The stator contains several vibrators fabricated by bonding piezoelectric ceramics (PZTs) to a metal base. When two alternating current (AC) voltages with a 90° phase difference are applied to the PZTs, longitudinal and bending modes are excited in the vibrator. The bending vibrations of the vibrators are stacked to form the torsional vibration of the stator, ultimately generating longitudinal-torsional composite vibration. Both vibrators and the stator are excited to the resonance state. A standing wave is formed by superposition of longitudinal and torsional modes. The proposed motor is an in-plane vibration motor because the vibrations of the stator are in the circumferential plane. The finite element method (FEM) is used to validate the feasibility of the proposed motor. The fabricated stator contains five vibrators. The tested resonance frequencies of longitudinal and torsional modes are 44.42 kHz and 43.83 kHz, respectively. The stall torque is 0.3 N'm and no-load speed is 45 r/min. The highest efficiency is 30%. The applied driving voltage is 100 Vo.p (peak voltage) at 43.9 kHz. The designed motor is a parallel-actuated integral motor. It allows the vibrators to operate synchronously, and overcomes asynchronous issues that occur in traditional multi-vibrator motors.展开更多

文摘Inspired that kangaroo can buffer the impact and absorb vibration from the ground and keep the whole-body stable,an integrated kangaroo bio-inspired vibration suppression(IKBVS)structure considering vibration isolation-absorption simultaneously is proposed for low/wide band frequency vibration control.Based on skeleton mass, articulation friction, and the synergistic action among skeleton, articulation, and muscle/tendon,a vibration suppression model with more biological basic characteristics is derived. The validity of model and method is confirmed, and the static and dynamic analysis of the IKBVS system is carried out to investigate the vibration suppression performance. The quasi-zero stiffness region can be achieved with a smaller initial installation angle, medium rod length, smaller foot stiffness, and slightly lighter isolated mass in a wide displacement interval. The coupling mechanism of vibration isolation-absorption is revealed by parameter analysis. The results indicate that the IKBVS structure has favorite dynamic properties due to adjustable nonlinearity, namely, lower and adjustable resonance and anti-resonance frequency/peak and different levels of vibration suppression effect in high-frequency range are achieved readily. This research provides new insight into application of bio-inspired vibration suppression structures in various engineering systems for better vibration control.

文摘This research is focused on the calculation of a reasonable detonator delay time for realizing cut blast vibration control.First, the viscoelastic rock mass parameters corresponding to the engineering rock mass quality classification were determined based on wave theory of Kelvin medium. Then,a calculation model was obtained for the millisecond-delay cut blast vibration in Kelvin media using the Starfield charge superposition principle.Further, the influence of the delay time on the cut blast vibration was quantitatively analyzed and a method for calculating the reasonable cut blasting millisecond delay time is proposed according to the principle of dimensional analysis. Finally, field tests were used to verify the applicability of the method. The results show that 5 ms to 20 ms is a better detonator delay time range and cut blasting vibration can be effectively controlled using the delay time calculated by the calculation model described in this paper.
文摘This paper aims to explore and quantify the nonlinear vibration response of tri-directional functionally graded sandwich(3D-FGSW)plates partially supported by a Pasternak foundation(PF)subjected to blast loading(BL).A key objective is to develop a computationally efficient finite element framework capable of accurately capturing the complex behavior of 3D-FGSW plates. The studied configuration features a two-dimensional functionally graded material(2D-FGM)core between two threedimensional functionally graded material(3D-FGM)face layers.Nonlinear geometric effects, including mid-plane stretching, are modeled using von K arm an-type assumptions, and the governing equations are formulated via Hamilton's principle within an improved first-order shear deformation theory(iFSDT).The accuracy and computational efficiency of the proposed method are validated through comparison with existing benchmark solutions.Subsequently,a comprehensive parametric study is carried out to examine the effects of geometric dimensions, material properties, foundation sizes, and boundary conditions(BCs)on the nonlinear vibration of 3D-FGSW plates. The findings of this work are expected to provide valuable insights for the design and manufacturing of advanced sandwich structures subjected to BL.

文摘Excessive blasting-induced vibration during drilling-and-blasting excavation of deep tunnels can trigger geological hazards and compromise the stability of both the rock mass and support structures. This study focused on the deep double-line Sejila Mountain tunnel to systematically analyze the spatial response of blasting-induced vibration and to develop a prediction model through field tests and numerical simulations. The results revealed that the presence of a cross passage significantly altered propagation paths and the spatial distribution of blasting-induced vibration velocity. The peak particle velocity(PPV)at the cross-passage corner was amplified by approximately 1.92 times due to wave reflection and geometric focusing.Blasting-induced vibration waves attenuated non-uniformly across the tunnel cross-section,where PPV on the blast-face side was 1.54–6.56 times higher than that on the opposite side.We propose an improved PPV attenuation model that accounts for the propagation path effect. This model significantly improved fitting accuracy and resolved anomalous parameter(k and a)estimates in traditional equations, thereby improving prediction reliability.Furthermore, based on the observed spatial distribution of blasting-induced vibration, optimal monitoring point placement and targeted vibration control measures for tunnel blasting were discussed. These findings provide a scientific basis for designing blasting schemes and vibration mitigation strategies in deep tunnels.

文摘Vortex-induced vibration(VIV)of an underwater manipulator in pulsating flow presents a notable engineering problem in precise control due to the velocity variation in the flow. This study investigates the VIV response of an underwater manipulator subjected to pulsating flow, focusing on how different postures affect the behavior of the system. The effects of pulsating parameters and manipulator arrangement on the hydrodynamic coefficient, vibration response, motion trajectory, and vortex shedding behaviors were analyzed. Results indicated that the cross flow vibration displacement in pulsating flow increased by 32.14%compared to uniform flow, inducing a shift in the motion trajectory from a crescent shape to a sideward vase shape. In the absence of interference between the upper and lower arms, the lift coefficient of the manipulator substantially increased with rising pulsating frequency, reaching a maximum increment of 67.0%.This increase in the lift coefficient led to a 67.05%rise in the vibration frequency of the manipulator in the in-line direction. As the pulsating amplitude increased, the drag coefficient of the underwater manipulator rose by 36.79%,but the vibration frequency in the cross-flow direction decreased by 56.26%.Additionally,when the upper and lower arms remained in a state of mutual interference, the cross-flow vibration amplitudes of the upper and lower arms were approximately 1.84 and 4.82 times higher in a circular-elliptical arrangement compared to an elliptical-circular arrangement, respectively.Consequently, the flow field shifted from a P+S pattern to a disordered pattern, disrupting the regularity of the motion trajectory.

文摘Structural Health Monitoring(SHM)plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, integrity, longevity and economic efficiency of civil infrastructures. The field has undergone a profound transformation over the last few decades, evolving from traditional methods—often reliant on visual inspections—to data-driven intelligent systems. This review paper analyzes this historical trajectory, beginning with the approaches that relied on modal parameters as primary damage indicators. The advent of advanced sensor technologies and increased computational power brings a significant change, making Machine Learning(ML)a viable and powerful tool for damage assessment.More recently,Deep Learning(DL)has emerged as a paradigm shift, allowing for more automated processing of large data sets(such as the structural vibration signals and other types of sensors)with excellent performance and accuracy, often surpassing previous methods. This paper systematically reviews these technological milestones—from traditional vibration-based methods to the current state-of-the-art in deep learning. Finally,it critically examines emerging trends—such as Digital Twins and Transformer-based architectures—and discusses future research directions that will shape the next generation of SHM systems for civil engineering.
文摘Tactile sensing of subcutaneous organ vibrations provides a promising route toward human-machine interfaces and wear-able diagnostics, particularly for voice rehabilitation and silent-speech communication. Here,we present a bioinspired piezoelectric vibration sensor that mimics the graded stiffness and stress-based transduction mechanism of otolithic cilia in the human vestibular system. The device consists of a trapezoidal cantilever array with tip inertial masses, fabricated through a hybrid stereolithography 3D printing and laser micromachining process for rapid prototyping without cleanroom facilities.Finite-element modeling and experimental measurements demonstrate a fundamental resonance near 1.2 kHz,a 5%flat-bandwidth of 350 Hz,and an in-band charge sensitivity of 3.17 pC/g.A wearable proof-of-concept test further verifies the sensor's ability to reproducibly distinguish phoneme-specific vibration patterns in both time and frequency domains. This work establishes a foundation for bioinspired tactile sensing front-ends in wearable voice interfaces and other intelligent diagnostic systems integrated with machine-learning algorithms.

文摘Since the view that the localized rail third-order bending mode can cause high-order polygonization(mainly 18-23)of high-speed train wheels was put forward in 2017,many scholars have attempted to link a connection between the localized rail bending modes and wheel polygonization phenomenon and polygonal wheel passing frequency. This paper first establishes a flexible track model considering the structural and parametric characteristics of fasteners, verifies the model by using vehicle tracking test data, then investigates the influence of fastener parameter matching on the localized rail bending modes, and obtains the following conclusions:(1)There is nearly a 1:1 mapping relationship between the localized rail bending modal frequency and polygonal wheel passing(PWP)frequency, which supports that the localized rail bending mode is one of the causes of wheel polygonization.(2)The iron plate of the fastener system plays a role of dynamic vibration absorber in the vehicle-rail coupled system, and the fastener parameters significantly influence the localized rail bending modal vibration. Finally, this paper proposes a design principle of a high-frequency vibration-absorbing fastener, which provides a feasible solution to mitigate the localized rail bending modal vibration and high-order wheel polygonization.Meanwhile,it points out that this measure may induce other high-frequency vibration problems,e.g.,aggravating modal vibration above 800 Hz.Further, this paper proposes a concept of differentiated arrangement of fasteners, suggesting that different high-frequency vibration-absorbing fasteners be installed in different sections of the whole line to make the localized rail bending modal frequency of the whole line disordered, thus disrupting and further mitigating the development of the wheel polygonization.

文摘Although the effectiveness of a tuned viscous mass damper(TVMD)as an inerter-based device for vibration control in civil structures has been thoroughly investigated, there is a lack of systematic research regarding the application of TVMDs for seismic response control of industrial buildings coupled with mechanical equipment. Therefore, this study proposes ungrounded and grounded TVMDs to effectively utilize the mass of the mechanical equipment and fully exploit the capabilities of the inerter element. An optimal design methodology is developed by pursuing the maximum effective damping ratio and seeking the most rational TVMD control scheme.Validation of TVMD control performance is conducted through time-history analysis based on 20 real seismic ground motions recommended by ATC-40,and by providing a barrel mixer industrial building as a real-life numerical example. The results show that both an ungrounded and grounded TVMD can effectively mitigate the seismic response of the primary structure.Compared to the traditional tuned mass damper(TMD),TVMDs can obtain improved control performance for a given equipment mass ratio. Moreover,an ungrounded TVMD and a TMD show similar working mechanisms that tend to release the displacement of equipment to keep their optimal state, whereas equipment displacement for a grounded TVMD should be strictly limited to provide sufficient anti-force.

文摘Motor imbalance is a critical failure mode in rotating machinery, potentially causing severe equipment damage if undetected.Traditional vibration-based diagnostic methods rely on direct sensor contact, leading to installation challenges and measurement artifacts that can compromise accuracy. This study presents a novel radar-based framework for non-contact motor imbalance detection using 24 GHz continuous-wave radar.A dataset of 1802 experimental trials was sourced, covering four imbalance levels(0,10,20,30 g)across varying motor speeds(500–1500 rpm)and load torques(0–3 Nm).Dual-channel in-phase and quadrature radar signals were captured at 10,000 samples per second for 30-s intervals, preserving both amplitude and phase information for analysis.A multi-domain feature extraction methodology captured imbalance signatures in time, frequency, and complex signal domains. From 65 initial features, statistical analysis using Kruskal–Wallis tests identified significant descriptors, and recursive feature elimination with Random Forest reduced the feature set to 20 dimensions, achieving 69%dimensionality reduction without loss of performance.Six machine learning algorithms,Random Forest,Extra Trees Classifier,Extreme Gradient Boosting,Categorical Boosting,Support Vector Machine with radial basis function kernel, and k-Nearest Neighbors were evaluated with grid-search hyperparameter optimization and five-fold cross-validation.The Extra Trees Classifier achieved the best performance with 98.52%test accuracy,98%cross-validation accuracy, and minimal variance, maintaining per-class precision and recall above 97%.Its superior performance is attributed to its randomized split selection and full bootstrapping strategy, which reduce variance and overfitting while effectively capturing the nonlinear feature interactions and non-normal distributions present in the dataset. The model’s average inference time of 70 ms enables near real-time deployment.Comparative analysis demonstrates that the radar-based framework matches or exceeds traditional contact-based methods while eliminating their inherent limitations, providing a robust, scalable, and noninvasive solution for industrial motor condition monitoring, particularly in hazardous or space-constrained environments.

文摘The latest generation of aero engines has set higher standards for thrust-to-weight ratio and energy conversion efficiency, making it imperative to address the challenge of efficiently and accurately machining film cooling holes. It has been demonstrated that conventional long-pulse lasers are incapable of meeting the elevated quality surface finish requirements for these holes,a consequence of the severe thermal defects. The employment of backside water-assisted laser drilling technology confers a number of distinct advantages in terms of mitigating laser thermal damage, thus representing a highly promising solution to this challenge. However, significant accumulation of bubbles and machining products during the backside water-assisted laser drilling process has been demonstrated to have a detrimental effect on laser transmission and machining stability, thereby reducing machining quality. In order to surmount these challenges,a novel method has been proposed, namely an ultrasonic shock water flow-assisted picosecond laser drilling technique.Numerical models for ultrasonic acoustic streaming and particle tracking for machining product transport have been established to investigate the mechanism. The simulation results demonstrated that the majority of the machining products could rapidly move away from the machining area because of the action of acoustic streaming, thereby avoiding the accumulation of bubbles and products.Subsequent analysis, comparing the process performance in micro-hole machining, confirmed that the ultrasonic field could effectively eliminate bubble and chip accumulation, thus significantly improving micro-hole quality.Furthermore, the impact of ultrasonic and laser parameters on micro-hole quality under varying machining methods was thoroughly investigated. The findings demonstrated that the novel methodology outlined in this study yielded superior-quality micro-holes at elevated ultrasonic and laser power levels,in conjunction with reduced laser frequency and scanning velocity. The taper of the micro-holes produced by the new method was reduced by more than 25%compared with the other conventional methods.

文摘Time-delayed blasting is widely utilized in engineering to mitigate induced vibration hazards and enhance fragmentation. The underlying vibration reduction principle is the decrease of the charge weight per delay, while the potential for further vibration reduction remains debated, largely due to unclear underlying mechanisms. In light of the popularization of electronic detonators and the representativeness of double-hole configurationsfor multiple blastholes,it is essential to investigate the vibration characteristics induced by time-delayed double blastholes. Therefore,a series of doubleborehole experimental blasts was conducted in an underground roadway to clarify the variation in vibration from single-hole to dual-hole conditions.Based on the experimental data and inherent limitations,an exact full-fieldtheoretical model was further employed to systematically analyze the effects of delay time, charge length, and borehole inclination angle on vibrations induced by various doublehole configurations. The experimental data and theoretical analysis reveal that the general scaled distance effectively predicts vibrations in delayed blasting but does not reflectvibration reduction.Increasing delay time causes fluctuatingPPVs,which stabilize slightly above single-hole PPVs as delay times exceed a certain value. The delayed blasting primarily reduces near-fieldfrequencies.Longer charge lengths in double boreholes increase PPV levels and attenuation rates within a certain length, and the vibration behavior of combined long and short charge lengths is governed by the long blasthole.Larger blasthole inclination angles enhance vibration amplitude and reduce PPV attenuation rates.Optimizing inclination angles is more critical than adjusting delay times, and parallel boreholes offer the best vibration control.

文摘Traditional dynamic analysis of mechanical structures, often limited to individual beams or plates, fails to fully capture their dynamic behaviors. In systems where space and mass are constrained, such as the battery support structures in electric aircraft, conventional absorbers and isolators are insufficient for effective vibration control. This study simplifies the battery support structure of electric aircraft as an integrated composite beam consisting of three interconnected beams, and investigated its structural dynamics properties and nonlinear vibration control under thermal conditions caused by battery heat. The nonlinear vibration control is performed using the Nitinol steel wire ropes(Ni Ti-ST),with nonlinear damping properties. The natural frequencies of system are determined using the Rayleigh-Ritz technique.Theoretical results are validated through both Finite Element Method(FEM)and hammer tests. Moreover, the dynamic equations are derived using the Lagrange method and discretized via the Galerkin Truncation Method(GTM).The Harmonic Balance Method(HBM)is used to evaluate the vibration responses of the integrated model, with further verification through the Runge-Kutta Method(RKM).The experiments are conducted to corroborate the theoretical analysis. The results show that the system frequency changes in stages with the increase of the stiffness of the integrated composite beam connection.Especially in the case of varying environments,as the temperature increases, the frequency of system will first increase to a certain maximum value and then gradually decrease.Furthermore, the NiTi-ST effectively reduces vibration in the integrated composite beam, particularly under varying temperatures and external excitations.
