This study examines the spatiotemporal evolution of Tibetan villages in western Sichuan through state transition models and predictive simulations to understand their complex dynamics and key driving factors.Using a combination of multivariate time-series analysis and chaotic attractor identification, the research identifies forest cover, economic growth, employment rates, road density, and communication network coverage as critical determinants of village trajectories. For instance,Molo Village recovers rapidly with a 10%increase in regional economic growth, while Xisuo Village becomes unstable with employment rate fluctuations above 2%.Shenzuo Village benefits from improved road density, and Minzu Village’s stability depends on forest cover.Jiangba Village relies on the growth of irrigated farmland and communication network coverage, whereas Kegeyi Village exhibits periodic dynamics and high sensitivity to employment variations. The findings underscore the inherent complexity and nonlinearity of rural systems, revealed through chaotic attractor analysis, which highlights the system’s sensitivity to initial conditions and external shocks. The article provides actionable insights into resilience mechanisms and offers practical recommendations for the sustainable development of culturally and ecologically sensitive regions.Emphasis on tailored management strategies is essential to meet the challenges faced by these unique systems in the face of modernization and environmental change. 展开更多

The ion channel in neurons is the basic component of signal transmission in the nervous system. The ion channel has important effects on the potential of neuron release and dynamic behavior in neural networks.Ion channels control the flow of ions into and out of the cell membrane to form an ion current, which makes the excitable membrane produce special potential changes and become the basis of nerve and muscle activity. The blockage of ion channels has a significant effect on the dynamics of neurons and networks. Therefore,it is very meaningful to study the influence of ion channels on neuronal dynamics. In this work,a hybrid ion channel is designed by connecting a charge-controlled memristor(CCM)with an inductor in series, and a magnetic flux-controlled memristor(MFCM),capacitor, and nonlinear resistor are connected in parallel with the mixed ion channel to obtain the memristor neural circuit.Furthermore, the oscillator model with a hybrid ion channel and its energy function are calculated, and a map neuron is obtained by linearizing the neuron oscillator model. In addition,an adaptive regulation method is designed to explore the adaptive regulation of energy on the dynamic behaviors of the map neuron. The results show that the dynamics of a map neuron with a hybrid ion channel can be controlled by parameters and external magnetic fields. This study is also used to research synchronization between map neurons and collective behaviors in the map neurons network. 展开更多

A rotor system supported by roller beatings displays very complicated nonlinear behaviors due to nonlinear Hertzian contact forces, radial clearances and bearing waviness. This paper presents nonlinear bearing forces of a roller bearing under four-dimensional loads and establishes 4-DOF dynamics equations of a rotor roller bearing system. The methods of Newmark-β and of Newton-Laphson are used to solve the nonlinear equations. The dynamics behaviors of a rigid rotor system are studied through the bifurcation, the Poincar è maps, the spectrum diagrams and the axis orbit of responses of the system. The results show that the system is liable to undergo instability caused by the quasi-periodic bifurcation, the periodic-doubling bifurcation and chaos routes as the rotational speed increases. Clearances, outer race waviness, inner race waviness, roller waviness, damping, radial forces and unbalanced forces-all these bring a significant influence to bear on the system stability. As the clearance increases, the dynamics behaviors become complicated with the number and the scale of instable regions becoming larger. The vibration frequencies induced by the roller bearing waviness and the orders of the waviness might cause severe vibrations. The system is able to eliminate non-periodic vibration by reasonable choice and optimization of the parameters. 展开更多

In this article,by employing the Hirota bilinear approach and the long wave limit method,we not only derive soliton solutions, lump solutions, and hybrid solutions for the(2+1)-dimensional Yu-Toda-Sasa-Fukuyama(YTSF)equation,but also analyze the dynamical behaviors of nonlinear local wave propagation in shallow water.Firstly, based on the Hirota bilinear approach, one to four-order soliton solutions of the YTSF equation are obtained, and the effects of different parameters on the amplitude, propagation trajectory, and displacement of solitons are investigated.Secondly, using the long wave limit approach, one to three-order lump solutions and various physical quantities of the YTSF equation are derived. It is found that the real and imaginary parts of the parameter pi dominate the propagation trajectory and the shape of lump waves, respectively.Furthermore,we construct the hybrid solution for the YTSF equation, leading to the conclusion that the interaction between lumps and solitons constitutes an elastic collision. To intuitively understand the dynamic behaviors of these solutions,we conduct numerical simulations to present vivid three-dimensional visualizations. 展开更多

Our analysis is particularly motivated by its relevance to understanding compact object instabilities, gravitational collapse thresholds, and the formation of dense structures under the influence of modified gravity theories. The interplay of anisotropic pressures, perturbative dynamics, and modified gravity contributions offers insight into both the stable configuration of dense fluids and the mechanisms leading to dynamical instability.Such considerations directly contribute to the aims of high energy density profiles, particularly in modeling physical systems where extreme pressure, curvature, and matter interactions co-exist.We consider an axially symmetric, dense structure with anisotropic matter content and employ a specific equation of state(EoS)to examine the interplay between static and dynamic quantities via the adiabatic index. To address the complex dynamics of the collapse process,a perturbative scheme is utilized under Newtonian and post-Newtonian approximations, enabling a detailed examination of the stability and structural evolution of the system under the influence of the considered minimally coupled gravity. Our results demonstrate that hydrostatic equilibrium is maintained when effective pressure, gravitational, and anti-gravitational forces are balanced, while deviations from this balance initiate dynamical instability.Graphical representations of stable and unstable regimes are presented, revealing how the choice of gravity functions significantly affects the outcome. This work provides insight into the behavior of dense,self-gravitating configurations under modified gravity, offering broader implications for the modeling of compact astrophysical objects and contributing to the understanding of gravitational collapse in energy density regimes. 展开更多

The partial discharge occurring in the weak part of the insulation of a converter transformer results in the formation of a large number of bubbles in the insulating oil.The migration, deformation, and other dynamic behaviors of bubbles in the region of a strong electric field can cause them to easily accumulate into“small bridges”of impurities that can lead to breakdown of the oil gap.The authors of this study experimentally investigate and discuss the mechanisms of migration and deformation of bubbles in oil during partial discharge under composite AC/DC voltage to clarify their dynamic behaviors. The influence of the initial position of the bubbles on their trajectory of migration and velocity as well as the morphological changes occurring in them are analyzed using numerical simulations. The results show that the bubbles move away from the strong electric field due to the action of the dielectrophoretic force. The interface of the bubbles is longitudinally stretched under the action of the electrostrictive force and the vertical component of the drag force and gradually recovers to assume a spherical shape under the influence of surface tension and the horizontal component of the drag force. 展开更多

Drilling and blasting tunneling is a cyclic process in which tunnel rock undergoes repeated blast loading, affecting its dynamic characteristics, energy evolution, and damage progression. To explore the dynamic mechanical properties and damage mechanisms of carbonaceous slate under cyclic impact loads of varying intensities, cyclic dynamic tests are conducted using a triaxial split Hopkinson pressure bar. This study analyzes the stress-strain relationship, energy damage evolution, and macro-to-micro failure characteristics. The results show that peak stress and strain are significantly influenced by impact intensity and the number of impacts. The initial dynamic stress is positively correlated with the impact intensity, but with more impact, the dynamic stress decreases while the peak strain increases.Energy evolution follows a pattern of"slow growthfluctuating growthrapid growth,"with the crack initiation stress and its proportion decreasing.CT and SEM analyses reveal that as the impact intensity increases, failure becomes more chaotic, the fracture volume increases, and the fracture mode shifts from interlayer and intergranular to through-layer and trans-granular fractures. These findings provide an experimental basis for soft rock tunnel stability analysis. 展开更多

In coal mines, dynamic disasters such as rock bursts seriously threaten the safety of mining activities.Exploring the dynamic behaviors and disaster characteristics in the impact failure process of coal serves as the basis and prerequisite for monitoring and warning rock bursts. In this context, impact failure tests of coal were carried out under different axial static loads and impact velocities to analyze the dynamic behaviors and acoustic emission(AE)response characteristics of coal. The results show that the dynamic behaviors of coal under combined dynamic and static loads are significantly different from those under static loads, and the stress-strain curve displays double peaks without an obvious compaction stage. As the axial static load grows, the dynamic strength and peak strain both have a quadratic function with the axial static load. When the coal damage intensifies instantaneously, the AE count and energy parameters both witness pulse-like increases and reach their peak values. The damage effect of axial static loads on coal, though limited, has an extreme point. In contrast, the impact velocity can strengthen the response of AE signals and has linear function relationships with the peak values of AE count and energy. This plays a leading role in the damage to samples and sets a critical point for coal failure and fracture.Compared with the analysis results of stress and strain, the responses of AE signals are more accurate and reliable.Based on AE response characteristics, the damage evolution process of coal under the combined dynamic and static loads can be identified more accurately to reveal the moment corresponding to coal damage and the characteristics of coal failure. The research results are conducive to the further application of AE monitoring methods to early warning of rock burst disasters in coal mining sites. 展开更多

Railway noise barriers are an essential piece of infrastructure for reducing noise propagation. However, these barriers experience aerodynamic loads generated by high-speed trains, leading to dynamic effects that may compromise their fatigue capacity. The most common structural design for railway noise barriers consists of vertical configurations of posts and panels. However, there have been few dynamic analyses of steel post/wood panel noise barriers under train-induced aerodynamic loads. This study used dynamic finite element analysis to assess the dynamic behavior of such noise barriers.Analysis of a 40-m-long noise barrier model and a triangular simplified load model, the latter of which effectively represented the detailed aerodynamic load, were first used to establish the model and input of the moving load during dynamic simulation. Then, the effects of different parameters on the dynamic response of the noise barrier were evaluated, including the damping ratio, the profile of the steel post, the span length of the panel, the barrier height, and the train speed.Gray relational analysis indicated that barrier height exhibited the highest correlations with the dynamic responses, followed by train speed, post profile, span length, and damping ratio.A reduction in the natural frequency and an increase in the train speed result in a higher peak response and more pronounced fluctuations between the nose and tail waves. The dynamic amplification factor(DAF)was found to be related to both the natural frequency and train speed.A model was proposed showing that the DAF significantly increases as the square of the natural frequency decreases and the cube of the train speed rises. 展开更多

This paper prepared a novel as-cast W-Zr-Ti metallic ESM using high-frequency vacuum induction melting technique. The above ESM performs a typical elastic-brittle material feature and strain rate strengthening behavior. The specimens exhibit violent chemical reaction during the fracture process under the impact loading, and the size distribution of their residual debris follows Rosin-Rammler model. The dynamic fracture toughness is obtained by the fitting of debris length scale, approximately 1.87 MPa·m~(1/2).Microstructure observation on residual debris indicates that the failure process is determined by primary crack propagation under quasi-static compression, while it is affected by multiple cracks propagation in both particle and matrix in the case of dynamic impact.Impact test demonstrates that the novel energetic fragment performs brilliant penetration and combustion effect behind the front target, leading to the effective ignition of fuel tank. For the brittleness of as-cast W-ZrTi ESM,further study conducted bond-based peridynamic(BB-PD)C++computational code to simulate its fracture behavior during penetration. The BB-PD method successfully captured the fracture process and debris cloud formation of the energetic fragment. This paper explores a novel as-cast metallic ESM,and provides an available numerical avenue to the simulation of brittle energetic fragment. 展开更多

The heterogeneity here is created by the degeneracy of the intra-specific pressures for the prey. The beer game model is a typical paradigm used to study complex dynamics behaviours in production–distribution systems. The model, however, does not accord with current practical supply chain system models in discrete?type manufacturing industry, which are generally composed of retailers, distributors, manufacturers with internal sup?ply chain, and suppliers. To describe how ordering policies influence the complex dynamics behaviour modes and operating cost in a general discrete?type manufacturing industry supply chain system, a high dimension piecewise?linear dynamics model is built for the supply chain system. Five kinds of ordering policy combination are considered. The distribution of both the largest Lyapunov exponent of e ective inventory and average operating cost per cycle is obtained by simulation in a policy space. The simulation shows that for the general discrete?type manufacturing industry supply chain system, the upper chaotic corners emerge besides the lower chaotic corners in the policy space expressing the distribution of system behaviour mode, and that the ordering policies at each supply chain node as well as their combination have very significant e ect on the topology of the distribution of both system behaviour mode and operating cost in the policy space. We find that chaos is not always corresponding to high cost, and the "chaos amplification" is not completely relevant to the "cost amplification". 展开更多

Understanding the proton dynamic behavior in inorganic materials has long been a topic of intense fascination[1],especially in the field of electrochemical energy storage[2].One of the examples is the research of proton transport in transition metal oxides, which dates back to 1971[3]when RuO_(2) was discovered to be capable of storing protons via reversible redox reactions[4].In aqueous electrolytes, the thin film RuO_(2) electrode exhibits a surface pseudocapacitive behavior[5],which could be modified by the structural water in its hydrated form due to the facile Grotthuss hopping mode of protons along the established hydrogen bonds inside the bulk phase[6].Soon later,Goodenough et al.reported the capacitor-like behavior of amorphous MnO_(2)·xH_(2)O electrode in an aqueous KCl electrolyte[7],and further studies on the hydrated MnO_(2) electrodes prepared by sol-gel processes have soon discovered that the intercalation of protons from aqueous electrolytes plays an indispensable role in the charge storage mechanism[8].In recent years, the research interest on rechargeable aqueous batteries has fueled the renaissance of mechanistic study of proton transport in transition metal oxides[9],which can operate as cathodes or anodes via a topotactic insertion mechanism similar to that in Li-ion batteries[10].However,due to the challenges for experimental detection of local chemical environments of the inserted protons,a comprehensive understanding of proton dynamic behavior in these electrodes remains largely lacking. 展开更多

Exploring dynamic mechanical responses and failure behaviors of hot dry rock(HDR)is significant for geothermal exploitation and stability assessment. In this study, via the split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB)system,a series of dynamic compression tests were conducted on granite treated by cyclic thermal shocks at different temperatures. We analyzed the effects of cyclic thermal shock on the thermal-related physical and dynamic mechanical behaviors of granite.Specifically, the P-wave velocity, dynamic strength, and elastic modulus of the tested granite decrease with increasing temperature and cycle number, while porosity and peak strain increase. The degradation law of dynamic mechanical properties could be described by a cubic polynomial.Cyclic thermal shock promotes shear cracks propagation, causing dynamic failure mode of granite to transition from splitting to tensile-shear composite failure, accompanied by surface spalling and debris splashing. Moreover, the thermal shock damage evolution and coupled failure mechanism of tested granite are discussed. The evolution of thermal shock damage with thermal shock cycle numbers shows an obvious S-shaped surface, featured by an exponential correlation with dynamic mechanical parameters. In addition, with increasing thermal shock temperature and cycles, granite mineral species barely change, but the length and width of thermal cracks increase significantly. The non-uniform expansion of minerals, thermal shock-induced cracking, and water-rock interaction are primary factors for deteriorating dynamic mechanical properties of granite under cyclic thermal shock. 展开更多

Based on a new bilinear equation,we investigated some new dynamic behaviors of the(2+1)-dimensional shallow water wave model, such as hybridization behavior between different solitons, trajectory equations for lump collisions, and evolution behavior of multi-breathers.Firstly,the N-soliton solution of Ito equation is studied, and some high-order breather waves can be obtained from the N-soliton solutions through paired-complexification of parameters.Secondly, the high-order lump solutions and the hybrid solutions are obtained by employing the long-wave limit method, and the motion velocity and trajectory equations of high-order lump waves are analyzed. Moreover, based on the trajectory equations of the higher-order lump solutions,we give and prove the trajectory theorem of 1-lump before and after interaction with nsoliton. Finally,we obtain some new lump solutions from the multi-solitons by constructing a new test function and using the parameter limit method.Meanwhile, some evolutionary behaviors of the obtained solutions are shown through a large number of three-dimensional graphs with different and appropriate parameters. 展开更多

Eutectic high-entropy alloys(EHEAs)exhibit excellent as-cast mechanical properties resulting from intrinsically distinctive micro structures. As a representative class of heterostructured metallic materials, however, research regarding the dynamic tensile behavior of heterostructured EHEAs remains scarce at present. In this work,we investigated the correspondence between deformation mechanisms and mechanical performances of Al_(18)Co_(18)Cr_(14)Fe_(14)Ni_(36)EHEAs with lamellar regions and non-lamellar regions under quasi-static and dynamic tensions. The tensile results showed that the strength and ductility of the EHEA exhibits a progressively sequential improvement with the increasing strain rates, which display a remarkably synergistic enhancement as the strain rate reaches 4200 s^(-1).The lamellar regions can facilitate forming the continuous dislocation slip and transmission within the dual-phase lamellae under varying strain rates, leading to synergic ally deforming,in contrast with nonlamellar eutectic regions due to cellular B2 particles hindrance to dislocation motion. The remarkable enhancement of mechanical properties with increasing the strain rate is related to plastic deformation mechanism transformation from single dislocation slip dominated by stacking faults to the activation of twinning deformation.Furthermore, severe hetero-deformation induces additionally back stress strengthening accompanied by the activation of geometrically necessary dislocations in hetero-zones.Our investigation on the dynamic behavior of the EHEA can help understand the relationship between micro-mechanisms and mechanical performances to architect optimal micro structure design for engineering applications. 展开更多
