While artificial intelligence(AI)shows promise in education,its real-world effectiveness in specific settings like blended English as a Foreign Language(EFL)learning needs closer examination.This study investigated th...While artificial intelligence(AI)shows promise in education,its real-world effectiveness in specific settings like blended English as a Foreign Language(EFL)learning needs closer examination.This study investigated the impact of a blended teaching model incorporating AI tools on the Superstar Learning Platform for Chinese university EFL students.Using a mixed-methods approach,60 first-year students were randomized into an experimental group(using the AI-enhanced model)and a control group(traditional instruction)for 16 weeks.Data included test scores,learning behaviors(duration,task completion),satisfaction surveys,and interviews.Results showed the experimental group significantly outperformed the control group on post-tests and achieved larger learning gains.These students also demonstrated greater engagement through longer study times and higher task completion rates,and reported significantly higher satisfaction.Interviews confirmed these findings,with students attributing benefits to the model’s personalized guidance,structured content presentation(knowledge graphs),immediate responses,flexibility,and varied interaction methods.However,limitations were noted,including areas where the platform’s AI could be improved(e.g.,for assessing speaking/translation)and ongoing challenges with student self-discipline.The study concludes that this AI-enhanced blended model significantly improved student performance,engagement,and satisfaction in this EFL context.The findings offer practical insights for educators and platform developers,suggesting AI integration holds significant potential while highlighting areas for refinement.展开更多

To address the widespread challenges of insufficient classroom participation,difficulty maintaining learning interest,and inaccurate learning outcome assessment in existing teaching models,this study introduces a hybr...To address the widespread challenges of insufficient classroom participation,difficulty maintaining learning interest,and inaccurate learning outcome assessment in existing teaching models,this study introduces a hybrid and dual-teacher classroom model.Based on big data and online platforms,this study constructs a music teaching resource system that integrates online micro-lessons,real-time interaction,virtual choirs,collaborative composition,and learning behavior tracking to enhance the openness and personalization of teaching.Through comparative experiments,the study focuses on changes in student knowledge acquisition,musical skills,learning interest,and classroom engagement.Results show that the experimental group significantly outperforms the control group in terms of improvement in knowledge test scores,rhythm and pitch performance,task completion rate,and scores on the learning motivation questionnaire.Differences are particularly prominent in interaction frequency and the expressiveness of the work.The study shows that Group A demonstrates significant improvement in all three dimensions:interest increases from 3.1 to 4.2;autonomous learning motivation increases from 3.0 to 4.1;emotional engagement increases from 3.2 to 4.3,demonstrating strong positive effects.Experimental Group B shows the greatest improvement,with interest increasing from 3.0 to 4.5,autonomous learning motivation from 2.9 to 4.4,and emotional engagement from 3.1 to 4.6,indicating the most significant improvements in learning attitudes and emotions.展开更多

There have been numerous attempts recently to promote technology based education (Shrestha, 1997) in the poorer third world countries, but so far all these have not provided a sustainable solution as they are either c...There have been numerous attempts recently to promote technology based education (Shrestha, 1997) in the poorer third world countries, but so far all these have not provided a sustainable solution as they are either centered and controlled from abroad and relying solely on foreign donors for their sustenance or they are not web-based, which make distribution problematic, and some are not affordable by most of the local population in these places. In this paper we discuss an application, the Local College Learning Management System (LoColms) , which we are developing, that is both sustainable and economical to suit the situation inthese countries. The application is a web-based system, and aims at improving the traditional form of education by empowering the local universities. Its economicability comes from the fact that it is supported by traditional communication technology, the public switching telephone network system, PSTN, which eliminates the need for packet switched or dedicated private virtual networks (PVN) usually required in similar situations. At a later stage, we shall incorporate ontology and paging tools to improve resource sharability and storage optimization in the Proxy Caches (ProCa) and LoColms servers. The system is based on the client/server paradigm and its infrastructure consists of the PSTN, ProCa, with the learning centers accessing the universities by means of point-to-point protocol (PPP) .展开更多

In the recent years, IBD quality measures aiming to improve patients' care have been developed, multiple new medical therapies have been approved, new treatment goals have been set with the "treat--to--target" concept and drug monitoring has been implemented into IBD clinical management. Moreover, patients are increasingly using Internet resources to obtain information about their health conditions. The healthcare professional with an interest in treating IBD patients should deal with all these challenges in everyday practice by establishing, enhancing and maintaining a strong core of knowledge and skills related to IBD. This is an ongoing process and traditionally these needs are covered with additional reading of textbook or journal articles, attendance at meetings or conferences, or at local rounds. Web--based learning resources expand the options for knowledge acquisition and save time and costs as well. In the new era of communications technology, web-based resources can cover the educational needs of both patients and healthcare professionals and can contribute to improvement of disease management and patient care. Healthcare professionals can individually visit and navigate regularly relevant websites and tailor choices for educational activities according to their existing needs. They can also provide their patients with a few certified suitable internet resources. Unfortunately, though, it seldom takes advantage of the new technologies and capabilities offered by the modern World Wide Web. In this article, we present an interactive online platform that provides users with learning activities for students of English as a foreign language. The platform focuses on using audiovisual multimedia content and a user experience (UX) centered approach to provide learners with an enhanced learning experience that aims at improving their knowledge level while at the same time increasing their engagement and motivation to participate in learning. To achieve this, the platform uses advanced techniques, such as interactive vocabulary and pronunciation assistance, mini-games, embedded media, voice recording, and more. In addition, the platform provides educators with analytics about user engagement and performance. In this study, more than 100 young students participated in a preliminary use of the aforementioned platform and provided feedback concerning their experience. Both the platform’s metrics and the user-provided feedback indicated increased engagement and a preference of the participants for interactive audiovisual multimedia-based learning activities.</span> </p>展开更多

Its economicability comes from the fact that it is supported by traditional communication technology, the public switching telephone network system, PSTN, which eliminates the need for packet switched or dedicated private virtual networks (PVN) usually required in similar situations. At a later stage, we shall incorporate ontology and paging tools to improve resource sharability and storage optimization in the Proxy Caches (ProCa) and LoColms servers. The system is based on the client/server paradigm and its infrastructure consists of the PSTN, ProCa, with the learning centers accessing the universities by means of point-to-point protocol (PPP) .
文摘In a field rapidly evolving over the past few years, the management of inflammatory bowel diseases(IBD), Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, is becoming in-creasingly complex, demanding and challenging. In the recent years, IBD quality measures aiming to improve patients' care have been developed, multiple new medical therapies have been approved, new treatment goals have been set with the "treat--to--target" concept and drug monitoring has been implemented into IBD clinical management. Moreover, patients are increasingly using Internet resources to obtain information about their health conditions. The healthcare professional with an interest in treating IBD patients should deal with all these challenges in everyday practice by establishing, enhancing and maintaining a strong core of knowledge and skills related to IBD. This is an ongoing process and traditionally these needs are covered with additional reading of textbook or journal articles, attendance at meetings or conferences, or at local rounds. Web--based learning resources expand the options for knowledge acquisition and save time and costs as well. In the new era of communications technology, web-based resources can cover the educational needs of both patients and healthcare professionals and can contribute to improvement of disease management and patient care. Healthcare professionals can individually visit and navigate regularly relevant websites and tailor choices for educational activities according to their existing needs. They can also provide their patients with a few certified suitable internet resources. In this review, we explored the Internet using PubMed and Startpage(Google), for web-based IBD--related educational resources aiming to provide a guide for those interested in obtaining certified knowledge in this subject.
文摘<p align="left"> <span style="font-family:Verdana;">Online learning has been on an upward trend for many years and is becoming more and more prevalent every day, consistently presenting the less privileged parts of our society with an equal opportunity at education. Unfortunately, though, it seldom takes advantage of the new technologies and capabilities offered by the modern World Wide Web. In this article, we present an interactive online platform that provides users with learning activities for students of English as a foreign language. The platform focuses on using audiovisual multimedia content and a user experience (UX) centered approach to provide learners with an enhanced learning experience that aims at improving their knowledge level while at the same time increasing their engagement and motivation to participate in learning. To achieve this, the platform uses advanced techniques, such as interactive vocabulary and pronunciation assistance, mini-games, embedded media, voice recording, and more. In addition, the platform provides educators with analytics about user engagement and performance. In this study, more than 100 young students participated in a preliminary use of the aforementioned platform and provided feedback concerning their experience. Both the platform’s metrics and the user-provided feedback indicated increased engagement and a preference of the participants for interactive audiovisual multimedia-based learning activities.</span> </p>

文摘With the continuous development of artificial intelligence technology,its application field has gradually expanded.To further apply the deep reinforcement learning technology to the field of dynamic pricing,we build an intelligent dynamic pricing system,introduce the reinforcement learning technology related to dynamic pricing,and introduce existing research on the number of suppliers(single supplier and multiple suppliers),environmental models,and selection algorithms.A two-period dynamic pricing game model is designed to assess the optimal pricing strategy for e-commerce platforms under two market conditions and two consumer participation conditions.The first step is to analyze the pricing strategies of e-commerce platforms in mature markets,analyze the optimal pricing and profits of various enterprises under different strategy combinations,compare different market equilibriums and solve the Nash equilibrium.Then,assuming that all consumers are naive in the market,the pricing strategy of the duopoly e-commerce platform in emerging markets is analyzed.By comparing and analyzing the optimal pricing and total profit of each enterprise under different strategy combinations,the subgame refined Nash equilibrium is solved.Finally,assuming that the market includes all experienced consumers,the pricing strategy of the duopoly e-commerce platform in emerging markets is analyzed.
