This paper presents a new scenario called virtual cutting in the context of the transfer matrix method of linear multibody systems closed- loop topology for computing the free vibration characteristics of elastically coupled flexible launch vehicle boosters. In this approach, the coupled system is idealized as a triple-beam system-like structure coupled by linear translational springs, where a non-uniform free-free Euler-Bemoulli beam is used. A large thrust-to-weight ratio leads to large axial accelera- tions that result in an axial inertia load distribution from nose to tail. Consequently, it causes the development of significant compressive forces along the length of the launch vehicle. Therefore, it is important to take into account this effect in the transverse vibration model. This scenario does not need the global dynamics equations of a system, and it has high computational efficiency and low memory requirements. The validity of the presented scenario is achieved through com- parison to other approaches published in the literature.展开更多

Since homeopathy is a branch of medicine that includes not only herbal preparations, but also chemical ingredients, our newly developed patent—although it belongs to the field of homeopathy—is its offshoot aimed solely at maintaining the body’s strength without harming it, increasing the survival of the body in a polluted environment removing toxins from the body by strengthening adaptive immune mechanisms. Thus, thyme, cumin, oregano, licorice, and other natural resources of the earth, which are the basis of our patent, successfully fight cold and diseases of the upper respiratory tract. The newly emerged variants of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) demonstrate resistance to presenttherapeutic antibodies as well as the capability to evade vaccination-elicited antibodies. JN...The newly emerged variants of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) demonstrate resistance to presenttherapeutic antibodies as well as the capability to evade vaccination-elicited antibodies. JN.1 sublineages were demonstrated as oneof the most immune-evasive variants, showing higher neutralization resistance compared to XBB.1.5. In this study, serum sampleswere collected from adult participants including those who had gone through the BA.5/BF.7, EG.5/HK.3 and XBB/JN.1 infectionwaves, characterized by different infection and vaccination histories. We evaluated the neutralization in these serum samples againstpseudoviruses of Omicron lineages. We further investigated humoral immune response of recombinant XBB vaccines againstOmicron variants and estimated the neutralization resistance of JN.1 sublineages, including KP.2 and KP.3. Our results showed thatsera from previous circulating Omicron subvariant breakthrough infections exhibited low neutralization against pseudoviruses ofOmicron lineages. The GMTs of 50% neutralization against all tested pseudoviruses were significantly elevated in sera fromindividuals who received WSK-V102C or WSK-V102D boosters. Importantly, the GMTs of 50% neutralization in serum samples fromindividuals 4 months after a WSK-V102D booster against XBB.1.5, JN.1, JN.1.13, KP.2 and KP.3 pseudoviruses were 3479, 1684, 1397,1247 and 1298, with 9.86-, 9.79-, 8.73-, 8.66- and 8.16-fold increase compared to those without booster, respectively, indicating thatboosting with XBB.1.5 subunit vaccines still induced strong antibody responses against JN.1 sublineages. However, JN.1 sublineages,including KP.2 and KP.3, revealed more than 2-fold decreases in neutralizing antibody titers compared to XBB.1.5, suggestingsignificantly enhanced neutralization evasion and the necessity of boosters based on JN.1, KP.2 or KP.3.展开更多

The ways in which researchers present the results of their research and make claims about them are determined by the conventions of academic writing held by the scientific community.This article examines the use of he...The ways in which researchers present the results of their research and make claims about them are determined by the conventions of academic writing held by the scientific community.This article examines the use of hedges and boosters in the published articles of PhD students in a Moroccan university,and to what extent these students are conscious of their semantic and pragmatic meanings and use them adequately following established conventions.Textual analysis was implemented to study the use of these discourse markers in the published articles.We additionally carried out qualitative and quantitative research in the form of questionnaires and semi-structured interviews to gain a better understanding of hedge and booster use.While the students may use hedges in contexts in which the results are deemed uncertain and unsatisfactory,expressing conviction through boosters is a common practice.These results indicate a lack of appropriate adherence to academic conventions and that cultural influences and other contextual variables are in play.Thus,revising textbooks and methodologies in Moroccan universities based on scientific data and conventions is required.展开更多
The therapeutic efficacy and safety of mRNA-based drugs in immunological and nonimmunological applications are critically dependent on the translated protein yield,which requires precise modulation of mRNA expression ...The therapeutic efficacy and safety of mRNA-based drugs in immunological and nonimmunological applications are critically dependent on the translated protein yield,which requires precise modulation of mRNA expression kinetics.Among the factors influencing mRNA translation,immunogenicity and stability are pivotal in determining the longevity of protein production.Current optimization strategies have integrated(1)molecular engineering(e.g.,modified nucleotides),(2)advanced delivery systems(e.g.,lipid nanoparticles),and(3)adjuvant drug synergy.This review focuses on co-delivered adjuvant drugs and introduces the concept of"mRNA translation boosters"for the first time.mRNA translation boosters are classified as small-molecule compounds and macromolecular agents that improve translational fidelity through mechanisms including blockade of pattern recognition receptors,modulation of inflammatory cascades,facilitation of endosomal escape,and protection against enzymatic degradation.As clinically validated with COVID-19 mRNA vaccines,these boosters have now demonstrated expanded utility in gene editing therapies and protein replacement applications.This review addresses the immunological challenges encountered during mRNA transfection and translation while summarizing existing mRNA translation boosters that optimize protein expression kinetics.By establishing a mechanistic framework for booster selection and employment,this work provides translational guidance for advancing nucleic acid therapeutics towards their maximum clinical potential.展开更多
Objective:To examine the change in COVID-19 booster vaccine hesitancy according to descriptive characteristics,characteristics related to COVID-19,health literacy(HL)skills related to booster dose.Methods:The inclusio...Objective:To examine the change in COVID-19 booster vaccine hesitancy according to descriptive characteristics,characteristics related to COVID-19,health literacy(HL)skills related to booster dose.Methods:The inclusion criterion was the completion of the primary scheme as two doses of COVID-19 vaccine.The study was conducted in January 2022 by applying face-to-face interview technique.Questions regarding HL were used to question the ability of individuals to access,understand,interpret and use information regarding the COVID-19 booster dose in their decisions.Results:A total of 1210 people were included in this study with an mean age of(41.3±16.6)years,and 51.4%were women.In multivariate analysis,hesitation increased in the"moderately concerned"(aOR 2.65,95%CI 1.09-6.45),"slightly concerned"(aOR 3.01,95%CI 1.26-7.19),"not concerned at all”(aOR 5.69,95%CI 2.27-14.28)groups compared to the group“extremely concerned”about COVID-19 transmission.Those with Sinovac-CoronaVac as their most recent vaccine had increased hesitation compared to those with Pfizer-BioNTech(aOR 3.68,95%CI 2.05-6.61).The effect of HL skills including“accessing”,“understanding”,and“appraising”information on hesitation was not statistically significant(P>0.05).HL skill of“applying”was assessed with ability of information to help decision making.Whether the information is helpful for decision-making,the risk of hesitancy increased for those who stated that it"sometimes helps"(aOR 2.55;95%CI 1.31-4.99)and"never helps"(aOR 11.62;95%CI 3.03-44.58)compared to those who stated that it"always helps".Conclusions:The increased propability of hesitation in those less concerned about COVID-19 transmission shows the importance of appropriately guiding individuals'concern levels with a health communication strategy based on risk communication.The fact that the only HL skill with a significant effect in the multivariate model was“applying”,shows the critical role of this skill in influencing behavioral changes.展开更多

Accurately identifying building distribution from remote sensing images with complex background information is challenging.The emergence of diffusion models has prompted the innovative idea of employing the reverse de...Accurately identifying building distribution from remote sensing images with complex background information is challenging.The emergence of diffusion models has prompted the innovative idea of employing the reverse denoising process to distill building distribution from these complex backgrounds.Building on this concept,we propose a novel framework,building extraction diffusion model(BEDiff),which meticulously refines the extraction of building footprints from remote sensing images in a stepwise fashion.Our approach begins with the design of booster guidance,a mechanism that extracts structural and semantic features from remote sensing images to serve as priors,thereby providing targeted guidance for the diffusion process.Additionally,we introduce a cross-feature fusion module(CFM)that bridges the semantic gap between different types of features,facilitating the integration of the attributes extracted by booster guidance into the diffusion process more effectively.Our proposed BEDiff marks the first application of diffusion models to the task of building extraction.Empirical evidence from extensive experiments on the Beijing building dataset demonstrates the superior performance of BEDiff,affirming its effectiveness and potential for enhancing the accuracy of building extraction in complex urban landscapes.展开更多

The fuel itself is a solid grain, (often paraffin or hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene, known as HTPB) while the oxidizing ...A hybrid rocket motor combines components from both solid fuel and liquid fuel rocket motors. The fuel itself is a solid grain, (often paraffin or hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene, known as HTPB) while the oxidizing agent is liquid (often hydrogen peroxide or liquid oxygen). These components are combined in the fuel chamber which doubles as the combustion chamber for the hybrid motor. This review looks at the advances in techniques that have taken place in the development of these motors since 1995. Methods of testing the thrust from rocket motors and of measuring the rocket plume spectroscopically for combustion reaction products have been developed. These assessments allow researchers to more completely understand the effects of additives and physical changes in design, in terms of regression rates and thrust developed. Hybrid rocket motors have been used or tested in many areas of rocketry, including tactical rockets and large launch vehicles. Several additives have shown significant improvements in regression rates and thrust, including Guanidinium azotetrazolate (GAT), and various Aluminum alloys. The most recent discoveries have come from research into nano-particle additives. The nano-particles have been shown to provide enhancements to many parameters of hybrid rocket function, and research into specific areas continues in the sub-field of nano-additives for fuel grains.展开更多
Studies based on AC high voltage tests have been done at Cepel to investigate the performance of 800 kV busbar insulators under heavy wetting conditions.Insulators were tested which are now used on site and also with ...Studies based on AC high voltage tests have been done at Cepel to investigate the performance of 800 kV busbar insulators under heavy wetting conditions.Insulators were tested which are now used on site and also with different configurations of booster sheds.Images recorded by ultra-violet(UV) camera were used to help the investigations on the effectiveness of booster sheds.By comparing UV images of the insulator being stressed with high voltage under heavy artificial rain,with and without booster sheds,it was possible to observe how significant the reduction on the flashover formation process was when booster sheds were used.The effectiveness of booster sheds was also quantified by determining the disruptive discharge of the insulator with and without them.The results of these studies can also be considered as contribution to national and international standard technical committees to improving the standardized procedure for tests on ultra high voltage(UHV) insulators under heavy rain.Subjects such as the clear definition of relevant UHV test procedure and test arrangements,including the use of UV camera,have to be taken into account.展开更多
In this paper,a wireless energy-harvested ultra-high frequency(UHF)wireless sensor network(WSN)tag is designed and implemented for cellular Io T applications.The WSN tag is made up of a wireless energy harvesting circ...In this paper,a wireless energy-harvested ultra-high frequency(UHF)wireless sensor network(WSN)tag is designed and implemented for cellular Io T applications.The WSN tag is made up of a wireless energy harvesting circuit,a temperature sensing circuit,and a radio frequency identification(RFID)tag.The developed WSN tag is compatible with the ISO/IEC18000-6C protocol.The WSN tag can receive the GSM RF energy operating in China GSM900 and GSM1800 bands in the surrounding environment and the solar energy,then converts the RF energy to direct current(DC)by schottky diode-based rectifying circuit,and finally stores the DC energy in a supercapacitor through a DC-DC booster circuit.The DC-DC booster circuit drives the front-end circuit,TI MSP430 microcontroller,temperature sensing circuit,and other active circuits in the tag.The MSP430 works in low-power mode when it is powered up,and it can also reduce power consumption more by reducing main clock(MCLK)frequency according to different forward link rates.The implemented WSN tag demonstrated that the RF-to-DC conversion efficiency is higher than 39% when the receiving 900 MHz RF signal power is from -14 dBm to 0 dBm and could make the tag work normally.The signal receiving sensitivity of the WSN tag is up to-32 dBm at the rate of 40 kbit/s from the Reader to the WSN tag.The WSN tag supports Miller coding and extended Miller coding.This wireless energy harvested UHF WSN tag,compared with conventional UHF passive tags and battery-powered active UHF RFID Tags,has many advantages,such as far communication distance,long service life,and sensing functionality.It will have wide applications in the Internet of Things(IoT).展开更多

文摘Accurately identifying building distribution from remote sensing images with complex background information is challenging.The emergence of diffusion models has prompted the innovative idea of employing the reverse denoising process to distill building distribution from these complex backgrounds.Building on this concept,we propose a novel framework,building extraction diffusion model(BEDiff),which meticulously refines the extraction of building footprints from remote sensing images in a stepwise fashion.Our approach begins with the design of booster guidance,a mechanism that extracts structural and semantic features from remote sensing images to serve as priors,thereby providing targeted guidance for the diffusion process.Additionally,we introduce a cross-feature fusion module(CFM)that bridges the semantic gap between different types of features,facilitating the integration of the attributes extracted by booster guidance into the diffusion process more effectively.Our proposed BEDiff marks the first application of diffusion models to the task of building extraction.Empirical evidence from extensive experiments on the Beijing building dataset demonstrates the superior performance of BEDiff,affirming its effectiveness and potential for enhancing the accuracy of building extraction in complex urban landscapes.
文摘A hybrid rocket motor combines components from both solid fuel and liquid fuel rocket motors. The fuel itself is a solid grain, (often paraffin or hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene, known as HTPB) while the oxidizing agent is liquid (often hydrogen peroxide or liquid oxygen). These components are combined in the fuel chamber which doubles as the combustion chamber for the hybrid motor. This review looks at the advances in techniques that have taken place in the development of these motors since 1995. Methods of testing the thrust from rocket motors and of measuring the rocket plume spectroscopically for combustion reaction products have been developed. These assessments allow researchers to more completely understand the effects of additives and physical changes in design, in terms of regression rates and thrust developed. Hybrid rocket motors have been used or tested in many areas of rocketry, including tactical rockets and large launch vehicles. Several additives have shown significant improvements in regression rates and thrust, including Guanidinium azotetrazolate (GAT), and various Aluminum alloys. The most recent discoveries have come from research into nano-particle additives. The nano-particles have been shown to provide enhancements to many parameters of hybrid rocket function, and research into specific areas continues in the sub-field of nano-additives for fuel grains.
文摘Studies based on AC high voltage tests have been done at Cepel to investigate the performance of 800 kV busbar insulators under heavy wetting conditions.Insulators were tested which are now used on site and also with different configurations of booster sheds.Images recorded by ultra-violet(UV) camera were used to help the investigations on the effectiveness of booster sheds.By comparing UV images of the insulator being stressed with high voltage under heavy artificial rain,with and without booster sheds,it was possible to observe how significant the reduction on the flashover formation process was when booster sheds were used.The effectiveness of booster sheds was also quantified by determining the disruptive discharge of the insulator with and without them.The results of these studies can also be considered as contribution to national and international standard technical committees to improving the standardized procedure for tests on ultra high voltage(UHV) insulators under heavy rain.Subjects such as the clear definition of relevant UHV test procedure and test arrangements,including the use of UV camera,have to be taken into account.

文摘In this paper,a wireless energy-harvested ultra-high frequency(UHF)wireless sensor network(WSN)tag is designed and implemented for cellular Io T applications.The WSN tag is made up of a wireless energy harvesting circuit,a temperature sensing circuit,and a radio frequency identification(RFID)tag.The developed WSN tag is compatible with the ISO/IEC18000-6C protocol.The WSN tag can receive the GSM RF energy operating in China GSM900 and GSM1800 bands in the surrounding environment and the solar energy,then converts the RF energy to direct current(DC)by schottky diode-based rectifying circuit,and finally stores the DC energy in a supercapacitor through a DC-DC booster circuit.The DC-DC booster circuit drives the front-end circuit,TI MSP430 microcontroller,temperature sensing circuit,and other active circuits in the tag.The MSP430 works in low-power mode when it is powered up,and it can also reduce power consumption more by reducing main clock(MCLK)frequency according to different forward link rates.The implemented WSN tag demonstrated that the RF-to-DC conversion efficiency is higher than 39% when the receiving 900 MHz RF signal power is from -14 dBm to 0 dBm and could make the tag work normally.The signal receiving sensitivity of the WSN tag is up to-32 dBm at the rate of 40 kbit/s from the Reader to the WSN tag.The WSN tag supports Miller coding and extended Miller coding.This wireless energy harvested UHF WSN tag,compared with conventional UHF passive tags and battery-powered active UHF RFID Tags,has many advantages,such as far communication distance,long service life,and sensing functionality.It will have wide applications in the Internet of Things(IoT).
