It will also compare the screening features of the CUDIT-R with those of the DSM-5 criteria for cannabis use disorder (CUD) based on the SCID-5-CT in a group of university students in Tehran, Iran. The study used the stratified random sampling technique to collect data from 541 students (19 to 24 years old) who used cannabis in Tehran universities in 2024. Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the uni-dimensionality of the CUDIT-R-Pr. We checked the reliability of the CUDIT-R-Pr using Cronbach Alpha, split-half, inter-rater, test-retest stability over time, and parallel testing equivalence. The results indicated that CUDIT-R-Pr is reliable, reproducible, and responsive, with substantial agreement and adequate interpretability. The CUDIT-R shows that it can tell the difference between different levels of cannabis use severity, which is known as discriminant validity. Receiver operating characteristic analyses confirmed this, using an area under the receiver operating characteristics curve (AUC = 0.95) at a cutoff of ten or less. This allowed CUDIT-R-Pr to accurately predict any DSM-5 based on the highest correctly classified value (0.89), demonstrating high levels of sensitivity (0.96), specificity (0.69), and Youden value (0.65). The exact maximum Youden index (0.72) showed that CUDIT-R-Pr could also predict moderate DSM-5 with a cutoff of twelve or less. To validate and generalize the CUDIT-R-Pr for use among Iranian cannabis users, we need more research.展开更多

文摘The purpose of this paper is to look into how reliable and valid the Persian version of the Cannabis Use Disorder Identification Test-Revised (CUDIT-R-Pr) is. To validate and generalize the CUDIT-R-Pr for use among Iranian cannabis users, we need more research.
文摘Objectives This study aimed to validate the Russian version of the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory(R-CBI)among nurses in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and explored factors contributing to burnout. Methods The original Copenhagen Burnout Inventory(CBI)was translated into the R-CBI using a rigorous forward-backward method and reviewed by experts.Between July and November 2022,1,530 nurses were recruited through convenience sampling method from various nursing settings in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to test the scale’s reliability and validity, including confirmatory factor analysis(CFA),internal consistency reliability, and concurrent validity.A linear regression analysis was conducted to identify influencing factors of burnout. Results The content of the R-CBI is consistent with the original CBI,consisting of 19 items with three dimensions. The Cronbach’sαcoefficient is 0.926 in Kazakhstan and 0.922 in Kyrgyzstan, ranging from 0.830 to 0.898 for three dimensions. The CFA results among nurses in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan supported the three-factor structure of R-CBI with good fit indices.Concurrent validity was established through significant correlations(P<0.001)with job satisfaction questionnaire(r=−0.457),Depression Anxiety Stress Scales(r=0.506 in depression,r=0.485 in anxiety,r=0.564 in stress),and WHO-5 Well-Being Index(r=−0.528).The overall burnout level was 36.1±17.6 and 37.5±17.4 in Kazakhstani and Kyrgyzstani nurses, respectively.Significant influencing factors of burnout included gender, age, educational level, and COVID-19 infection history. Conclusions The R-CBI was proved to be a reliable and valid tool for assessing nurses’burnout in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
文摘BACKGROUND During the gradual decline of physical and social functioning associated with end-stage renal disease, patients might experience a premonition of impending death, resulting in a series of pre-mourning grief responses called preparatory grief. The preparatory grief in advanced cancer patients(PGAC)scale is the most widely used preparatory grief scale for patients on hemodialysis in China.AIM To verify the reliability and validity of the PGAC scale in patients on hemodialysis.METHODS In total,327 patients undergoing regular hemodialysis in the blood purification center of three grade-A tertiary hospitals in Guangdong and Guizhou provinces were selected by convenience sampling. The assessment was administered using the general information questionnaire and the Chinese version of PGAC.SPSS 25.0 and Amos 24.0 were used for item analysis, confirmatory factor analysis(CFA),convergent validity, and internal consistency reliability estimation.RESULTS In the modified Chinese version of PGAC,7 dimensions covering 27 total items were retained.CFA revealed a good fit of the factor model(chi-square degree of freedom=2.056,standardized root mean square residual=0.0479,root mean square error of approximation=0.0570,GFI=0.872,AGFI=0.841,IFI=0.931,CFI=0.930,TLI=0.919).The factor loadings of the items ranged 0.503-0.884.The composite reliability ranged 0.664-0.914,and the average variance extracted ranged 0.366-0.747.Cronbach’sαof the scale was 0.945,and Cronbach’sαfor various dimensions ranged 0.662-0.914.CONCLUSION The modified PGAC has good reliability and validity, and it can effectively measure preparatory grief in patients on hemodialysis.

文摘Ecosystem services(ES)mapping and models have advanced in recent years.Improvements were made, and the assessments have transitioned from qualitative to quantitative.Although this is an important advancement, the ES mapping and modelling validation step has been overlooked, and this raises an important question in the credibility of the outcomes. This has been an important and unsolved issue in the ES research community that needs to be tackled. This highlight paper discusses the importance of validating single ES mapping and models.Conducting this using field or proximal/remote sensing raw data and not data from other models or stakeholder evaluation is important.A validation step should be mandatory in ES frameworks since it can assess the models’veracity, contribute to identifying the model’s weaknesses/strengths and ultimately represent a scientific advance in the field. This is easier to apply to the biophysical mapping and models of regulating and provisioning ES than to cultural ES,as the latter rely more on perception and cultural contexts. Also,ES supply models are easier to validate than demand and flow models.Robust and well-grounded models are essential for ensuring the reliability of individual ES maps and models and should be integrated into decision-making processes.Although several challenges arise related to the costs of data collection,in several cases prohibitive, and the time and the expertise needed to conduct this sampling and analysis, this is likely an imperative step that needs to be considered in the future. This will be beneficial in establishing ES research and improving decision-making and wellbeing.
文摘BACKGROUND The Victorian institute of sports assessment for patellar tendons questionnaire(VISA-P),a valid tool for patellar tendinopathy, has been used for patellofemoral pain(PFP).AIM To validate VISA-P in PFP.METHODS Study of validity, responsiveness and feasibility following COSMIN.Inclusion criteria:Subjects with PFP,aged 18 to 55.Agreement among 10 experts on the relevance and clarity of each item using Aiken's V coefficient determined content validity. An exploratory factorial analysis established structural validity. The correlation of VISA-P with knee injury and osteoarthritis outcome score for PFP and Osteoarthritis(KOOS-PF)and Kujala patellofemoral score(KPS;specific for PFP)analyzed the construct validity.Internal consistency was calculated with Cronbach'sαand test-retest reliability with the intraclass correlation coefficient(ICC).Feasibility considered the subjects'self-completion time.RESULTS The sample consisted of 103 knees from 73 subjects(47 female/26 male;aged 34.9±13 SD).The items were relevant and clear, with the exception of item-8,which didn't reach an acceptable level of agreement on clarity.Exploratory factorial analysis found a 2-factor solution, which explained 63.48%of the variance.VISAP achieved a strong and significant correlation with KOOS-PF(Spearman rho=0.826;P<0.001)and KPS(Spearman rho=0.771;P<0.001).The questionnaire showed adequate reliability(Cronbach'sα:0.752;ICC:0.934;P<0.0001;95%CI:0.902-0.955).The mean self-completion time was 232±0.52 SD seconds.CONCLUSION VISA-P proved to be valid and reliable to functionally assess PFP and/or chondromalacia patella.VISA-P is a feasible tool in the clinical and research environment, quick and easy to complete.

文摘Chlorophyll a(Chl a)is a key photosynthetic pigment and an essential indicator of phytoplankton biomass.Accurate Chl a measurements are crucial for understanding marine biogeochemical processes.China launched the Chinese Ocean Color and Temperature Scanner(COCTS)aboard the HY-1D satellite in 2020,yet its Chl a products require further validation in complex coastal waters. This study assesses HY-1D Chl a products in the Bohai and Yellow Seas, two optically complex coastal regions, using in situ data collected during multiple cruises.Additionally,we compare HY-1D Chl a products with those from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)and the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite(VIIRS).We observed that although Chl a products from HY-1D are generally consistent with those from the MODIS and VIIRS in spatial distribution, there are still significant errors when compared with in situ data. Therefore,we developed a new blended algorithm to improve the accuracy of HY-1D Chl a products. The algorithm distinguishes between turbid and relatively clean waters using a classification index based on the ratio of remote sensing reflectance(R_(rs)(λ)).After the initial classification,we developed targeted algorithms based on the optical properties of different water bodies. The new model shows a significant improvement, reducing the mean absolute percentage error(MAPE)from 43.1%to 24.3%.Additionally,merging Chl a data from HY-1D,MODIS,and VIIRS maintains good accuracy, with HY-1D Chl a products significantly enhancing data coverage and robustness. This research provides important support for producing high-quality HY-1D Chl a products for coastal waters.
文摘Objective:This study aimed to translate the de Morton Mobility Index(DEMMI)into Thai and assess its measurement properties. Methods:The de Morton Mobility Index(DEMMI)was translated into Thai using a cross-cultural translation method.A cross-sectional study was conducted in four public hospitals in Thailand between January and March 2023.A total of 260 patients were recruited from outpatient clinics.Convergent and known-group validity were evaluated through hypothesis testing.Construct validity was examined using confirmatory factor analysis.Reliability was assessed using Cronbach’s a coefficient. We also employed the Rasch analysis to validate validity and person reliability. Results:Content validity was high(S-CVI=0.96,I-CVI range:0.80e1.00).Strong convergent validity was observed, with a significant correlation(r=0.761,P<0.001)between the Thai DEMMI and the Parker Mobility Scale(PMS).Known-group validity was evident, demonstrating differences in scores across various patient groups.A confirmatory factor analysis supported the hypothesized factor structure of the Thai DEMMI with good fit indices:χ^(2)(df=4)=5.101,P=0.2771;χ^(2)/df=1.275,RMSEA=0.033;CFI=0.998;TLI=0.995;SRMR=0.016.The Thai DEMMI exhibited high internal consistency(Cronbach’s a=0.88).Rasch analysis revealed good person reliability(0.91)and acceptable information-weighted fit means square statistic(0.73-1.06).However,most items showed good fit based on the outlier-sensitive fit means square statistics(Outfit MNSQ),one exhibited a high Outfit MNSQ value of 29.94,suggesting a potential misfit. Conclusion:This study demonstrated the acceptable validity and reliability of the Thai DEMMI.Further evaluation of its responsiveness to change is still recommended.

文摘The study aims to determine the validity and reliability of the Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence–Third Edition(WPPSI-III)scores in a sample of kindergarten and lower primary pupils from Khartoum State,Sudan. It also aims to examine whether test’s factor structure in this sample replicated that of the original WPPSI-III.The study sample consisted of 384 kindergarten and primary school children in Khartoum State(females=50%mean age=4.14,SD=1.37),selected using stratified random sampling across its seven localities:Khartoum,Jebel Awliya,Khartoum Bahri,East Nile,Omdurman,Ombada,Karari. For concurrent validation, the children additionally completed the Goodenough Draw-a-Man Test, and the Colored Progressive Matrices.WPPSI-III scores demonstrated high internal consistency across the subtest items.Confirmatory factor analysis indicators for total, verbal, and performance intelligence were all excellent. The scale also showed weak to strong score stability ranging from 0.25(weak)to 0.88(strong)based on the Spearman-Brown equation,0.25 to 0.75 based on the Guttman split-half method. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient scores ranged from 0.54 to 0.93.The WPPSI-III and Goodenough Draw-a-Man Test scores concurrent validity scores were poor(0.05)to modest(0.31),and while those with the Colored Progressive Matrices test were poor(r=0.04–0.18).Thesefindings provide evidence to suggest that the WPPSI-III is appropriate for research use with kindergarten and lower primary school students in Khartoum State,Sudan.
文摘The nature of pramāṅa system, outlined by Dignāga(c.480-540 CE)and further elaborated upon by Dharmakīrti(c.600-660 CE),is an important part of the Buddhist logico-epistemological tradition.Within this pramāṅa system,self-awareness(svasaṃvedana)is considered a hallmark of the access to the mental states and factors. However, some of the key research often focuses on interpreting the valid cognition system and self-awareness separately, lacking specific descriptions of their interrelationship. This paper argues that self-awareness is not merely a byproduct of valid cognition but is intimately connected to it.Specifically,I posit that self-awareness should be regarded as the ultimate result of valid cognition within the Pramāṇa system.

文摘Verification and validation(V&V)is a helpful tool for evaluating simulation errors, but its application in unsteady cavitating flow remains a challenging issue due to the difficulty in meeting the requirement of an asymptotic range.Hence,a new V&V approach for large eddy simulation(LES)is proposed. This approach offers a viable solution for the error estimation of simulation data that are unable to satisfy the asymptotic range. The simulation errors of cavitating flow around a projectile near the free surface are assessed using the new V&V method. The evident error values are primarily dispersed around the cavity region and free surface. The increasingly intense cavitating flow increases the error magnitudes. In addition, the modeling error magnitudes of the Dynamic Smagorinsky-Lilly model are substantially smaller than that of the Smagorinsky-Lilly model. The present V&V method can capture the decrease in the modeling errors due to model enhancements, further exhibiting its applicability in cavitating flow simulations. Moreover, the monitoring points where the simulation data are beyond the asymptotic range are primarily dispersed near the cavity region, and the number of such points grows as the cavitating flow intensifies. The simulation outcomes also suggest that the re-entrant jet and shedding cavity collapse are the chief sources of vorticity motions, which remarkably affect the simulation accuracy. The results of this study provide a valuable reference for V&V research.
文摘BACKGROUND The computed tomography(CT)-based preoperative risk score was developed to predict recurrence after upfront surgery in patients with resectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)in South Korea. However, whether it performs well in other countries remains unknown.AIM To externally validate the CT-based preoperative risk score for PDAC in a country outside South Korea.METHODS Consecutive patients with PDAC who underwent upfront surgery from January 2016 to December 2019 at our institute in a country outside South Korea were retrospectively included. The study utilized the CT-based risk scoring system, which incorporates tumor size, portal venous phase density, tumor necrosis, peripancreatic infiltration, and suspicious metastatic lymph nodes.Patients were categorized into prognosis groups based on their risk score,as good(risk score<2),moderate(risk score 2-4),and poor(risk score≥5).RESULTS A total of 283 patients were evaluated, comprising 170 males and 113 females, with an average age of 63.52±8.71 years.Follow-up was conducted until May 2023,and 76%of patients experienced tumor recurrence with median recurrence-free survival(RFS)of 29.1±1.9 months.According to the evaluation results of Reader 1,the recurrence rates were 39.0%in the good prognosis group,82.1%in the moderate group, and 84.5%in the poor group. In comparison,Reader 2 reported recurrence rates of 50.0%,79.5%,and 88.9%,respectively,across the same prognostic categories. The study validated the effectiveness of the risk scoring system, demonstrating better RFS in the good prognosis group.CONCLUSION This research validated that the CT-based preoperative risk scoring system can effectively predict RFS in patients with PDAC,suggesting that it may be valuable in diverse populations.

文摘A self-centering bridge bent equipped with energy-dissipation(ED)beams is proposed.Quasi-static tests are conducted on self-centering bridge bents, both with and without ED beams,to validate the accuracy of the corresponding numerical models. The effects of various param-eters,such as the web area of ED beams, prestressing force of tendons, tendon arrangements, and number of column segments,on the seismic performance of self-centering bridge bents with ED beams are evaluated using the validated numerical model. The results demonstrate that the nu-merical models accurately replicate the quasi-static test results, with average errors in the lateral force remaining below 9.6%.The web area of ED beams significantly affects the strength, cumulative energy dissipation, and relative self-centering index(RSI)of the self-centering bridge bents.Increasing the prestressing force enhances the lateral force and self-centering capability of the bridge bents but has minimal effect on their ED capacity.Reducing the num-ber of segments in each column enhances the lateral force and cumulative hysteretic energy dissipation of the self-centering bridge bents while exerting an insignificant effect on the RSI.Thus, the proposed novel system is highly suitable for doubleor multicolumn piers supporting bridges in regions prone to strong earthquakes.
