A simple and convenient method has been developed for the pre-concentration and separation of inorganic selenium species from environmental water samples using anion exchange chromatographic column combined with high resolution inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(HR-ICP-MS)measurement.^(75)Se(Ⅳ) and ^(75)Se(Ⅵ)were prepared and used as tracers during the experiments.The volatility of selenium during solution evaporation was investigated to establish a reliable water samples pretreatment procedure.The parameters which affect the uptake of Se(Ⅳ)and Se(Ⅵ)on Dowex1×8 resin was optimized and the procedure for Se(Ⅳ)and Se(Ⅵ)separation was proposed.Both Se(Ⅳ)and Se(Ⅵ)are retained on the column in natural or alkaline solution with high distribution coefficient.The successive gradient elution of pre-concentrated species of selenium with HNO_(3)solution allows to differentiate between them.Se(Ⅳ)and Se(Ⅵ)finally were eluted with 0.05 mol/L HNO_(3) and 5.0 mol/L HNO_(3),respectively.The proposed method has been successfully verified using the certified reference materials(CRMs)of real water samples,and spiked recoveries for real samples were 98%-104%with 5%relative standard deviations(RSDs).The developed procedure is proved to be reliable and can be used for the rapid determination of selenium species in environmental water samples. 展开更多

Objectives:The aim of this study was to investigate and develop a data storage and exchange format for the process of automatic systematic reviews(ASR)of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Methods:A lightweight and commonly used data format,namely,JavaScript Object Notation(JSON),was introduced in this study.We designed a fully described data structure to collect TCM clinical trial information based on the JSON syntax.Results:A smart and powerful data format,JSON-ASR,was developed.JSON-ASR uses a plain-text data format in the form of key/value pairs and consists of six sections and more than 80 preset pairs.JSON-ASR adopts extensible structured arrays to support the situations of multi-groups and multi-outcomes.Conclusion:JSON-ASR has the characteristics of light weight,flexibility,and good scalability,which is suitable for the complex data of clinical evidence. 展开更多

The main idea of this system is to detect failure using current and voltage signals acquired without any type of internal interference in the generator operation. The detected failures could be mechanical or electrical origins, such as: problems in bearings, unwanted vibrations, partial discharges, misalignment, unbalancing, among others. It is possible because the generator acts as a transducer for mechanical problems, and they appear in current and voltage signals. The recognition and positioning of material baskets are key links in the automatic workpiece cleaning device.Aiming at the problems of low recognition accuracy and poor precision of traditional visual methods for material basket recognition,a control system of automatic workpiece cleaning device based on YOLOv5 was designed.The YOLOv5 detection algorithm was improved by introducing the attention mechanism and optimizing the loss function,which enhanced the attention to the target area and improved the accuracy of feature extraction,thus realizing the position recognition and coordinate acquisition of workpiece material baskets.In addition,a cleaning system with Siemens S7-1200 PLC as the control core was designed.By controlling servo motors to drive the gantry and adjust the operation of the crane,the automatic grabbing and handling of material baskets were realized,and the automatic control of the cleaning process was achieved.Meanwhile,a human-computer interaction(HMI)and monitoring interface was designed,which could intuitively display the operating status of material baskets and improve the interaction capability of the automatic workpiece cleaning device. 展开更多

Considering the challenges posed by external disturbances on carrier-based aircraft land-ing control,higher demands are required for the precision and convergence of the carrier landingcontrol system.First,this paper proposes an Adaptive Terminal Sliding Combined Super TwistingControl(ATS-STC)method to address the issues of low precision,slow convergence,and poor dis-turbance rejection capability resulting from external disturbances,such as carrier air-wake and deckmotion.By introducing a nonlinear term into the sliding surface and employing an integralapproach,the proposed ATS-STC method can ensure finite-time convergence and mitigate the chat-tering problem.An adaptive law is also utilized to estimate the external disturbances,therebyenhancing the anti-disturbance performance.Then,the stability and convergence time analysis ofthe designed controller are conducted.Based on the proposed method,an Automatic Carrier Land-ing System(ACLS)is developed to perform the carrier landing control task.Furthermore,a multi-dimensional validation is carried out.For the numerical simulation test,the Terminal Sliding ModeControl(TSMC)method and Proportion Integration Differentiation(PID)method are introducedas comparison,the quantitative assessment results show that the tracking error of TSMC and PIDcan reach 1.5 times and 2 times that of the proposed method.Finally,the Hardware-in-the-Loop(HIL)test and real flight test are conducted.All the experimental results demonstrate that the pro-posed control method is more effective and precise. 展开更多

Traditional calibration method for the digital inclinometer relies on manual inspection,and results in its disadvantages of complicated process,low-efficiency and human errors easy to be introduced.To improve both the calibration accuracy and efficiency of digital inclinometer,an automatic digital inclinometer calibration system was developed in this study,and a new display tube recognition algorithm was proposed.First,a high-precision automatic turntable was taken as the reference to calculate the indication error of the inclinometer.Then,the automatic inclinometer calibration control process and the digital inclinometer zero-setting function were formulated.For display tube recognition,a new display tube recognition algorithm combining threading method and feature extraction method was proposed.Finally,the calibration system was calibrated by photoelectric autocollimator and regular polygon mirror,and the calibration system error and repeatability were calculated via a series of experiments.The experimental results showed that the indication error of the proposed calibration system was less than 4",and the repeatability was 3.9".A digital inclinometer with the resolution of 0.1°was taken as a testing example,within the calibration points'range of[-90°,90°],the repeatability of the testing was 0.085°,and the whole testing process was less than 90 s.The digital inclinometer indication error is mainly introduced by the digital inclinometer resolution according to the uncertainty evaluation. 展开更多

PC104 transfers data with ECU by serial communication and a solid state disk is used as a FLASH ROM. Some techniques including frequency division of data is adopted in the software design in order to ensure the sampling frequency. The analysis and debug software is also contrived according to the characteristic of the ASS. [Method] Electronic soil moisture tension meter was used to determine the real-time tension value of soil moisture in the tested container, and the electronic Weigh sensor was used to determine soil Weigh. Minusing method was used to calculate soil moisture content, based on which the soil water characteristic curve was plotted. [Result] Through the filed survey of 2 different kinds of soil in Jiangsu Province, the results were as fol ows: soil of different composition showed different trend in soil water characteristic curve that the soil water characteristic relation of the sandy soil in the old course of the Yel ow River in Xuzhou was Y=-0.000 2X3+0.027 7X2-1.644 5X+38.161, R2=0.991 9; while the soil water characteristic relation of the saline-alkali soil in Jinhai Farm of Dafeng was Y=-0.00 2X2-0.426X+39.905, R2=0.991 3. Monitring pest populations in paddy fields is important to effectively implement integrated pest management.Light traps are widely used to monitor field pests all over the world.Most conventional light traps still involve manual identification of target pests from lots of trapped insects,which is time-consuming,labor-intensive and error-prone,especially in pest peak periods.In this paper,we developed an automatic monitoring system for rice light-trap pests based on machine vision.This system is composed of an itelligent light trap,a computer or mobile phone client platform and a cloud server.The light trap firstly traps,kills and disperses insects,then collects images of trapped insects and sends each image to the cloud server.Five target pests in images are automatically identifed and counted by pest identification models loaded in the server.To avoid light-trap insects piling up,a vibration plate and a moving rotation conveyor belt are adopted to disperse these trapped insects.There was a close correlation(r=0.92)between our automatic and manual identification methods based on the daily pest number of one-year images from one light trap.Field experiments demonstrated the effectiveness and accuracy of our automatic light trap monitoring system. 展开更多

The dimension and structure of valves and cylinders were designed by theoretical calculation. The dynamic simulation model of hydraulic system of AT was established by ITI-SimulationX. Simulation results and theoretical design results were compared to confirm the simulation model. Based on the confirmed simulation model, the simulation results of pressure and flow of the hydraulic system were analyzed. The dynamic simulation method is very helpful for designing and analyzing the performance of hydraulic system and further optimization design. The theoretical design method and dynamic simulation model are feasible for the real industrial applications. The research results can be used in hydraulic system design and optimization. 展开更多

Thus, in a power system ... Essentially, it is significant to supply the consumer with reliable and sufficient power. Since, power quality is measured by the consistency in frequency and power flow between control areas. Thus, in a power system operation and control,automatic generation control(AGC) plays a crucial role. In this paper, multi-area(Five areas: area 1, area 2, area 3, area 4 and area 5) reheat thermal power systems are considered with proportional-integral-derivative(PID) controller as a supplementary controller. Each area in the investigated power system is equipped with appropriate governor unit, turbine with reheater unit, generator and speed regulator unit. The PID controller parameters are optimized by considering nature bio-inspired firefly algorithm(FFA). The experimental results demonstrated the comparison of the proposed system performance(FFA-PID)with optimized PID controller based genetic algorithm(GAPID) and particle swarm optimization(PSO) technique(PSOPID) for the same investigated power system. The results proved the efficiency of employing the integral time absolute error(ITAE) cost function with one percent step load perturbation(1 % SLP) in area 1. The proposed system based FFA achieved the least settling time compared to using the GA or the PSO algorithms, while, it attained good results with respect to the peak overshoot/undershoot. In addition, the FFA performance is improved with the increased number of iterations which outperformed the other optimization algorithms based controller. 展开更多

Due to the portability and anti-interference ability,vision-based shipborne aircraft automatic landing systems have attracted the attention of researchers.In this paper,a Monocular Camera and Laser Range Finder(MC-LRF)-based pose measurement system is designed for shipborne aircraft automatic landing.First,the system represents the target ship using a set of sparse landmarks,and a two-stage model is adopted to detect landmarks on the target ship.The rough 6D pose is measured by solving a Perspective-n-Point problem.Then,once the rough pose is measured,a region-based pose refinement is used to continuously track the 6D pose in the subsequent image sequences.To address the low accuracy of monocular pose measurement in the depth direction,the designed system adopts a laser range finder to obtain an accurate range value.The measured rough pose is iteratively optimized using the accurate range measurement.Experimental results on synthetic and real images show that the system achieves robust and precise pose measurement of the target ship during automatic landing.The measurement means error is within 0.4in rotation,and 0.2%in translation,meeting the requirements for automatic fixed-wing aircraft landing. 展开更多

The paper focuses on the design of a new automatic landing system(ALS) in longitudinal plane; the new ALS controls the aircraft trajectory and longitudinal velocity. Aircraft control is achieved by means of a proportional-integral(PI) controller and the instrumental landing system– the first phase of landing(the glide slope) and a proportional-integral-derivative(PID) controller together with a radio-altimeter – the second phase of landing(the flare); both controllers modify the reference model associated with aircraft pitch angle. The control of the pitch angle and longitudinal velocity is performed by a neural network adaptive control system, based on the dynamic inversion concept, having the following as components: a linear dynamic compensator, a linear observer, reference models, and a Pseudo control hedging(PCH) block. The theoretical results are software implemented and validated by complex numerical simulations; compared with other ALSs having the same radio-technical subsystems but with conventional or fuzzy controllers for the control of aircraft pitch angle and longitudinal velocity, the architecture designed in this paper is characterized by much smaller overshoots and stationary errors. 展开更多

High-frequency surface wave radar(HFSWR) and automatic identification system(AIS) are the two most important sensors used for vessel tracking.The HFSWR can be applied to tracking all vessels in a detection area,while the AIS is usually used to verify the information of cooperative vessels.Because of interference from sea clutter,employing single-frequency HFSWR for vessel tracking may obscure vessels located in the blind zones of Bragg peaks.Analyzing changes in the detection frequencies constitutes an effective method for addressing this deficiency.A solution consisting of vessel fusion tracking is proposed using dual-frequency HFSWR data calibrated by the AIS.Since different systematic biases exist between HFSWR frequency measurements and AIS measurements,AIS information is used to estimate and correct the HFSWR systematic biases at each frequency.First,AIS point measurements for cooperative vessels are associated with the HFSWR measurements using a JVC assignment algorithm.From the association results of the cooperative vessels,the systematic biases in the dualfrequency HFSWR data are estimated and corrected.Then,based on the corrected dual-frequency HFSWR data,the vessels are tracked using a dual-frequency fusion joint probabilistic data association(JPDA)-unscented Kalman filter(UKF) algorithm.Experimental results using real-life detection data show that the proposed method is efficient at tracking vessels in real time and can improve the tracking capability and accuracy compared with tracking processes involving single-frequency data. 展开更多

A new type of a loading and measuring system was developed for testing failure and deformation of rock core samples with an industrial CT (ICT) scanner.The loading and measuring system consisted of a loading system and a computer control system.The maximum servo-controlled force was 2 tonnes.The new system was a high-stiffness system with a small size.During ICT tests,rock core samples could be easily loaded in the axial direction.So the initiation,propagation,and coalescence of cracks in core samples were observed on ICT images. 展开更多

In order to realize automatic tracking drift of resonance frequency of ultrasonic vibration system with high power and high quality factor Q, adaptive fuzzy control was studied with a self-fabricated ultrasonic plastic welding machine. At first, relations between amplitude of vibration and frequency as well as main loop current and amplitude of vibration were analyzed. From this analysis, we deduced that frequency tracking process of the vibration system can be concluded as an optimizing problem of one dimensional fluctuant extremum of main loop current in vibration system. Then a method of self-optimizing fuzzy control, used for the realization of automatic frequency tracking in vibration system, is presented on the basis of serf-optimizing adaptive control approach and fuzzy control approach. The result of experiments shows that the fuzzy self-optimizing method can solve the problem of tracking frequency drift very well. Response time of tracking in the system is less than 50 ms, which basically meets the requirements of frequency tracking in ultrasonic plastic welding machine. 展开更多

Effcient behavioral assays are crucial for understanding the neural mechanisms of cognitive functions.Here, we designed a high-throughput automatic training system for spatial cognition(HASS) for free-moving mice.Mice were trained to return to the home arm and remain there during a delay period. Software was designed to enable automatic training in all its phases, including habituation, shaping, and learning. Using this system, we trained mice to successfully perform a spatially delayed nonmatch to sample task, which tested spatial cognition,working memory, and decision making. Performance depended on the delay duration, which is a hallmark of working memory tasks. The HASS enabled a human operator to train more than six mice simultaneously with minimal intervention, therefore greatly enhancing experimental efficiency and minimizing stress to the mice.Combined with the optogenetic method and neurophysiological techniques, the HASS will be useful in deciphering the neural circuitry underlying spatial cognition. 展开更多
