Objective:To explore the application value of the modified Peyton’s four-step teaching method in bridge experimental courses for undergraduate medical students.Methods:100 undergraduate medical students from Bethune ...Objective:To explore the application value of the modified Peyton’s four-step teaching method in bridge experimental courses for undergraduate medical students.Methods:100 undergraduate medical students from Bethune Hospital of Shanxi from July 2023 to July 2024 were selected and grouped using a random number method.The control group received a conventional training program,while the observation group received a modified Peyton’s four-step teaching and training program.The DOPS scores and teaching satisfaction scores of the two groups of undergraduate medical students were compared.Results:After intervention,the scores of each dimension of the DOPS for the undergraduate medical students in the observation group were higher than those in the control group.The teaching satisfaction scores of the undergraduate medical students after teaching were lower in the control group than in the observation group.The differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The modified Peyton’s four-step teaching program developed in this study can promote teaching and learning methods for undergraduate medical students,improve teaching satisfaction levels,and help administrators stabilize the medical team.展开更多
Objective:This study aimed to explore undergraduates’knowledge,attitude,and practice/behavior of human papillomavirus(HPV)vaccination,as well as the essential influencing factors for vaccination decision-making.Metho...Objective:This study aimed to explore undergraduates’knowledge,attitude,and practice/behavior of human papillomavirus(HPV)vaccination,as well as the essential influencing factors for vaccination decision-making.Methods:Through cluster and convenience sampling,2000 undergraduates from the Nursing and Language department of a university in Shanghai were sent a self-designed questionnaire.Chi-square tests,independent sample t-test/ANOVE,and multiple linear regression were used to investigate participants’knowledge and attitude on HPV vaccination,as well as the factors that predicted potential action to receive and promote HPV vaccination in the future.Results:The mean HPV knowledge score was 5.027 out of 10.Health science students showed a significantly higher knowledge mean score than the non-health science students(P<0.000).There was a statistically difference in HPV vaccination attitude among undergraduates in different grades(P<0.05).Awareness of cervical cancer and worries about the risk of cervical cancer were the significant predictors of willingness to receive and promote HPV vaccination in the future.Conclusions:It would take time for a new health product to be aware,understood,accepted,and received.Education providing and information sharing are expected to break the dawn and make the procedure processed.展开更多

Methods: Using the methodological framework of Arksey and O’Malley’s scoping review, six literature databases were searched, including CNKI, Wanfang, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, PudMed, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect. Studies on the factors influencing undergraduate nursing students’ PSC from database inception to July 31, 2023, were reviewed and data extracted. Results: A total of 1,955 articles were retrieved, and 27 studies were included. The current status of PSC primarily focuses on self-perception. Factors influencing undergraduate nursing students’ PSC are mainly individual and demographic, while external factors include various teaching methods and environments. PSC impacts professional maturity, mental health, self-concept, and pre-internship stress among nursing students. Conclusion: PSC profoundly influences undergraduate nursing students’ future career choices and professional development. Nursing educators and administrators should adopt measures to enhance and improve PSC levels, thereby fostering a larger pool of nursing professionals.展开更多

Objective:To explore the application effect of Problem-Based Learning(PBL)teaching method based on situational simulation videos in undergraduate teaching of internal medicine,and to provide practical basis for optimi...Objective:To explore the application effect of Problem-Based Learning(PBL)teaching method based on situational simulation videos in undergraduate teaching of internal medicine,and to provide practical basis for optimizing the undergraduate teaching mode of internal medicine and improving teaching quality.Methods:A total of 32 undergraduate students majoring in clinical medicine(Grade 2021)from Shanghai University of Medicine&Health Sciences were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into an experimental group and a control group by random number table method,with 16 students in each group.The control group adopted the traditional PBL teaching method,while the experimental group used the PBL teaching method based on situational simulation videos.After the teaching,the mastery of theoretical knowledge of students in the two groups was evaluated by examinations;a questionnaire survey was conducted to assess students’self-perceived improvement in clinical thinking,learning interest,self-directed learning ability and teamwork ability;statistical methods were used to analyze the data.Results:The scores of theoretical knowledge examination of students in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).In terms of self-evaluation,the experimental group showed better performance than the control group in the cultivation of clinical thinking,learning interest and selfdirected learning ability,with statistically significant differences(p<0.05);however,there was no statistically significant difference in the self-evaluation of teamwork ability between the two groups(p>0.05).Conclusion:The PBL teaching method based on situational simulation videos can effectively improve students’level of theoretical knowledge,enhance their clinical thinking,learning interest and self-directed learning ability in undergraduate teaching of internal medicine,and is worthy of further promotion and application in undergraduate teaching of internal medicine.展开更多

However, t...Background: COVID-19 had become much less virulent but still infectious, and China had loosened controls on its prevention after three years of zero-COVID policy. Nursing students were faced with infection. However, the symptoms of the vast majority of them were not serious. Objectives: To understand the feelings and thoughts of nursing undergraduates first infected with COVID-19 after implementing the policy of loosening controls on COVID-19 prevention in China. Methods: A semi-structured in-depth interview was adopted to collect data from 19 nursing undergraduates in a nursing school in China in January 2023, which were then analyzed using the Colaizzi analysis method. Results: Two main themes and seven sub-themes were induced: feelings after the diagnosis of being infected (feeling calm by professional confidence, feeling afraid of the consequences of being infected, feeling depressed, feeling relieved/lucky/happy), and thoughts brought by COVID-19 infection (becoming more active in learning, committed to a nursing career, and feeling shaken about becoming a nurse). Conclusions: Schools and hospitals should pay attention to infected nursing students’ mental reactions and changes in study motivation and professional intention. Targeted measures, such as education for epidemic prevention and education for cultivating the professional spirit, should be taken to promote their mental health and reserve their talents for nursing.展开更多

文摘The graduation project(thesis)in vocational undergraduate education aims to demonstrate students’comprehensive application of acquired knowledge and professional skills,with an emphasis on industry-oriented practical implementation.This paper first identifies key issues in vocational undergraduate graduation projects,then proposes solutions using the“Four Truths”principle adopted by electronic information majors at Xi’an Vocational University of Automobile.This approach requires students to solve real-world enterprise problems,deliver tangible outcomes,and gain practical competencies.Improvement measures include:optimizing topic selection to integrate theory with practice;enhancing school-enterprise collaboration to boost corporate involvement;implementing a“dualtutor”system with jointly built training bases;and refining evaluation mechanisms to increase student engagement.These strategies collectively elevate the quality of vocational undergraduate graduation projects.
文摘Vocational undergraduate education has entered a new stage of high-quality development,making the cultivation of students'learning ability a core issue in enhancing talent cultivation quality.This study conducted a questionnaire survey with 177 students majoring in integrated circuits at Shenzhen Polytechnic University(SZPU),focusing on six dimensions:self-learning proficiency,academic competence,goal planning,self-discipline,learning initiative,and learning environment.The results indicate that while students possess a solid learning foundation and clear career planning,significant deficiencies exist in the execution of academic plans,self-discipline,and learning initiative.In response to these issues,this study proposes four systematic improvement pathways from the institutional perspective:establishing a closed-loop academic navigation system incorporating“goal-process-feedback”,creating an immersive“virtual-physical integrated”learning environment,implementing a multi-dimensional“cognitive-affective-practical”initiative activation plan,and building a synergistic cultivation mechanism for“self-discipline and core competencies”.The findings aim to provide references for talent cultivation and teaching reform in vocational undergraduate integrated circuit programs.
文摘Objective: To conduct a scoping review of research on the professional self-concept (PSC) of undergraduate nursing students, comprehensively analyzing its status, influencing factors, and significance, and providing a reference for enhancing the PSC of undergraduate nursing students in China. Methods: Using the methodological framework of Arksey and O’Malley’s scoping review, six literature databases were searched, including CNKI, Wanfang, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, PudMed, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect. Studies on the factors influencing undergraduate nursing students’ PSC from database inception to July 31, 2023, were reviewed and data extracted. Results: A total of 1,955 articles were retrieved, and 27 studies were included. The current status of PSC primarily focuses on self-perception. Factors influencing undergraduate nursing students’ PSC are mainly individual and demographic, while external factors include various teaching methods and environments. PSC impacts professional maturity, mental health, self-concept, and pre-internship stress among nursing students. Conclusion: PSC profoundly influences undergraduate nursing students’ future career choices and professional development. Nursing educators and administrators should adopt measures to enhance and improve PSC levels, thereby fostering a larger pool of nursing professionals.

文摘As an innovative educational mode,“Secondary-to-Undergraduate Articulation”refers to the integrated training mode between secondary vocational education and undergraduate education.For over a decade,various regions have explored training modes such as“3+4”and“five-year consistent system,”and Jiangsu Province has widely promoted and applied them.Various regions have established curriculum systems and teaching quality assurance mechanisms to promote the alignment between talent cultivation and industry demand.“Secondary-to-Undergraduate Articulation”provides students with dual opportunities for further education and employment,promotes efficient allocation of educational resources,and serves regional economic development.In the future,further improvement and optimization are needed to promote the high-quality development of the mode.The study helps to reveal the theoretical and practical path of integrating secondary vocational education with undergraduate education.
文摘With the further development of economic globalization and the internationalization of higher education in our country,it has become a top priority to cultivate interdisciplinary economics talents with an international vision and cross-cultural communication ability.As an important way to achieve this goal,bilingual teaching of economics is particularly important in the early undergraduate stage,but it also faces many challenges.This paper aims to analyze the core objectives and existing difficulties of bilingual teaching of economics for junior undergraduates,constructing a bilingual teaching model with the core of“student-centered,hierarchical,and progressive,online and offline integration.”From the curriculum,teaching methods,resource construction,assessment,and other aspects of the specific implementation path,it is expected to provide useful references for improving the quality of bilingual teaching of economics and effectively cultivating internationalized introductory talents in economics.

文摘Against the backdrop of employment pressure,pursuing graduate studies has become a crucial pathway for undergraduate students to enhance employment competitiveness and alleviate employment challenges.However,the recent downward trend in graduate school applicants has rendered the improvement of undergraduates’willingness to pursue advanced degrees an urgent practical issue.This study employs a questionnaire survey method to empirically investigate the influencing factors of undergraduates’intention to pursue graduate studies.The findings reveal that at the individual level,preparation difficulty,preparation pressure,clarity of goals,and academic planning significantly affect students’willingness to pursue graduate studies.At the family level,preparation costs and family atmosphere exert substantial influence on this decision-making process.Accordingly,this paper proposes enhancement strategies from both individual and family perspectives to improve enrollment rates.Students should establish clear academic objectives and strengthen psychological adjustment,while families ought to provide robust financial support and foster harmonious environments.These recommendations aim to effectively boost undergraduates’motivation for graduate education.

文摘Objective:To explore the application effect of Problem-Based Learning(PBL)teaching method based on situational simulation videos in undergraduate teaching of internal medicine,and to provide practical basis for optimizing the undergraduate teaching mode of internal medicine and improving teaching quality.Methods:A total of 32 undergraduate students majoring in clinical medicine(Grade 2021)from Shanghai University of Medicine&Health Sciences were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into an experimental group and a control group by random number table method,with 16 students in each group.The control group adopted the traditional PBL teaching method,while the experimental group used the PBL teaching method based on situational simulation videos.After the teaching,the mastery of theoretical knowledge of students in the two groups was evaluated by examinations;a questionnaire survey was conducted to assess students’self-perceived improvement in clinical thinking,learning interest,self-directed learning ability and teamwork ability;statistical methods were used to analyze the data.Results:The scores of theoretical knowledge examination of students in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).In terms of self-evaluation,the experimental group showed better performance than the control group in the cultivation of clinical thinking,learning interest and selfdirected learning ability,with statistically significant differences(p<0.05);however,there was no statistically significant difference in the self-evaluation of teamwork ability between the two groups(p>0.05).Conclusion:The PBL teaching method based on situational simulation videos can effectively improve students’level of theoretical knowledge,enhance their clinical thinking,learning interest and self-directed learning ability in undergraduate teaching of internal medicine,and is worthy of further promotion and application in undergraduate teaching of internal medicine.

文摘While the digital transformation brings new development opportunities to the field of vocational education,it also makes it face unprecedented challenges.In order to adapt to the trend of digital transformation,vocational undergraduate colleges need to improve their school-running level and promote educational reform by building“dual-qualified”teacher teams.Based on this,the author first analyzes the construction requirements of“dual-qualified”teacher teams and the common problems in specific operations,such as the weak practical teaching ability of full-time teachers,the imperfect teacher growth mechanism,and the insufficient in-depth school-enterprise cooperation.Then,aiming at the actual problems,it discusses the advantages and practical paths of building“dual-qualified”teacher teams in vocational undergraduate education empowered by digital technology,aiming to provide suggestions for the high-quality development of vocational education.

文摘Applied undergraduate universities are an important component of China’s higher education system,aimed at cultivating applied and versatile talents.Their adherence to the integration of industry and education and the coordinated innovation of ideological and political education is not only a strategic choice to respond to the fundamental task of national moral education,but also a key path to solving the talent paradox of“strong skills,weak literacy.”This article is based on the current situation of the integration of industry and education and the development of ideological and political education in application-oriented undergraduate universities.It deeply analyzes the collaborative mechanism and practical difficulties between the two in terms of goals,processes,and resources.It innovatively proposes a strategy for the coordinated development of ideological and political education in application-oriented undergraduate universities under the background of industry-education integration,which has important practical significance for achieving the organic unity of the education chain,industry chain,and talent chain of application-oriented universities.
文摘Background: COVID-19 had become much less virulent but still infectious, and China had loosened controls on its prevention after three years of zero-COVID policy. Nursing students were faced with infection. However, the symptoms of the vast majority of them were not serious. Objectives: To understand the feelings and thoughts of nursing undergraduates first infected with COVID-19 after implementing the policy of loosening controls on COVID-19 prevention in China. Methods: A semi-structured in-depth interview was adopted to collect data from 19 nursing undergraduates in a nursing school in China in January 2023, which were then analyzed using the Colaizzi analysis method. Results: Two main themes and seven sub-themes were induced: feelings after the diagnosis of being infected (feeling calm by professional confidence, feeling afraid of the consequences of being infected, feeling depressed, feeling relieved/lucky/happy), and thoughts brought by COVID-19 infection (becoming more active in learning, committed to a nursing career, and feeling shaken about becoming a nurse). Conclusions: Schools and hospitals should pay attention to infected nursing students’ mental reactions and changes in study motivation and professional intention. Targeted measures, such as education for epidemic prevention and education for cultivating the professional spirit, should be taken to promote their mental health and reserve their talents for nursing.
