Firstly, a mathematical model of the pneumatic servo system was developed for the MIMO nonlinear model-based controller designed. The pneumatic muscles were controlled by three proportional position valves, and the air cylinder was controlled by a proportional pressure valve. As the forward kinematics of this structure had no analytical solution, the control strategy should be designed in joint space. A cross-coupling integral adaptive robust controller(CCIARC) which combined cross-coupling control strategy and traditional adaptive robust control(ARC) theory was developed by back-stepping method to accomplish trajectory tracking control of the parallel platform. The cross-coupling part of the controller stabilized the length error in joint space as well as the synchronization error, and the adaptive robust control part attenuated the adverse effects of modelling error and disturbance. The force character of the pneumatic muscles was difficult to model precisely, so the on-line recursive least square estimation(RLSE) method was employed to modify the model compensation. The projector mapping method was used to condition the RLSE algorithm to bound the parameters estimated. An integral feedback part was added to the traditional robust function to reduce the negative influence of the slow time-varying characteristic of pneumatic muscles and enhance the ability of trajectory tracking. The stability of the controller designed was proved through Laypunov's theory. Various contrast controllers were designed to testify the newly designed components of the CCIARC. Extensive experiments were conducted to illustrate the performance of the controller.展开更多

First, a torque decou- piing approach is proposed to formulate the dynamic model. Secondly, to compensate the friction in the case of servo motion, a modified LuGre model is designed to make a continuous transition be- tween a static model at a high speed and a LuGre model at a low speed to avoid instability due to dis- cretization with a finite sampling rate. To accelerate the speed of estimating time-varying parame- ters, a fast adaption law is proposed by designing an attraction domain around a rough value related to the load force. Finally, a discontinuous projection based adaptive robust controller is synthesized to effectively handle parametric uncertainties for ensuring a guaranteed robust performance. A Lya- punov stability analysis demonstrates that all signals including tracking errors have the guaranteed convergent and bounded performance. Extensive comparative simulations with sinusoidal and point- point tracks are obtained respectively in low and high speeds. The results show the effectiveness and the achievable control performance of the proposed control strategy.展开更多

Behaviors of the machine itself are also studied, like some tracking control of the machine. Yet, few works concern about the hydraulic components, especially the pressure and flow rate regulation components. This research focuses on pressure control strategies by using proportional pressure relief valve, which is widely applied on typical shield tunneling machines. Modeling of a commercial pressure relief valve is done. The modeling centers on the main valve, because the dynamic performance is determined by the main valve. To validate such modeling, a frequency-experiment result of the pressure relief valve, whose bandwidth is about 3 Hz, is presented as comparison. The modeling and the frequency experimental result show that it is reasonable to regard the pressure relief valve as a second-order system with two low corner frequencies. PID control, dead band compensation control and adaptive robust control(ARC) are proposed and simulation results are presented. For the ARC, implements by using first order approximation and second order approximation are presented. The simulation results show that the second order approximation implement with ARC can track 4 Hz sine signal very well, and the two ARC simulation errors are within 0.2 MPa. Finally, experiment results of dead band compensation control and adaptive robust control are given. The results show that dead band compensation had about 30° phase lag and about 20% off of the amplitude attenuation. ARC is tracking with little phase lag and almost no amplitude attenuation. In this research, ARC has been tested on a pressure relief valve. It is able to improve the valve's dynamic performances greatly, and it is capable of the pressure control of shield machine excavation.展开更多

Due to model errors of the static forces and friction forces of pneumatic muscles, simplified average flow rate characteristics of valves, unknown disturbances of entire system, and unmeasured pressures, there exist rather severe parametric uncertainties, nonlinear uncertainties and dynamic uncertainties in modeling of the parallel manipulator. A nonlinear pressure observer is constructed to estimate unknown pressures on the basis of a single-input-single-output (SISO) decoupling model that is simplified from the actual multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) coupling model of the parallel manipulator. Then, an adaptive robust controller integrated with the pressure observer is developed to accomplish high precision posture trajectory tracking of the parallel manipulator. The experimental results indicate that the system with the proposed POARC not only achieves good control accuracy and smooth movement but also maintains robustness to disturbances.展开更多

By applying the proposed scheme, several control objectives are achieved. First, the nonlinear synchronization algorithm is presented to maintain the velocity synchronization of each motor, which provides fast convergence without chatting. Moreover, the time-varying bias torque is applied to eliminate the effect of backlash and reduce the waste of energy. Then, the ARC is designed to achieve the proximate optimal-time output tracking with the transient performance in L2 norm, where the friction and actuation failures are addressed by the adaptive scheme based on the norm estimation of unknown parameter vector. Finally, the extensive simulated and experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.展开更多

However, as a typical nonlinear system with variability and parameter uncertainty, it is difficult to accurately achieve the trajectory tracking control for exoskeletons. In this paper, we present a robust control of trajectory tracking control based on servo constraints. Firstly, we consider the uncertainties (e.g., modelling errors, initial condition deviations, structural vibrations, and other unknown external disturbances) in the exoskeleton system, which are time-varying and bounded. Secondly, we establish the dynamic model and formulate a close-loop connection between the dynamic model and the real world. Then, the trajectory tracking issue is regarded as a servo constraint problem, and an adaptive robust control with leakage-type adaptive law is proposed with the guaranteed Lyapunov stability. Finally, we conduct numerical simulations to verify the performance of the proposed controller.展开更多

The kinematic and dynamic characteristic of the robot will change with the variations of gravity in different working condition. Fully considering the change of kinematic and dynamic models caused by the change of gravity environment, a fuzzy adaptive robust control(FARC) strategy which is adaptive to these model variations is put forward for trajectory tracking control of space robot. A fuzzy algorithm is employed to approximate the nonlinear uncertainties in the model, adaptive laws of the parameters are constructed, and the approximation error is compensated by using a robust control algorithm. Variable load is seen as a sum of a constant and a variable part. The constant part is regarded as a parameter of the system to be estimated real time. The variable part together with the friction are seen as disturbance so that a robust term in the controller can be adopted to reject them. Compared with the traditional dead-zone compensation method, a dead-zone compensator is incor- porated in the EH$S without constructing a dead-zone inverse. Combining backstepping method, an adaptive robust controller (ARC) with dead-zone compensation is formed. An easy-to-use ARC tuning method is also proposed after a further analysis of the ARC structure. Simulations show that the proposed method has a splendid tracking performance, all the uncertain parameters can be estimated, and the disturbance has been rejected while the dead-zone term is well estimated and compensated.展开更多

文摘Soft robotics, compared with their rigid counterparts, are able to adapt to uncharted environments, are superior in safe human-robot interactions, and have low cost, owing to the native compliance of the soft materials. However, customized complex structures,as well as the nonlinear and viscoelastic soft materials, pose a great challenge to accurate modeling and control of soft robotics, and impose restrictions on further applications. In this study,a unified modeling strategy is proposed to establish a complete dynamic model of the most widely used pneumatic soft bending actuator.First,a novel empirical nonlinear model with parametric and nonlinear uncertainties is identified to describe the nonlinear behaviors of pneumatic soft bending actuators.Second,an inner pressure dynamic model of a pneumatic soft bending actuator is established by introducing a modified valve flow rate model of the unbalanced pneumatic proportional valves.Third,an adaptive robust controller is designed using a backstepping method to handle and update the nonlinear and uncertain system. Finally, the experimental results of comparative trajectory tracking control indicate the validity of the proposed modeling and control method.
文摘The position tracking control problem of an electrical cylinder in the presence of dynamic friction nonlinearities in its transmission process is addressed in this paper. The results show the effectiveness and the achievable control performance of the proposed control strategy.

文摘Most current studies about shield tunneling machine focus on the construction safety and tunnel structure stability during the excavation. It is able to improve the valve's dynamic performances greatly, and it is capable of the pressure control of shield machine excavation.

文摘To enhance the fault transient performance of aerospace multiphase permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)system,an adaptive robust speed control is proposed regardless of the phase open-circuit(OC)and short-circuit(SC)fault in this paper, which can be applied for both the redundant motor system and fault tolerant motor system. For aerospace multiphase PMSM system, besides external load disturbance and system parameter perturbation, there inevitably exists the electromagnetic torque ripple in fault transient process, which can degrade the system performance and even cause the system instability. To cope with this issue, the electromagnet torque ripple of the multiphase PMSM system in fault transient process is first analyzed. Then,by considering the electromagnet torque fluctuation caused by fault transient as a system uncertainty,a novel adaptive robust speed control scheme is proposed, while the adaptive law is constructed to emulate the total system uncertainty bound, which include the load disturbance, the parameter variation, and the electromagnetic torque fluctuation due to fault transient. The resulting control can ensure the speed control performance even in fault transient process regardless of the uncertainty,in which no prior estimation of the uncertainty bound is required. In addition, the proposed adaptive robust speed control is demonstrated by a six-phase PMSM experimental platform. The novelty of this research is to explore a novel adaptive robust speed control to strengthen the fault tolerance performance of multiphase PMSM system even in fault transient process, which requires no prior estimation of the uncertainty bound.

文摘This paper presents a pressure observer based adaptive robust controller (POARC) for posture trajectory tracking of a parallel manipulator driven by three pneumatic muscles without pressure sensors. The experimental results indicate that the system with the proposed POARC not only achieves good control accuracy and smooth movement but also maintains robustness to disturbances.

文摘A novel adaptive robust control (ARC) is presented for the four-motor driving servo systems with the uncertain nonlinearities and actuation failures, such that the load tracking control is achieved with the proximate optimal-time. Finally, the extensive simulated and experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

文摘In this paper, the tracking control problem of the projectile hitting point of the moving tank is studied.First,a multi-body dy-namic model with stability systems is established.Second, the nonlinear coupling dynamic equation of turret-barrel pointing system is established.Third, the trajectory equation of exterior ballistic(EB)projectile in six degree-of-freedom is established, and the pointing problem was transformed into a problem of hitting point tracking through coordinate transformation.Forth,an adaptive robust feedback control method is proposed to make the predicted hitting point tracking the expected position accurately. Finally,Chebyshev surrogate model is used to replace the EB differential equation, which effectively reduces the time required by co-simulation.This paper combines the EB process with the tracking control problem, which effectively ensures the first-round chance of hit for the tank gun.
文摘For classical TCAR(three carrier ambiguity resolution)algorithm is affected by ionospheric delay and measurement noise,it is difficult to reliably fix ambiguity at medium and long baselines. An improved TCAR algorithm which takes the influence of ionospheric delay into account and has good adaptive robustness is proposed. On the basis of the non-geometric TCAR model, ionospheric delay is obtained by linearly combining extra-wide-lane with fixed ambiguity, and then wide-lane ambiguity is solved.Solving narrow-lane ambiguity by adaptive robust filtering by constructing optimal combination observation, which can effectively improve the fixed success rate of narrow-lane ambiguity and reduce the adverse effects of gross error.Experimental results show that the improved TCAR algorithm can guarantee a high fixed correct rate of wide-lane ambiguity, effectively improve fixed success rate of narrow-lane ambiguity, and has a good ability to resist gross error.
文摘In this paper, the adaptive robust simultaneous stabilization problem of uncertain multiple n-degree-of-freedom(n-DOF)robot systems is studied using the Hamiltonian function method, and the corresponding adaptive L2 controller is designed.First,we investigate the adaptive simultaneous stabilization problem of uncertain multiple n-DOF robot systems without external disturbance.Namely, the single uncertain n-DOF robot system is transformed into an equivalent Hamiltonian form using the unified partial derivative operator(UP-DO)and potential energy shaping method, and then a high dimensional Hamiltonian system for multiple uncertain robot systems is obtained by applying augmented dimension technology, and a single output feedback controller is designed to ensure the simultaneous stabilization for the higher dimensional Hamiltonian system. On this basis,we further study the adaptive robust simultaneous stabilization control problem for the uncertain multiple n-DOF robot systems with external disturbances, and design an adaptive robust simultaneous stabilization controller. Finally, the simulation results show that the adaptive robust simultaneous stabilization controller designed in this paper is very effective in stabilizing multi-robot systems at the same time.
文摘This paper investigates the trajectory following problem of exoskeleton robots with numerous constraints. Finally, we conduct numerical simulations to verify the performance of the proposed controller.

文摘Space robot is assembled and tested in gravity environment, and completes on-orbit service(OOS) in microgravity environment. The stability of the control system is guaranteed based on the Lyapunov theory and the trajectory tracking control simulation is performed. The simulation results are compared with the proportional plus derivative(PD) controller, and the effectiveness to achieve better trajectory tracking performance under different gravity environment without changing the control parameters and the advantage of the proposed controller are verified.

文摘A backstepping method based adaptive robust dead-zone compensation controller is pro- posed for the electro-hydraulic servo systems (EHSSs) with unknown dead-zone and uncertain system parameters. Simulations show that the proposed method has a splendid tracking performance, all the uncertain parameters can be estimated, and the disturbance has been rejected while the dead-zone term is well estimated and compensated.
