Pt/Ni catalysts modified with CeO2 nanoparticles were prepared by simple composite electrodeposition of Ni and CeO2,and spontaneous Ni partial replacement by Pt processes.The as-prepared CeO2-modified Pt/Ni catalysts showed enhanced catalytic performance for ethanol electro-oxidation compared with pure Pt/Ni,and acetate species were proposed to be the main products of the oxidation when using these catalysts.The content of CeO2 in the as-prepared catalysts influenced their catalytic activity,with Pt/NiCe2(obtained from an electrolyte containing 100 mg/L CeO2 nanoparticles) exhibiting higher activity and relatively better stability in ethanol electro-oxidation.This was mainly due to the oxygen storage capacity of CeO2,the interaction between Pt and CeO2/Ni,and the relatively small contact and charge transfer resistances.The results of this work thus suggest that electrocatalysts with low price and high activity can be rationally designed and produced by a simple route for use in direct ethanol fuel cells. 展开更多

In this study, nanoparticles ... Al2O3-ZrO2 with a high level of hardness and toughness is known as ceramic steel. Due to its unique properties it can be used as a reinforcement in fabrication of metal matrix composites. In this study, nanoparticles of Al2O3-10% ZrO2 with an average size of 80 nm were used to fabricate Al matrix composites containing 0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2 wt.% of the reinforcement. The fabrication route was stir casting at 850?C. There is no report about usage of this reinforcement in fabrication of composites in the literature. The microstructures of the as-cast composites were studied by scanning electron microscope (SEM). Density measurement, hardness and tensile properties were carried out to identify the mechanical properties of the composites. The results revealed that with increasing the reinforcement content, density decreased while yield, ultimate tensile strength and compressive strength increased. Also, hardness increased by increasing the reinforcement content up to 1 wt.% Al2O3-10% ZrO2 but it decreased in the samples containing higher amounts of reinforcement. 展开更多

Nanometer sized Au/TiO\-2 particles were synthesized by irradiation of a HAuCl\-4 solution containing colloidal TiO\-2 with light of wavelength (λ)>330 nm. The absorption maximum attributed to the surface plasmon band of gold was observed at 540 nm, a red shift of about 20 nm from the position in aqueous solution. The Au clusters are situated on the surface of TiO\-2 in terms of microcrystallite, which was confirmed by HRTEM, EDS and XRD. 采用水热法在不锈钢基底上制备WO3纳米片阵列,然后将其浸渍于不同浓度Zn(NO_3)_2溶液中以负载ZnO纳米颗粒,从而制备出ZnO/WO_3纳米片薄膜。采用场发射扫描电镜(FESEM)、X射线衍射(XRD)、X射线光电子能谱(XPS)、紫外-可见吸收光谱(UV-Vis... 采用水热法在不锈钢基底上制备WO3纳米片阵列,然后将其浸渍于不同浓度Zn(NO_3)_2溶液中以负载ZnO纳米颗粒,从而制备出ZnO/WO_3纳米片薄膜。采用场发射扫描电镜(FESEM)、X射线衍射(XRD)、X射线光电子能谱(XPS)、紫外-可见吸收光谱(UV-Vis)和电化学阻抗图谱(EIS)等方法对ZnO/WO_3复合薄膜的形貌、结构、物相组成和光电性能等进行分析,重点考察了薄膜电极对亚甲基蓝(MB)的光电催化降解性能。结果表明,WO_3纳米片均匀垂直于基底生长,Zn元素以ZnO颗粒的形式分布在WO_3表面;ZnO的引入促进了WO_3中产生的光生电子-空穴对的分离,从而使ZnO/WO_3复合薄膜表现出比纯WO_3薄膜更优异的光电性能和光电催化活性;在Zn(NO_3)_2浸渍液浓度为20mmol/L时,所制ZnO/WO_3复合薄膜具有最佳的光电催化性能,在MB溶液初始浓度为10mg/L、外加偏压为0.8V、光照1h的条件下,采用该样品对MB的降解率达96.5%,并且复合薄膜具有良好的循环稳定性,在重复使用5次后,对MB的光电催化降解效率没有明显降低,有望在实际污水处理中得到应用。 展开更多
