Purpose In order to avoiding the potential radiation harm caused by X-ray tube to the crew,and meeting the testing requirements for WLSF pad of Calorimeter Cell in the High Energy cosmic-Radiation Detection facility(HERD).Method Designed a testing system,which is composed by LED,LYSO crystal,and narrow bandpass filter.The stability of the testing system is validated by conducting long-term measurements of signal amplitudes using a PMT waveform sampling module.Results and conclusions The result showed that the deviation levels of the WLSF Pad’s light output test results are all less than 5%.The linear relationship between the results of testing system and the results obtained with the cosmic ray test has demonstrated the effectiveness of the testing system,which promises the further application in large-scale WLSF pads performance testing. 展开更多

波移光纤性能研究

对2种波移光纤的特性进行了研究.实验结果表明,型号为V-11 (200) MS的波移光纤整体性能比BCF-91A波移光纤性能更好.与前者相比,后者在20 mm的弯曲半径下的光传输损耗要高4.8倍.而同时,2个光纤的光衰减长度相当类似,分别为(2.00±0.0... 对2种波移光纤的特性进行了研究.实验结果表明,型号为V-11 (200) MS的波移光纤整体性能比BCF-91A波移光纤性能更好.与前者相比,后者在20 mm的弯曲半径下的光传输损耗要高4.8倍.而同时,2个光纤的光衰减长度相当类似,分别为(2.00±0.02)m和(1.98±0.02)m.此外,Y-11 (200) MS型波移光纤的相对光转换效率比BCF-91A的要高出50%.因此,在制作闪烁体中子探测器时,使用Y-11 (200) MS型波移光纤是一种很好的选择. 展开更多

Purpose To derive the temperature response of the basic unit of the electromagnetic calorimeter of the high energy cosmic-radiation detection(HERD)facility.Method Tested a method to measure HERD calorimeter cell(HCC)light yield using an ultraviolet Light-Emitting Diode with a wavelength of 300 nm,and established an experimental setup and tested the light yield of the HCC at different temperatures in a thermal chamber.Results and conclusions The result showed that the signal amplitudes variation of the HCC reached up to 10.2% with temperature ranging from 0 to 60℃,if we narrow the temperature range to 0-35℃,the variation was about 3.7% and it showed much better linearity.This result provides a good instruction on the thermal control of the HERD calorimeter(CALO)to improve its performance. 展开更多
