This paper deals with the numerical solutions of two-dimensional(2D)semi-linear reaction-diffusion equations(SLRDEs)with piecewise continuous argument(PCA)in reaction term.A high-order compact difference method called...This paper deals with the numerical solutions of two-dimensional(2D)semi-linear reaction-diffusion equations(SLRDEs)with piecewise continuous argument(PCA)in reaction term.A high-order compact difference method called Ⅰ-type basic scheme is developed for solving the equations and it is proved under the suitable conditions that this method has the computational accuracy O(τ^(2)+h_(x)^(4)+h_(y)^(4)),where τ,h_(x )and h_(y) are the calculation stepsizes of the method in t-,x-and y-direction,respectively.With the above method and Newton linearized technique,a Ⅱ-type basic scheme is also suggested.Based on the both basic schemes,the corresponding Ⅰ-and Ⅱ-type alternating direction implicit(ADI)schemes are derived.Finally,with a series of numerical experiments,the computational accuracy and efficiency of the four numerical schemes are further illustrated.展开更多
This study aims to reveal the prototypical argumentative patterns employed in situations where patient distrust arises in China.Based on the quantitative analysis of data from a general social survey,we focus on a dis...This study aims to reveal the prototypical argumentative patterns employed in situations where patient distrust arises in China.Based on the quantitative analysis of data from a general social survey,we focus on a distinctive phenomenon that while a majority of Chinese respondents trust the medical profession as a whole,significant distrust exists toward doctors'skills and ethics,particularly among older,urban,and higher income populations.Qualtatively,we employ Generalized Argumentation Theory to analyze Chinese clinical dialogues,identifying three kinds of prototypical argumentative patterns in situations of patient distrust.Methodologically,this article shows the value of combining statistical analysis with goal-oriented Generalized Argumentation research to reconcile the tricky trust phenomenon of Chinese doctor-patient communication.展开更多

This manuscript purposed to convince stockholders and policymakers of the negative imp...Physical restraint is one of the most controversial methods in managing aggressive behaviors and maintaining patients' safety. This manuscript purposed to convince stockholders and policymakers of the negative impact of physical restraint on patients' psychological and physical health. The current authors review the ethical and legal underpinnings of the opponents' and proponents' views. On one hand, there is a clear violation of the main principles of the code of ethics. Autonomy and justice;as the patients are tied against their will and without obtaining their consent, non-maleficent;as physical restraints are reported in many cases of physical and psychological traumas, thus many agencies prohibited the use of physical restraints as a safety method to be replaced with other deescalating techniques. On the other hand, physical restraints are a precious method in controlling aggressive behaviors and maintaining patients' safety, which is the selective beneficence in providing patient care. Also, most of the same agencies who prohibited the use of restraints, agreed the use of physical restraint as the last resor t.Summary statement What is already known about this topic?· Currently, physical restraint is used as the first accessible method to manage patients' behaviors, without considering the negative aura that surrounds the way of treatment. This paper deals with numerical computation and analysis for the initial boundary problems of two dimensional(2D)Sobolev equations with piecewise continuous argument.Firstly,a two-level high-order compact difference m...This paper deals with numerical computation and analysis for the initial boundary problems of two dimensional(2D)Sobolev equations with piecewise continuous argument.Firstly,a two-level high-order compact difference method(HOCDM)with computational accuracy O(τ^(2)+h_(x)^(4)+h_(y)^(4))is suggested,whereτ,h_(x),h_(y) denote the temporal and spatial stepsizes of the method,respectively.In order to improve the temporal computational accuracy of this method,the Richardson extrapolation technique is used and thus a new two-level HOCDMis derived,which is proved to be convergent of order four both in time and space.Although the new two-level HOCDM has the higher computational accuracy in time than the previous one,it will bring a larger computational cost.To overcome this deficiency,a three-level HOCDM with computational accuracy O(τ^(4)+h_(x)^(4)+h_(y)^(4))is constructed.Finally,with a series of numerical experiments,the theoretical accuracy and computational efficiency of the above methods are further verified.展开更多

The reactor pressure vessel(RPV)is susceptible to brittle fracture due to the influence of ion irradiation and high temperature,which presents a significant risk to the safe operation of nuclear reactors.It has been d...The reactor pressure vessel(RPV)is susceptible to brittle fracture due to the influence of ion irradiation and high temperature,which presents a significant risk to the safe operation of nuclear reactors.It has been demonstrated that pulsed electric current can effectively address the issue of embrittlement in RPV steel.However,the relationship between pulse parameters(duty ratio,frequency,current,and time)and the effectiveness of pulse current processing has not been systematically studied.The application of machine learning methods enables autonomous exploration and learning of the relationship between data.Consequently,this study proposes a machine learning method based on the random forest model to establish the relationship between the parameters of electrical pulses and the repair effect of RPV steel.A generative adversarial network is employed to enhance data diversity and scalability,while a particle swarm optimization algorithm is utilized to optimize the initialization weights and biases of the random forest model,aiming to improve the model’s fitting ability and training performance.The results indicate that the coefficient of determination R-square(R^(2)),root mean squared error and mean absolute error values are 0.934,0.045,and 0.036,respectively,suggesting that the model has the potential to predict the performance recovery of RPV steel after pulsed electric field treatment.The prediction of the impact of pulse current parameters on the repair effect will help to enhance and optimize the repair process,thereby providing a scientific basis for pulse current repair processing.展开更多

This claim arises from the fact that what characterizes a people＇s linguistic norm takes its rise from the totality of the people＇s sociocultural practices of which meaningful verbal sounds are of great essence. The meaningful verbal sounds serve as the chief instrument for communicating meanings, feelings, ideas, and abstractions. Whereas the existence of Nigerian English is no doubt, what constitutes its standard variety has been under contestation. In this write up, argument on standardization of Nigerian English is built-up on the basis of the various stages which the language has passed through and is still passing through in Nigeria. Argumentatively, standard variety of Nigerian English is identified and examined with the aim of demonstrating how efforts in standardizing it are made through empirically reliable criteria.展开更多

文摘In this note,we consider the following degenerate parabolic equation studied in[F.Chiarenza and R.Serapioni,Degenerate parabolic equations and Harnack inequality,Ann.Mat.Pura Appl.137(1984)]i.e.,■ where f=(f^(1),...,f^(n))andΩis a bounded domain in Rn with Lipschitz boundary,n≥2 and T>0.In this paper,we apply Moser iteration argument to build up the explicit relationship among the coefficients ai,j(x,t),f and the maximum norm of the solution.Meanwhile,we also find that the weighed Lebesgue space L^(2l/(l-1))to which f belongs is essentially sharp in order to establish local boundedness of the solution.Here the definition of l is found in Lemma 2.3.Our results cover the well-known results.

The multi dimensional problem was reduced to a one dimensional oscillation problem for ordinary differential equations or inequalities. The multi dimensional problem was reduced to a one dimensional oscillation problem for ordinary differential equations or inequalities. Results and Conclusion The known results of oscillation of solutions for a class of boundary value problem of hyperbolic partial functional differential equations with discrete deviating arguments are generalized, and the oscillatory criteria of solutions for such equation with two kinds of boundary value conditions are obtained.
文摘Based on the perspective of the schema theory and modern education technology,In this paper,the method of ran dom experimnet is used to measure how two types of schema instruction‘video clip’and‘multimedia courseware’influence Chinese college students’reading comprehension of English argumentation.The results illustrate the schema instruction can not only develop the students’sensibility of English argumentation structure,but also activate the schema in students’memory.Mul timedia courseware instruction is superior to video clip instruction.The paper proposes its viewpoints concerned.
文摘Aim To study properties of solutions to a class of second order differential inequality with continuous distributed deviating arguments. Methods A direct analysis technique was used. Results and Conclusion Some sufficient conditions that ensure a class of second order delay differential inequality having no eventually positive solutions were obtained, which generalized some given results. Using the results, some oscillatory criteria for solutions of the hyperbolic equation with distributed deviating arguments can be established.

文摘It is difficult to deny the existence of Nigerian English, just as it is difficult to deny the existence of British English and American English. This claim arises from the fact that what characterizes a people＇s linguistic norm takes its rise from the totality of the people＇s sociocultural practices of which meaningful verbal sounds are of great essence. The meaningful verbal sounds serve as the chief instrument for communicating meanings, feelings, ideas, and abstractions. Whereas the existence of Nigerian English is no doubt, what constitutes its standard variety has been under contestation. In this write up, argument on standardization of Nigerian English is built-up on the basis of the various stages which the language has passed through and is still passing through in Nigeria. Argumentatively, standard variety of Nigerian English is identified and examined with the aim of demonstrating how efforts in standardizing it are made through empirically reliable criteria.
文摘This study investigated the effect of explicit instruction about DCs in argumentative writings by 15 Chinese learners of English. This study involved in a 4-week experiment. Pre-and post-writing tests were quantitatively analyzed to examine whether the explicit instruction about DCs had a significant effect on the students'argumentative writing. The findings revealed that the ex-plicit instruction of the target DCs facilitated the improvement of the participants in their argumentative writing .
