To improve the safety of construction workers and help workers remotely control humanoid robots in construc-tion,this study designs and implements a computer vision based virtual construction simulation system.For this pur-pose,human skeleton motion data are collected using a Ki-nect depth camera,and the obtained data are optimized via abnormal data elimination,smoothing,and normalization.MediaPipe extracts three-dimensional hand motion coordi-nates for accurate human posture tracking.Blender is used to build a virtual worker and site model,and the virtual worker motion is controlled based on the quaternion inverse kinematics algorithm while limiting the joint angle to en-hance the authenticity of motion simulation.Experimental results show that the system frame rate is stable at 60 frame/s,end-to-end delay is less than 20 ms,and virtual task comple-tion time is close to the real scene,verifying its engineering applicability.The proposed system can drive virtual work-ers to perform tasks and provide technical support for con-struction safety training. 展开更多

Geostress Evolution and Construction Parameter Optimization in Shale Gas Infill Well Development

The shale gas development in China faces challenges such as complex reservoir conditions and high development costs.Based on the pore pressure and geostress coupling theory,this paper studies the geostress evolution laws and fracture network characteristics of shale gas infill wells.A mechanism model of CN platform logging data and geomechanical parameters is established to simulate the influence of parent well’s production on the geostress in the infill well area.It is suggested that with the increase of production time,normal fault stress state and horizontal stress deflection will occur.The smaller the parent well spacing and the longer the production time,the earlier the normal fault stress state appears and the larger the range.Based on the model,the fracture network morphology and construction parameters of infill wells are optimized.parentparentparentparent The results indicate that:1:A well spacing of 500 m achieves a Pareto optimum between“full reserve coverage”and“stress barrier”;2:A parent well recovery degree of 30%corresponds to the critical point of stress reversal,where the lateral deflection rate of the infill fracture is less than 8%and the SRV loss is minimized;3:6-cluster intensive completion with twice the liquid intensity increases the fracture complexity index by 1.7 times,enhances well group EUR by 15.4%,and reduces single-well cost by 22%.This research fills the theoretical gap in the collaborative optimization of“multi-parameter,multi-objective and multi-constraint”and provide parameter optimization basis for shale gas infill well development in China and help to improve the development efficiency and economic benefits. 展开更多

A shield machine with freezing function is proposed in order to realize tool change operation at atmospheric pressure. Furthermore, the transformation project of freezing cutterhead and tool change maintenance method are put forward. Taking the shield construction of Huanxi Power Tunnel as an example, a numerical analysis of the freezing cutter head of the project was carried out. The results show that when the brine temperature is-25 °C, after 30 d of freezing, the thickness of the frozen wall can reach 0.67 m and the average temperature drops to-9.9 °C. When the brine temperature is-30 °C, after 50 d of freezing, the thickness of the frozen wall can reach 1.01 m and the average temperature drops to-12.4 °C. If the thickness of the frozen wall is 0.5 m and the average temperature is-10 °C, as the design index of the frozen wall, the brine temperature should be lower than-28 °C to meet the excavation requirements in 30 d. Analyzing the frozen wall stress under 0.5 m thickness and-10 °C average temperature condition, the tensile safety factor and compressive safety factor are both greater than 2 at the most dangerous position, which can meet the tool change requirements for shield construction. 展开更多

The mathematical logic model of high arch dam construction process was established. By combining dynamic construction simulation with schedule analysis, the process of construction schedule forecasting and analysis based on dynamic simulation was studied. The process of real-time schedule control was constructed and some measures for dynamic adjustment and control of construction schedule were provided. A system developed with the method is utilized in a being constructed hydroelectric project located at the Yellow River in northwest China, which can make the pouring plan of the dam in the next stage (a month, quarter or year) to guide the practical construction. The application result shows that the system provides an effective technical support for the construction and management of the dam. 展开更多

Urban construction land has relatively high human activity and high carbon emissions.Research on urban construction land prediction under carbon peak and neutrality goals(hereafter“dual carbon”goals)is important for territorial spatial planning.This study analyzed quantitative relationships between carbon emissions and urban construction land,and then modified the construction land demand prediction model.Thereafter,an integrated model for urban construction land demand prediction and spatial pattern simulation under“dual carbon”goals was developed,where urban construction land suitability was modified based on carbon source and sink capacity of different land-use types.Using Guangzhou as a case study,the integrated model was validated and applied to simulate the spatiotemporal dynamics of its urban construction land during 2030–2060 under baseline development and“dual carbon”goals scenarios.The simulation results showed that Guangzhou’s urban construction land expanded rapidly until 2030,with the spatial pattern not showing an intensive development trend.Guangzhou’s urban construction land expansion slowed during 2030–2060,with an average annual growth rate of 0.2%,and a centralized spatial pattern trend.Under the“dual carbon”goal scenario,Guangzhou’s urban construction land evolved into a polycentric development pattern in 2030.Compared with the baseline development scenario,urban construction land expansion in Guangzhou during 2030–2060 is slower,with an average annual growth rate of only 0.1%,and the polycentric development pattern of urban construction land was more prominent.Furthermore,land maintenance and growth,that is,a carbon sink,is more obvious under the“dual carbon”goals scenario,with the forest land area nearly 10.6%higher than that under the baseline development scenario.The study of urban construction land demand prediction and spatial pattern simulation under“dual carbon”goals provides a scientific decision-making support tool for territorial spatial planning,aiding in quantifying territorial spatial planning. 展开更多

Overheating of the engine, the transmission and the hydraulic device is a problem when the construction machinery works on plateau. To solve this problem, we proposed an electro-controlled hydraulic driving fan cooling system (ECHDFCS). The system was applied to a 50-wheel loader. We carried out the coolant temperature simulation using fluid modeling software FLOWMASTER, followed by laboratory experiments and road tests. The results show that ECHDFCS can adjust the cooling capability of the system automatically based on machine heat dissipation requirements. The coolant temperature is consequently remained within an appropriate range. The simulation results are consistent with the experiment results when the experiment is performed on the plain, but are different from the road tests in some investigated parameters on the plateau. 展开更多

The use of Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) simulations are increasingly being examined for potential analytical use particularly in test and evaluation. In addition to system-focused tests, LVC simulations provide a mechanism for conducting joint mission testing and system of systems testing when fiscal and resource limitations prevent the accumulation of the necessary density and diversity of assets required for these complex and comprehensive tests. LVC simulations consist of a set of entities that interact with each other within a situated environment (i.e., world) each of which is represented by a mixture of computer-based models, real people and real physical assets. The physical assets often consist of geographically dispersed test assets which are interconnected by persistent networks and augmented by virtual and constructive entities to create the joint test environment under evaluation. LVC experiments are generally not statistically designed, but really should be. Experimental design methods are discussed followed by additional design considerations when planning experiments for LVC. Some useful experimental designs are proposed and a case study is presented to illustrate the benefits of using statistical experimental design methods for LVC experiments. The case study only covers the planning portion of experimental design. The results will be presented in a subsequent paper. 展开更多

Long tunnel excavation with tunnel boring ily affected by uncertainties and needs to be adjusted machine (TBM) is a complex and stochastic process. It is eas- according to specific geological conditions in different tunnel sections, which makes the construction scheduling and management difficult. Based on the rock mass classification, this paper estimates the penetration rate. Using the rate, a cyclic network simulation (CYCLONE) model of TBM boring system is established, and the advance rates under different geological conditions are determined. Then, the impact of different cutter head thrust, which is chosen in reasonable range according to previous experiences, on pro- ject schedule is analyzed. Moreover, the simulation model of mucking system is built to determine the number of muck trains and rail intersections reasonably, regarding the efficiency of muck loading and material transporting. Based on the interaction and interrelation between TBM boring system and mucking system, the combined CY- CLONE model for the entire tunneling process is established. Then reasonable construction schedule, the utilization rate of working resources, and the probability of project completion are obtained through the model programming. Requirements for the respect of the environment encourage to reduce the impact of human activity on the nature. Civil engineering answers these requirements by the development of ecological construction materials. This paper deals with the transformation of clay raw materials which enable the processing of environmentally friendly construction materials: in addition to their biodegradability, the alveolar fired clay materials allow energy saving in home heating thanks to their thermal isolation properties. But their manufacturing is a high energy consumption process, in particular during compaction, drying and firing which contribute to the emission of greenhouse gases. The goal of this paper is to study the rheology of clay pastes in order to develop low energy in manufacturing processes. For this purpose, theoretical and experimental approaches were carried out on six clay varieties. In the theoretical approach, a finite element (FE) simulation model has been developed for pressing a non-rigid material predicting deformations and stresses occurring within the clay structure. Experiments have then been carried out to validate the finite element modelling. In this experimental approach, the clay pastes were transformed with water content respecting the Atterberg limits which determine the plasticity of clays. The samples compaction has been carried out under variable loadings in order to determine the suitable low energy consumption loading. 展开更多

Quantitative Assessment of Building Constructability Using BIM and 4D Simulation

Despite the fact that applying constructability concepts in building designs have led to savings estimated within a range of 1% to 14% of the capital cost, the construction industry still lacks an advanced tool to assess and check for constructability implementations in designs. Therefore, the objective of this research is to propose a quantitative assessment of building constructability, which transforms the subjective assessment of constructability knowledge to a quantified value so that it is easy to analyze and improve building design. The proposed methodology uses the advancement of object oriented Building Information Model (BIM) and 4D simulation model to serve as a data repository models for the constructability assessment platform. Factors affecting constructability of building designs have been identified and relatively weighted using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique based on a questionnaire survey collected throughout the Canadian provinces. Evaluation criteria are also developed to assist the designer to evaluate the design proposals. The outcome shows that the proposed method provides the designer an accurate and faster mode in evaluating project constructability by using the parametric features from BIM and taking the advantage of spatial relationship between building components. 展开更多

钻孔效率是堆石坝料场开挖施工进度仿真的关键参数,其预测准确性直接关系到仿真模型的可靠性。针对现有数学方法预测效率较低、单一学习器难以满足仿真精度要求、集成学习研究中超参数调整方法局部搜索精细度不足的问题,本文提出了一种... 钻孔效率是堆石坝料场开挖施工进度仿真的关键参数,其预测准确性直接关系到仿真模型的可靠性。针对现有数学方法预测效率较低、单一学习器难以满足仿真精度要求、集成学习研究中超参数调整方法局部搜索精细度不足的问题,本文提出了一种基于细菌觅食优化Stacking集成学习的钻孔效率预测模型。首先,以某堆石坝现场采集的钻孔效率数据为目标变量,以其影响因素(如钻孔深度、岩石性质、高程等)为特征变量构建数据集;其次,采用XGBoost、LightGBM和MLP三种异质基学习器并行训练,并引入细菌觅食优化算法模拟趋化和繁殖行为,通过R^(2)曲线实时追踪,迭代优化各基学习器的超参数,确保输出稳定的“元特征”;最后,将各基学习器的预测结果输入支持向量回归(SVR)元学习器,通过整合多模型的互补信息,在抑制偏差与方差的同时获得集成预测结果。实验结果表明,经细菌觅食优化后,各基学习器的R^(2)均可达到0.93以上,PCC值均超过0.97,集成模型在整个样本数据集上的学习曲线也平滑稳定,残差分析显示预测值与真实值的残差序列在零均值线附近均匀分布,最终结果的PCC值接近0.98,可以满足施工过程仿真需求。 展开更多

针对城市核心区地铁建设普遍存在的盾构穿越未完工暗挖车站引发的施工交互影响难题,以广州地铁13号线纪念堂站为工程依托,该站地处典型的上软下硬复合地层,采用洞桩法施工,且受制于狭小场地被迫实施先隧后站。为定量揭示盾构过站时机对... 针对城市核心区地铁建设普遍存在的盾构穿越未完工暗挖车站引发的施工交互影响难题,以广州地铁13号线纪念堂站为工程依托,该站地处典型的上软下硬复合地层,采用洞桩法施工,且受制于狭小场地被迫实施先隧后站。为定量揭示盾构过站时机对围岩-结构体系力学行为的作用机制,建立扣拱形成并回填后过站与扣拱形成前过站的对比工况,综合采用模型试验与数值模拟手段,对比分析先隧后站不同盾构过站时机的围岩变形以及各结构的应力演化特征。结果表明:1)洞桩法暗挖车站施工地表沉降曲线呈单峰状,上方扣拱形成后盾构过站对围岩扰动较小,地表沉降值减少5.9%;地层荷载得到了较大的释放,盾构管片应力集中程度较小,应力最大值减小24%。2)正洞上方扣拱应力最大,盾构过站对扣拱的应力影响较小。3)在此类工程中,采用暗挖车站上方扣拱形成并回填后过站是较优的施工方案。 展开更多

研究目的:城市道路与城市轨道交通的空间重叠和相互影响是城市交通基础设施安全的重要影响因素。本研究以北京某新建道路上越地铁工程为案例,建立整体评估模型,模拟道路施工全过程对下方地铁隧道及车站结构的影响。通过正交试验,分析地... 研究目的:城市道路与城市轨道交通的空间重叠和相互影响是城市交通基础设施安全的重要影响因素。本研究以北京某新建道路上越地铁工程为案例,建立整体评估模型,模拟道路施工全过程对下方地铁隧道及车站结构的影响。通过正交试验,分析地铁结构竖向与横向位移对土层压缩模量、埋深等关键参数的敏感性。研究结论:(1)地上施工对地铁结构竖向位移影响更显著,曲线段及正压/偏压位置分别对竖向和横向变形更为敏感;(2)竖向距离比水平距离对位移影响更大,车站结构变形小于区间,明挖区间安全性较高;(3)土层压缩模量与水平距离是竖向位移主控因素,而土层模量与结构埋深则主导横向位移;(4)本研究成果可为类似城市道路上越地铁工程提供参考。 展开更多
