This phenomenon furnishes a useful clue to the further study of the life history of alternate generations in advanced algae and provides megafossil evidence for the sex differentiation of metaphytic algae.展开更多

There are 2 level tones,2 rising tones,1 falling t...This paper describes tonal contrasts in Xiuning Hui Chinese dialect in terms of a detailed acoustic phonetic analysis of F0 and duration data from 10 native speakers. There are 2 level tones,2 rising tones,1 falling tone and 1 concave tone in Xiuning. The results show that pitch levels and pitch contours both contribute to the characterization of tones. And a detailed examination of tonal contours reveals that speakers may employ different articulatory strategies in tonal production. Phonological consequences are also discussed on the basis of the phonetic data.展开更多
