Technical colleges should grasp the characteristics of flexible and diverse training of new apprenticeship talents and speed up the development of technical education. Teachers are the main force to promote the construction of technical education. By analyzing the new requirements of the new apprenticeship system on the construction of technical teachers, it is found that there are problems such as unreasonable structure, the unobstructed circulation mechanism of enterprises and schools, the imperfect assessment and evaluation mechanism, and the imperfect system guarantee measures. On this basis, it is proposed to strengthen the construction of professional teams, the two-way flow of enterprises and schools, the drive of performance assessment to mobilize teachers and officers, and the government to accelerate the construction of teachers in technical colleges.展开更多

This study utilized a sequential mediating model to examine the role of motivation to learn and transfer selfefficacy in the relationships between perceived content validity,mentoring function,continuous learning work...This study utilized a sequential mediating model to examine the role of motivation to learn and transfer selfefficacy in the relationships between perceived content validity,mentoring function,continuous learning work culture and intention to transfer learning.The sample comprized 429 final-year apprentices in Guangdong province,China(females=69.9%,Engineering&Medicine=69%,mean age=20.99,SD=1.60).The apprentices completed standardized measures of motivation to learn,transfer self-efficacy perceived content validity,mentoring function,and continuous learning work culture.Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data.Results showed perceived content validity,mentoring function,continuous learning culture to predict intention to transfer learning.Of these factors,perceived content validity was the strongest predictor of intention to transfer learning.Of these factors,perceived content validity was the most influential predictor of intention to transfer learning.The motivation to learn and transfer self-efficacy sequentially mediated the relationship between mentoring function and intention to learning transfer to be stronger than by either alone.Although perceived content validity and continuous learning culture exhibited no significant direct effects on intention to transfer learning,they demonstrated positive indirect associations with intention to transfer via motivation to learn and transfer self-efficacy.These study findings extend the applications of the learning transfer framework to individuals undergoing apprenticeship training which also would apply to other a long-term work-based learning programs.展开更多

This study ...While the basic model of learning masculinity is fathers, how, exactly, a fatherless boy learned masculity? How and where did the children growing up without traditional family structure learn to be men? This study examines a specific group of children – young apprentices in medeival England – in order to reconstruct how fatherless sons learned the concept of masculinity. To further the question – did the separation of their natal fathers during their youth made boys less masculine? By examining the indentures, court records and various administrative records, this study demonstrates that, apprentices went through more masculine relationships than the children grew up with their fathers’ prescence, because masters wielded he supreme power which made them de facto “surrogate fathers”. This study also manisfests that apprenticeship was the extension of fatherhood, because it led apprentices to experience absolute subordination to their masters, reducing them to the position of “full-dependence” in their social communities.展开更多

However, in the practical situation of the higher vocational institutions, the implementation of modem apprenticeship is still faced with lots of problems. It is the author's opinion that the government and higher vocational institutions should overall integrate the planning for scientific and systematic designing of the implementation of modem apprenticeship to create an integrated environment for the enterprises to actively participate in the higher vocational education.
