Radiotherapy is an effective local tumor ablation modality that can be used for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)in specific clinical situations.Tumor cell ablation is facilitated through targeted ionizing radiation to directly induce DNA damage in cancer cells, which typically have dysfunctional DNA repair systems. In addition to direct tumor ablation, radiotherapy can also induce immunogenic cell death, release tumor-associated neoantigens, and promote dendritic cell activation. This type of immunogenic cell death can also significantly alter the tumor microenvironment, enhancing T-cell infiltration and reducing tumor-associated immune suppression. 展开更多
