BACKGROUND In recent years, numerous reports have been published regarding the relationship between the gut microbiota and the tumor immune microenvironment(TIME).However,to date,no systematic study has been conducted on the relationship between gut microbiota and the TIME using bibliometric methods.AIM To describe the current global research status on the correlation between gut microbiota and the TIME,and to identify the most influential countries, research institutions, researchers, and research hotspots related to this topic.METHODS We searched for all literature related to gut microbiota and TIME published from January 1,2014,to May 28,2024,in the Web of Science Core Collection database. We then conducted a bibliometric analysis and created visual maps of the published literature on countries, institutions, authors, keywords, references, etc.,using CiteSpace(6.2R6),VOSviewer(1.6.20),and bibliometrics(based on R 4.3.2).RESULTS In total,491 documents were included, with a rapid increase in the number of publications starting in 2019.The country with the highest number of publications was China, followed by the United States.Germany has the highest number of citations in literature. From a centrality perspective, the United States has the highest influence in this field. The institutions with the highest number of publications were Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Zhejiang University. However, the institution with the most citations was the United States National Cancer Institute.Among authors,Professor Giorgio Trinchieri from the National Institutes of Health has the most local impact in this field. The most cited author was Fan XZ.The results of journal publications showed that the top three journals with the highest number of published papers were Frontiers in Immunology,Cancers, and Frontiers in Oncology. The three most frequently used keywords were gut microbiota, tumor microenvironment, and immunotherapy.CONCLUSION This study systematically elaborates on the research progress related to gut microbiota and TIME over the past decade.Research results indicate that the number of publications has rapidly increased since 2019,with research hotspots including“gut microbiota”,“tumor microenvironment”and“immunotherapy”.Exploring the effects of specific gut microbiota or derived metabolites on the behavior of immune cells in the TIME,regulating the secretion of immune molecules, and influencing immunotherapy are research hotspots and future research directions. 展开更多

Methane contributes to global warming, and livestock is one of the sources of methane production. However, methane emission studies using bibliometric tools in livestock are lacking.Given the negative impact of climate change on the ecosystem and the rise in methane emissions,it is essential to conduct a bibliometrics study to provide an overview and research trends. We used the Bibliometrix package and VOSviewer to decipher bibliometric indices for methane emissions in cattle farms(MECF).Current dataset were collected from the Web of Science(Core Collection)database, and 8,998 publications were analyzed. The most co-occurring keywords scientists preferred were methane(1,528),greenhouse gas(443),methane emissions(440),and cattle(369).Methane was the most frequently used keyword in the published scientific literature.Thematic evolution of research themes and trend results highlighted carbon dioxide, methane, dairy cattle, cattle, and risk factors during 1999–2017.Chinese Academy of Sciences ranked on top with 485 publications, followed by Agriculture&Agri-Food Canada,University of Colorado,National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and Aarhus University.Chinese Academy of Sciences was also the most cited organization, followed by the University of Colorado,Agriculture&Agri-Food Canada,National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and United States Geological Survey.Source analysis showed that the Science of the Total Environment was cited with the highest total link strength.Science of the Total Environment ranked first in source core 1 with 290 citation frequencies, followed by Journal of Dairy Science with 223 citation frequencies.Currently,no bibliometric study has been conducted on MECF,and to fill this knowledge gap,we carried out this study to highlight methane emissions in cattle farms, aiming at a climate change perspective. In this regard,we focused on the research productivity of countries authors, journals and institutions,co-occurrence of keywords, evolution of research trends, and collaborative networking.Based on relevance degree of centrality, methane emissions and greenhouse gases appeared as basic themes, cattle, and dairy cattle appeared as emerging/declining themes, whereas, methane, greenhouse gas and nitrous oxide appeared to fall amongst basic and motor themes. On the other hand, beef cattle, rumen and dairy cow seem to be between motor and niche themes, and risk factors lie in niche themes. The present bibliometric analysis provides research progress on methane emissions in cattle farms.Current findings may provide a framework for understanding research trends and themes in MECF research. 展开更多

Background and objectives:The ongoing mpox outbreaks have garnered significant attention due to their public health implications, particularly the potential mental health impacts.Despite the growing concern, there has been limited exploration of the intersection between mpox and mental health within the research literature. This study aims to conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis to examine global research trends, regional distribution, and thematic focus areas related to mpox's psychological and psychiatric implications. Methods:We conducted a bibliometric analysis using Scopus and the Web of Science database. The analysis was carried out using the R-bibliometrics package and involved identifying literature on mpox and mental health, focusing on global research trends, regional distribution, and thematic areas of study. The analysis included 416 documents obtained from 295 sources from January 1,2014 to August 27,2024.Results:Our analysis revealed a growing but unevenly distributed literature on mpox and mental health. Most studies concentrated on the relationship between mpox and conditions such as depression and anxiety, while other psychiatric outcomes remain underexplored. The geographic distribution of research was also uneven, with regions like Europe and the Americas receiving more focus than others. Conclusions:The study highlights the need for more targeted research on the mental health sequelae of mpox, particularly for vulnerable populations and regions that are currently underrepresented in the literature.Future research should include longitudinal studies to assess the long-term effects of mpox on mental health and the development of robust methodologies to establish causality.Integrating mental health considerations into public health responses to mpox outbreaks is crucial, with significant implications for research, policy, and clinical practice. 展开更多

BACKGROUND The rising global burden of liver diseases, such as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and liver fibrosis, has necessitated innovative therapeutic approaches.Plant-based therapies, recognized for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, have shown promising effects. However, poor bioavailability limits their clinical application.AIM To map global research trends, key contributors, and emerging themes in plant-based therapies combined with advanced drug delivery systems for liver health.METHODS Using the Scopus database,645 documents were retrieved and analyzed using bibliometric tools Biblioshiny and VOSviewer.Analysis focused on publication trends, geographical contributions, and advancements in drug delivery technologies, including nanoparticles, liposomes, and polymeric micelles.Metrics such as publication growth rate, authorship collaboration, and thematic clustering were assessed.RESULTS The dataset spans 43 years(1981-2024),with an annual growth rate of 11.09%in the number of publications.Research output is dominated by China(33%),followed by the United States(24%)and India(18%).Collaborative studies accounted for 24.34%of publications, with an average of 5.81 co-authors per document.Key innovations include nanoparticle encapsulation of curcumin and silymarin, improving bioavailability by up to 85%.Highly cited studies demonstrated the antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,and anti-fibrotic properties of these compounds. For instance, curcumin nanoparticles showed a 70%improvement in solubility, and silymarin liposomal formulations enhanced therapeutic efficiency by 62%.Thematic analysis revealed a transition from basic clinical observations to molecular and pharmacokinetic research, with a focus on oxidative stress mitigation and hepatoprotection.CONCLUSION This study highlights the growing synergy between plant-based therapies and advanced drug delivery systems, with significant contributions from Asian and Western countries.Future efforts should prioritize clinical trials, standardization of plant extract formulations, and interdisciplinary approaches to maximize therapeutic outcomes. The findings provide a foundation for integrating plant-derived compounds into evidence-based hepatological therapies, addressing critical challenges in bioavailability and safety. 展开更多
