Background:This study investigated the relationship between meteorological factors and daily outpatient visits to rabies post-exposure prophylaxis clinics to inform animal injury prevention strategies.Methods:Daily ou...Background:This study investigated the relationship between meteorological factors and daily outpatient visits to rabies post-exposure prophylaxis clinics to inform animal injury prevention strategies.Methods:Daily outpatient visit data from rabies post-exposure prophylaxis clinics in Jinan and corresponding meteorological data were collected from January 1,2020,to December 31,2022.A generalized additive model was used to quantitatively assess the relationship between these factors.A total of 202,010 patients visited these clinics during this period.Results:Daily mean,maximum,and minimum temperatures,and relative humidity were positively associated with outpatient visits.A 1°C increase in mean,maximum,and minimum temperatures corresponded to increases in daily visits of 1.65%(95%Confidence Interval(CI):1.55–1.76),1.59%(95%CI:1.50–1.69),and 1.27%(95%CI:1.17–1.36)respectively.Each 1%increase in relative humidity was associated with a 0.18%(95%CI:0.15–0.20)increase in visits.Mean pressure was negatively associated with outpatient visits,the outpatient visits decreased by 0.91%(95%CI:−1.71 to−0.11)for every 1 kPa increased in mean pressure.Conclusion:The change of meteorological factors will lead to the increase of outpatient visits in rabies exposure treatment clinic.展开更多

Catering in scenic areas is an important part of tourist experiences,yet the existing research on catering resources mainly focuses on tourist satisfaction and resource development,with limited analysis on the impact ...Catering in scenic areas is an important part of tourist experiences,yet the existing research on catering resources mainly focuses on tourist satisfaction and resource development,with limited analysis on the impact of catering resources distribution on tourists’visiting willingness.Thus,based on case analysis,surveys and data analysis,this study selected Mount Tai Scenic Area as the research object to conduct an in-depth investigation on the impact of the distribution of catering resources on tourists’visiting willingness,which identified many challenges faced by the distribution of catering resources in the scenic area and their underlying causes,finding that while there were rich varieties and concentrated catering options in high-traffic areas with strong tourists’visiting willingness,significant gaps remained in locations with weak tourists’visiting willingness.Furthermore,the overall catering offerings in Mount Tai Scenic Area demonstrated a notable deficiency in food products that authentically integrate with Mount Tai’s distinctive cultural heritage.To address such issues,improvement strategies were proposed for the development of catering resources in Mount Tai Scenic Area,including spatial development and integration,exploration of cultural connotations,and enhancement of tourism value,which provided insights for refining management of catering resources in forest park scenic spot,optimizing catering services,and enhancing the tourism experience of tourists.展开更多

Objective:To investigate the application effect of the discharge preparation plan based on the ADOPT nursing model in patients with first-visit ischemic stroke.Methods:Eighty patients with first-visit ischemic stroke ...Objective:To investigate the application effect of the discharge preparation plan based on the ADOPT nursing model in patients with first-visit ischemic stroke.Methods:Eighty patients with first-visit ischemic stroke admitted to our hospital from June 1,2024 to November 31,2024 were selected and divided into a control group(June 1,2024 to August 30,2024)and an intervention group(September 1,2024 to November 31,2024)according to different admission times,with 40 cases in each group.The control group received routine care and discharge guidance,while the intervention group received a discharge preparation plan based on the ADOPT model on the basis of routine care.The discharge readiness[Discharge Readiness Scale(RHDS)]of patients on the day of discharge was compared.Self-efficacy at 3 months after discharge[evaluated using the Chronic Disease Self-Efficacy Scale(SECD6)],activities of daily living[evaluated using the Barthel index(BI)],blood glucose and blood pressure indicators(diastolic blood pressure,systolic blood pressure,FPG,2 h PG),and readmission rate within 3 months after discharge were also compared between the two groups.Results:On the day of discharge,the RHDS-related dimension scores of the intervention group were higher than those of the control group(t=17.993,8.560,10.243,p<0.05);Three months after discharge,the SECD6 score and BI score of the intervention group were higher than those of the control group(t=8.910,10.899,both p<0.05);Systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure,FPG and 2h PG in the intervention group were lower than those in the control group(t=8.868,4.794,3.829,7.121,all p<0.05);Within 3 months after discharge,the readmission rate of the intervention group was lower than that of the control group(χ^(2)=5.165,2 p<0.05).Conclusion:The discharge preparation plan based on the ADOPT nursing model,when applied to patients with first-visit ischemic stroke,can not only enhance self-efficacy and discharge preparation,improve activities of daily living,but also optimize blood glucose and blood pressure indicators and reduce the readmission rate,which is worthy of reference.展开更多

Previous studies have reported associations of short-term exposure to different sources of ambient fine particulate matter(PM2.5)and increased mortality or hospitalizations for respiratory diseases.Few studies,however...Previous studies have reported associations of short-term exposure to different sources of ambient fine particulate matter(PM2.5)and increased mortality or hospitalizations for respiratory diseases.Few studies,however,have focused on the short-term effects of source-specific PM2.5 on emergency room visits(ERVs)of respiratory diseases.Source apportionment for PM2.5 was performed with Positive Matrix Factorization(PMF)and generalized additive model was applied to estimate associations between source-specific PM2.5 and respiratory disease ERVs.The association of PM2.5 and total respiratory ERVs was found on lag4(RR=1.011,95%CI:1.002,1.020)per interquartile range(76μg/m3)increase.We found PM2.5 to be significantly associated with asthma,bronchitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)ERVs,with the strongest effects on lag5(RR=1.072,95%CI:1.024,1.119),lag4(RR=1.104,95%CI:1.032,1.176)and lag3(RR=1.091,95%CI:1.047,1.135),respectively.The estimated effects of PM2.5 changed little after adjusting for different air pollutants.Six primary PM2.5 sources were identified using PMF analysis,including dust/soil(6.7%),industry emission(4.5%),secondary aerosols(30.3%),metal processing(3.2%),coal combustion(37.5%)and traffic-related source(17.8%).Some of the sources were identified to have effects on ERVs of total respiratory diseases(dust/soil,secondary aerosols,metal processing,coal combustion and traffic-related source),bronchitis ERVs(dust/soil)and COPD ERVs(traffic-related source,industry emission and secondary aerosols).Different sources of PM2.5 contribute to increased risk of respiratory ERVs to different extents,which may provide potential implications for the decision making of air quality related policies,rational emission control and public health welfare.展开更多
