Mobile edge computing(MEC) sinks cloud services to the edge of network, which reduces the delay jitter caused by remote cloud computing. Software-defined networking(SDN) is an emerging network paradigm with the features of logic centralized control and programmability. In this paper, we construct an SDN-assisted MEC network architecture for the vehicular network. By introducing SDN controller, the efficiency and flexibility of vehicular network are improved, and the network state can be perceived from the global perspective. To further reduce the system overhead, the problem of vehicle to everything(V2X) offloading and resource allocation is proposed, where the optimal offloading decision, transmission power control, subchannels assignment, and computing resource allocation scheme are given. The optimization problem is transformed into three stages because of the heterogeneity of the offloaded tasks and the NP-hard property of the problem. Firstly, the analytic hierarchy process is used to select initial offloading node, then stateless Q-learning is adopted to allocate transmission power, subchannels and computing resources. In addition, the offloading decision is modeled as a potential game, and the Nash equilibrium is proved by the potential function construction. Finally, the numerical results show that the proposed mechanism can effectively reduce the system overhead and achieve better results compared with others’ algorithms.展开更多

文摘Recent advancements in the Vehicular Ad-hoc Network(VANET)have tremendously addressed road-related challenges.Specifically,Named Data Networking(NDN)in VANET has emerged as a vital technology due to its outstanding features. However, the NDN communication framework fails to address two important issues. The current NDN employs a pull-based content retrieval network, which is inefficient in disseminating crucial content in Vehicular Named Data Networking(VNDN).Additionally,VNDN is vulnerable to illusion attackers due to the administrative-less network of autonomous vehicles.Although various solutions have been proposed for detecting vehicles’behavior, they inadequately addressed the challenges specific to VNDN.To deal with these two issues,we propose a novel push-based crucial content dissemination scheme that extends the scope of VNDN from pullbased content retrieval to a push-based content forwarding mechanism. In addition,we exploitMachine Learning(ML)techniques within VNDN to detect the behavior of vehicles and classify them as attackers or legitimate. We trained and tested our system on the publicly accessible dataset Vehicular Reference Misbehavior(VeReMi).We employed fiveML classification algorithms and constructed the bestmodel for illusion attack detection. Our results indicate that RandomForest(RF)achieved excellent accuracy in detecting all illusion attack types in VeReMi,with an accuracy rate of 100%for type 1 and type 2,96%for type 4 and type 16,and 95%for type 8.Thus,RF can effectively evaluate the behavior of vehicles and identify attacker vehicles with high accuracy. The ultimate goal of our research is to improve content exchange and secureVNDNfromattackers.Thus,ourML-based attack detection and preventionmechanismensures trustworthy content dissemination and prevents attacker vehicles from sharing misleading information in VNDN.

文摘The current resource allocation in 5G vehicular networks for mobile cloud communication faces several challenges, such as low user utilization, unbalanced resource allocation, and extended adaptive allocation time.We propose an adaptive allocation algorithm for mobile cloud communication resources in 5G vehicular networks to address these issues. This study analyzes the components of the 5G vehicular network architecture to determine the performance of different components. It is ascertained that the communication modes in 5G vehicular networks for mobile cloud communication include in-band and out-of-band modes.Furthermore, this study analyzes the single-hop and multi-hop modes in mobile cloud communication and calculates the resource transmission rate and bandwidth in different communication modes. The study also determines the scenario of one-way and two-way vehicle lane cloud communication network connectivity, calculates the probability of vehicle network connectivity under different mobile cloud communication radii, and determines the amount of cloud communication resources required by vehicles in different lane scenarios.Based on the communication status of users in 5G vehicular networks, this study calculates the bandwidth and transmission rate of the allocated channels using Shannon’s formula. It determines the adaptive allocation of cloud communication resources, introduces an objective function to obtain the optimal solution after allocation, and completes the adaptive allocation process. The experimental results demonstrate that, with the application of the proposed method, the maximum utilization of user communication resources reaches approximately 99%.The balance coefficient curve approaches 1,and the allocation time remains under 2 s.This indicates that the proposed method has higher adaptive allocation efficiency.
文摘Implementing machine learning algorithms in the non-conducive environment of the vehicular network requires some adaptations due to the high computational complexity of these algorithms.K-clustering algorithms are simplistic, with fast performance and relative accuracy. However, their implementation depends on the initial selection of clusters number(K),the initial clusters’centers, and the clustering metric. This paper investigated using Scott’s histogram formula to estimate the K number and the Link Expiration Time(LET)as a clustering metric.Realistic traffic flows were considered for three maps, namely Highway,Traffic Light junction, and Roundabout junction,to study the effect of road layout on estimating the K number.A fast version of the PAM algorithm was used for clustering with a modification to reduce time complexity. The Affinity propagation algorithm sets the baseline for the estimated K number, and the Medoid Silhouette method is used to quantify the clustering.OMNET++,Veins, and SUMO were used to simulate the traffic, while the related algorithms were implemented in Python. The Scott’s formula estimation of the K number only matched the baseline when the road layout was simple. Moreover, the clustering algorithm required one iteration on average to converge when used with LET.

文摘Advancements in the vehicular network technology enable real-time interconnection, data sharing, and intelligent cooperative driving among vehicles. However, malicious vehicles providing illegal and incorrect information can compromise the interests of vehicle users.Trust mechanisms serve as an effective solution to this issue. In recent years, many researchers have incorporated blockchain technology to manage and incentivize vehicle nodes, incurring significant overhead and storage requirements due to the frequent ingress and egress of vehicles within the area.In this paper,we propose a distributed vehicular network scheme based on trust scores.Specifically, the designed architecture partitions multiple vehicle regions into clusters. Then, cloud supervision systems(CSSs)verify the accuracy of the information transmitted by vehicles.Additionally, the trust scores for vehicles are calculated to reward or penalize them based on the trust evaluation model. Our proposed scheme demonstrates good scalability and effectively addresses the main cause of malicious information distribution among vehicles. Both theoretical and experimental analysis show that our scheme outperforms the compared schemes.
文摘This work aims to examine the vulnerabilities and threats in the applications of intelligent transport systems, especially collision avoidance protocols. It focuses on achieving the availability of network communication among traveling vehicles. Finally,it aims to find a secure solution to prevent blackhole attacks on vehicular network communications. The proposed solution relies on authenticating vehicles by joining a blockchain network. This technology provides identification information and receives cryptography keys. Moreover, the ad hoc on-demand distance vector(AODV)protocol is used for route discovery and ensuring reliable node communication. The system activates an adaptive mode for monitoring communications and continually adjusts trust scores based on packet delivery performance. From the experimental study,we can infer that the proposed protocol has successfully detected and prevented blackhole attacks for different numbers of simulated vehicles and at different traveling speeds. This reduces accident rates by 60%and increases the packet delivery ratio and the throughput of the connecting network by 40%and 20%,respectively.However,extra overheads in delay and memory are required to create and initialize the blockchain network.

文摘Vehicular ad hoc networks(VANETs)provide intelligent navigation and efficient route management, resulting in time savings and cost reductions in the transportation sector. However, the exchange of beacons and messages over public channels among vehicles and roadside units renders these networks vulnerable to numerous attacks and privacy violations. To address these challenges, several privacy and security preservation protocols based on blockchain and public key cryptography have been proposed recently. However, most of these schemes are limited by a long execution time and massive communication costs, which make them inefficient for on-board units(OBUs).Additionally, some of them are still susceptible to many attacks. As such, this study presents a novel protocol based on the fusion of elliptic curve cryptography(ECC)and bilinear pairing(BP)operations. The formal security analysis is accomplished using the Burrows–Abadi–Needham(BAN)logic, demonstrating that our scheme is verifiably secure. The proposed scheme’s informal security assessment also shows that it provides salient security features, such as non-repudiation,anonymity,and unlinkability. Moreover, the scheme is shown to be resilient against attacks, such as packet replays, forgeries, message falsifications, and impersonations. From the performance perspective, this protocol yields a 37.88%reduction in communication overheads and a 44.44%improvement in the supported security features. Therefore, the proposed scheme can be deployed in VANETs to provide robust security at low overheads.
文摘The advancement of 6G wireless communication technology has facilitated the integration of Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks(VANETs).However, the messages transmitted over the public channel in the open and dynamic VANETs are vulnerable to malicious attacks.Although numerous researchers have proposed authentication schemes to enhance the security of Vehicle-to-Vehicle(V2V)communication,most existing methodologies face two significant challenges:(1)the majority of the schemes are not lightweight enough to support realtime message interaction among vehicles;(2)the sensitive information like identity and position is at risk of being compromised. To tackle these issues,we propose a lightweight dual authentication protocol for V2V communication based on Physical Unclonable Function(PUF).The proposed scheme accomplishes dual authentication between vehicles by the combination of Zero-Knowledge Proof(ZKP)and MASK function. The security analysis proves that our scheme provides both anonymous authentication and information unlinkability.Additionally, the performance analysis demonstrates that the computation overhead of our scheme is approximately reduced 23.4% compared to the state-of-the-art schemes. The practical simulation conducted in a 6G network environment demonstrates the feasibility of 6G-based VANETs and their potential for future advancements.
文摘The integration of technologies like artificial intelligence,6G,and vehicular ad-hoc networks holds great potential to meet the communication demands of the Internet of Vehicles and drive the advancement of vehicle applications. However, these advancements also generate a surge in data processing requirements, necessitating the offloading of vehicular tasks to edge servers due to the limited computational capacity of vehicles.Despite recent advancements, the robustness and scalability of the existing approaches with respect to the number of vehicles and edge servers and their resources,as well as privacy, remain a concern. In this paper,a lightweight offloading strategy that leverages ubiquitous connectivity through the Space Air Ground Integrated Vehicular Network architecture while ensuring privacy preservation is proposed. The Internet of Vehicles(IoV)environment is first modeled as a graph, with vehicles and base stations as nodes, and their communication links as edges.Secondly, vehicular applications are offloaded to suitable servers based on latency using an attention-based heterogeneous graph neural network(HetGNN)algorithm.Subsequently,a differential privacy stochastic gradient descent trainingmechanism is employed for privacypreserving of vehicles and offloading inference. Finally, the simulation results demonstrated that the proposedHetGNN method shows good performance with 0.321 s of inference time, which is 42.68%,63.93%,30.22%,and 76.04% less than baseline methods such as Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient,Deep Q Learning,Deep Neural Network, and Genetic Algorithm, respectively.
文摘Efficient and safe information exchange between vehicles can reduce the probability of road accidents, thereby improving the driving experience of vehicles in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks(VANETs).This paper proposes a group management algorithm with trust and mobility evaluation to address the enormous pressure on VANETs topology caused by high-speed vehicle movement and dynamic changes in the direction of travel. This algorithm utilizes historical interactive data to mine the fusion trust between vehicles. Then, combined with fusion mobility, the selection of center members and information maintenance of group members is achieved.Furthermore, based on bilinear pairing,an encryption protocol is designed to solve the problem of key management and update when the group structure changes rapidly, ensuring the safe forwarding of messages within and between groups.Numerical analysis shows that the algorithm in the paper ensures group stability and improves performance such as average message delivery rate and interaction delay.

文摘This paper deals with the co-design problem of event-triggered communication scheduling and platooning control over vehicular ad-hoc networks(VANETs)subject to finite communication resource.First,a unified model is presented to describe the coordinated platoon behavior of leader-follower vehicles in the simultaneous presence of unknown external disturbances and an unknown leader control input.Under such a platoon model, the central aim is to achieve robust platoon formation tracking with desired inter-vehicle spacing and same velocities and accelerations guided by the leader, while attaining improved communication efficiency.Toward this aim,a novel bandwidth-aware dynamic event-triggered scheduling mechanism is developed. One salient feature of the scheduling mechanism is that the threshold parameter in the triggering law is dynamically adjusted over time based on both vehicular state variations and bandwidth status. Then,a sufficient condition for platoon control system stability and performance analysis as well as a co-design criterion of the admissible event-triggered platooning control law and the desired scheduling mechanism are derived. Finally, simulation results are provided to substantiate the effectiveness and merits of the proposed co-design approach for guaranteeing a trade-off between robust platooning control performance and communication efficiency.

文摘As an important application scenario of 5G, the vehicular network has a huge amount of computing data, which brings challenges to the scarce network resources. Finally, the numerical results show that the proposed mechanism can effectively reduce the system overhead and achieve better results compared with others’ algorithms.

文摘In MEC-enabled vehicular network with limited wireless resource and computation resource, stringent delay and high reliability requirements are challenging issues. In order to reduce the total delay in the network as well as ensure the reliability of Vehicular UE(VUE),a Joint Allocation of Wireless resource and MEC Computing resource(JAWC)algorithm is proposed. The JAWC algorithm includes two steps:V2X links clustering and MEC computation resource scheduling. In the V2X links clustering,a Spectral Radius based Interference Cancellation scheme(SR-IC)is proposed to obtain the optimal resource allocation matrix.By converting the calculation of SINR into the calculation of matrix maximum row sum,the accumulated interference of VUE can be constrained and the the SINR calculation complexity can be effectively reduced. In the MEC computation resource scheduling,by transforming the original optimization problem into a convex problem, the optimal task offloading proportion of VUE and MEC computation resource allocation can be obtained. The simulation further demonstrates that the JAWC algorithm can significantly reduce the total delay as well as ensure the communication reliability of VUE in the MEC-enabled vehicular network.

文摘Encouraged by next-generation networks and autonomous vehicle systems, vehicular networks must employ advanced technologies to guarantee personal safety, reduce traffic accidents and ease traffic jams.By leveraging the computing ability at the network edge,multi-access edge computing(MEC)is a promising technique to tackle such challenges.Compared to traditional full offloading, partial offloading offers more flexibility in the perspective of application as well as deployment of such systems.Hence,in this paper,we investigate the application of partial computing offloading in-vehicle networks. In particular,by analyzing the structure of many emerging applications,e.g.,AR and online games,we convert the application structure into a sequential multi-component model.Focusing on shortening the application execution delay,we extend the optimization problem from the single-vehicle computing offloading(SVCOP)scenario to the multi-vehicle computing offloading(MVCOP)by taking multiple constraints into account.A deep reinforcement learning(DRL)based algorithm is proposed as a solution to this problem.Various performance evaluation results have shown that the proposed algorithm achieves superior performance as compared to existing offloading mechanisms in deducing application execution delay.
