The existing systems sustained with the investments made require more automation and digital transformation with the continuous advancement of tech-nology.The aviation industry is a sector that is open to more automat...The existing systems sustained with the investments made require more automation and digital transformation with the continuous advancement of tech-nology.The aviation industry is a sector that is open to more automation and digi-tal transformation,mainly because of the intense competition and the analysis of a large variety of data.The long duration of operations in current airline processes and some processflows cause customer dissatisfaction and cost increase.In this study,the boarding process,which is one of the operational processes of airline transportation and is open to improvement,was discussed.The classical boarding process has been redesigned using Internet of Things technology a model called Boarding 4.0 was created.With Boarding 4.0,it is aimed to design a process where passengers can take their time before boarding more efficiently.In the study,the sub-processes of the Boarding 4.0 model,other processes that the sub-processes interact with,their activities,and data exchange passenger move-ments during the activities are explained in detail.Compared to the classical boarding process and Boarding 4.0 with the fuzzy ahp technique,it has been shown that boarding 4.0 is more advantageous and passenger movement times can be reduced during boarding.As a result of the evaluation made with the fuzzy ahp,it was determined that boarding 4.0 is more advantageous than the classical boarding process.In addition,when the total time of the sub-activities in the board-ing process is calculated,boarding activities for a passenger take 50 min with the classic boarding process and 20 min with Boarding 4.0.Thus,when Boarding 4.0 is used,the passenger gains 30 min.Furthermore,when the calculation is made concerning the airport’s current capacity,two passengers are hosted with the clas-sical boarding process,whilefive passengers are hosted with Boarding 4.0.This acquisition is significant for airports in terms of efficient use of resources.展开更多

This study conducted controlled experiments and developed a modified force-based model to investigate the dynamics of pedestrian counterflow at bottlenecks, utilizing subway passenger alighting and boarding as a case study. Specifically, the efficiency and safety of three distinct movement modes: the cooperative mode(Coop), the combination of cooperative and competitive mode(C & C), and the competitive mode(Comp), were examined and compared. The experimental findings revealed that the C & C mode exhibited a clear lane formation phenomenon and demonstrated a higher flow rate than the Comp and Coop modes. This observation suggests that a combination of cooperative and competitive behaviors among pedestrians can positively enhance traffic efficiency and safety during the alighting and boarding process. In contrast, pedestrians exhibited increased detouring in their paths and more fluctuating trajectories in the Comp mode. Additionally, a questionnaire survey assessing the level of competition and cooperation among pedestrians provided a comprehensive analysis of the psychological dynamics of passengers during the alighting and boarding activities. Lastly, the proposed force-based model was calibrated and validated, demonstrating a good performance in accurately replicating the overall characteristics of the experimental process. Overall, this study offers valuable insights into enhancing the pedestrian traffic efficiency and safety within subway systems.展开更多
This work’s goal was to compile a list of fishing-related violations in order to suggest ways to enhance the surveillance system.In order to accomplish this goal,the following approach was used:Executive consultation...This work’s goal was to compile a list of fishing-related violations in order to suggest ways to enhance the surveillance system.In order to accomplish this goal,the following approach was used:Executive consultation and archive exploitation;surveillance agent survey;surveillance system identification and description;identification of offenses and fleet involved in the Guinean exclusive and economic area in recent years;identification and categorization of offense causes;surveillance system evaluation;and suggestion for enhanced surveillance system measures.Monitoring of this strategy showed that:fishing operating zones,administrative paperwork,and fishing gear are all linked to the infractions committed in the Guinean exclusive and economic zone.Records show that there were 308 boardings between 2006 and 2021.IP(Intellectual Property)infringement rates are 59%,Motorized Artisanal Fishing is 25%,and Semi-industrial fishing is 16%.In Motorized Artisanal Fishing,the Guineans have committed 33,the Senegalese have committed 23,and the Leonese have committed 18.In Semi-industrial fishing,the Chinese have committed 17 and the Senegalese have committed 16.According to the stakeholder survey,Vessal Monitoring System monitored 79 vessels in industrial fishing and 49 in Semi-industrial fishing in 2021.Registration certificates,personnel,rescue gear,gross tonnage,coastal state fishing authority,and maritime radio license are typically the primary documents examined at sea.From 2006 to 2022,a total of 135 fleets-80 demersal trawlers,7 cephalopod boats,21 shrimp boats,22 pelagic trawlers,and 5 cargo ships-were implicated in violations in the Guinean exclusive and economic area.By integrating the automatic identification system and Vessal Monitoring systems for fisheries surveillance,establishing a marking system for fishing gear,investing in highly effective launches,and protecting the privacy of patrol activities,Guinea’s surveillance system might be improved more effectively.展开更多
Cruciferous vegetables are important edible vegetable crops.However,they are susceptible to various pests during their growth process,which requires real-time and accurate monitoring of these pests for pest forecastin...Cruciferous vegetables are important edible vegetable crops.However,they are susceptible to various pests during their growth process,which requires real-time and accurate monitoring of these pests for pest forecasting and scientific control.Hanging yellow sticky boards is a common way to monitor and trap those pests which are attracted to the yellow color.To achieve real-time,low-cost,intelligent monitoring of these vegetable pests on the boards,we established an intelligent monitoring system consisting of a smart camera,a web platform and a pest detection algorithm deployed on a server.After the operator sets the monitoring preset points and shooting time of the camera on the system platform,the camera in the field can automatically collect images of multiple yellow sticky boards at fixed places and times every day.The pests trapped on the yellow sticky boards in vegetable fields,Plutella xylostella,Phyllotreta striolata and flies,are very small and susceptible to deterioration and breakage,which increases the difficulty of model detection.To solve the problem of poor recognition due to the small size and breaking of the pest bodies,we propose an intelligent pest detection algorithm based on an improved Cascade R-CNN model for three important cruciferous crop pests.The algorithm uses an overlapping sliding window method,an improved Res2Net network as the backbone network,and a recursive feature pyramid network as the neck network.The results of field tests show that the algorithm achieves good detection results for the three target pests on the yellow sticky board images,with precision levels of 96.5,92.2 and 75.0%,and recall levels of 96.6,93.1 and 74.7%,respectively,and an F_(1) value of 0.880.Compared with other algorithms,our algorithm has a significant advantage in its ability to detect small target pests.To accurately obtain the data for the newly added pests each day,a two-stage pest matching algorithm was proposed.The algorithm performed well and achieved results that were highly consistent with manual counting,with a mean error of only 2.2%.This intelligent monitoring system realizes precision,good visualization,and intelligent vegetable pest monitoring,which is of great significance as it provides an effective pest prevention and control option for farmers.展开更多

Aircraft are profitable to their owners as long as they are in the air transporting passengers to their destinations;therefore it is vital to minimize as much as possible their preparation time on the ground.In this p...Aircraft are profitable to their owners as long as they are in the air transporting passengers to their destinations;therefore it is vital to minimize as much as possible their preparation time on the ground.In this paper we simulate different boarding strategies with the help of a model based on cellular automata parallel computational tool,attempting to find the most efficient way to deliver each passenger to her/his assigned seat.Two seat arrangements are used,a small one based on Airbus A320/ Boeing 737 and a larger one based on Airbus A380/ Boeing777-300.A wide variety of parameters,including time delay for luggage storing,the frequency by which the passengers enter the plane,different walking speeds of passengers depending on sex,age and height,and the possibility of walking past their seat,are simulated in order to achieve realistic results,as well as monitor their effects on boarding time.The simulation results indicate that the boarding time can be significantly reduced by the simple grouping and prioritizing of passengers.In accordance with previous papers and the examined strategies,the outside-in and reverse pyramid boarding methods outperform all the others for both the small and large airplane seat layout.In the latter,the examined strategies are introduced for first time in an analogous way to the initial small seat arrangement of Airbus A320/ Boeing737 aircraft family.Moreover,since in real world scenarios,the compliance of all the passengers to the suggested group division and boarding strategy cannot be guaranteed,further simulations were conducted.It is clear that as the number of passengers disregarding the priority of the boarding groups increases,the time needed for the boarding to complete tends towards that of the random boarding strategy,thus minimizing the possible advantages gained by the proposed boarding strategies.展开更多
Atmospheric exposure tests including two experimental stages of high temperature-spraying water cycle and heating-refrigeration cycle were carried out on three currently used ETIS of expanded polystyrene(EPS) board,...Atmospheric exposure tests including two experimental stages of high temperature-spraying water cycle and heating-refrigeration cycle were carried out on three currently used ETIS of expanded polystyrene(EPS) board,polystyrene granule mortar and polyurethane foam in order to study the weatherablility of external thermal insulation system(ETIS).The change rules of adhesive strength were hereby studied at different time period of atmospheric exposure tests.The experimental results show that the adhesive strength of three kinds of ETIS changes a little during high temperature-spraying water cycle,but the adhesive strength of ETIS with EPS board decreases significantly after heating-refrigeration cycle.The lowering rate of adhesive strength with painting finishes is obviously faster than that of tile finishes for ETIS of EPS board during heating-refrigeration cycle.The weatherability of ETIS with EPS board is worse than the other two,and ETIS of polystyrene granule mortar and polyurethane foam are more suitable than ETIS of EPS board in cold area.展开更多
Triggered spark-gap switch is a popular discharge switch for pulse power systems.Previous studies have focused on planarizing this switch using thin film techniques in order to meet the requirements of compact size in...Triggered spark-gap switch is a popular discharge switch for pulse power systems.Previous studies have focused on planarizing this switch using thin film techniques in order to meet the requirements of compact size in the systems.Such switches are one-shot due to electrodes being too thin to sufficiently resist spark-erosion.Additionally,these switches did not employ any structures in securing internal gas composition,resulting in inconsistent performance under harsh atmospheres.In this work,a novel planar triggered spark-gap switch(PTS)with a hermetically sealed cavity was batched-prepared with printed circuit board(PCB)technology,to achieve reusability with low cost.The proposed PTS was inspected by micro-computed tomography to ensure PCB techniques meet the requirements of machining precision.The results from electrical experiments demonstrated that PCB PTS were consistent and reusable with lifespan over 20 times.The calculated switch voltage and circuit current were consistent with those derived from real-world measurements.Finally,PCB PTS was used to introduce hexanitrostilbene(HNS)pellets in a pulse power system to verify its performance.展开更多

In order to understand the passengers’ boarding process and mitigate passenger boarding time, a regression analysis framework is proposed to capture the difference and influential factors of boarding time for adult and elderly passengers based on smart card data from Changzhou. Boarding gap, the time difference between two consecutive smart card tapping records, is calculated to approximate passenger boarding time. Analysis of variance is applied to identify whether the difference in boarding time between adults and seniors is statistically significant. The multivariate regression modeling approach is implemented to analyze the influences of passenger types, marginal effects of each additional boarding passenger and bus floor types on the total boarding time at each stop. Results show that a constant difference exists in boarding time between adults and seniors even without considering the specific bus characteristics. The average passenger boarding time decreases when the number of passenger increases. The existence of two entrance steps delays the boarding process, especially for elderly passengers.展开更多

In PV plants, especially in ground installations...Photovoltaic (PV) systems have attracted increasing attention in last years as well as Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), which have been used in many application fields. In PV plants, especially in ground installations, a lot of thefts and damages occur due to the still high cost of the modules. A new experimental WSN ad-hoc has been designed to be an anti-theft alarm system. Each node of the network is directly installed under each PV string and it is equipped with an accelerometer sensor capable to detect a minimum displacement of the panel from its steady position. The WSN presents a star topology: a master node cyclically interrogates the slave nodes through RF link. It collects all the nodes responses and communicates though a RS-232 interface with a control PC checking the network status. When a slave node detects an alarm, continuous messages are sent to the control PC which turns on all the alarm signaling systems. The control PC is equipped with an open source operative system and software and provides for SMS, e-mail and sound-light signaling in case of alarm. It also communicates with a remote server where all the WSN information is stored. A first low cost experimental WSN has been already installed and it is working properly.展开更多
Objective:This study aims to identify the knowledge,attitude,and behavior of students using eight indicators of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior(CHLB)in relation to the health education and grade levels in Islamic Bo...Objective:This study aims to identify the knowledge,attitude,and behavior of students using eight indicators of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior(CHLB)in relation to the health education and grade levels in Islamic Boarding Schools(IBS)in Jember regency,East Java Province,Indonesia.Methods:A cross-sectional school-based survey design was used.About 114 students(mean age of 13.17 years old)selected through a multi-stage random sampling completed a selfadministered questionnaire to measure the eight indicators of CHLB,such as washing hands with running water and soap,eating healthy snacks,using clean and healthy latrines,exercising regularly and measurably,eradicating mosquito larvae,not smoking at school,weighing and height measurement every 6 months,and disposing garbage properly.The data analyses included descriptive and comparative analyses of the difference in knowledge,attitude,and behavior toward CHLB by health education and grade level.Results:About 66.7% students received health education.Significant knowledge in CHLB in relation to health education and grade was observed(P<.05),including in-depth knowledge of exercises,measurable weight and height,smoking,and healthy latrines.Meanwhile,no significant difference was observed between the attitude toward CHLB and health education in different grade levels.Furthermore,CHLB was associated with health education,including habitual exercise and using of clean and healthy latrines.展开更多

Such smart card technologies provide new opportunities...The smart card-based automated fare collection (AFC) system has become the main method for collecting urban bus and rail transit fares in many cities worldwide. Such smart card technologies provide new opportunities for transportation data collection since the transaction data obtained through AFC system contains a significant amount of archived information which can be gathered and leveraged to help estimate public transit origin–destination matrices. Boarding location detection is an important step particularly when there is no automatic vehicle location (AVL) system or GPS information in the database in some cases. With the analysis of raw data without AVL information in this paper, an algorithm for trip direction detection is built and the directions for any bus in operation can be confirmed. The transaction interval between each adjacent record will also be analyzed to detect the boarding clusters for all trips in sequence. Boarding stops will then be distributed with the help of route information and operation schedules. Finally, the feasibility and practicality of the methodology are tested using the bus transit smart card data collected in Guangzhou, China.展开更多
Our study describes the reported rate of the Institutional Review Board(IRB)approval,declaration of Helsinki(DoH),and informed consent in the case reports and case series and investigates factors associated with the e...Our study describes the reported rate of the Institutional Review Board(IRB)approval,declaration of Helsinki(DoH),and informed consent in the case reports and case series and investigates factors associated with the ethical approval report.We searched PubMed for case reports and case series from 2006 to 2017.Annually,we obtained the first 20 articles of a case report cluster from 20 distinct publications.This analysis initially contained at least 2400 papers,with 100 papers each study design and year.Only 26(5.4%)of 480 included studies reported IRB approval,DoH approval,and participant informed consent;58(12.1%)reported two out of three ethical statements(DoH,informed consent,IRB);and 151(31.5%)reported only one,leading to nearly 245 studies(51.0%)did not report any ethical approval item.Both clusters mentioned the DoH the least.Only years,ages,ethical item types,and cluster types were associated with ethical reporting practices.This study found the serious under‐reporting of ethical practices in both case reports and case series.展开更多

According to the purpose of the BESIII, the event rate will be about 4000 Hz and the data rate up to 50 Mbytes/sec after Level 1 trigger. The read-out subsystem consists of some read-out crates and a read-out computer whose function is to initialize the hardware, to collect the event data from the front-end electronics after Level 1 trigger, to transfer data fragments to the computer in online form through two levels of computer pre-processing and high-speed network transmission. In this model, the crate level read-out implementation is based on the commercial single board computer MVME5100 running the VxWorks operating system. The article outlines the structure of the crate level testing platform of hardware and software. It puts emphasis on the framework of the read-out test model, data process flow and test method at crate level. Especially, it enumerates the key technologies in the process of design and analyses the test results. In addition, results which summarize the performance of the single board computer from the data transferring aspects will be presented.展开更多

文摘This work’s goal was to compile a list of fishing-related violations in order to suggest ways to enhance the surveillance system.In order to accomplish this goal,the following approach was used:Executive consultation and archive exploitation;surveillance agent survey;surveillance system identification and description;identification of offenses and fleet involved in the Guinean exclusive and economic area in recent years;identification and categorization of offense causes;surveillance system evaluation;and suggestion for enhanced surveillance system measures.Monitoring of this strategy showed that:fishing operating zones,administrative paperwork,and fishing gear are all linked to the infractions committed in the Guinean exclusive and economic zone.Records show that there were 308 boardings between 2006 and 2021.IP(Intellectual Property)infringement rates are 59%,Motorized Artisanal Fishing is 25%,and Semi-industrial fishing is 16%.In Motorized Artisanal Fishing,the Guineans have committed 33,the Senegalese have committed 23,and the Leonese have committed 18.In Semi-industrial fishing,the Chinese have committed 17 and the Senegalese have committed 16.According to the stakeholder survey,Vessal Monitoring System monitored 79 vessels in industrial fishing and 49 in Semi-industrial fishing in 2021.Registration certificates,personnel,rescue gear,gross tonnage,coastal state fishing authority,and maritime radio license are typically the primary documents examined at sea.From 2006 to 2022,a total of 135 fleets-80 demersal trawlers,7 cephalopod boats,21 shrimp boats,22 pelagic trawlers,and 5 cargo ships-were implicated in violations in the Guinean exclusive and economic area.By integrating the automatic identification system and Vessal Monitoring systems for fisheries surveillance,establishing a marking system for fishing gear,investing in highly effective launches,and protecting the privacy of patrol activities,Guinea’s surveillance system might be improved more effectively.

文摘Cruciferous vegetables are important edible vegetable crops.However,they are susceptible to various pests during their growth process,which requires real-time and accurate monitoring of these pests for pest forecasting and scientific control.Hanging yellow sticky boards is a common way to monitor and trap those pests which are attracted to the yellow color.To achieve real-time,low-cost,intelligent monitoring of these vegetable pests on the boards,we established an intelligent monitoring system consisting of a smart camera,a web platform and a pest detection algorithm deployed on a server.After the operator sets the monitoring preset points and shooting time of the camera on the system platform,the camera in the field can automatically collect images of multiple yellow sticky boards at fixed places and times every day.The pests trapped on the yellow sticky boards in vegetable fields,Plutella xylostella,Phyllotreta striolata and flies,are very small and susceptible to deterioration and breakage,which increases the difficulty of model detection.To solve the problem of poor recognition due to the small size and breaking of the pest bodies,we propose an intelligent pest detection algorithm based on an improved Cascade R-CNN model for three important cruciferous crop pests.The algorithm uses an overlapping sliding window method,an improved Res2Net network as the backbone network,and a recursive feature pyramid network as the neck network.The results of field tests show that the algorithm achieves good detection results for the three target pests on the yellow sticky board images,with precision levels of 96.5,92.2 and 75.0%,and recall levels of 96.6,93.1 and 74.7%,respectively,and an F_(1) value of 0.880.Compared with other algorithms,our algorithm has a significant advantage in its ability to detect small target pests.To accurately obtain the data for the newly added pests each day,a two-stage pest matching algorithm was proposed.The algorithm performed well and achieved results that were highly consistent with manual counting,with a mean error of only 2.2%.This intelligent monitoring system realizes precision,good visualization,and intelligent vegetable pest monitoring,which is of great significance as it provides an effective pest prevention and control option for farmers.
文摘In the context of China’s rapidly evolving capital market,the proliferation of listed companies has been a salient phenomenon.The quality of corporate governance has emerged as a pivotal factor in determining the success or failure of these entities.Research by Balsmeier et al.(2022)indicates that the greater the independence of a listed company’s board of directors,the higher its innovation output(both in terms of quantity and quality of patents)^([1]).This finding suggests a strong correlation between the performance of a company and the independence of its board.The present study has selected listed companies on the A-share market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2013 as the subjects of its research.A sample of 960 companies was initially obtained from the CSMAR database.Following a rigorous financial data screening,a final sample of 944 valid companies was retained for further analysis.

文摘Metro passenger flow control problem is studied under given total inbound demand in this work,which considers passenger demand control and train capacity supply.Relevant connotations are analyzed and a mathematical model is developed.The decision variables are boarding limiting and stop-skipping strategies and the objective is the maximal passenger profit.And a passenger original station choice model based on utility theory is built to modify the inbound passenger distribution among stations.Algorithm of metro passenger flow control scheme is designed,where two key technologies of stopping-station choice and headway adjustment are given and boarding limiting and train stopping-station scheme are optimized.Finally,a real case of Beijing metro is taken for example to verify validity.The results show that in the three scenarios with different ratios of normal trains to stop-skipping trains,the total limited passenger volume is the smallest and the systematic profit is the largest in scenario 3.
文摘Aircraft are profitable to their owners as long as they are in the air transporting passengers to their destinations;therefore it is vital to minimize as much as possible their preparation time on the ground.In this paper we simulate different boarding strategies with the help of a model based on cellular automata parallel computational tool,attempting to find the most efficient way to deliver each passenger to her/his assigned seat.Two seat arrangements are used,a small one based on Airbus A320/ Boeing 737 and a larger one based on Airbus A380/ Boeing777-300.A wide variety of parameters,including time delay for luggage storing,the frequency by which the passengers enter the plane,different walking speeds of passengers depending on sex,age and height,and the possibility of walking past their seat,are simulated in order to achieve realistic results,as well as monitor their effects on boarding time.The simulation results indicate that the boarding time can be significantly reduced by the simple grouping and prioritizing of passengers.In accordance with previous papers and the examined strategies,the outside-in and reverse pyramid boarding methods outperform all the others for both the small and large airplane seat layout.In the latter,the examined strategies are introduced for first time in an analogous way to the initial small seat arrangement of Airbus A320/ Boeing737 aircraft family.Moreover,since in real world scenarios,the compliance of all the passengers to the suggested group division and boarding strategy cannot be guaranteed,further simulations were conducted.It is clear that as the number of passengers disregarding the priority of the boarding groups increases,the time needed for the boarding to complete tends towards that of the random boarding strategy,thus minimizing the possible advantages gained by the proposed boarding strategies.

文摘Atmospheric exposure tests including two experimental stages of high temperature-spraying water cycle and heating-refrigeration cycle were carried out on three currently used ETIS of expanded polystyrene(EPS) board,polystyrene granule mortar and polyurethane foam in order to study the weatherablility of external thermal insulation system(ETIS).The change rules of adhesive strength were hereby studied at different time period of atmospheric exposure tests.The experimental results show that the adhesive strength of three kinds of ETIS changes a little during high temperature-spraying water cycle,but the adhesive strength of ETIS with EPS board decreases significantly after heating-refrigeration cycle.The lowering rate of adhesive strength with painting finishes is obviously faster than that of tile finishes for ETIS of EPS board during heating-refrigeration cycle.The weatherability of ETIS with EPS board is worse than the other two,and ETIS of polystyrene granule mortar and polyurethane foam are more suitable than ETIS of EPS board in cold area.

文摘Triggered spark-gap switch is a popular discharge switch for pulse power systems.Previous studies have focused on planarizing this switch using thin film techniques in order to meet the requirements of compact size in the systems.Such switches are one-shot due to electrodes being too thin to sufficiently resist spark-erosion.Additionally,these switches did not employ any structures in securing internal gas composition,resulting in inconsistent performance under harsh atmospheres.In this work,a novel planar triggered spark-gap switch(PTS)with a hermetically sealed cavity was batched-prepared with printed circuit board(PCB)technology,to achieve reusability with low cost.The proposed PTS was inspected by micro-computed tomography to ensure PCB techniques meet the requirements of machining precision.The results from electrical experiments demonstrated that PCB PTS were consistent and reusable with lifespan over 20 times.The calculated switch voltage and circuit current were consistent with those derived from real-world measurements.Finally,PCB PTS was used to introduce hexanitrostilbene(HNS)pellets in a pulse power system to verify its performance.

文摘The EAST plasma control system (PCS) is in continuous development to satisfy the EAST experimental requirements. In order to realize low latency and distortion-free signal transmission between PCS and servo systems such as the poloidal field power supply, in-vessel coil power supply and real-time scope, reflective memory boards (RFM) were applied. The new hardware layout and enhanced performance are reported. Newly implemented PCS control algorithms for gas control and real-time data display are also presented.

文摘As an essential component of bus dwelling time, passenger boarding time has a significant impact on bus running reliability and service quality. In order to understand the passengers’ boarding process and mitigate passenger boarding time, a regression analysis framework is proposed to capture the difference and influential factors of boarding time for adult and elderly passengers based on smart card data from Changzhou. Boarding gap, the time difference between two consecutive smart card tapping records, is calculated to approximate passenger boarding time. Analysis of variance is applied to identify whether the difference in boarding time between adults and seniors is statistically significant. The multivariate regression modeling approach is implemented to analyze the influences of passenger types, marginal effects of each additional boarding passenger and bus floor types on the total boarding time at each stop. Results show that a constant difference exists in boarding time between adults and seniors even without considering the specific bus characteristics. The average passenger boarding time decreases when the number of passenger increases. The existence of two entrance steps delays the boarding process, especially for elderly passengers.
文摘Photovoltaic (PV) systems have attracted increasing attention in last years as well as Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), which have been used in many application fields. In PV plants, especially in ground installations, a lot of thefts and damages occur due to the still high cost of the modules. A new experimental WSN ad-hoc has been designed to be an anti-theft alarm system. Each node of the network is directly installed under each PV string and it is equipped with an accelerometer sensor capable to detect a minimum displacement of the panel from its steady position. The WSN presents a star topology: a master node cyclically interrogates the slave nodes through RF link. It collects all the nodes responses and communicates though a RS-232 interface with a control PC checking the network status. When a slave node detects an alarm, continuous messages are sent to the control PC which turns on all the alarm signaling systems. The control PC is equipped with an open source operative system and software and provides for SMS, e-mail and sound-light signaling in case of alarm. It also communicates with a remote server where all the WSN information is stored. A first low cost experimental WSN has been already installed and it is working properly.

文摘Objective:This study aims to identify the knowledge,attitude,and behavior of students using eight indicators of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior(CHLB)in relation to the health education and grade levels in Islamic Boarding Schools(IBS)in Jember regency,East Java Province,Indonesia.Methods:A cross-sectional school-based survey design was used.About 114 students(mean age of 13.17 years old)selected through a multi-stage random sampling completed a selfadministered questionnaire to measure the eight indicators of CHLB,such as washing hands with running water and soap,eating healthy snacks,using clean and healthy latrines,exercising regularly and measurably,eradicating mosquito larvae,not smoking at school,weighing and height measurement every 6 months,and disposing garbage properly.The data analyses included descriptive and comparative analyses of the difference in knowledge,attitude,and behavior toward CHLB by health education and grade level.Results:About 66.7% students received health education.Significant knowledge in CHLB in relation to health education and grade was observed(P<.05),including in-depth knowledge of exercises,measurable weight and height,smoking,and healthy latrines.Meanwhile,no significant difference was observed between the attitude toward CHLB and health education in different grade levels.Furthermore,CHLB was associated with health education,including habitual exercise and using of clean and healthy latrines.
文摘The splitter is an important component of water-based cooling systems used to extract heat from computer boards.In the present study,the flow characteristics of a 16-splitter structure were numerically simulated and compared with experimental results to verify the reliability of the numerical simulation method.Accordingly,the concept of splitter structural coefficients was proposed.Based on the results of this study,we recommend a selection range of 5≤k≤6 for the structure factor k of the splitter;after optimization,the maximum deviation of the splitter outlet flow was reduced from the original value of 100%to 8.3%.

文摘The smart card-based automated fare collection (AFC) system has become the main method for collecting urban bus and rail transit fares in many cities worldwide. Such smart card technologies provide new opportunities for transportation data collection since the transaction data obtained through AFC system contains a significant amount of archived information which can be gathered and leveraged to help estimate public transit origin–destination matrices. Boarding location detection is an important step particularly when there is no automatic vehicle location (AVL) system or GPS information in the database in some cases. With the analysis of raw data without AVL information in this paper, an algorithm for trip direction detection is built and the directions for any bus in operation can be confirmed. The transaction interval between each adjacent record will also be analyzed to detect the boarding clusters for all trips in sequence. Boarding stops will then be distributed with the help of route information and operation schedules. Finally, the feasibility and practicality of the methodology are tested using the bus transit smart card data collected in Guangzhou, China.
文摘Our study describes the reported rate of the Institutional Review Board(IRB)approval,declaration of Helsinki(DoH),and informed consent in the case reports and case series and investigates factors associated with the ethical approval report.We searched PubMed for case reports and case series from 2006 to 2017.Annually,we obtained the first 20 articles of a case report cluster from 20 distinct publications.This analysis initially contained at least 2400 papers,with 100 papers each study design and year.Only 26(5.4%)of 480 included studies reported IRB approval,DoH approval,and participant informed consent;58(12.1%)reported two out of three ethical statements(DoH,informed consent,IRB);and 151(31.5%)reported only one,leading to nearly 245 studies(51.0%)did not report any ethical approval item.Both clusters mentioned the DoH the least.Only years,ages,ethical item types,and cluster types were associated with ethical reporting practices.This study found the serious under‐reporting of ethical practices in both case reports and case series.

文摘This article describes the prototype of the read-out subsystem which will be subject to the BESIII data acquisition system. According to the purpose of the BESIII, the event rate will be about 4000 Hz and the data rate up to 50 Mbytes/sec after Level 1 trigger. The read-out subsystem consists of some read-out crates and a read-out computer whose function is to initialize the hardware, to collect the event data from the front-end electronics after Level 1 trigger, to transfer data fragments to the computer in online form through two levels of computer pre-processing and high-speed network transmission. In this model, the crate level read-out implementation is based on the commercial single board computer MVME5100 running the VxWorks operating system. The article outlines the structure of the crate level testing platform of hardware and software. It puts emphasis on the framework of the read-out test model, data process flow and test method at crate level. Especially, it enumerates the key technologies in the process of design and analyses the test results. In addition, results which summarize the performance of the single board computer from the data transferring aspects will be presented.
