In order to provide a practicable solution to data confidentiality in cloud storage service,a data assured deletion scheme,which achieves the fine grained access control,hopping and sniffing attacks resistance,data dy...In order to provide a practicable solution to data confidentiality in cloud storage service,a data assured deletion scheme,which achieves the fine grained access control,hopping and sniffing attacks resistance,data dynamics and deduplication,is proposed.In our scheme,data blocks are encrypted by a two-level encryption approach,in which the control keys are generated from a key derivation tree,encrypted by an All-OrNothing algorithm and then distributed into DHT network after being partitioned by secret sharing.This guarantees that only authorized users can recover the control keys and then decrypt the outsourced data in an ownerspecified data lifetime.Besides confidentiality,data dynamics and deduplication are also achieved separately by adjustment of key derivation tree and convergent encryption.The analysis and experimental results show that our scheme can satisfy its security goal and perform the assured deletion with low cost.展开更多
Federated-learning-based active fault management(AFM)is devised to achieve real-time safety assurance for microgrids and the main grid during faults.AFM was originally formulated as a distributed optimization problem....Federated-learning-based active fault management(AFM)is devised to achieve real-time safety assurance for microgrids and the main grid during faults.AFM was originally formulated as a distributed optimization problem.Here,federated learning is used to train each microgrid’s network with training data achieved from distributed optimization.The main contribution of this work is to replace the optimization-based AFM control algorithm with a learning-based AFM control algorithm.The replacement transfers computation from online to offline.With this replacement,the control algorithm can meet real-time requirements for a system with dozens of microgrids.By contrast,distributed-optimization-based fault management can output reference values fast enough for a system with several microgrids.More microgrids,however,lead to more computation time with optimization-based method.Distributed-optimization-based fault management would fail real-time requirements for a system with dozens of microgrids.Controller hardware-in-the-loop real-time simulations demonstrate that learning-based AFM can output reference values within 10 ms irrespective of the number of microgrids.展开更多

Under the assumption that each arc's capacity is deterministic, the quickest path problem is to find a path sending a specific of data such that the transmission time is minimized. However, in many real-life networks such as computer networks, each arc has stochastic capacity, lead time and accuracy rate. Such a network is named a multi-state computer network. Under both assured accuracy rate and time constraints, we extend the quickest path problem to compute the probability that d units of data can be sent through multiple minimal paths simultaneously. Such a probability named system reliability is a performance indicator to provide to managers for understanding the ability of system and improvement. An efficient algorithm is proposed to evaluate the system reliability in terms of the approach of minimal paths.展开更多

Modern manufacturing processes have become more reliant on automation because of the accelerated transition from Industry 3.0 to Industry 4.0.Manual inspection of products on assembly lines remains inefficient,prone t...Modern manufacturing processes have become more reliant on automation because of the accelerated transition from Industry 3.0 to Industry 4.0.Manual inspection of products on assembly lines remains inefficient,prone to errors and lacks consistency,emphasizing the need for a reliable and automated inspection system.Leveraging both object detection and image segmentation approaches,this research proposes a vision-based solution for the detection of various kinds of tools in the toolkit using deep learning(DL)models.Two Intel RealSense D455f depth cameras were arranged in a top down configuration to capture both RGB and depth images of the toolkits.After applying multiple constraints and enhancing them through preprocessing and augmentation,a dataset consisting of 3300 annotated RGB-D photos was generated.Several DL models were selected through a comprehensive assessment of mean Average Precision(mAP),precision-recall equilibrium,inference latency(target≥30 FPS),and computational burden,resulting in a preference for YOLO and Region-based Convolutional Neural Networks(R-CNN)variants over ViT-based models due to the latter’s increased latency and resource requirements.YOLOV5,YOLOV8,YOLOV11,Faster R-CNN,and Mask R-CNN were trained on the annotated dataset and evaluated using key performance metrics(Recall,Accuracy,F1-score,and Precision).YOLOV11 demonstrated balanced excellence with 93.0%precision,89.9%recall,and a 90.6%F1-score in object detection,as well as 96.9%precision,95.3%recall,and a 96.5%F1-score in instance segmentation with an average inference time of 25 ms per frame(≈40 FPS),demonstrating real-time performance.Leveraging these results,a YOLOV11-based windows application was successfully deployed in a real-time assembly line environment,where it accurately processed live video streams to detect and segment tools within toolkits,demonstrating its practical effectiveness in industrial automation.The application is capable of precisely measuring socket dimensions by utilising edge detection techniques on YOLOv11 segmentation masks,in addition to detection and segmentation.This makes it possible to do specification-level quality control right on the assembly line,which improves the ability to examine things in real time.The implementation is a big step forward for intelligent manufacturing in the Industry 4.0 paradigm.It provides a scalable,efficient,and accurate way to do automated inspection and dimensional verification activities.展开更多
This study examines the effects of e-banking service quality on customer satisfaction in the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia(CBE)branches in Wolaita Sodo town.Using a causal research design,the study explored the cause-an...This study examines the effects of e-banking service quality on customer satisfaction in the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia(CBE)branches in Wolaita Sodo town.Using a causal research design,the study explored the cause-and-effect relationship between service quality dimensions and customer satisfaction.A sample of 385 customers was selected using convenience sampling,with 365 questionnaires returned.Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS V.21.The Cronbach’s alpha value of 0.72 from a pilot study confirmed reliability.Descriptive and inferential statistics,including multiple linear regression and one-way ANOVA,were employed.Results revealed that three service quality dimensions-responsiveness,reliability,and assurance-were statistically significant and positively influenced customer satisfaction,while two dimensions showed negative associations.The regression model’s coefficient of determination(R²)was 0.621,indicating a moderate explanatory power.Findings suggest that CBE managers and stakeholders should prioritize improving responsiveness,reliability,and assurance by providing prompt,dependable,and trustworthy services.Due to limitations in time and resources,this study was confined to CBE branches in Wolaita Sodo town;future research could expand to a national level or other service sectors.展开更多

With the development of offshore oil and gas resources,hydrates pose a significant challenge to flow assurance.Hydrates can form,accumulate,and settle in pipelines,causing blockages,reducing transport capacity,and lea...With the development of offshore oil and gas resources,hydrates pose a significant challenge to flow assurance.Hydrates can form,accumulate,and settle in pipelines,causing blockages,reducing transport capacity,and leading to significant economic losses and fatalities.As oil and gas exploration moves deeper into the ocean,the issue of hydrate blockages has become more severe.It is essential to take adequate measures promptly to mitigate the hazards of hydrate blockages after they form.However,a prerequisite for effective mitigation is accurately detecting the location and amount of hydrate formation.This article summarizes the temperature–pressure,acoustic,electrical,instrumental–response,and flow characteristics of hydrate formation and blocking under various conditions.It also analyzes the principles,limitations,and applicability of various blockage detection methods,including acoustic,transient,and fiber-optic-based methods.Finally,it lists the results of field experiments and commercially used products.Given their advantages of accuracy and a wide detection range,acoustic pulse reflectometry and transient-based methods are considered effective for detecting hydrate blockages in future underwater pipelines.Using strict backpressure warnings combined with accurate detection via acoustic pulse reflectometry or transient-based methods,efficient and timely diagnosis of hydrate blockages can be achieved.The use of a hydrate model combined with fiber optics could prove to be an effective method for detecting blockages in newly laid pipelines in the future.展开更多
This study examines the impact of banks’environmental,social,and governance(ESG)disclosure assurance(BEDA)on borrowing enterprises’ESG performance to investigate China’s bank-enterprise loan relationships.Using man...This study examines the impact of banks’environmental,social,and governance(ESG)disclosure assurance(BEDA)on borrowing enterprises’ESG performance to investigate China’s bank-enterprise loan relationships.Using manually collected bank loan relationship data and financial data of Chinese listed companies from 2010 to 2021,our findings reveal that BEDA significantly enhances borrowers’ESG performance.Moreover,this effect is more pronounced when banks have a higher information demand,better internal controls,and share auditors with borrowers;when borrowers operate in environmentally sensitive industries,and in the period following the Paris Agreement signing.Among the individual ESG subcategories,the impact of BEDA on borrowers’ESG performance is primarily reflected in environmental(E)and social(S)considerations.Finally,we do not find that BEDA significantly suppresses banks’greenwashing.These findings indicate that BEDA has an informational or advisory influence on banks’ESG governance rather than a supervisory role at this stage of sustainability reporting development.This study suggests that policymakers should guide BEDA’s evolution from a passive information tool to a proactive governance tool,facilitating enterprises in achieving sub‐stantive ESG transformations while reducing systemic greenwashing risks.展开更多
Hydrate phase transition may pose risks in pipeline blockage and severe challenges for offshore natural gas hydrate pro-duction.The present work involves the development of a multiphase gas-liquid-solid vertical slug ...Hydrate phase transition may pose risks in pipeline blockage and severe challenges for offshore natural gas hydrate pro-duction.The present work involves the development of a multiphase gas-liquid-solid vertical slug flow hydrodynamic model consi-dering hydrate phase transition kinetics with heat and mass transfer behaviors.The varying gas physical properties due to pressure and temperature variations are also introduced to evaluate vertical slug flow characteristics.The proposed model is used to carry out a series of numerical simulations to examine the interactions between hydrate phase transition and vertical slug flow hydrodynamics.Furthermore,the hydrate volumetric fractions under different pressure and temperature conditions are predicted.The results reveal that hydrate formation and gas expansion cause the mixture superficial velocity,and the gas and liquid fractions,void fraction in liq-uid slug,and unit length tend to decrease.The increase in outlet pressure leads to an increased hydrate formation rate,which not only increases the hydrate volumetric fraction along the pipe but also causes the upward shift of the hydrate phase transition critical point.展开更多

With the rapid advancement of information technology,the quality assurance and evaluation of software engineering education have become pivotal concerns for higher education institutions.In this paper,we focus on a co...With the rapid advancement of information technology,the quality assurance and evaluation of software engineering education have become pivotal concerns for higher education institutions.In this paper,we focus on a comparative study of software engineering education in China and Europe,aiming to explore the theoretical frameworks and practical pathways employed in both regions.Initially,we introduce and contrast the engineering education accreditation systems of China and Europe,including the Chinese engineering education accreditation framework and the European EUR-ACE(European Accreditation of Engineering Programmes)standards,highlighting their core principles and evaluation methodologies.Subsequently,we provide case studies of several universities in China and Europe,such as Sun Yat-sen University,Tsinghua University,Technical University of Munich,and Imperial College London.Finally,we offer recommendations to foster mutual learning and collaboration between Chinese and European institutions,aiming to enhance the overall quality of software engineering education globally.This work provides valuable insights for educational administrators,faculty members,and policymakers,contributing to the ongoing improvement and innovative development of software engineering education in China and Europe.展开更多

文摘Hydrate phase transition may pose risks in pipeline blockage and severe challenges for offshore natural gas hydrate pro-duction.The present work involves the development of a multiphase gas-liquid-solid vertical slug flow hydrodynamic model consi-dering hydrate phase transition kinetics with heat and mass transfer behaviors.The varying gas physical properties due to pressure and temperature variations are also introduced to evaluate vertical slug flow characteristics.The proposed model is used to carry out a series of numerical simulations to examine the interactions between hydrate phase transition and vertical slug flow hydrodynamics.Furthermore,the hydrate volumetric fractions under different pressure and temperature conditions are predicted.The results reveal that hydrate formation and gas expansion cause the mixture superficial velocity,and the gas and liquid fractions,void fraction in liq-uid slug,and unit length tend to decrease.The increase in outlet pressure leads to an increased hydrate formation rate,which not only increases the hydrate volumetric fraction along the pipe but also causes the upward shift of the hydrate phase transition critical point.

文摘In response to the current issues in the construction of software engineering(SE)degree granting program,such as insufficient resource integration,low level of internationalization,and inadequate quality control,we propose the Software Engineering Degree Granting Program Construction Practice Project at Harbin Institute of Technology(HIT).This project aims to explore new models for software talent cultivation,establish a superior SE degree granting program,and ultimately cultivate outstanding internationalized composite SE professionals to support the high-quality development of the national software industry.To this end,we design a distinctive overall construction idea and plan for the SE degree granting program,which are characterized by“3I3S:three highlights for specialized cultivation and strictness in three aspects to ensure quality control”.After years of practice and validation of the project at the School of Software at HIT,this project has proven effective in optimizing talent cultivation models,enhancing students’practical abilities,promoting international exchange and cooperation,advancing industry-education integration,and meeting industrial needs.

文摘With the rapid advancement of information technology,the quality assurance and evaluation of software engineering education have become pivotal concerns for higher education institutions.In this paper,we focus on a comparative study of software engineering education in China and Europe,aiming to explore the theoretical frameworks and practical pathways employed in both regions.Initially,we introduce and contrast the engineering education accreditation systems of China and Europe,including the Chinese engineering education accreditation framework and the European EUR-ACE(European Accreditation of Engineering Programmes)standards,highlighting their core principles and evaluation methodologies.Subsequently,we provide case studies of several universities in China and Europe,such as Sun Yat-sen University,Tsinghua University,Technical University of Munich,and Imperial College London.Finally,we offer recommendations to foster mutual learning and collaboration between Chinese and European institutions,aiming to enhance the overall quality of software engineering education globally.This work provides valuable insights for educational administrators,faculty members,and policymakers,contributing to the ongoing improvement and innovative development of software engineering education in China and Europe.
文摘This paper reviews the history and lessons of global oil crises while exploring the establishment of a quantitative evaluation model for oil security with Chinese characteristics.Using principal component analysis,it constructs an oil security evaluation indicator system for China with two main-level indicators:foreign oil dependency and its impacts,and market intervention and security assurance.
