimize the energy consumption of buildings by deciding on the right materials. 展开更多

Residential homes account for the largest share of carbon emissions in the UK.Making new homes and existing ones more sustainable is essential to achieving the legally binding target of 80%reduction in carbon emissions by 2050.Small builders have an important role to play in this regard.They usually carry out the majority of refurbishment work of existing houses and small scale new build devel-opments.Their attitudes toward,and knowledge of sustainable homes are crucial to the overall success of the UK’s sustainable development strategy.Despite numer-ous government initiatives in recent years,the uptake of sustainable home building methods is still low.The aim of this study is to investigate the problem from small builders’perspective by examining their current practice and their opinions.Data are collected through an on-line questionnaire survey.Analysis of the results reveals that there is an elementary level of awareness amongst small builders as far as sus-tainable building is concerned.However,the level of their knowledge is still limited and their attitudes toward sustainable homes are diverse and ambivalent.More efforts are needed to promote sustainable building methods,particularly amongst small builders. 展开更多

为解决3维变压器磁场有限元仿真计算效率低的问题,提出基于本征正交分解法的磁场降阶模型与基于二次多项式的损耗响应面模型。以1台110 kV变压器为算例,首先建立了考虑绕组涡流损耗的变压器磁场仿真模型,通过仿真分析了其在额定工况下... 为解决3维变压器磁场有限元仿真计算效率低的问题,提出基于本征正交分解法的磁场降阶模型与基于二次多项式的损耗响应面模型。以1台110 kV变压器为算例,首先建立了考虑绕组涡流损耗的变压器磁场仿真模型,通过仿真分析了其在额定工况下的磁场及损耗分布;其次,通过仿真试验设计获取了多组工况下的磁场与损耗数据,在Twin Builder中训练得到变压器磁场的各降阶模块;最后,搭建面向数字孪生应用的变压器3维磁场降阶模型,实现了变压器磁场损耗的快速计算与云图分布的可视化。与计算单数据相比,仿真结果考虑了涡流效应的绕组损耗在靠近端部时有明显升高,最大值分别出现在高、低压绕组两端,约为绕组中部损耗的1.3~1.65倍。基于该磁场结果建立的降阶模型在计算效率方面较全阶模型有显著提升,将实际仿真时间缩短至0.76s,可满足数字孪生应用场景下的磁场快速计算需求。 展开更多

In this work,Digital Twins based on Neural Networks for the steady state production of styrene were generated.Thus,both the Aspen Technology AI Model Builder(alternative 1)and a homemade MS Excel VBA code connected to Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Plus(alternative 2)were used with this same aim.The raw data used for generating the Digital Twins were obtained from process simulations using Aspen HYSYS and/or Aspen Plus,which were connected through a recycle-like stream via automation for solving the entire simulation flowsheet.Aspen HYSYS was used for solving the pre-heating,reaction,and stabilization sections of the process whereas Aspen Plus ensured the computing of the separation and purification columns.Both alternatives led to an excellent prediction showing the capability of creating Digital Twins from and for process simulation. 展开更多
