Being manipulated in the Radon space to invert the gray-level and binary images, the linear texture of ship wake in oceanic clutter can be well detected. It has been applied to the automatic detection of a moving ship from the SEASAT SAR image. The results show that this algorithm is well robust in a strong noisy background and is not very sensitive to the threshold parameter and the working window size.展开更多

In order to ensure the quality of the components,a number of variables need to be properly set. A novel methodology for high pressure die casting process optimization was developed,validated and applied to selection of optimal parameters,which incorporate design of experiment (DOE),Gaussian process (GP) regression technique and genetic algorithms (GA). This new approach was applied to process optimization for cast magnesium alloy notebook shell. After being trained,using data generated by PROCAST (FEM-based simulation software),the GP model approximated well with the simulation by extracting useful information from the simulation results. With the help of MATLAB,the GP/GA based approach has achieved the optimum solution of die casting process condition settings.展开更多

In this paper, a set of software classification method based on software operating characteristics is proposed. The method uses software run-time resource consumption to describe the software running characteristics. Firstly, principal component analysis (PCA) is used to reduce the dimension of software running feature data and to interpret software characteristic information. Then the modified K-means algorithm was used to classify the meteorological data processing software. Finally, it combined with the results of principal component analysis to explain the significance of various types of integrated software operating characteristics. The program is used to simulate the rapid solidification processes of liquid metal Al system. Some new results, such as larger clusters composed of more than 36 smaller clusters (icosahedra or defect icosahedra) obtained in the system of 50 000 atoms, however, the larger clusters can not be seen in the small sized system of 5001 000 atoms. On the other hand, the results from this simulation study would be more closed to the real situation of the system under consideration because the influence of boundary conditions is decreased remarkably. It can be expected that from the parallel algorithm combined with the higher performance super computer, the total number of atoms in simulation system can be enlarged again up to tens, even hundreds times in the near future.展开更多

Tow objective functions are simultaneously optimized under a set of practical of machining constraints, the first objective function is cutting cost and the second one is the used tool life time. The proposed model deals multi-pass turning processes where the cutting operations are divided into multi-pass rough machining and finish machining. Results obtained from Genetic Algorithms method are presented in Pareto frontier graphic;this technique helps us in decision making process. In this paper,a modified multi-objective bare-bones particle swarm optimization( MOBBPSO) algorithm is proposed that takes advantage of a few parameters of bare-bones algorithm. To avoid premature convergence,Gaussian mutation is introduced; and an adaptive sampling distribution strategy is also used to improve the exploratory capability. Moreover, a circular crowded sorting approach is adopted to improve the uniformity of the population distribution.Finally, by combining the algorithm with control vector parameterization,an approach is proposed to solve the dynamic optimization problems of chemical processes. It is proved that the new algorithm performs better compared with other classic multiobjective optimization algorithms through the results of solving three dynamic optimization problems.展开更多

In this paper, advanced T2 statistics model and neural networks scheme are combined to solve the above problems: use T2 statistics technique to solve the problem of autocorrelation;adopt neural networks technique to solve the problem of “Window of Opportunity” and identification of disturbance causes. At the same time, regarding the shortcoming of neural network technique that its algorithm has a low speed of convergence and it is usually plunged into local optimum easily. Genetic algorithm was proposed to train samples in this paper. Optimization of the process parameters is conducted using the genetic algorithm (GA). The experimental results have shown that a surface model of the neural network can describe the nonlinear implicit relationship between the parameters of the power spinning process:the wall margin and amount of expansion. It has been found that the process of determining spinning technological parameters can be accelerated using the optimization method developed based on the BP neural network and the genetic algorithm used for the process parameters of power spinning formation. It is undoubtedly beneficial towards engineering applications.展开更多

Accordingly, automatic location method for components is a key issue in the research on intelligent computer aided design (CAD) techniques. Integrated with the investigation into intelligent design techniques for aircraft manufacturing toolings, in-depth researches on this issue are conducted. Formalized automatic location principles, representative methods and implementation algorithms are proposed and established. First, several terms and their formalized representative methods including process condition, location base and location operator are defined. Second, computation modeling of components automatic location and methods of location transformation are proposed. Then, definition of base structure and some key algorithms for automatic location are introduced. Parkinson’s disease(PD),one of whose symptoms is dysphonia,is a prevalent neurodegenerative disease.The use of outdated diagnosis techniques,which yield inaccurate and unreliable results,continues to represent an obs...Parkinson’s disease(PD),one of whose symptoms is dysphonia,is a prevalent neurodegenerative disease.The use of outdated diagnosis techniques,which yield inaccurate and unreliable results,continues to represent an obstacle in early-stage detection and diagnosis for clinical professionals in the medical field.To solve this issue,the study proposes using machine learning and deep learning models to analyze processed speech signals of patients’voice recordings.Datasets of these processed speech signals were obtained and experimented on by random forest and logistic regression classifiers.Results were highly successful,with 90%accuracy produced by the random forest classifier and 81.5%by the logistic regression classifier.Furthermore,a deep neural network was implemented to investigate if such variation in method could add to the findings.It proved to be effective,as the neural network yielded an accuracy of nearly 92%.Such results suggest that it is possible to accurately diagnose early-stage PD through merely testing patients’voices.This research calls for a revolutionary diagnostic approach in decision support systems,and is the first step in a market-wide implementation of healthcare software dedicated to the aid of clinicians in early diagnosis of PD.展开更多
