Currently, there is no quantitative way of measuring WiMAX technology so that wireless operators can meet their design objectives. This paper outlines a set of design criteria for WiMAX and provides a decision-making aid that ranks the importance of criteria using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). This ranking should sufficiently reflect market expectations of the relative importance of various design criteria. A model integrating AHP priorities with enhanced Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is the basis for formulating a technological value in simple, comparable format. A case study is provided to show how this technological value is used to evaluate a three year network deployment plan. In the future, this model could be extended to WiMAX equipment suppliers for the purpose of validating performance targets of individual criteria, and enhancing supplier roadmaps for future network development.展开更多

Results The killing rate was 99.43% in Decosept group,and 99.26% in iodine group. There was no obvious difference between the two groups. There is growing interest in applying machine learning techniques in the research of materials science.However,although it is recognized that materials datasets are typically smaller and sometimes more diverse compare...There is growing interest in applying machine learning techniques in the research of materials science.However,although it is recognized that materials datasets are typically smaller and sometimes more diverse compared to other fields,the influence of availability of materials data on training machine learning models has not yet been studied,which prevents the possibility to establish accurate predictive rules using small materials datasets.Here we analyzed the fundamental interplay between the availability of materials data and the predictive capability of machine learning models.Instead of affecting the model precision directly,the effect of data size is mediated by the degree of freedom(DoF)of model,resulting in the phenomenon of association between precision and DoF.The appearance of precision–DoF association signals the issue of underfitting and is characterized by large bias of prediction,which consequently restricts the accurate prediction in unknown domains.We proposed to incorporate the crude estimation of property in the feature space to establish ML models using small sized materials data,which increases the accuracy of prediction without the cost of higher DoF.In three case studies of predicting the band gap of binary semiconductors,lattice thermal conductivity,and elastic properties of zeolites,the integration of crude estimation effectively boosted the predictive capability of machine learning models to state-of-art levels,demonstrating the generality of the proposed strategy to construct accurate machine learning models using small materials dataset.展开更多

The tracheas of adult rats were obtained by autopsy within 30 minut...In order to study the physiological or pathophysiological responsiveness, airway smooth muscle cells were isolated from the rat trachea and cultured. The tracheas of adult rats were obtained by autopsy within 30 minutes after death and placed into a modified Hank’s solution. The experiments were performed on the large branches of the rat bronchi following entry into the lung. At the terminal level of the airway, no cartilage segments were seen. The muscle layer was prepared by careful removal of the connective tissue, cut into small pieces (1 mm3), and dispersed enzymatically (collagenase, elastase) into single cells. Freshly isolated cells could be used the same day. The small muscle pieces and isolated cells were cultured in the modified Hank’s or modified Eagle’s medium with 5% CO2 at 37℃ .展开更多
