Furthermore, the adrenal effect was proved with the adrenal extirpation. A several models of Yang-deficiency syndrome were rnade to analyze the action of some substaflces secreted from adrenal cortex and adrenal medulla.(3) On the basis of the above-mentioned outcome, a hypothesis that specific and nonspecif1c viscera-auriculo-acupoint responses are mixed has been rendered, The specific response here means the special relationship between certain parts of the auricle and certain viscera which forms the foundation of auriculo-acupoints, while the nonspecific one refers to the general or diffused response in the whole auricle resulting from the actions of all the viscera and other parts of the body. The specific response may be fulfilled by the sympathetic nerve, wh1le the nonspecific response is accomplished by both of sympathetic nerve and adrenal gland. The significance of the research may be concluded in the following: the mechanism of auricle diagnosis in clinic has been further understood; the diagnostic accurracy and the therapeutical effect could be raised and a new breakthrough for expounding the substance of meridians and collaterals could be made.展开更多

Aim: The purpose of this study was to look for facial asymmetry, measuring both sides of the mandible and external ear in the parents of these patients in a clinical way, to see if it could be considered as a minor manifestation of the disease. Patients and Methods: A clinical, observational study was done with 50 trios and their parents’ controls, at the Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitación LGII in 2019, from January to May. Mandible and ear measurements were done. Results: All of our patients had microtia and facial asymmetry, and in 17 cases, other anomalies. We compared both sides of the mandible in the patients’ parents and in the parents’ controls. The results showed differences only in the fathers, and in the comparison with the controls, we found statistical differences only in women, family and non-family cases. The ears did not show any differences. Discussion: It is very interesting that we found differences in the measurements of the mandible of the patients’ mothers and their controls;in the mothers the mandible was bigger than in the controls, this probably means that the development of the cranial structures is modified by some genetic variants. No differences were found in the measurements of the ears. Conclusion: It is very difficult to know exactly if the differences we found are important or not. The clinical measurements could be a good option to establish if the parents have minor manifestations that could explain some heritability.展开更多

It was confirmed that electro-stimulation on auriculo-stomachpoint could reduce the EGG amplitude at the gastric antrum and corpus in ulcer patients (P< 0 . 01 ) ; while noeffect could be found with electro-stimulation of Auriculo-Heart point and with supine posture only ( P > 0 . 05 ) .All three methods had no effects on EGG trequency at the gastric antrum and corpus ( P >0 . 05) . It was sug-gested that electrostimulation at Auriculo-Stomach point might be of certain therapeutic effect on patients withpeptic ulcer .展开更多

The second group was treated by auriculo-acupuncture with gentle moxibustion and the third one, with warm-needling moxibustion. Compari-son made in 138 cases revealed that the first group was very satisfactory, the cured rate being 100%,that of the 2nd and 3rd groups were 91. 3% and 82. 35% respectively. Statistical treatment revealedP【0.05 with significant difference between the first and second groups, P value between the firstand third groups was P【0.01, with very significant difference. There was no significant differencebetween the 2nd and 3rd groups, P】0.05.展开更多
