BACKGROUND ChatGPT was developed in November 2022 with studies showing its impressive performance in academic examinations,serving as a promising tool to answer questions even on controversial topics.Artificial intell...BACKGROUND ChatGPT was developed in November 2022 with studies showing its impressive performance in academic examinations,serving as a promising tool to answer questions even on controversial topics.Artificial intelligence(AI)achieving surface-level performance does not necessarily equate to a deep understanding of human cognition.The development of artificial wisdom,therefore,necessitates a shift from simply mimicking intelligent behavior to modeling the underlying mechanisms of human wisdom,including emotional understanding,ethical considerations,and contextual awareness.Several theories exist behind the death of Alexander the Great,but no definitive conclusion has been made.AIM To evaluate whether a hybrid approach,combining generative AI(ChatGPT)with human clinical judgment,can meaningfully reassess the cause of death of Alexander the Great.METHODS This is a cross-sectional study using ChatGPT(version 4 Pro).A search was performed with search terms describing the symptoms experienced by Alexander the Great and possible causes of his death:West Nile virus(WNV)encephalitis,poisoning,acute pancreatitis due to excessive alcohol consumption,typhoid fever,and malaria.The historical data and symptomatology were analyzed,weighing evidence and context in a manner akin to human wisdom.RESULTS The most likely cause of death of Alexander the Great,as generated by ChatGPT,was typhoid fever complicated by Guillain-Barrésyndrome(GBS).The hypothesis was based on the alignment between Alexander’s reported symptoms,such as prolonged high fever,severe abdominal pain,neurological decline,and the known clinical presentation of typhoid fever.However,after carefully reviewing the sources mentioned by ChatGPT,many did not back up the idea that typhoid caused GBS and instead pointed to Campylobacter jejuni as the more likely trigger.Other possible causes of death suggested by ChatGPT including acute pancreatitis from excessive alcohol consumption,infectious causes(WNV encephalitis,malaria),and poisoning were less likely.CONCLUSION While ChatGPT initially concluded typhoid fever with GBS as the most plausible cause of death,expert reappraisal of the sources and pathophysiology suggested that C.jejuni-associated GBS was more likely.This study exemplifies how incorporating AI’s pattern recognition with human scrutiny can yield responsible interpretations of historical records.展开更多

This study evaluates the effectiveness of integrating local wisdom with the use of Alat Pemecah,Peredam Ombak,dan Sedimen Traps(APPOSTRAPS)or Breakers,Wave Dampers,and Sediment Traps in empowering coastal communities ...This study evaluates the effectiveness of integrating local wisdom with the use of Alat Pemecah,Peredam Ombak,dan Sedimen Traps(APPOSTRAPS)or Breakers,Wave Dampers,and Sediment Traps in empowering coastal communities in Karawang,Indonesia,as a strategic response to climate change,coastal erosion,and sustainable ecotourism development.The research aims to assess the combined impact of APPOSTRAPS technology and the Jaga Alam Melalui Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Pesisir(JAM PASIR)or Protecting Nature Through Coastal Community Empowerment program in reducing coastal abrasion,restoring mangrove ecosystems,and fostering sustainable livelihoods.A mixed methods approach was applied,combining quantitative analysis of coastline changes using Geographic Information System(GIS)with Landsat and Sentinel-2 imagery(2022–2024),field surveys using differential GPS(±2 m accuracy),and qualitative methods including 150 interviews,18 months of participant observation,and community documentation.Results show a coastline extension of about 400 m(±15 m),increased ecotourism revenue from IDR 11.25 million per month in 2019 to IDR 90 million in 2024,women’s participation rising from 12%to 68%,and livelihood diversification reaching 110%of the target with 98 families involved.APPOSTRAPS,a patented breakwater and sediment trap made from repurposed tires,combined with the JAM PASIR program covering mangrove-based ecotourism,MSMEs for fishermen’s wives,waste management,and the Masyarakat Sadar Lingkungan and Bencana(MASDARLINA)or Environmentally and Disaster Aware Society system,effectively mitigates erosion and supports economic growth.The study concludes that integrating indigenous knowledge and technology strengthens community resilience and provides a replicable model for sustainable coastal adaptation.展开更多

Objective:To explore the clinical effect of improved incision in the extraction of impacted mandibular wisdom teeth.Methods:160 patients who were treated in our hospital from October,2024 to April,2025 and had their m...Objective:To explore the clinical effect of improved incision in the extraction of impacted mandibular wisdom teeth.Methods:160 patients who were treated in our hospital from October,2024 to April,2025 and had their mandibular impacted wisdom teeth removed according to the doctor’s advice were randomly divided into observation group and control group.The observation group used modified incision,while the control group used traditional triangular incision.The operation time,intraoperative visual analogue scale(VAS)pain score,pain VAS score on the 1st,2nd and 3rd day after operation,facial swelling on the 2nd day after operation,mouth opening limitation on the 2nd day after operation and the incidence of dry socket after operation were recorded and compared between the two groups.Results:There was no significant difference in operation time between the two groups(p>0.05).The VAS score of pain in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group at each time point during and after operation(p<0.05).On the second day after operation,the facial swelling and mouth opening limitation in the observation group were significantly lighter than those in the control group(p<0.05).The incidence of dry socket in the observation group was 1.25%(1/80),which was significantly lower than that in the control group(8.75%,7/80),and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion:The application of modified triangular incision in the extraction of impacted mandibular wisdom teeth can effectively relieve the pain during and after operation,reduce postoperative facial swelling and mouth opening limitation,and reduce the incidence of dry socket.展开更多

文摘Since the second half of the 20th century,the concept of global green development has gained increasing global attention,with the harmonious coexistence between humans and nature emerging as a critical issue.The cultural landscape of Jingmai Mountain old tea forest,as a typical representative of ecological wisdom in agricultural civilization,showcases a sustainable practice in tea production and livelihood system.Employing a combination of field investigation and literature analysis,this study systematically examines the ecological wisdom of the“forest-tea coexistence”system in Jingmai Mountain from 5 dimensions:tea forest cultivation,land use,village construction,residential buildings,and ethnic culture.The results indicate that Jingmai Mountain has established an integrated system of“ecological technology-spatial planning-cultural institution”for synergistic development:a multi-layered planting structure and vertical gradient development mode have enabled efficient resource utilization;The village layout of“Following the mountain terrain and close to the tea forest”and the climate-adaptive architecture reflect the harmonious unity of living environment and the natural environment;the belief in“Tea Spirit”and community-based governance mechanism ensure the institutionalization and sustainability of ecological protection.This system transforms traditional ecological knowledge into modern practices,providing important reference for the protection of agricultural cultural heritage and serving as a model for ecological protection and rural revitalization in the context of global green development.

文摘Objective:To explore the clinical effect of improved incision in the extraction of impacted mandibular wisdom teeth.Methods:160 patients who were treated in our hospital from October,2024 to April,2025 and had their mandibular impacted wisdom teeth removed according to the doctor’s advice were randomly divided into observation group and control group.The observation group used modified incision,while the control group used traditional triangular incision.The operation time,intraoperative visual analogue scale(VAS)pain score,pain VAS score on the 1st,2nd and 3rd day after operation,facial swelling on the 2nd day after operation,mouth opening limitation on the 2nd day after operation and the incidence of dry socket after operation were recorded and compared between the two groups.Results:There was no significant difference in operation time between the two groups(p>0.05).The VAS score of pain in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group at each time point during and after operation(p<0.05).On the second day after operation,the facial swelling and mouth opening limitation in the observation group were significantly lighter than those in the control group(p<0.05).The incidence of dry socket in the observation group was 1.25%(1/80),which was significantly lower than that in the control group(8.75%,7/80),and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion:The application of modified triangular incision in the extraction of impacted mandibular wisdom teeth can effectively relieve the pain during and after operation,reduce postoperative facial swelling and mouth opening limitation,and reduce the incidence of dry socket.

文摘Grounded in educational ecology and constructivist theory,this study examines the challenges and opportunities faced by English teachers in the Gene AI era.While Gene AI is efficient in surface-level tasks,it has limitations in cultural interpretation,ethical guidance,and metacognitive development.The paper proposes a tripartite framework for role transformation:cognitive reframing,pedagogical innovation,and ethical repositioning to help tackle the problem of functional substitution anxiety due to AI’s encroachment on traditional roles.The study concludes that English teachers must evolve into“intelligent curators”who can synergize AI’s technical prowess with human wisdom,prioritizing holistic human development over skill acquisition.

文摘This study constructs a theoretical model integrating traditional cultural ecological wisdom into STEAM education,exploring a new interpretation of the“unity of knowledge and action”concept in modern education.Research shows that incorporating traditional ecological wisdom,such as the harmony between humanity and nature and following the laws of nature,into STEAM education’s curriculum,teaching methods,and practical activities can significantly enhance students’interdisciplinary knowledge,practical abilities,and environmental awareness.Through data simulation and empirical analysis,the model’s effectiveness is confirmed,demonstrating its significant advantages in improving students’overall quality and cultivating talents with global perspectives and local sentiments.Innovatively,this study bridges traditional cultural ecological wisdom and STEAM education with“unity of knowledge and action,”offering new insights for educational reform.
