Resilience and risk management in railway supply chains:the interplay of leadership,innovation and competitive advantage

Purpose-This study explores how managerial leadership and organizational innovation interact to enhance resilience and risk management in railway supply chains and how these capabilities contribute to sustained competitive advantage.It emphasizes the strategic importance of resilience in railway systems that face operational complexity,regulatory pressures and increasing exposure to systemic risks.Design/methodology/approach-A mixed-methods design was employed,integrating survey data from 186 railway organizations with six case studies involving railway operators,rolling stock manufacturers and supply chain partners across multiple regions.Constructs were measured using validated scales and hypothesized relationships were tested using Structural Equation Modeling(SEM).Case study interviews were analyzed thematically to provide contextual understanding of leadership practices and innovation strategies.Findings-The results confirm that transformational managerial leadership significantly predicts innovation adoption,which in turn strengthens resilience and risk management capabilities.Resilience emerged as a powerful driver of competitive advantage,reinforcing its role as a strategic capability rather than a reactive response to disruptions.Furthermore,innovation was shown to partially mediate the relationship between leadership and resilience,highlighting its function as the operational channel through which vision translates into capability.Originality/value-This study contributes to the literature by integrating the Resource-Based View(RBV)and Dynamic Capabilities(DC)framework into the context of railway supply chains.It is among the first to empirically validate the mediating role of innovation between leadership and resilience,offering both theoretical advancements and actionable strategies for building resilient and competitive railway systems. 展开更多

Waste graphitization cathode carbon blocks are a type of hazardous solid waste generated during the aluminum electrolysis process,and their proper disposal is a key step in the resource utilization of discarded graphite.This study utilizes the porous“defect advantage”of a cathode carbon block matrix to prepare silicon-doped and asphalt-coated detoxified and purified waste graphitization cathode carbon blocks for use as high-performance silicon/carbon composite anode materials.The results show that the uniformly silicondoped silicon/carbon composite material features a unique amorphous carbon-encapsulated“locked silicon”structure,which effectively addresses issues such as cathode volume expansion,excessive growth of the solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)film,and poor electrical contact between active materials.Consequently,electrochemical performance is enhanced.After assembly in a half-cell,the PSCC/10%Si@C(purified waste graphitization cathode carbon/10%Si@C)material exhibits optimal electrochemical stability,with an initial charging specific capacity of 514.5 mAh/g at 0.1 C(1 C=170 mA/g)and a capacity retention rate of 95.1%after 100 cycles.At a charge rate of 2.0 C,a specific capacity of 216.9 mAh/g is achieved.This technology provides a new pathway for the economical and high-value utilization of waste cathode carbon blocks and the development of low-cost,high-performance anode materials. 展开更多

基于D-Wave Advantage量子退火算法的90比特RSA整数分解研究

业内认为在当前量子计算攻击密码整体进展缓慢背景下,RSA整数分解进展每提升1比特都面临挑战。根据《Nature》文章报道,2019~2023年谷歌不断改进其量子芯片,但依旧不能用于密码破译。谷歌等公司近期的研究表明:尽管亚线性量子资源方法分... 业内认为在当前量子计算攻击密码整体进展缓慢背景下,RSA整数分解进展每提升1比特都面临挑战。根据《Nature》文章报道,2019~2023年谷歌不断改进其量子芯片,但依旧不能用于密码破译。谷歌等公司近期的研究表明:尽管亚线性量子资源方法分解RSA整数可以降低量子资源的消耗,但是即使“完美的量子优化算法+Babai算法”也不足以有效地分解80比特以上的RSA整数。量子退火算法凭借其独特的量子隧穿效应,可跳出传统智能优化算法极易陷入的局部极值,快速逼近全局最优解。鉴于D-Wave Advantage的量子资源已达到5000+量子比特,本文通过使用更多的量子资源,提出一种量子退火算法结合经典密码算法分解RSA整数的混合架构。通过提高最近向量问题(Closest Vector Problem,CVP)的规模,从而提升搜索用于分解80比特以上RSA整数光滑对的能力;本文使用Block Korkin-Zolotarev(BKZ)算法对CVP的格基进行约化,获得较LLL算法更优的归约基。利用更优的归约基,Babai算法可以获得更优的CVP的解。在此基础上,本文利用量子退火算法的隧穿效应进一步优化Babai算法对CVP的求解,获得较Babai算法更优的解,从而提高光滑对的搜索效率,加速RSA整数分解。最后,本文在D-Wave Advantage上首次完成量子计算分解80比特以上的RSA整数,最大分解90比特RSA整数:629367860625666765619139989=6398047085669×98368744743281,大幅度超出富士通、洛克希德马丁公司、普渡大学的实验指标。实验结果表明:研究量子智能算法和量子位数较多的量子计算机攻击密码是有意义的,未来需要重视量子隧穿推进CVP等NP难题求解的潜力,其全局寻优能力可能成为密码攻击的关键。 展开更多

Quantum algorithms have demonstrated provable speedups over classical counterparts,yet establishing a comprehensive theoretical framework to understand the quantum advantage remains a core challenge.In this work,we decode the quantum search advantage by investigating the critical role of quantum state properties in random-walk-based algorithms.We propose three distinct variants of quantum random-walk search algorithms and derive exact analytical expressions for their success probabilities.These probabilities are fundamentally determined by specific initial state properties:the coherence fraction governs the first algorithm’s performance,while entanglement and coherence dominate the outcomes of the second and third algorithms,respectively.We show that increased coherence fraction enhances success probability,but greater entanglement and coherence reduce it in the latter two cases.These findings reveal fundamental insights into harnessing quantum properties for advantage and guide algorithm design.Our searches achieve Grover-like speedups and show significant potential for quantum-enhanced machine learning. 展开更多

Allopolyploids often exhibit advantages in vigor and adaptability compared to diploids.A long-term goal in the economically important Brassica genus has been to develop a new allohexaploid crop type(AABBCC)by combining different diploid and allotetraploid crop species.However,early-generation allohexaploids often face challenges like unstable meiosis and low fertility,and the phenotypic performance of these synthetic lines has rarely been assessed.This study analyzes agronomic traits,fertility,and genome stability in ArArBcBcCcCc lines derived from four crosses between B.carinata and B.rapa after 9–11 selfing generations.Our results demonstrate polyploid advantage in vigor and seed traits,considerable phenotypic variation,and high fertility and genome stability.Meanwhile,parental genotypes significantly influence outcomes in advanced allohexaploids.Structural variants,largely resulting from A–C homoeologous exchanges,contribute to genomic variation and influence hexaploid genome stability,with the A sub-genome showing the highest variability.Both positive and negative impacts of SVs on fertility and seed weight are observed.Pseudo-euploids,frequently appearing,do not significantly affect fertility or other agronomic traits compared to euploids,indicating a potential pathway toward a stable allohexaploid species.These findings provide insights into the challenge and potential for developing an adaptable and stable Brassica hexaploid through selection. 展开更多

Missing data handling is vital for multi-sensor information fusion fault diagnosis of motors to prevent the accuracy decay or even model failure,and some promising results have been gained in several current studies.These studies,however,have the following limitations:1)effective supervision is neglected for missing data across different fault types and 2)imbalance in missing rates among fault types results in inadequate learning during model training.To overcome the above limitations,this paper proposes a dynamic relative advantagedriven multi-fault synergistic diagnosis method to accomplish accurate fault diagnosis of motors under imbalanced missing data rates.Firstly,a cross-fault-type generalized synergistic diagnostic strategy is established based on variational information bottleneck theory,which is able to ensure sufficient supervision in handling missing data.Then,a dynamic relative advantage assessment technique is designed to reduce diagnostic accuracy decay caused by imbalanced missing data rates.The proposed method is validated using multi-sensor data from motor fault simulation experiments,and experimental results demonstrate its effectiveness and superiority in improving diagnostic accuracy and generalization under imbalanced missing data rates. 展开更多

Mode-pairing quantum key distribution(MP-QKD)is an excellent scheme that can exceed the repeaterless ratetransmittance bound without complex phase locking.Nevertheless,MP-QKD usually needs to ensure that the communication distances of the two channels are equal.To address the problem,the asymmetric MP-QKD protocol is proposed.In this paper,we enhance the performance of the asymmetric MP-QKD protocol based on the advantage distillation(AD)method without modifying the quantum process.The simulation results show that the AD method can extend the communication distance by about 70 km in the case of asymmetry.And we observe that as the misalignment error increases,the AD method further increases the expandable communication distance.Our work can further enhance the robustness and promote the practical application of the asymmetric MP-QKD. 展开更多

The recent development of FinTech has raised concerns about the unique role of small banks in the small business lending market;therefore,this study investigates how FinTech affects small banks,focusing on their comparative advantage in the small business lending market.Our results suggest that FinTech development,either from BigTech firms or big banks’adoption of technology,negatively affects small banks and decreases their small business loans and unsecured credit loans.Our mechanism analyses show that the technological advantages of BigTech firms and big banks facilitate their credit supply to small-and medium-sized enterprises and reduce SMEs’demand from small banks,challenging the soft information-based business models employed by small banks.Conversely,small banks with superior technological capabilities and a longer local presence are less affected.Overall,our findings highlight the negative effect of FinTech development on the small bank advantage. 展开更多

Mode-pairing quantum key distribution with multi-step advantage distillation

The advantage distillation(AD)technology has been proven to effectively improve the secret key rate and the communication distance of quantum key distribution(QKD).The mode-pairing quantum key distribution(MP-QKD)protocol can overcome a fundamental physical limit,known as the Pirandola-Laurenza-Ottaviani-Banchi bound,without requiring global phase-locking.In this work,we propose a method based on multi-step AD to further enhance the performance of MP-QKD.The simulation results show that,compared to one-step AD,multi-step AD achieves better performance in long-distance scenarios and can tolerate a higher quantum bit error rate.Specifically,when the difference between the communication distances from Alice and Bob to Charlie is 25 km,50 km and 75 km,and the corresponding transmission distance exceeds 523 km,512 km and 496 km,respectively,the secret key rate achieved by multi-step AD surpasses that of one-step AD.Our findings indicate that the proposed method can effectively promote the application of MP-QKD in scenarios with high loss and high error rate. 展开更多

在全球经济格局深度调整的背景下,企业出海已成为塑造国家国际竞争优势的战略选择,探索中国情境下企业出海的有效路径具有重要的理论与现实意义。本文从国家级经济技术开发区这一代表性的区位导向性政策切入,在精准识别国家级经济技术... 在全球经济格局深度调整的背景下,企业出海已成为塑造国家国际竞争优势的战略选择,探索中国情境下企业出海的有效路径具有重要的理论与现实意义。本文从国家级经济技术开发区这一代表性的区位导向性政策切入,在精准识别国家级经济技术开发区边界和内外企业基础上,定量分析了国家级经济技术开发区对中国企业出海的影响和作用机制。研究发现:国家级经济技术开发区显著促进了企业出海;国家级经济技术开发区通过资金、人才和企业集聚效应,能够有效缓解区内企业融资约束、为企业提供人才支持、促进企业间信息共享,进而强化企业所有权优势,促进企业出海;国家级经济技术开发区对所在行业属于经济技术开发区主导产业、核心高管具备海外经历的企业出海促进作用更大。本文的研究丰富了企业对外直接投资的相关理论,为进一步推动中国高水平对外开放提供了经验支持。 展开更多

Spatial Characteristic Analysis of the Comparative Advantage of Watermelon and Melon Production in Hainan Province 被引量:3

[Objective] This study investigated the spatial characteristics of counties (cities) with comparative advantages in watermelon and melon production to provide reference bases in formulating strategies for the development of watermelon and melon industries in Hainan Province. [Method] By using the sowing area, total yield, and yield per unit area of watermelon and melon in Hainan Province as research u- nits, the yield comparative advantage (YCA), efficiency comparative advantage (E- CA), scale comparative advantage (SCA), concentration ratio comparative advantage (CRCA), comprehensive comparative advantage (CCA), ratio of yield per unit area (RYPA), sowing area ratio (SAR), and distribution characteristics of watermelon and melon were systematically analyzed. By referring to the agricultural statistic data of 18 counties (cities) in Hainan Province, indexes for each research unit (i.e., the YCA index, ECA index, SCA index, CRCA index, CCA index, RYPA index, and SAR index) were established and calculated to determine the comparative advantage of watermelon and melon production in Hainan Province. A spatial expression of the research result on a map was conducted by using GIS software. [Result] Seven counties (cities) exhibited comparative advantages in watermelon production, namely, Lingshui, Wanning, Wenchang, Dongfang, Sanya, Ledong, and Changjiang. The Eastern and Southern Hainan Provinces had CCAs, and the Western and Northern Hainan Provinces could be reserved for future development. For melon production, four counties (cities) exhibited comparative advantages, namely, Ledong, Lingshui, Sanya, and Dongfang. The Southern Hainan Province had CCA, whereas the West- ern Hainan Province could be reserved for later development. [Conclusion] The result has showed that establishing watermelon and melon as dominant agricultural prod- ucts is necessary for the future development of the industry and for the formulation of a layout of regions with advantages, where key support and construction should be provided preferentially with the aim to raise the yield, quality, and market com- petitiveness of products. 展开更多
