A Ru(Ⅲ)-catalyzed annulation reaction of 2-aminoaromatic aldehydes(ketones)and isoxazoles to afford diverse 3-cyanoquinolines has been developed.Notably,isoxazole acted as a cyclization reagent and nontoxic cyano source via N-O bond cleavage and fragmentation.Variously substituted(especially 6-or 7-substituted)quinolines could be easily afforded.This procedure features wide functional group compatibility,efficiency and avoiding toxic cyano source.Meanwhile,this protocol could be successfully applied to scale-up synthesis.Further chemical transformations of 3-cyanoquinoline could give some valuable skeletons,demonstrating its potential in synthetic application. 展开更多

The development of lithium-ion batteries with high-energy densities is substantially hampered by the graphite anode's low theoretical capacity(372 mAh g^(-1)).There is an urgent need to explore novel anode materials for lithium-ion batteries.Silicon(Si),the second-largest element outside of Earth,has an exceptionally high specific capacity(3579 mAh g^(-1)),regarded as an excellent choice for the anode material in high-capacity lithium-ion batteries.However,it is low intrinsic conductivity and volume amplification during service status,prevented it from developing further.These difficulties can be successfully overcome by incorporating carbon into pure Si systems to form a composite anode and constructing a buffer structure.This review looks at the diffusion mechanism,various silicon-based anode material configurations(including sandwich,core-shell,yolk-shell,and other 3D mesh/porous structures),as well as the appropriate binders and electrolytes.Finally,a summary and viewpoints are offered on the characteristics and structural layout of various structures,metal/non-metal doping,and the compatibility and application of various binders and electrolytes for silicon-based anodes.This review aims to provide valuable insights into the research and development of silicon-based carbon anodes for high-performance lithium-ion batteries,as well as their integration with binders and electrolyte. 展开更多

Design and Economic Evaluation of Grid-Connected PV Water Pumping Systems for Various Head Locations

This research investigates the design and optimization of a photovoltaic(PV)water pumping system to address seasonal water demands across five locations with varying elevation heads.The systemdraws water froma deep well with a static water level of 30mand a dynamic level of 50m,serving agricultural and livestock needs.The objective of this study is to accurately size a PV system that balances energy generation and demand while minimizing grid dependency.Meanwhile,the study presents a comprehensivemethodology to calculate flowrates,pumping power,daily energy consumption,and system capacity.Therefore,the PV system rating,energy output,and economic performance were evaluated using metrics such as discounted payback period(DPP),net present value(NPV),and sensitivity analysis.The results show that a 2.74 kWp PV system is optimal,producing 4767 kWh/year to meet the system’s annual energy demand of 4686 kWh.In summer,energy demand peaks at 1532.7 kWh,while in winter,it drops to 692.1 kWh.Meanwhile,flow rates range from 11.71 m^(3)/h at 57 m head to 10.49 m^(3)/h at 70 m head,demonstrating the system’s adaptability to diverse hydraulic conditions.Economic analysis reveals that at a 5%interest rate and an electricity price of$0.15/kWh,the NPV is$6981.82 with a DPP of 3.76 years.However,a 30%increase in electricity prices improves the NPV to$10,005.18 and shortens the DPP to 2.76 years,whereas a 20%interest rate reduces the NPV to$1038.79 and extends the DPP to 6.08 years.Nevertheless,the annual PV energy generation exceeds total energy demand by 81 kWh,reducing grid dependency and lowering electricity costs.Additionally,the PV system avoids approximately 3956.6 kg of CO_(2) emissions annually,underscoring its environmental benefits over traditional pumping systems.As a result,this study highlights the economic and environmental viability of PV-powered water pumping systems,offering actionable insights for sustainable energy solutions in agriculture. 展开更多

CoFe bimetallic hydroxides(CoFe BMHs)find wide applications as excellent catalysts in the field of water splitting.However,no study has systematically investigated the influence of the morphologies of CoFe BMHs on catalyst performance.In this study,CoFe BMH nanoflowers(CoFe BMH NFs),CoFe BMH nanosheets(CoFe BMH NSHs),CoFe BMH nanorods(CoFe BMH NRs),and CoFe BMH nanospheres(CoFe BMH NSPs)were prepared on nickel foam via a hydrothermal method.CoFe BMH NSHs exhibited the most beneficial catalytic activity.At a current density of 100 mA·cm^(-2),its overpotential for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)was 282 mV,and the overall water splitting voltage was 2.05 V.The double-layer charging capacitance(Cdl)value of CoFe BMH NSHs was the largest in CoFe BMHs,which proves that CoFe BMH NSHs have the largest active area.Furthermore,the active site in the OER process was metal oxyhydroxide(MOOH)through in situ Raman characterization,and the generation of the active substance was an irreversible process.This work provides important insights into the design of catalyst morphologies and offers valuable guidelines for the enhancement of the performance of other catalysts. 展开更多

Isolation methods of exosomes derived from dental stem cells

Mesenchymal stem cells are highly regarded for their potential in tissue repair and regenerative medicine due to their multipotency and self-renewal abilities.Recently,mesenchymal stem cells have been redefined as“medical signaling cells,”with their primary biological effects mediated through exosome secretion.These exosomes,which contain lipids,proteins,RNA,and metabolites,are crucial in regulating various biological processes and enhancing regenerative therapies.Exosomes replicate the effects of their parent cells while offering benefits such as reduced side effects,low immunogenicity,excellent biocompatibility,and high drug-loading capacity.Dental stem cells,including those from apical papilla,gingiva,dental pulp,and other sources,are key contributors to exosome-mediated regenerative effects,such as tumor cell apoptosis,neuroprotection,angiogenesis,osteogenesis,and immune modulation.Despite their promise,clinical application of exosomes is limited by challenges in isolation techniques.Current methods face issues of complexity,inefficiency,and insufficient purity,hindering detailed analysis.Recent advancements,such as micro-electromechanical systems,alternating current electroosmosis,and serum-free three-dimensional cell cultures,have improved exosome isolation efficacy.This review synthesizes nearly 200 studies on dental stem cell-derived exosomes,highlighting their potential in treating a wide range of conditions,including periodontal diseases,cancer,neurodegenerative disorders,diabetes,and more.Optimized isolation methods offer a path forward for overcoming current limitations and advancing the clinical use of exosome-based therapies. 展开更多

The main goal of this paper is to present the free vibration and buckling of viscoelastic functionally graded porous(FGP)nanosheet based on nonlocal strain gradient(NSGT)and surface elasticity theories.The nanosheets are placed on a visco-Pasternak medium in a hygro-temperature environment with nonlinear rules.The viscoelastic material characteristics of nanosheets are based on Kelvin’s model.The unique point of this study is to consider the change of nonlocal and length-scale coefficients according to thickness,similar to the laws of the material properties.The Galerkin approach based on the Kirchhoff-love plate theory is applied to determine the natural frequency and critical buckling load of the viscoelastic FGP nanosheet with various boundary conditions.The accuracy of the proposed method is verified through reliable publications.The outcome of this study highlights the significant effects of the nonlocal and length-scale parameters on the vibration and buckling behaviors of viscoelastic FGP nanosheets. 展开更多

As smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 continue to evolve,fault diagnosis of mechanical equipment has become crucial for ensuring production safety and optimizing equipment utilization.To address the challenge of cross-domain adaptation in intelligent diagnostic models under varying operational conditions,this paper introduces the CNN-1D-KAN model,which combines a 1D Convolutional Neural Network(1D-CNN)with a Kolmogorov–Arnold Network(KAN).The novelty of this approach lies in replacing the traditional 1D-CNN’s final fully connected layer with a KANLinear layer,leveraging KAN’s advanced nonlinear processing and function approximation capabilities while maintaining the simplicity of linear transformations.Experimental results on the CWRU dataset demonstrate that,under stable load conditions,the CNN-1D-KAN model achieves high accuracy,averaging 96.67%.Furthermore,the model exhibits strong transfer generalization and robustness across varying load conditions,sustaining an average accuracy of 90.21%.When compared to traditional neural networks(e.g.,1D-CNN and Multi-Layer Perceptron)and other domain adaptation models(e.g.,KAN Convolutions and KAN),the CNN-1D-KAN consistently outperforms in both accuracy and F1 scores across diverse load scenarios.Particularly in handling complex cross-domain data,it excels in diagnostic performance.This study provides an effective solution for cross-domain fault diagnosis in Industrial Internet systems,offering a theoretical foundation to enhance the reliability and stability of intelligent manufacturing processes,thus supporting the future advancement of industrial IoT applications. 展开更多

A novel asymptotic linear method for micro-pressure wave mitigation at high-speed maglev tunnel exit:A case study with various open ratios on tunnel hoods

A high-speed train travelling from the open air into a narrow tunnel will cause the“sonic boom”at tunnel exit.When the maglev train’s speed reaches 600 km/h,the train-tunnel aerodynamic effect is intensified,so a new mitigation method is urgently expected to be explored.This study proposed a novel asymptotic linear method(ALM)for micro pressure wave(MPW)mitigation to achieve a constant gradient of initial c ompression waves(ICWs),via a study with various open ratios on hoods.The properties of ICWs and MPWs under various open ratios of hoods were analyzed.The results show that as the open ratio increases,the MPW amplitude at the tunnel exit initially decreases before rising.At the open ratio of 2.28%,the slope of the ICW curve is linearly coincident with a supposed straight line in the ALM,which further reduces the MPW amplitude by 26.9%at 20 m and 20.0%at 50 m from the exit,as compared to the unvented hood.Therefore,the proposed method effectively mitigates MPW and quickly determines the upper limit of alleviation for the MPW amplitude at a fixed train-tunnel operation condition.All achievements provide a ne w potential measure for the adaptive design of tunnel hoods. 展开更多

Balancing high display performance with energy efficiency is crucial for global sustainability.Lowering operating frequencies—such as enabling 1 Hz operation in fringe-field switching(FFS)liquid crystal displays—reduces power consumption but is hindered by image flicker.While negative dielectric anisotropy liquid crystals(nLCs)mitigate flicker,their high driving voltages and production costs limit adoption.Positive dielectric anisotropy liquid crystals(pLCs)offer lower operating voltages,faster response times,and broader applicability,making them a more viable alternative.This study introduces a novel approach to minimizing flexoelectric effects in pLCs by investigating how single components influence flexoelectric behavior in mixtures through an effective experimental methodology.Two innovative measurement techniques—(1)flexoelectric coefficient difference analysis and(2)displacement-current measurement(DCM)—are presented,marking the first application of DCM for verifying flexoelectric effects.The proposed system eliminates uncertainties associated with previous methods,providing a reliable framework for selecting liquid crystal components with minimal flexoelectric effects while preserving key electro-optic properties.Given pLCs'higher reliability,lower production costs,and broader material selection,these advancements hold significant potential for low-power displays.We believe this work enhances flexoelectric analysis in nematic liquid crystals and contributes to sustainable innovation in the display industry,aligning with global energy-saving goals. 展开更多

The quantum geometric tensor(QGT)is a fundamental quantity for characterizing the geometric properties of quantum states and plays an essential role in elucidating various physical phenomena.The traditional QGT,defned only for pure states,has limited applicability in realistic scenarios where mixed states are common.To address this limitation,we generalize the defnition of the QGT to mixed states using the purifcation bundle and the covariant derivative.Notably,our proposed defnition reduces to the traditional QGT when mixed states approach pure states.In our framework,the real and imaginary parts of this generalized QGT correspond to the Bures metric and the mean gauge curvature,respectively,endowing it with a broad range of potential applications.Additionally,using our proposed mixed-state QGT,we derive the geodesic equation applicable to mixed states.This work establishes a unifed framework for the geometric analysis of both pure and mixed states,thereby deepening our understanding of the geometric properties of quantum states. 展开更多

LiMn_(2)O_(4)(LMO)electrochemical lithium-ion pump has gained widespread attention due to its green,high efficiency,and low energy consumption in selectively extracting lithium from brine.However,collapse of crystal structure and loss of lithium extraction capacity caused by Mn dissolution loss limits its industrialized application.Hence,a multifunctional coating was developed by depositing amorphous AlPO_(4)on the surface of LMO using sol-gel method.The characterization and electrochemical performance test provided insights into the mechanism of Li^(+)embedment and de-embedment and revealed that multifunctional AlPO_(4)can reconstruct the physical and chemical state of LMO surface to improve the interface hydrophilicity,promote the transport of Li^(+),strengthen cycle stability.Remarkably,after 20 cycles,the capacity retention rate of 0.5AP-LMO reached 93.6%with only 0.147%Mn dissolution loss.The average Li^(+)release capacity of 0.5AP-LMO//Ag system in simulated brine is 28.77 mg/(g h),which is 90.4%higher than LMO.Encouragingly,even in the more complex Zabuye real brine,0.5AP-LMO//Ag can still maintain excellent lithium extraction performance.These results indicate that the 0.5AP-LMO//Ag lithium-ion pump shows promising potential as a Li^(+)selective extraction system. 展开更多

The gastrointestinal tract is essential for food digestion,nutrient absorption,waste elimination,and microbial defense.Single-cell transcriptome profiling of the intestinal tract has greatly enriched our understanding of cellular diversity,functional heterogeneity,and their importance in intestinal tract development and disease.Although such profiling has been extensively conducted in humans and mice,the single-cell gene expression landscape of the pig cecum remains unexplored.Here,single-cell RNA sequencing was performed on 45572 cells obtained from seven cecal samples in pigs at four different developmental stages(days(D)30,42,150,and 730).Analysis revealed 12 major cell types and 38 subtypes,as well as their distinctive genes,transcription factors,and regulons,many of which were conserved in humans.An increase in the relative proportions of CD8^(+)T and Granzyme A(low expression)natural killer T cells(GZMA^(low)NKT)cells and a decrease in the relative proportions of epithelial stem cells,Tregs,RHEX^(+)T cells,and plasmacytoid dendritic cells(pDCs)were noted across the developmental stages.Moreover,the post-weaning period exhibited an up-regulation in mitochondrial genes,COX2 and ND2,as well as genes involved in immune activation in multiple cell types.Cell-cell crosstalk analysis indicated that IBP6^(+)fibroblasts were the main signal senders at D30,whereas IBP6^(−)fibroblasts assumed this role at the other stages.NKT cells established interactions with epithelial cells and IBP6^(+)fibroblasts in the D730 cecum through mediation of GZMA-F2RL1/F2RL2 pairs.This study provides valuable insights into cellular heterogeneity and function in the pig cecum at different development stages. 展开更多

Hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))is one of the 100 most important chemicals in the world with high energy density and environmental friendliness.Compared with anthraquinone oxidation,direct synthesis of H_(2)O_(2) with hydrogen(H_(2))and oxygen(O_(2)),and electrochemical methods,photocatalysis has the characteristics of low energy consumption,easy operation and less pollution,and broad application prospects in H_(2)O_(2) generation.Various photocatalysts,such as titanium dioxide(TiO_(2)),graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4)),metal-organic materials,and nonmetallic materials,have been studied for H_(2)O_(2) production.Among them,g-C_(3)N_(4) materials,which are simple to synthesize and functionalize,have attracted wide attention.The electronic band structure of g-C_(3)N_(4) shows a bandgap of 2.77 eV,a valence band maximum of 1.44 V,and a conduction band minimum of−1.33 V,which theoretically meets the requirements for hydrogen peroxide production.In comparison to semiconductor materials like TiO_(2)(3.2 eV),this material has a smaller bandgap,which results in a more efficient response to visible light.However,the photocatalytic activity of g-C_(3)N_(4) and the yield of H_(2)O_(2) were severely inhibited by the electron-hole pair with high recombination rate,low utilization rate of visible light,and poor selectivity of products.Although previous reviews also presented various strategies to improve photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2) production,they did not systematically elaborate the inherent relationship between the control strategies and their energy band structure.From this point of view,this article focuses on energy band engineering and reviews the latest research progress of g-C_(3)N_(4) photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2) production.On this basis,a strategy to improve the H_(2)O_(2) production by g-C_(3)N_(4) photocatalysis is proposed through morphology control,crystallinity and defect,and doping,combined with other materials and other strategies.Finally,the challenges and prospects of industrialization of g-C_(3)N_(4) photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2) production are discussed and envisioned. 展开更多

The corrosion properties of pure zirconium(Zr)with different grain sizes in acid,alkali,and salt environments were studied.The microstructures of pure Zr were observed by optical microscope,X-ray diffractometer,and electron backscattered diffraction probe.The corrosion resistance of pure Zr was analyzed by electrochemical corrosion test and immersion test.Results show that pure Zr with grain size of 4–32μm can be obtained after annealing at 800°C for different durations,and the relationship between grain size and annealing duration is D^(3)−D_(0)^(3)=3.35t.The electrochemical corrosion and immersion corrosion test results show that the pure Zr with grain size of about 24μm(annealing at 800°C for 20 h)possesses the optimal corrosion resistance. 展开更多
