Structure-Based Virtual Sample Generation Using Average-Linkage Clustering for Small Dataset Problems

Small datasets are often challenging due to their limited sample size.This research introduces a novel solution to these problems:average linkage virtual sample generation(ALVSG).ALVSG leverages the underlying data structure to create virtual samples,which can be used to augment the original dataset.The ALVSG process consists of two steps.First,an average-linkage clustering technique is applied to the dataset to create a dendrogram.The dendrogram represents the hierarchical structure of the dataset,with each merging operation regarded as a linkage.Next,the linkages are combined into an average-based dataset,which serves as a new representation of the dataset.The second step in the ALVSG process involves generating virtual samples using the average-based dataset.The research project generates a set of 100 virtual samples by uniformly distributing them within the provided boundary.These virtual samples are then added to the original dataset,creating a more extensive dataset with improved generalization performance.The efficacy of the ALVSG approach is validated through resampling experiments and t-tests conducted on two small real-world datasets.The experiments are conducted on three forecasting models:the support vector machine for regression(SVR),the deep learning model(DL),and XGBoost.The results show that the ALVSG approach outperforms the baseline methods in terms of mean square error(MSE),root mean square error(RMSE),and mean absolute error(MAE). 展开更多

A novel adaptive multiple dependent state sampling plan(AMDSSP)was designed to inspect products from a continuous manufacturing process under the accelerated life test(ALT)using both double sampling plan(DSP)and multiple dependent state sampling plan(MDSSP)concepts.Under accelerated conditions,the lifetime of a product follows the Weibull distribution with a known shape parameter,while the scale parameter can be determined using the acceleration factor(AF).The Arrhenius model is used to estimate AF when the damaging process is temperature-sensitive.An economic design of the proposed sampling plan was also considered for the ALT.A genetic algorithm with nonlinear optimization was used to estimate optimal plan parameters to minimize the average sample number(ASN)and total cost of inspection(TC)under both producer’s and consumer’s risks.Numerical results are presented to support the AMDSSP for the ALT,while performance comparisons between the AMDSSP,the MDSSP and a single sampling plan(SSP)for the ALT are discussed.Results indicated that the AMDSSP was more flexible and efficient for ASN and TC than the MDSSP and SSP plans under accelerated conditions.The AMDSSP also had a higher operating characteristic(OC)curve than both the existing sampling plans.Two real datasets of electronic devices for the ALT at high temperatures demonstrated the practicality and usefulness of the proposed sampling plan. 展开更多

In this paper, the evaluation of discretely sampled Asian options was considered by numerically solving the associated partial differential equations with the Legendre spectral method. Double average options were discussed as examples. The problem is a parabolic one on a finite domain whose equation degenerates into ordinary differential equations on the boundaries. A fully discrete scheme was established by using the Legendre spectral method in space and the Crank-Nicolson finite difference scheme in time. The stability and convergence of the scheme were analyzed. Numerical results show that the method can keep the spectral accuracy in space for such degenerate problems. 展开更多

This study presents the design of a modified attributed control chart based on a double sampling(DS)np chart applied in combination with generalized multiple dependent state(GMDS)sampling to monitor the mean life of the product based on the time truncated life test employing theWeibull distribution.The control chart developed supports the examination of the mean lifespan variation for a particular product in the process of manufacturing.Three control limit levels are used:the warning control limit,inner control limit,and outer control limit.Together,they enhance the capability for variation detection.A genetic algorithm can be used for optimization during the in-control process,whereby the optimal parameters can be established for the proposed control chart.The control chart performance is assessed using the average run length,while the influence of the model parameters upon the control chart solution is assessed via sensitivity analysis based on an orthogonal experimental design withmultiple linear regression.A comparative study was conducted based on the out-of-control average run length,in which the developed control chart offered greater sensitivity in the detection of process shifts while making use of smaller samples on average than is the case for existing control charts.Finally,to exhibit the utility of the developed control chart,this paper presents its application using simulated data with parameters drawn from the real set of data. 展开更多

采用三维超声波风速仪,对内蒙古呼和浩特市某建筑环境内的风场特征开展现场测量实验,将10 Hz实验数据分别处理为采样频率为5、2和1 Hz的子数据样本,及平均周期为10、5及1 min的子数据样本,探寻分析采样频率和平均周期对建筑环境内风速... 采用三维超声波风速仪,对内蒙古呼和浩特市某建筑环境内的风场特征开展现场测量实验,将10 Hz实验数据分别处理为采样频率为5、2和1 Hz的子数据样本,及平均周期为10、5及1 min的子数据样本,探寻分析采样频率和平均周期对建筑环境内风速、风向、湍流强度及湍流功率谱密度等参数的影响,结果表明:1 Hz采样频率即能准确捕捉建筑环境内风速和风向特征,而无需追求过高的采样频率;采用1 min平均周期能保留更多远大于或远小于平均风速的实际风速值,由此计算的风功率密度更接近实际情况;平均周期对风向频率有轻微的影响,但并不会改变测点风向分布特征和主风向;采样频率对建筑环境内湍流强度和湍流功率密度均不存在影响;采用1 min平均周期时建筑环境内的湍流强度和湍流功率谱密度均相对较小,采用10 min平均周期可能高估建筑环境内风场湍流强度,但却提供较为保险的风力机载荷分析依据。 展开更多

Joint chance constraints(JCCs)can ensure the consistency and correlation of stochastic variables when participating in decision-making.Sample average approximation(SAA)is the most popular method for solving JCCs in unit commitment(UC)problems.However,the typical SAA requires large Monte Carlo(MC)samples to ensure the solution accuracy,which results in large-scale mixed-integer programming(MIP)problems.To address this problem,this paper presents the partial sample average approximation(PSAA)to deal with JCCs in UC problems in multi-area power systems with wind power.PSAA partitions the stochastic variables and historical dataset,and the historical dataset is then partitioned into non-sampled and sampled sets.When approximating the expectation of stochastic variables,PSAA replaces the big-M formulation with the cumulative distribution function of the non-sampled set,thus preventing binary variables from being introduced.Finally,PSAA can transform the chance constraints to deterministic constraints with only continuous variables,avoiding the large-scale MIP problem caused by SAA.Simulation results demonstrate that PSAA has significant advantages in solution accuracy and efficiency compared with other existing methods including traditional SAA,SAA with improved big-M,SAA with Latin hypercube sampling(LHS),and the multi-stage robust optimization methods. 展开更多

针对滚动轴承故障特征提取难度大以及不同故障类型训练样本稀缺的问题,提出了一种基于参数优化特征模态分解(FMD)和集成极限学习机(EELM)的小样本滚动轴承故障诊断方法。首先,采用常春藤算法(IVYA)对FMD参数进行了优化,提升了模态分解... 针对滚动轴承故障特征提取难度大以及不同故障类型训练样本稀缺的问题,提出了一种基于参数优化特征模态分解(FMD)和集成极限学习机(EELM)的小样本滚动轴承故障诊断方法。首先,采用常春藤算法(IVYA)对FMD参数进行了优化,提升了模态分解的精确度,并采用最小残差指数(REI)作为最优模态分量的选取准则,从最优模态分量中提取了故障信号时域、频域及熵值的关键特征;然后,将所提取的特征输入EELM中进行了故障识别;最后,采用Yager加权平均规则对EELM的分类结果进行了融合,得到了综合故障诊断结果。研究结果表明:IVYA-FMD在信号处理过程中,具有优秀的特征提取和抗干扰能力,可有效提取原始信号的故障特征;IVYA-FMD和EELM-Yager模型在实验数据中,训练集与测试集按照8∶2的比例进行分割时的准确率达到99.12%;当训练集与测试集按照2:8的比例进行分割时,该方法在实验数据中的准确率高达92.5%,在CWRU数据集和SEU数据集中的准确率均超过96.8%。与其他智能诊断模型相比,IVYA-FMD和EELM-Yager在小样本滚动轴承故障诊断领域展现出显著的可行性和优越性。 展开更多

碳价格具有非线性、非平稳等复杂特征,其预测颇具挑战性.为了提高预测精度,提出一种结合时变滤波经验模态分解(Time-Varying Filter Empirical Mode Decomposition,TVFEMD)、样本熵(Sample Entropy,SE)、双向门控循环单元(Bidirectional... 碳价格具有非线性、非平稳等复杂特征,其预测颇具挑战性.为了提高预测精度,提出一种结合时变滤波经验模态分解(Time-Varying Filter Empirical Mode Decomposition,TVFEMD)、样本熵(Sample Entropy,SE)、双向门控循环单元(Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit,BiGRU)和差分整合移动平均自回归(Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average Model,ARIMA)的碳价预测模型TTBiGRUA.首先,通过TVFEMD将碳价格分解为不同频率的模态分量.其次,利用样本熵评估各分量复杂度,并采用K-means算法进行重构.随后,对重构后波动性最强的模态分量运用TVFEMD二次分解,以进一步提取特征并减少模态混叠.根据样本熵划分高频分量和低频分量.高频分量由BiGRU预测,低频分量则由ARIMA预测,最后将分量预测结果叠加得到碳价格最终预测结果.应用广东和湖北碳市场的实际碳价数据,使用5个评价指标和Diebold Mariano(DM)检验评估模型预测的有效性和鲁棒性.结果表明,所提出模型预测精度优于其他基准对比模型. 展开更多

【目的】依据准确的滑坡易发性结果能对滑坡危险性与风险性进行精准防控。在滑坡易发性评价中,不同滑坡负样本的选取方式是影响滑坡易发性预测精度的重要不确定因素。【方法】以四川岷江流域山区为研究区,通过遥感影像编制881个大型滑坡... 【目的】依据准确的滑坡易发性结果能对滑坡危险性与风险性进行精准防控。在滑坡易发性评价中,不同滑坡负样本的选取方式是影响滑坡易发性预测精度的重要不确定因素。【方法】以四川岷江流域山区为研究区,通过遥感影像编制881个大型滑坡(>10^(6) m^(3)),选取地形地貌、基础地质、水文地质、地质环境、地震参数与人类活动等13个滑坡评价因子,并共线性分析检验因子冗余;其次对滑坡负样本采取全区随机、坡度低于10°区域、滑坡缓冲1 km外区域、信息量法(IV)、支持向量机法(SVM)和半监督法选择出与滑坡等比例的滑坡负样本,进一步与随机森林(RF)耦合构建随机RF、低坡度RF、缓冲区RF、IV-RF、SVM-RF与半监督RF模型开展滑坡易发性区划;最后采用ROC曲线的平均AUC值对不同滑坡负样本采样模型的预测精度进行对比评价。【结果】结果显示:(1)不同滑坡负样本采样方式得到的滑坡高易发区与极高易发区均集中分布于卧龙至映秀段、棉虒至古尔沟段、黑虎至木苏段与叠溪至松潘段河谷两侧;(2)不同滑坡负样本采样方式的滑坡易发性预测精度为:半监督RF(AUC=0.971)>SVM-RF(AUC=0.954)>IV-RF(AUC=0.945)>缓冲区RF(AUC=0.902)>低坡度RF(AUC=0.895)>随机RF(AUC=0.882);(3)在低易发区选择滑坡负样本能明显提高易发性精度,低坡度RF、缓冲区RF、IV-RF、SVM-RF与半监督RF模型相较于随机RF模型,AUC值分别提高了0.013、0.02、0.063、0.072、0.089。【结论】半监督RF模型的标准差最小(0.004)且平均AUC值(0.971)最高,展现出最优稳定性与模型预测能力,表明半监督采样方法对模型的优化效果最好。研究成果可为滑坡易发性预测中滑坡负样本选择和模型构建提供参考,同时也为岷江上游流域滑坡风险与防灾减灾提供理论支撑。 展开更多

为了实现光学法溶解氧质量浓度的快速高精度测量,提出了一种基于采样平均法检测相位差的溶解氧测量方法。利用采样平均的方式消除单点误差的干扰、提高测量精度,并进行了理论分析和实验验证,对该方法的测量精度和速度进行分析,同时研究... 为了实现光学法溶解氧质量浓度的快速高精度测量,提出了一种基于采样平均法检测相位差的溶解氧测量方法。利用采样平均的方式消除单点误差的干扰、提高测量精度,并进行了理论分析和实验验证,对该方法的测量精度和速度进行分析,同时研究了信号采样频率对测量误差的影响;与现有多种方法的性能进行了对比,并搭建溶解氧测量系统对测量效果进行验证。结果表明,采样平均法检测相位差的优势明显,其测量精度高(平均误差约为1.13°,测量标准差为1.24°),测量速度快;溶解氧测量系统相对测量误差为2.84%,相对测量标准差为4.51%,实现了较高精度的溶解氧质量浓度测量。此研究为光学法高精度溶解氧测量提供了一种更简单准确的相位差检测方法。 展开更多

受控过程质量控制检验方案CSP-3的优化

CSP-3是拥有4个参数的连续抽样检验方案,但在制定、选择和运行方案时,没有考虑过程能力,导致输出质量不能量化控制、并行过程输出质量不一致等缺陷。为达到量化输出质量等目标,提出依据过程能力制定CSP-3方案。利用微分理论、单调性理论和最值理论分析CSP-3质量性能函数的变化规律,建立受控过程下边界恒等式和等值面恒等式。发现同时满足边界条件和等值面条件的方案有无穷多个。研究了4个参数的相互影响,对比了不同方案的质量性能函数,得到唯一最优CSP-3方案(命名为OCSP-3)。OCSP-3达成了最优方案唯一、可量化控制输出质量和用过程不合格品率置信限降低过程误判风险等功能。性能对比显示了OCSP-3在质量、成本和风险控制中的优越性。通过企业案例证明了OCSP-3的有效性。 展开更多
