Objective Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is a systemic autoimmune disease that affects the small joints of the whole body and degrades the patients’quality of life.Zhengqing Fengtongning(ZF)is a traditional Chinese medicine...Objective Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is a systemic autoimmune disease that affects the small joints of the whole body and degrades the patients’quality of life.Zhengqing Fengtongning(ZF)is a traditional Chinese medicine preparation used to treat RA.ZF may cause liver injury.In this study,we aimed to develop a prediction model for abnormal liver function caused by ZF.Methods This retrospective study collected data from multiple centers from January 2018 to April 2023.Abnormal liver function was set as the target variable according to the alanine transaminase(ALT)level.Features were screened through univariate analysis and sequential forward selection for modeling.Ten machine learning and deep learning models were compared to find the model that most effectively predicted liver function from the available data.Results This study included 1,913 eligible patients.The LightGBM model exhibited the best performance(accuracy=0.96)out of the 10 learning models.The predictive metrics of the LightGBM model were as follows:precision=0.99,recall rate=0.97,F1_score=0.98,area under the curve(AUC)=0.98,sensitivity=0.97 and specificity=0.85 for predicting ALT<40 U/L;precision=0.60,recall rate=0.83,F1_score=0.70,AUC=0.98,sensitivity=0.83 and specificity=0.97 for predicting 40≤ALT<80 U/L;and precision=0.83,recall rate=0.63,F1_score=0.71,AUC=0.97,sensitivity=0.63 and specificity=1.00 for predicting ALT≥80 U/L.ZF-induced abnormal liver function was found to be associated with high total cholesterol and triglyceride levels,the combination of TNF-αinhibitors,JAK inhibitors,methotrexate+nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,leflunomide,smoking,older age,and females in middle-age(45-65 years old).Conclusion This study developed a model for predicting ZF-induced abnormal liver function,which may help improve the safety of integrated administration of ZF and Western medicine.展开更多

In the meantime, 1007 World Heritage Sites have been inscribed on the World Heritage List （as of February 2015） and two sites have been delisted. This paper discusses the delisting procedure of a site from the World Heritage List based on the Operational Guidelines for the Implementation of the World Heritage Convention （henceforth OG）. First of all, the question of the possibility to delist a site from the World Heritage List, in general, is addressed. English is one of the world’s most widely studied and spoken languages now.In China,the local variety of English,referred to in this study as China English from the World Englishes perspective,has been widely debated...English is one of the world’s most widely studied and spoken languages now.In China,the local variety of English,referred to in this study as China English from the World Englishes perspective,has been widely debated regarding its recognition as an English variety among Chinese speakers.This study examines the perceptions of Chinese graduate students majoring in English in Thailand toward World Englishes,China English,and their tolerance of China English in the Chinese EFL classroom after completing a 15-week World Englishes course.Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with seven students and analyzed using qualitative content analysis.The findings indicated that while students acknowledged the legitimacy of World Englishes and China English in various contexts,they resisted its use in English language classrooms in China.Instead,they preferred conventional pedagogical approaches that prioritize native English varieties,particularly British and American English.These findings suggest that language educators in China should integrate diverse English varieties into the classroom by incorporating authentic learning materials and designing relevant learning activities.Such an approach would not only expose students to English diversity but also enhance their intercultural competence and global citizenship.展开更多

文摘Objective Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is a systemic autoimmune disease that affects the small joints of the whole body and degrades the patients’quality of life.Zhengqing Fengtongning(ZF)is a traditional Chinese medicine preparation used to treat RA.ZF may cause liver injury.In this study,we aimed to develop a prediction model for abnormal liver function caused by ZF.Methods This retrospective study collected data from multiple centers from January 2018 to April 2023.Abnormal liver function was set as the target variable according to the alanine transaminase(ALT)level.Features were screened through univariate analysis and sequential forward selection for modeling.Ten machine learning and deep learning models were compared to find the model that most effectively predicted liver function from the available data.Results This study included 1,913 eligible patients.The LightGBM model exhibited the best performance(accuracy=0.96)out of the 10 learning models.The predictive metrics of the LightGBM model were as follows:precision=0.99,recall rate=0.97,F1_score=0.98,area under the curve(AUC)=0.98,sensitivity=0.97 and specificity=0.85 for predicting ALT<40 U/L;precision=0.60,recall rate=0.83,F1_score=0.70,AUC=0.98,sensitivity=0.83 and specificity=0.97 for predicting 40≤ALT<80 U/L;and precision=0.83,recall rate=0.63,F1_score=0.71,AUC=0.97,sensitivity=0.63 and specificity=1.00 for predicting ALT≥80 U/L.ZF-induced abnormal liver function was found to be associated with high total cholesterol and triglyceride levels,the combination of TNF-αinhibitors,JAK inhibitors,methotrexate+nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,leflunomide,smoking,older age,and females in middle-age(45-65 years old).Conclusion This study developed a model for predicting ZF-induced abnormal liver function,which may help improve the safety of integrated administration of ZF and Western medicine.

文摘As of 2015 （UNESCO, 2015）, the over-40-year-old Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage （1972） has been ratified by 191 nations, making it a universal and internationally recognised instrument for the protection of cultural and natural heritage. In the meantime, 1007 World Heritage Sites have been inscribed on the World Heritage List （as of February 2015） and two sites have been delisted. This paper discusses the delisting procedure of a site from the World Heritage List based on the Operational Guidelines for the Implementation of the World Heritage Convention （henceforth OG）. First of all, the question of the possibility to delist a site from the World Heritage List, in general, is addressed. And based on this discussion, the necessity of the consent of the State Party to the WHC on whose territory the site to be delisted is located is then examined.
文摘English is one of the world’s most widely studied and spoken languages now.In China,the local variety of English,referred to in this study as China English from the World Englishes perspective,has been widely debated regarding its recognition as an English variety among Chinese speakers.This study examines the perceptions of Chinese graduate students majoring in English in Thailand toward World Englishes,China English,and their tolerance of China English in the Chinese EFL classroom after completing a 15-week World Englishes course.Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with seven students and analyzed using qualitative content analysis.The findings indicated that while students acknowledged the legitimacy of World Englishes and China English in various contexts,they resisted its use in English language classrooms in China.Instead,they preferred conventional pedagogical approaches that prioritize native English varieties,particularly British and American English.These findings suggest that language educators in China should integrate diverse English varieties into the classroom by incorporating authentic learning materials and designing relevant learning activities.Such an approach would not only expose students to English diversity but also enhance their intercultural competence and global citizenship.
文摘2025 has,so far,been a year of surprises.The United States under its reelected president,Donald Trump,has not only ramped up the U.S.trade war with China that he began in his first term,but has also unleashed a verbal assault and a barrage of tariffs against its neighbors,Canada and Mexico.It appears the age of globalization and rules-based free trade is over,at least as far as the giant U.S.economy is concerned.
