Search-based software engineering has mainly dealt with automated test data generation by metaheuristic search techniques. Similarly, we try to generate the test data (i.e., problem instances) which show the worst case of algorithms by such a technique. In this paper, in terms of non-functional testing, we re-define the worst case of some algorithms, respectively. By using genetic algorithms (GAs), we illustrate the strategies corresponding to each type of instances. We here adopt three problems for examples;the sorting problem, the 0/1 knapsack problem (0/1KP), and the travelling salesperson problem (TSP). In some algorithms solving these problems, we could find the worst-case instances successfully;the successfulness of the result is based on a statistical approach and comparison to the results by using the random testing. Our tried examples introduce informative guidelines to the use of genetic algorithms in generating the worst-case instance, which is defined in the aspect of algorithm performance. 展开更多

A Worst-Case Execution Time Analysis Approach Based on Independent Paths for ARM Programs

To overcome disadvantages of traditional worst-case execution time (WCET) analysis approaches, we propose a new WCET analysis approach based on independent paths for ARM programs. Based on the results of program flow analysis, it reduces and partitions the control flow graph of the program and obtains a directed graph. Using linear combinations of independent paths of the directed graph, a set of feasible paths can be generated that gives complete coverage in terms of the program paths considered. Their timing measurements and execution counts of program segments are derived from a limited number of measurements of an instrumented version of the program. After the timing measurement of the feasible paths are linearly expressed by the execution times of program seg-ments, a system of equations is derived as a constraint problem, from which we can obtain the execution times of program segments. By assigning the execution times of program segments to weights of edges in the directed graph, the WCET estimate can be calculated on the basis of graph-theoretical techniques. Comparing our WCET estimate with the WCET measurement obtained by the exhaustive measurement, the maximum error ratio is only 8.259 3 %. It is shown that the proposed approach is an effective way to obtain the safe and tight WCET estimate for ARM programs. 展开更多

The worst-case radiation effect in deep-submicron SRAM (static random access memory) circuits is studied through theoretical analysis and experimental validation. Detailed analysis about the radiation effect in different parts of circuitry is presented. For SRAM cells and a sense amplifier which includes flip-flop structures, their failure level against ionizing radiation will have a connection with the storage state during irradiation. They are inclined to store or read the same state as the one stored during irradiation. Worst-case test scheme for an SRAM circuit is presented, which contains a write operation that changes the storage states into the opposite ones after irradiation and then a read operation with opposite storage states. An irradiation experiment is designed for one 0.25 μm SRAM circuit which has a capacity of I k×8 bits. The failure level against ionizing radiation concluded from this test scheme (150 krad(Si)) is much lower than the one from the simplest test scheme (1 Mrad(Si)). It is obvious that the failure level will be overestimated if the simplest test scheme is chosen as the test standard for SRAM circuits against ionizing radiation. 展开更多

Passive bistatic radar detects targets by exploiting available local broadcasters and communication transmissions as illuminators, which are not designed for radar. The signal usually contains a time-varying structure, which may result in high-level range ambiguity sidelobes. Because the mismatched filter is effective in suppressing sidelobes, it can be used in a passive bistatic radar. However, due to the low signal-to-noise ratio in the reference signal, the sidelobe suppression performance seriously degrades in a passive bistatic radar system. To solve this problem, a novel mismatched filtering algorithm is developed using worst-case performance optimization. In this algorithm, the influence of the low energy level in the reference signal is taken into consideration, and a new cost function is built based on worst-case performance optimization. With this optimization, the mismatched filter weights can be obtained by minimizing the total energy of the ambiguity range sidelobes. Quantitative evaluations and simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can realize sidelobe suppression when there is a low-energy reference signal. Worst-Case Finish Time Analysis for DAG-Based Applications in the Presence of Transient Faults

Tasks in hard real-time systems are required to meet preset deadlines, even in the presence of transient faults and hence the analysis of worst-case finish time (WCFT) must consider the extra time incurred by re-executing tasks that were faulty. Existing solutions can only estimate WCFT and usually result in significant under- or over-estimation. In this work, we conclude that a sufficient and necessary condition of a task set experiencing its WCFT is that its critical task incurs all expected transient faults. A method is presented to identify the critical task and WCFT in O(IVI + IEI) where IVI and IEI are the number of tasks and dependencies between tasks, respectively. This method finds its application in testing the feasibility of directed acyclic graph (DAG) based task sets scheduled in a wide variety of fault-prone multi-processor systems, where the processors could be either homogeneous or heterogeneous, DVS-capable or DVS-incapable, etc. The common practices, which require the same time complexity as the proposed critical-task method, could either underestimate the worst case by up to 25%, or overestimate by 13%. Based on the proposed critical-task method, a simulated-annealing scheduling algorithm is developed to find the energy efficient fault-tolerant schedule for a given DAG task set. Experimental results show that the proposed critical-task method wins over a common practice by up to 40% in terms of energy saving. 展开更多

This paper considers a worst-case investment optimization problem with delay for a fund manager who is in a crash-threatened financial market. Driven by existing of capital inflow/outflow related to history performance, we investigate the optimal investment strategies under the worst-case scenario and the stochastic control framework with delay. The financial market is assumed to be either in a normal state(crash-free) or in a crash state. In the normal state the prices of risky assets behave as geometric Brownian motion, and in the crash state the prices of risky assets suddenly drop by a certain relative amount, which induces to a dropping of the total wealth relative to that of crash-free state. We obtain the ordinary differential equations satisfied by the optimal investment strategies and the optimal value functions under the power and exponential utilities, respectively. Finally, a numerical simulation is provided to illustrate the sensitivity of the optimal strategies with respective to the model parameters. 展开更多

从比赛最艰难情境(WCS)视角切入,探究职业足球运动员比赛跑动能力的下降是否影响其技术表现。通过STATS Pro?■计算机视频跟踪系统,采集2018年中超联赛275名球员整个赛季的8项比赛跑动表现和21项技术表现数据。以5 min内的高强度跑动距... 从比赛最艰难情境(WCS)视角切入,探究职业足球运动员比赛跑动能力的下降是否影响其技术表现。通过STATS Pro?■计算机视频跟踪系统,采集2018年中超联赛275名球员整个赛季的8项比赛跑动表现和21项技术表现数据。以5 min内的高强度跑动距离(v>5.5 m/s)的峰值时段(Peak-5min)作为比赛最艰难情境,同时考虑比赛场地、球队实力和对手实力3种比赛情境,创建广义混合线性模型,运用数据级数推断界定比赛跑动能力下降对技术表现的影响。结果显示:①WCS识别中,滚动时段Peak-5min的高强度跑动距离比固定时段多11.9%(ES=0.41,99%CI[0.4,0.43]),Post-5min高强度跑动距离下降幅度比固定时段高22.8%(ES=0.58,99%CI[0.55,0.61]);②经历高强度跑动峰值时段,运动员比赛跑动能力呈现清晰的下降趋势,表现为跑动距离和跑动频次减少、跑动平均时长和平均速度下降;③随着比赛跑动能力下降,运动员技术表现频次(传球次数、个人控球次数、控球时平均触球次数、运球跑次数、射门次数等)呈现清晰减少(ES=0.26~0.63),结合跑动的技术能力(控球接球时跑动速度和运球跑平均速度)清晰下降(ES=0.36~0.68),但技术表现质量(短传球成功率、向前传球成功率、争抢球成功次数、解围成功次数等)未随之下降。研究表明,职业足球运动员比赛跑动能力暂时下降时,根据潜意识的策略减少技术表现完成次数,保证技术表现质量维持相对稳定的水平。 展开更多

Interference Suppression Based on Angular Reciprocity and Covariance Matrix Reconstruction in Satellite Communication Systems

Satellite communication plays an important role in 6G systems.However,satellite communication systems are more susceptible to intentional or unintentional interference signals than other communication systems because of their working mechanism of transparent forwarding.For the purpose of eliminating the influence of interference,this paper develops an angle reciprocal interference suppression scheme based on the reconstruction of interferenceplus-noise covariance matrix(ARIS-RIN).Firstly,we utilize the reciprocity between the known beam central angle and the unknown signal arrival angle to estimate the angle of arrival(AOA)of desired signal due to the multi-beam coverage.Then,according to the priori known spatial spectrum distribution,the interferenceplus-noise covariance matrix(INCM)is reconstructed by integrating within the range except the direction of desired signal.In order to correct the estimation bias of the first two steps,the worst-case performance optimization technology is adopted in the process of solving the beamforming vector.Numerical simulation results show that the developed scheme:1)has a higher output signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio(SINR)under arbitrary signal-to-noise ratio(SNR);2)still has good performance under small snapshots;3)is robuster and easier to be realized when comparing with minimum variance distortionless response(MVDR)and the traditional diagonal loading algorithms. 展开更多

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)have demonstrated significant potential as Aerial Base Stations(A-BSs)for providing data services to Ground Users(GUs),attributed to their flexibility,cost-effectiveness,and high likelihood of establishing line-of-sight links.In this article,we formulate the joint power and trajectory optimization problem for a multi-UAV assisted wireless network with no-fly zones constrained,aiming at maximizing the Accumulated Service Data(ASD)of UAVs and minimizing the Average End Age of Information(AEAoI)of GUs.Specifically,this paper proposes the Multi-Agent worst-case Soft Actor Critic(MA-wcSAC)algorithm with a distributional safety-critic.The simulation results demonstrate that,compared to the Multi-Agent Soft Actor Critic(MA-SAC)algorithm,the proposed algorithm exhibits comparable data service performance while reducing security risks by at least 30%at different risk levels. 展开更多

考虑人机协同的多处理机工件调度依据工件所需人和机器的数量,优化人机资源分配,决策工件加工顺序,实现作业高效协同。基于人机在同一工位独立加工的共存情形与人机在不同工位同时加工的合作情形,面向人机协同作业抽取出了考虑人机共存... 考虑人机协同的多处理机工件调度依据工件所需人和机器的数量,优化人机资源分配,决策工件加工顺序,实现作业高效协同。基于人机在同一工位独立加工的共存情形与人机在不同工位同时加工的合作情形,面向人机协同作业抽取出了考虑人机共存与合作的多处理机工件调度问题。以最小化最大完工时间为目标,建立了混合整数规划模型,证明了该问题是强NP困难问题。针对一人两机环境,先将需要人机同时加工的并行工件连续安排,再将仅需机器或人加工的独立工件依照最长加工时间优先规则安排,设计了最差性能比为4/3的近似算法;针对多人多机环境,通过人机配对形成人机组,依照最长加工时间优先规则,先将并行工件安排到人机组上,再将独立工件安排到人或机器上,设计了最差性能比为2-1/(m+h)的近似算法,其中m为机器数量,h为工人数量。通过大规模仿真实验,验证了所提算法在求解质量和计算效率上的有效性。 展开更多

[目的]为了提升求解完整甲板板架桁材结构轮印载荷最危险位置的效率和效果,提出一种高效准确的桁材结构轮印载荷最危险工况分析求解方法。[方法]融合船舶结构力学先验知识与简化模型,首先根据所分析的指定桁材,预先在完整板架对应桁材上的不同位置施加集中力,根据响应大小挑选合适的桁材组成简化交叉梁系模型,并在简化模型上进行基于遗传算法求解融入先验知识的最危险工况分析。其次保持获得的简化模型上最危险载荷工况各载荷的相对位置不变,将这些载荷作用到完整板架与简化模型有相似模式的桁材上或指定桁材上进行遍历或摄动,最后得到完整板架指定桁材上的危险轮印载荷位置。[结果]算例结果表明,相比于无任何策略的直接求解,使用所提融合先验知识与简化模型方法获得的甲板桁材弯曲正应力最大提升16.1%,剪应力最大提升26.9%,计算资源仅约为直接求解方法的1/32,完整板架融入先验知识方法的1/8,且多次求解结果的差异较小。[结论]所提方法能够快速有效搜索到轮印载荷下甲板桁材的危险载荷位置。 展开更多

时序异常是一种程序在最坏执行时间(worst-case execution time,WCET)分析中反直觉的时间行为,其特征在于,尽管局部执行速度更快,但整体的执行时间可能会增加,因此WCET分析必须以保守的态度考虑所有可能的执行情况,以确保分析结果的安全... 时序异常是一种程序在最坏执行时间(worst-case execution time,WCET)分析中反直觉的时间行为,其特征在于,尽管局部执行速度更快,但整体的执行时间可能会增加,因此WCET分析必须以保守的态度考虑所有可能的执行情况,以确保分析结果的安全性,这使得WCET分析变得非常困难.相反地,如果能够确保要分析的程序与平台不存在时序异常,将大大减少WCET分析需要考虑的状态以及所花费的时间.因此,时序异常问题是WCET分析中的关键挑战.然而,尽管历经20多年的研究,学术界对时序异常问题仍未形成统一的定义和共识.自时序异常概念提出以来,学术界涌现出了各种文献描述时序异常,对于这些定义,可以根据定义方式和描述内容对它们进行分类,并分析它们各自的优劣.进一步地,如果对导致时序异常的原因进行研究,可以将其归结为调度策略、高速缓存以及组件影响这3个方面.此外,目前也有一些验证与消除时序异常的相关研究工作,这些工作也存在一些问题和不足.WCET分析的未来应当以分析方式为基础进行时序异常相关的研究,以更好地解决时序异常问题. 展开更多
