文摘This article presents the design of a microfabricated bio-inspired flapping-wing Nnano Aaerial Vvehicle(NAV),driven by an electromagnetic system. Our approach is based on artificial wings composed of rigid bodies connected by compliant links, which optimise aerodynamic forces though replicating the complex wing kinematics of insects. The originality of this article lies in a new design methodology based on a triple equivalence between a 3D model,a multibody model, and a mass/spring model(0D)which reduces the number of parameters in the problem. This approach facilitates NAV optimisation by using only the mass/spring model, thereby simplifying the design process while maintaining high accuracy. Two wing geometries are studied and optimised in this article to produce large-amplitude wing motions(approximately 40^\circ),and enabling flapping and twisting motion in quadrature. The results are validated thanks to experimental measurements for the large amplitude and through finite element simulations for the combined motion, confirming the effectiveness of this strategy for a NAV weighing less than 40 mg with a wingspan of under 3 cm.

文摘Inspired that kangaroo can buffer the impact and absorb vibration from the ground and keep the whole-body stable,an integrated kangaroo bio-inspired vibration suppression(IKBVS)structure considering vibration isolation-absorption simultaneously is proposed for low/wide band frequency vibration control.Based on skeleton mass, articulation friction, and the synergistic action among skeleton, articulation, and muscle/tendon,a vibration suppression model with more biological basic characteristics is derived. The validity of model and method is confirmed, and the static and dynamic analysis of the IKBVS system is carried out to investigate the vibration suppression performance. The quasi-zero stiffness region can be achieved with a smaller initial installation angle, medium rod length, smaller foot stiffness, and slightly lighter isolated mass in a wide displacement interval. The coupling mechanism of vibration isolation-absorption is revealed by parameter analysis. The results indicate that the IKBVS structure has favorite dynamic properties due to adjustable nonlinearity, namely, lower and adjustable resonance and anti-resonance frequency/peak and different levels of vibration suppression effect in high-frequency range are achieved readily. This research provides new insight into application of bio-inspired vibration suppression structures in various engineering systems for better vibration control.

文摘High-pressure hydrides have emerged as promising superconducting materials, attracting considerable attention in recent years. In this work,by combining the stochastic self-consistent harmonic approximation with first-principles calculations,we elucidate crucial corrections to the vibrational and superconducting properties arising from quantum and anharmonic ionic vibrations of SnH4 in P63/mmc phase at 150–240 GPa.Compared with the classical harmonic approximation, inclusion of these effects results in a pronounced softening(over 500 cm^(−1))of hydrogen-derived optical phonon modes, and increases the superconducting critical temperature(Tc)from 65 K to 79 K(μ^(*)=0.1;isotropic Migdal–Eliashberg theory),corresponding to a 22%enhancement.For μ^(*)=0.13,the predicted Tc is approximately 70 K.Analysis of the Eliashberg spectral function confirms that hydrogen vibrational modes constitute the dominant tuning mechanism. These results provide quantitative insights into quantum ionic effects in hydride superconductors.

文摘A novel vibration isolation system designed for superior performance in low-frequency environments is proposed in this work. The isolator is based on a unique hexagonal arrangement of linear springs, allowing for an adjustable geometric configuration via the initial inclination angle.Based on the principle of Lagrangian mechanics, the equation of motion governing the structural dynamics is rigorously derived. The system is modeled as a strongly nonlinear single-degree-of-freedom dynamical system, loaded with a normalized payload and subject to harmonic base excitation. To analyze the steady-state response, the harmonic balance method is employed, providing accurate predictions of the payload's vibration amplitude and displacement transmissibility as functions of both the base excitation amplitude and frequency. The analysis reveals a direct relationship between the isolator's geometric and stiffness parameters and its load-bearing capacity, leading to the identification of three distinct operational regimes.Depending on the unloaded initial inclination angle, the equivalent stiffness ratio, and the payload design configuration, the system can exhibit one of three vibration isolation modes:(i)the quasizero stiffness(QZS)isolation mode,(ii)the zero linear stiffness with controllable nonlinear stiffness, and(iii)the full-band perfect zero stiffness. The vibration isolation performance of the proposed structure is thoroughly discussed for all three oscillation modes in terms of frequency response curves, displacement transmissibility, and time-domain responses. The key novel finding is that this structure can operate as a full-band,high-performance vibration isolator when the initial inclination angle is designed to be a right angle, enabling full isolation of the maximum possible payload. Moreover, the analytical results and numerical simulations demonstrate that the isolator's displacement transmissibility T with the unit dB tends to-∞as the air-damping coefficient approaches zero, enabling ideal vibration isolation across the entire excitation frequency range. These analytical insights are validated through comprehensive numerical simulations, which show excellent agreement with the theoretical predictions.

文摘While the instantaneous power of triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)has significantly increased, the average power remains unsatisfactory.Achieving a continuous and stable output remains a significant challenge.Herein,a self-excited vibration TENG inspired by woodpeckers is proposed. This structure converts gravitational potential energy into the continuous vibration of a cantilever beam.A dynamic simulation model of the system is established, and the influence of different structural parameters on the motion characteristics and electrical performance is discussed.Meanwhile, the experimental results indicate that the accelerated motion(approximate free-fall motion)is transformed into approximately uniform velocity motion. For a 3 cm^(2) TENG,the instantaneous power density reaches 2.03 W m^(-2),and the average power is 127%higher than that of the conventional cantilever beam mode. The proposed self-excited vibration mechanism is a promising approach for enhancing the average power and operational duration of TENGs.It shows great potential in fluid energy harvesting.

文摘With the convergence of sensor technology, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things, intelligent vibration monitoring systems are undergoing transformative development. This evolution imposes stringent demands on the miniaturization, low power consumption, high integration, and environmental adaptability of transducers.Graphene, renowned for its superlative physicochemical attributes, holds significant promise for application in micro-and nanoelectromechanical systems(M/NEMS).However,the inherent central symmetry of graphene restricts its utility in piezoelectric devices.Inspired by the sensilla trichoidea of spiders,a threedimensional(3D)cilia-like monolayer graphene omnidirectional vibration transducer(CGVT)based on a stress-induced self-assembly mechanism is fabricated, demonstrating notable performance and high-temperature resistance.Furthermore,3D vibration vector decoding is realized via an omnidirectional decoupling algorithm based on one-dimensional convolutional neural networks(1DCNN)to achieve precise discrimination of vibration directions. The 3D bionic vibration-sensing system incorporates a spider web structure into a bionic cilia MEMS chip through a gold wire bonding process, enabling the realization of three distinct mechanisms for vibration detection and recognition. In particular, these devices are manufactured using silicon-based semiconductor processing techniques and MEMS fabrication methodologies, leading to a substantial reduction in the dimensions of individual components compared to traditional counterparts.
文摘This paper aims to explore and quantify the nonlinear vibration response of tri-directional functionally graded sandwich(3D-FGSW)plates partially supported by a Pasternak foundation(PF)subjected to blast loading(BL).A key objective is to develop a computationally efficient finite element framework capable of accurately capturing the complex behavior of 3D-FGSW plates. The studied configuration features a two-dimensional functionally graded material(2D-FGM)core between two threedimensional functionally graded material(3D-FGM)face layers.Nonlinear geometric effects, including mid-plane stretching, are modeled using von K arm an-type assumptions, and the governing equations are formulated via Hamilton's principle within an improved first-order shear deformation theory(iFSDT).The accuracy and computational efficiency of the proposed method are validated through comparison with existing benchmark solutions.Subsequently,a comprehensive parametric study is carried out to examine the effects of geometric dimensions, material properties, foundation sizes, and boundary conditions(BCs)on the nonlinear vibration of 3D-FGSW plates. The findings of this work are expected to provide valuable insights for the design and manufacturing of advanced sandwich structures subjected to BL.

文摘Excessive blasting-induced vibration during drilling-and-blasting excavation of deep tunnels can trigger geological hazards and compromise the stability of both the rock mass and support structures. This study focused on the deep double-line Sejila Mountain tunnel to systematically analyze the spatial response of blasting-induced vibration and to develop a prediction model through field tests and numerical simulations. The results revealed that the presence of a cross passage significantly altered propagation paths and the spatial distribution of blasting-induced vibration velocity. The peak particle velocity(PPV)at the cross-passage corner was amplified by approximately 1.92 times due to wave reflection and geometric focusing.Blasting-induced vibration waves attenuated non-uniformly across the tunnel cross-section,where PPV on the blast-face side was 1.54–6.56 times higher than that on the opposite side.We propose an improved PPV attenuation model that accounts for the propagation path effect. This model significantly improved fitting accuracy and resolved anomalous parameter(k and a)estimates in traditional equations, thereby improving prediction reliability.Furthermore, based on the observed spatial distribution of blasting-induced vibration, optimal monitoring point placement and targeted vibration control measures for tunnel blasting were discussed. These findings provide a scientific basis for designing blasting schemes and vibration mitigation strategies in deep tunnels.

文摘Vortex-induced vibration(VIV)of an underwater manipulator in pulsating flow presents a notable engineering problem in precise control due to the velocity variation in the flow. This study investigates the VIV response of an underwater manipulator subjected to pulsating flow, focusing on how different postures affect the behavior of the system. The effects of pulsating parameters and manipulator arrangement on the hydrodynamic coefficient, vibration response, motion trajectory, and vortex shedding behaviors were analyzed. Results indicated that the cross flow vibration displacement in pulsating flow increased by 32.14%compared to uniform flow, inducing a shift in the motion trajectory from a crescent shape to a sideward vase shape. In the absence of interference between the upper and lower arms, the lift coefficient of the manipulator substantially increased with rising pulsating frequency, reaching a maximum increment of 67.0%.This increase in the lift coefficient led to a 67.05%rise in the vibration frequency of the manipulator in the in-line direction. As the pulsating amplitude increased, the drag coefficient of the underwater manipulator rose by 36.79%,but the vibration frequency in the cross-flow direction decreased by 56.26%.Additionally,when the upper and lower arms remained in a state of mutual interference, the cross-flow vibration amplitudes of the upper and lower arms were approximately 1.84 and 4.82 times higher in a circular-elliptical arrangement compared to an elliptical-circular arrangement, respectively.Consequently, the flow field shifted from a P+S pattern to a disordered pattern, disrupting the regularity of the motion trajectory.
文摘This study investigates the uncertain dynamic characterization of hybrid composite plates by employing advanced machine-assisted finite element methodologies.Hybrid composites, widely used in aerospace, automotive, and structural applications, often face variability in material properties, geometric configurations, and manufacturing processes, leading to uncertainty in their dynamic response. To address this, three surrogate-based machine learning approaches like radial basis function(RBF),multivariate adaptive regression splines(MARS),and polynomial neural networks(PNN)are integrated with a finite element framework to efficiently capture the stochastic behavior of these plates. The research focuses on predicting the first three natural frequencies under material uncertainties, which are critical to ensuring structural reliability.Monte Carlo simulation(MCS)is used as a benchmark for generating probabilistic datasets, including mean values, standard deviations, and probability density functions. The surrogate models are then trained and validated against these datasets, enabling accurate representation of uncertainty with substantially fewer samples compared to conventionalMCS.Among the methods studied, the RBFmodel demonstrates superior performance, closely approximating MCS results with a reduced sample size, thereby achieving significant computational savings. The proposed framework not only reduces computational time and costs but also maintains high predictive accuracy, making it well-suited for complex engineering systems.Beyond free vibration analysis, the methodology can be extended to more sophisticated scenarios, such as forced vibration, damping effects, and nonlinear structural responses.Overall, this work presents a computationally efficient and robust approach for surrogate-based uncertainty quantification, advancing the analysis and design of hybrid composite structures under uncertainty.

文摘Since the view that the localized rail third-order bending mode can cause high-order polygonization(mainly 18-23)of high-speed train wheels was put forward in 2017,many scholars have attempted to link a connection between the localized rail bending modes and wheel polygonization phenomenon and polygonal wheel passing frequency. This paper first establishes a flexible track model considering the structural and parametric characteristics of fasteners, verifies the model by using vehicle tracking test data, then investigates the influence of fastener parameter matching on the localized rail bending modes, and obtains the following conclusions:(1)There is nearly a 1:1 mapping relationship between the localized rail bending modal frequency and polygonal wheel passing(PWP)frequency, which supports that the localized rail bending mode is one of the causes of wheel polygonization.(2)The iron plate of the fastener system plays a role of dynamic vibration absorber in the vehicle-rail coupled system, and the fastener parameters significantly influence the localized rail bending modal vibration. Finally, this paper proposes a design principle of a high-frequency vibration-absorbing fastener, which provides a feasible solution to mitigate the localized rail bending modal vibration and high-order wheel polygonization.Meanwhile,it points out that this measure may induce other high-frequency vibration problems,e.g.,aggravating modal vibration above 800 Hz.Further, this paper proposes a concept of differentiated arrangement of fasteners, suggesting that different high-frequency vibration-absorbing fasteners be installed in different sections of the whole line to make the localized rail bending modal frequency of the whole line disordered, thus disrupting and further mitigating the development of the wheel polygonization.
文摘The remarkable mechanical and physical characteristics of functionally graded(FG)graphene origami(GOri)-enabled auxetic metamaterial(GOEAM)structures, including their high strength-to-weight ratio, tunable stiffness and strength, and negative Poisson's ratio(NPR),have demonstrated significant promise for a range of engineering applications. This paper aims to investigate the nonlinear free vibrations behaviors of FG-GOEAM non-uniform thickness skew-microplate with rectangular and elliptical planform and resting on Kerr-elastic foundation in thermal environment.Within the framework of the higher-order shear deformation theory(HSDT),von Kármán assumption, modified couple stress theory(MCST)and by employing Hamilton's principle the nonlinear governing equations of motion are established.By combining an iterative technique with a displacement control strategy,an isogeometric analysis(IGA)approach used to determine the nonlinearity in free vibration,as measured by the nonlinear frequency ratio associated with the center deflection amplitude. The effects of GOri distribution patterns, weight fraction,length-scale parameter, temperature difference,skew-angle,and micro-plate dimensions on the nonlinear free vibrations behaviors of the FG-GOEAM non-uniform thickness skew-microplate are revealed through a thorough parametric study. This result can be applied in studies on the design of micro-electro-mechanical devices operating in various complex environments and conditions.

文摘Time-delayed blasting is widely utilized in engineering to mitigate induced vibration hazards and enhance fragmentation. The underlying vibration reduction principle is the decrease of the charge weight per delay, while the potential for further vibration reduction remains debated, largely due to unclear underlying mechanisms. In light of the popularization of electronic detonators and the representativeness of double-hole configurationsfor multiple blastholes,it is essential to investigate the vibration characteristics induced by time-delayed double blastholes. Therefore,a series of doubleborehole experimental blasts was conducted in an underground roadway to clarify the variation in vibration from single-hole to dual-hole conditions.Based on the experimental data and inherent limitations,an exact full-fieldtheoretical model was further employed to systematically analyze the effects of delay time, charge length, and borehole inclination angle on vibrations induced by various doublehole configurations. The experimental data and theoretical analysis reveal that the general scaled distance effectively predicts vibrations in delayed blasting but does not reflectvibration reduction.Increasing delay time causes fluctuatingPPVs,which stabilize slightly above single-hole PPVs as delay times exceed a certain value. The delayed blasting primarily reduces near-fieldfrequencies.Longer charge lengths in double boreholes increase PPV levels and attenuation rates within a certain length, and the vibration behavior of combined long and short charge lengths is governed by the long blasthole.Larger blasthole inclination angles enhance vibration amplitude and reduce PPV attenuation rates.Optimizing inclination angles is more critical than adjusting delay times, and parallel boreholes offer the best vibration control.

文摘This study proposes a multi-scale finite element simulation method to investigate the vehicle-induced local vibration effects of orthotropic steel decks(OSDs)by considering tire-road contact conditions. It also focuses on the differences between the dynamic amplification factors(DAFs)of local deflection and strain compared to those corresponding overall response,as well as the influence of road roughness and driving speed on localized DAFs.The results show that vehicle-induced local vibration is distinct near vehicle wheels, especially within 0.5 m from the wheel centerline in the transverse direction and 0.3 m in the longitudinal direction. The localized strain DAFs may potentially exceed 1.4.Generally,the dynamic deflection of a bridge deck is mainly determined by the first system stiffness of OSDs,i.e.,sectional stiffness of the bridge girder. However, the dynamic strain of OSDs arises from the combination of overall bridge modes and local bridge deck panel modes, leading to a higher localized strain DAFs of approximately 16%compared to the overall bridge.Longitudinal and vertical strain DAFs typically occur on U-ribs,while the transverse strain DAFs often arise at stiffness discontinuities of OSD.The recurrent structural variations of OSDs in the transverse and vertical directions result in the maximum vertical strain DAF.
